Wedding Photography Smeetham Barn for Christina & Paul

Wedding Photography Smeetham Barn for Christina & Paul’s Winter Wedding. First of all we travelled to The Old Rectory House, Great Waldingfield. Wow! What a place. The House and the grounds are wonderful.  Christina was getting ready in the house with her Bridesmaids. Preparations were going well. All the girls were relaxed, enjoying their time together. With hair and make-up completed the Bridesmaids got dressed and then helped Christina. Having space made for some nice pictures.

Suffolk Wedding Photographer Once Christina was dressed we took some pictures of them in the room before going downstairs.  At the bottom of the stairs Christina’s Parents were waiting for her.  They had not seen her at all that morning so they were looking forward to the first look at her fully ready for her Wedding. Some nice moments. We stepped outside to take a few pictures before leaving them and driving to Smeetham Hall Barn. We met with Paul, his Best Man, Ben, Ushers, Luke and Ben and his Parents when we arrived.  The forecast for the weather was not brilliant so we quickly got on with taking their pictures outside. Guests were arriving so they greeted them whilst we  took a few pictures. They then all made their way into the Barn for the Ceremony. Christina arrived and after meeting with the Registrars waited a few minutes in the Marquee before then going into the Barn. After the Ceremony, the Drinks Reception was held in the Marquee, where everyone socialised, so we took some informal pictures. As it was raining, the requested group pictures were taken later in the Barn with a few of Christina and Paul outside. Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding PhotographerUnder cover outside we took a few smaller group pictures as well as some picture of Christina and Paul. Christina really wanted a picture by the gates when you come down the drive to Smeetham Hall Barn, no problem. We collected our car from the car park , Christina and Paul got in and off we went! Although it wasn’t far, they would have got rather wet if they walked! Wedding Photography Smeetham BarnReturning to the Barn,  Christina and Paul had a little more time with their Guests and we took an ‘everybody’ picture, before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches were before the meal was served. After the Wedding Breakfast the Evening Guests arrived.  Christina tossed her bouquet to the waiting ladies who had congregated on the dance floor. Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding PhotographerAfterwards Christina and Paul cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. A few evening pictures of the two of them finished our coverage of their Wedding Day. A lovely day!

Outdoor Engagement session for Amy & Tom

Last year in the Autumn we met with Amy and Tom for an outdoor Engagement session at Danbury Lakes. This is one of  one of the nicest places to take an outdoor Engagement session particularly with the Autumn colours!  Meeting here and taking some pictures of Amy and Tom meant a great deal to them as it holds very special memories for them. We had a nice walk taking relaxed pictures as we went and talked about their forthcoming Wedding at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer in the Spring this year.

Priory Hall Wedding Photography for Sarah & Ian

We arrived at Sarah’s Parents’ home in the morning of Sarah and Ian’s Wedding Day. Hair and Make-up was in the finishing stages so we got on with taking a few pictures and a few pictures of Sarah’s accessories etc.

Once Sarah, her Bridesmaids, Parents and Brother were ready we went outside for some pictures.  The sun was shining and we all wanted to make the most of the weather. We left then to travel to Ipswich School  which was the Venue for the Wedding Ceremony.

We met with Ian and his Groomsmen and took a few pictures of them before too many of the Guests arrived. Just as we had finished their pictures a few spots of rain fell so the Guests quickly made their way into the School. The Bridesmaids arrived and waited for Sarah to arrive which wasn’t long after. Under the shelter of brollies we all made our way inside.1962 3

Sarah and Ian were to be married in the splendid Chapel so when it was time Sarah took her Father’s arm and made her entrance. After the Ceremony Sarah and Ian led their Guests outside, the rain which was predicted to last all afternoon, had stopped! We quickly got on with taking the requested group pictures as we had a lovely backdrop. During this time our fingers were crossed the weather would hold out. Phew! We managed to take the pictures and the confetti pictures as well.  1962 5

It was at this point our luck ran out! Off we all went for the Wedding Reception at Priory Hall, Hadleigh. Sarah and Ian wanted a few pictures outside when we arrived at Priory Hall so we took these straight away with the aid of some brollies but you would hardly know it was pouring! As the Guests arrived they enjoyed the Drinks Reception inside Priory Hall together with Sarah and Ian.

Whilst they were mingling we took some informal pictures as well as some requested other pictures. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Marquee . After the main course it was time for the Speeches to take place. We managed to take Sarah and Ian outside as there was a break in the weather for some night shots later on. The evening celebrations were held in the main hall  and a little later Sarah and Ian had their First Dance. Soon after we left them to continue the celebrations. Sarah, you smiled all day long despite some challenging moments, thank you..  A lovely day!

Ipswich School Engagement Pictures for Sarah and Ian

Sarah and Ian’s Engagement pictures were taken at Ipswich School.  Meeting them there one evening worked well as it is the Venue where they are getting married. As usual with a new venue, we like to visit ahead of the wedding to familiarise ourselves with the area. The Engagement shoot was an ideal opportunity to look around and familiarise ourselves with this location before Sarah and Ian’s Wedding Day. It is so nice to work at different places and we are so looking forward to this one. Afterward taking the pictures we finalised the arrangements for their wedding. We came away buzzing!

Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographers for Danielle & Rick

We were Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographers for Danielle and Rick on a hot summer day. First of all Danielle was getting ready at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury. Danielle was there with her family and friends who were staying there, having arrived from Australia for her and Rick’s Wedding Day. Danielle was having her hair done so we got on with taking the accessory pictures,  keeping an eye on the preparations as well. The Bridesmaids were doing a grand job sorting everything out as Danielle’s Mum was unfortunately not feeling very well and couldn’t help as much as she wanted. Excitement was building as the time was as always, going quickly. With the hair and make-up finished they all changed into their dresses.  The Horse and Carriage arrived which increased the excitement.  We had a little time for a few pictures when  they were all dressed, including a picture of the girls looking down from the balcony of their room before we had to leave.

Wedding Photographer SuffolkDanielle and Rick wanted a Church Wedding which was at the wonderful St Andrews Church, Bulmer. We met Rick there with his Best Man and Ushers and took a few pictures.  Guests were arriving so they made their way into Church before the arrival of Danielle. A short time later Danielle arrived. Although the day was warm and bright, it was also windy so we took the minimum of pictures letting Danielle and the rest of the party get into the Church as quickly as possible.Wedding Photographer Suffolk After the service Danielle and Rick wanted a few family pictures at the Church before they walked down the avenue of trees while their Guests threw confetti. The happy couple got into the carriage for short journey to Smeetham Hall Barn which was the Venue for the Wedding Reception. After everybody arrived at Smeetham and had a chance to relax during the Drinks Reception we got on with creating some pictures. Taking the Bridal Party away to the Lake for some fun Bridal Party photographs worked well, before they left us with Danielle and Rick for their together pictures.Smeetham Hall Barn Recommended Wedding Photographer Opportunities for lovely pictures at Smeetham are plentiful, if there is the time and the couple want the pictures! After taking Danielle and Rick’s  pictures it was time for the greeting line, before the start of the Wedding Breakfast. Good timing, it then rained for a while! Speeches were during the meal, introduced by Jimmy Lee Entertainment and Danielle and Rick cut their Wedding Cake. During the evening we captured a few pictures  of the evening celebrations including the First Dance. Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographers From when Danielle booked us for their Wedding, she really wanted a sunset, but as we know this cannot be ordered or guaranteed! Earlier on they, got a rainbow, fingers crossed for a sunset. Danielle and Rick spent the time with us, watching the sun go down, a beautiful sunset! A wonderful end to our day as Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographers.

  • Jimmys Farm Wedding Reception

    Jimmys Farm Wedding Reception

A first for us, a Jimmys Farm Wedding Reception! A Wedding with a difference!  Let’s start at the beginning of Andrea and Simon’s Wedding Day. Our first port of call on day of the Wedding was arriving at Andrea’s Parents’ home. Andrea was in the final stages of having her make-up and hair done so after capturing a couple of pictures we got on with taking pictures of  Andrea’s Wedding Dress and accessories. Sarah, Andrea’s sister, Sarah, helped Andrea then get into her Wedding Dress. Andrea’s Father was waiting downstairs and we were there to capture the moment.Wedding Photographer Colchester It had been raining earlier but had dried up enough for us to take some family pictures outside on the patio. With a few bridal portraits and the car pictures taken we then left to go to St Mary the Virgin Church, Langham, Colchester. Arriving at this lovely Church, we met with Simon and his Best Man, Dan. Car shots were first! Simon had the use of Dan’s own TVR! Before the Guests started to arrive we took some requested family pictures as well as some pictures of Simon.  Simon and Dan and the ‘Usherettes’ then went about their duties. The pathway leading up to the Church gives the opportunity of some nice Guest arrival pictures which we took. The Guests were seated in the Church when Andrea arrived for the Wedding Ceremony. After the service, with everybody in the church grounds we got on with the requested pictures. Colchester Wedding Photographer Fingers had been crossed for the weather to hold as Andrea and Simon wanted the majority of the family and group pictures taken at the Church. It worked! Once these were completed, Andrea and Simon were covered with confetti at the Lych Gate. Afterwards the Guests left to go to Jimmy’s Farm and Simon and Andrea went for a very short drive. They then returned to the Church wanting a few shots down the driveway and also had the opportunity of getting some different pictures overlooking Dedham Vale. Not to be missed! Deciding to take their ‘together’ pictures and other pictures around proved to be a good idea!Wedding Photographer Colchester Arriving at Jimmy’s Farm, the sun was out and the Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception. Sarah who is married to Dan awaited for Andrea and Simon to arrive.  The four of them then walked together into Jimmy’s Farm to where the the Guests were.  Some lovely pictures!Wedding Photographer Jimmy's Farm Andrea and Simon had time to socialise with their guests as we only had an everybody picture and a few informal group shots to take. The meal was inside the Barn and when the Guests were seated Andrea and Simon made their entrance.  A lovely atmosphere! Platters of sumptuous BBQ food from the Farm were provided for the guests to help themselves to. Following the meal Andrea and Simon cut their Wedding Cake. It was a nice evening so the Guests mingled outside before the First Dance.  After the First Dance there was a beautiful sunset and to top it all, a moon shot as well! Jimmys Farm Wedding ReceptionWhat a truly enjoyable day! Thank you Anna, (lovely to see you),  and Craig, (hope you enjoyed your friend’s stag do!)  whose Wedding we photographed at Crabbs Barn in 2014, for recommending us.

    Woodhall Manor Wedding Photography

It was nice to be back for more Woodhall Manor wedding photography in Woodbridge, Suffolk. This time for the Wedding of Natalie and Shane. This beautiful country Mansion looked a picture in the sunshine as we arrived and it was going to be a hot day.  Natalie was getting ready inside the Manor so first of all we went off to meet with her. Make-up and hair were well underway and other preparations were going well. Shane was getting ready in the Cottage with his Groomsmen and once they were ready we took a few pictures. The Bridesmaids were first to put their dresses on, the chosen colour complimenting the weather! Natalie followed soon after and looked lovely. After taking a few pictures it was time for the Civil Ceremony outside. Taking her Father’s arm Natalie followed the Bridesmaids towards the Dovecote in the walled garden where the Ceremony was taking place.

Wedding Photography Woodhall Manor for Jade and Andy

We were delighted in more ways than one, to be asked to photograph Jade and Andrew’s Wedding at Woodhall Manor, Woodbridge, Suffolk. We had previous bookings when asked previously for Weddings at Woodhall Manor, so we were pleased when Jade and Andrew gave us their date for their Wedding and we were available! We arrived early at the stunning Wedding Venue,  Woodhall Manor, Woodbridge on the morning of Jade and Andrew’s Wedding with the staff preparing for an inside Ceremony. Although Jade and Andrew wanted an outside Ceremony it was considered the grass was rather wet so inside was planned.  First off we went to find Jade who was getting ready with her Bridesmaids.

Woodhall Manor Wedding PhotographerWhilst the girls were getting ready, David went off to find the men who were finishing off their preparations in the Cottage. During this time there was a quick turnaround with the Ceremony, outside it would be, the sun was out, the temperature was increasing rapidly and the grass was fine!Wedding Photographer Woodhall Manor Woodbridge SuffolkAfter taking some pictures of Andrew and his Groomsmen, as Jade and her Bridesmaids and Parents were ready we took a few pictures of them. Jade looked amazing! Soon it was time for the short walk to where the Wedding Guests were seated for the outside Ceremony. After the Ceremony, Jade and Andrew walked around the back of Woodhall Manor for the Drinks Reception and we had time for a couple of pictures of them before they were joined by their Guests.Wedding Photography Woodhall Manor Suffolk For a while everybody then mingled before we got on with taking the requested family group pictures, allowing us to capture some nice informal pictures. During the time before the Wedding  Breakfast we took Jade and Andrew for a short walk around the Venue for a few pictures of them. Just before the Wedding Breakfast in the Banqueting Suite we took an ‘e shot in front of the Manor House.  Coverage of the Speeches took place after the Wedding Breakfast then everybody went outside where Garden games were set up. It was a beautiful evening and during this time we had a chance to chat with Georgina (Andrew’s sister) and Simon, whose Wedding we photographed at The Fennes Estate in 2010. With the room set up for the evening celebrations Jade and Andrew cut their Wedding cake before taking to the dance floor for their First Dance together. Some evening pictures of Jade and Andrew ended our coverage of their wonderful Wedding Day. • Priory Hall Wedding Photography for Victoria and Sam

Priory Hall Wedding Photography for Victoria and Sam

It was lovely to be back for a Priory Hall Wedding Photography at this wonderful Wedding Venue in Hadleigh, Suffolk. This was for the Wedding of Victoria and Sam. Our day started at the home of Victoria’s Parents, where Victoria and her Bridesmaids were getting ready.  Arriving at the house all was relaxed although busy with all the preparations. After taking a few details and getting ready shots,  the Bridesmaids got dressed followed by Victoria who was  assisted by her sister and Mum. Rain was in the air so we didn’t venture outside so instead made use of the Conservatory and took some Bridal Portraits of Victoria, who looked amazing, in the Lounge.

Priory Hall Wedding PhotographySt Mary’s Church, Woolpit, was where Victoria and Sam were to be married so when it was time we left for the short journey to the Church. Meeting up with Sam at the Church we took a couple of pictures of him and his Groomsmen in Church as it was now drizzling.  The brollies made the first appearance of the day when the Bridesmaids arrived with the Ushers doing a wonderful job in keeping them dry! As Victoria arrived, the drizzle had stopped, so taking her Father’s arm she followed the path and into the Church. During the service we kept a eye on the weather outside, although we had Plan B lined up if the weather did it’s worst! After the service instead of going outside when they came down the aisle, Victoria and Sam stayed in the Church, ready for Plan B! Having earmarked our spot for the family groups we got on with the requested pictures. Afterwards Victoria, Sam and their Guests made a quick dash to the cars for the journey to  Priory Hall. Hadleigh.Suffolk Church Wedding Photographer

The skies were brightening as we drew nearer to Priory Hall but the rain was still falling, so Victoria and Sam had their Reception drinks and canapés inside. As the Guests were socialising we took a couple of pictures upstairs and as Victoria and Sam re-joined their Guests the rain stopped. Making sure Victoria and Sam had their share of the drinks and canapés and socialised we got on with some fun group pictures followed by the confetti.  Priory Hall Wedding PhotographerThis worked really well and a little while later it was time for the Wedding Breakfast, which was held in the Marquee. Victoria and Sam wanted  a couple of pictures in the maze and  it worked well  to take these in between their Starter and Main Meal. The Speeches provided some great reactions, caught of course! Once these were finished everybody made their way back into Priory Hall for the evening celebrations.Recommended Wedding Photographer Priory Hall A few evening pictures were taken later together with capturing images of the First Dance. A couple of night shots ended our coverage of Victoria and Sam’s Wedding Day. A wonderful day and a lovely couple!
