Hintlesham Hall Wedding – Donna and Sam booked us for their Wedding way back in 2013! It was well worth the wait! They had in fact booked their venue AFTER talking to us and looking through our samples. It was a glorious Autumn day upon our arrival at the stunning Hintlesham Hall. There was plenty of time to capture the ‘getting ready’ pictures of Donna and the girls in the wonderful Braganza Suite and all preparations were going well. Away from the girls, Sam was doing his last minute finishing with his Best Men and Ushers.

Whilst I stayed with the girls, David went off to join the men. Sam’s pictures were taken outside as the beautiful weather allowed us to. Sam then joined the Wedding Guests who had started to arrive and after capturing a few informal pictures David returned to the girls in the Braganza Suite. By this time Donna was ready, looking absolutely fabulous! After a few pictures in the room we went to the back stairs for a few more before it was time for Donna to see the Registrars. The Bridesmaids, Paige the Flowergirl and Tyler the Pageboy waited in the Long Gallery waiting for Donna to join them. The Civil Ceremony was held in The Salon and when it was time Donna took her Father’s arm and walked into the room. Following the Ceremony everybody went into the Garden Room for the Drinks Reception. Being such a lovely day everyone went outside and socialised. After a little while we got on with taking the requested family photos. Leaving the Guests for a few minutes we took Donna, Sam and the Bridal Party to the front of Hintelsham Hall for a few pictures. Some lovely pictures with a splendid backdrop! The Bridal Party returned to join the rest of the Guests allowing us a little time alone with Donna and Sam for their pictures. Spoilt for choice, a whirlwind tour of the grounds resulted in some lovely pictures of the two of them. With time for Donna and Sam to enjoy the rest of their Drinks Reception we left them to it whilst we caught up on a few informal pictures. Just before the Wedding Breakfast Donna and Sam were showered in confetti. The Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast and Donna and Sam cut their Wedding Cake before exiting the room for the Band to set up. Waiting for the evening celebrations to begin we took Donna and Sam outside for some night shots. A little while after Donna and Sam’s First Dance we took our leave. Thank you Donna and Sam for choosing us to photograph your Wedding, it was a pleasure and you were brilliant! Thank you to Claire whose Wedding we photographed at Fennes in 2012 and recommended us and nice to see some familiar faces at this Wedding as well.

Donna & Sam were married at Hintlesham Hall, near Ipswich, Suffolk. Hintlesham Hall is set in beautiful grounds only a few miles from Ipswich, Suffolk and only a short distance from the A14.

Marquee Wedding Suffolk

It was a beautiful day for Helen and Jamie’s Church and Marque Wedding. Our first port of call was to Helen and Jamie’s home for some getting ready pictures. Whilst Helen was having the final touches applied to her make-up and hair we got on with taking detail and accessories pictures. Once Helen was ready we took a couple of bridal portraits then a couple of pictures with her Parents before leaving. St Edmund’s Church, Assington was the place where the Church service for Helen and Jamie’s chose to get married. With the sun shining brightly the flowers over the gateway to the Church enhanced the picturesque scene. Guests were beginning to arrive so we took a few pictures of Jamie, his Best Man and Ushers, followed by a couple of requested pictures. Whilst the Guests made their way into the Church, Anna, their Flowergirl waited outside for Helen to arrive. Helen arrived in a white Morgan driven by her Father and after a couple of pictures walked up the path to the Church. Anna led the way into the Church sprinkling flower petals as she went, followed by Helen escorted by her Father. After the service we took a few family pictures before the Guests threw confetti over Helen and Jamie as they reached the gateway. Helen and Jamie wanted to have a few pictures of themselves in the Church before leaving, so their Guests left to go the Reception. Jamie then drove the car to the Woods where we created some nice pictures of the two of them. It wasn’t long before we all joined the Guests at Jamie’s Parents’home for the Reception. Their Guests were relaxing in the garden so we captured the images before the Wedding Breakfast in the Marquee. We returned after the Wedding Breakfast to take a few informal pictures of the evening celebrations, including the First Dance. A stroll down the road and into a field for a splendid sunset picture concluded our coverage of Helen and Jamie’s summer Wedding. A wonderful day!

Barnardiston School wedding – Sophie-Jane & Christopher

It was an early start for Sophie-Jane & Chris’ summer ceremony at Withersfield Church and Barnardiston School wedding reception in Suffolk. We arrived at Sophie-Jane’s Parents house where all the preparations were happening for Sophie, the Bridesmaids, Flowergirl and Pageboys. Hair and Make up preparations were going well and whilst this was taking place, we capturing the moments, as well as taking pictures of Sophie-Jane’s Dress and Accessories. It was a beautiful day, really hot but fortunately we found a shady spot in the garden for a few pictures. Taking a few pictures of them all we then left them to go to St Mary the Virgin Church at Withersfield. Chris arrived on his Dad’s tractor so after taking a couple of pictures and his Groomsmen, they made their way into the Church. As the Guests arrived we took some arrival pictures. Sophie-Jane arrived a little while later and with all the Guests inside the Church made her way into the Church for the service. Following the service, Sophie-Jane and Chris led their Wedding Guests out of the Church into the brilliant sunshine for a few requested pictures. Once these were completed the Guests lined the path and showered Sophie-Jane and Chris with confetti as they walked towards the car. Barnardiston School was the venue for the Reception. Whilst waiting for all of the Guests to arrive we took Sophie-Jane and Chris for a walk around the grounds finishing with a few pictures in the School, which holds fond memories for Sophie. Later, after Sophie-Jane and Chris had time to socialise with their Guests we got on with taking the requested family pictures. With garden games,and a Bouncy Castle everybody enjoyed the afternoon sun. The Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast. Some of the Guests, especially the children, wanted their pictures taken in the tractor which we were happy to take. The evening Guests started to arrive and soon it was time for the cake cutting and First Dance. The best place for a sunset picture was in a nearby cornfield just up the road and Sophie-Jane and Chris were more than happy to get in our car and off we went. It was worth it! Happy with our coverage a short time later we said our goodbyes. Thanks to Sally of Splinters Catering for looking after us so well. A lovely day!

We first met Sophie at a Wedding Fair a couple of years ago and not long afterwards she booked us to cover her Wedding Day which is happening very soon! As we had not met Chris we decided to meet both of them one evening at their Reception Venue, Barnardiston Hall Preparatory School. It was a dry, chilly evening but that didn’t matter as we were able to take a walk around the grounds, as well as find which areas inside we could use on the day of the Wedding. Lots of ideas before the Wedding Day, how many will we use on the day!

Wedding Photography Smeetham Hall Barn – Sasha & Neil

Wedding Photography Smeetham Hall Barn

It was a beautiful day for Sasha and Neil’s Wedding at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer, Suffolk. Sasha, her Bridesmaids and Parents were getting ready at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury and that’s where we met them early on the Wedding Day. After capturing some getting ready pictures, we took a few formal pictures when they were all dressed.

Sasha looked amazing and we took some lovely bridal images of her. Leaving them we made the journey to Smeetham Hall Barn for the Civil Ceremony. Neil was busy with last minute preparations when we got there but we managed to find some time for his pictures and some with his Groomsmen. Once these were completed Neil greeted a few of the Guests before moving out of sight into the Barn before Sasha arrived. After meeting with the Registrars, Sasha took her Father’s arm and joined the Bridesmaids in the Marquee, before they made their way into the Barn for the Ceremony. Sasha and Neil exchanged their vows with the sun streaming in through the windows. After the Ceremony, Sasha and Neil led the way into the Marquee where they spent a little while talking with their Guests. During the Drinks Reception, the requested family pictures were taken outside as it was dry and bright. The grounds of Smeetham Hall Barn looked lovely bathed in winter sunshine and Sasha and Neil as well as ourselves wanted to make the most of the opportunity. Later the Speeches took place followed by the Wedding Breakfast. Whilst the Barn was arranged for the evening Reception and the Band was setting up, it was nice to take some shots of Sasha and Neil by the Christmas Tree. Sasha and Neil’s evening Guests arrived and a short while later it was time for the cake cutting and the First Dance. Smeetham Hall Barn at night looks beautiful and before we left we took a couple of pictures of Sasha and Neil outside. A lovely end to our Wedding photography coverage of a wonderful couple and a fantastic day.

Priory Hall Wedding Fair – Hadleigh, Suffolk

Priory Hall Wedding Fair – We enjoyed our day yesterday displaying out wedding photography at Priory Hall Wedding Fair, where we met some lovely couples. We look forward to seeing some of you in the near future.

Our central Priory Hall Wedding photograph was of course very popular with it’s ‘Constable’ look.

It was nice to meet and talk to Sarah Elliott of Heathcote & Hare Fine Catering and to meet Helene of Suffolk Cupcake Co.

Priory Hall Wedding Fair Sunday 14th September 2014 – 11am-3pm – David and I are looking forward to attending the Priory Hall Wedding Show at Hadleigh, Suffolk this Sunday. This Wedding Show is put on by The Main Event Wedding Company and will be our first show with them and at this Venue. We have lots to show you, and would like to invite you to come and look around this wonderful Wedding Venue and visit us in the Marquee. This is the venue for one of our iconic and Award Winning photographs!
