  • Bruisyard Country Estate wedding – Sandie & Jim

Bruisyard Country Estate, was a new Wedding Venue for us, located near Saxmundham, Suffolk. Sandie and Jim have been together for many years and wanted to ‘tie the knot’ at Wedding Venue not too far from them, without too much fuss. They chose the Bruisyard Country Estate to celebrate with their friends and family.

The weather was lovely when we arrived, on the morning of their Wedding, so we had a good look around before anyone was about and took some pictures of the setting.

Preparations were going on in the House so we went off to find them. Sandie and Jim didn’t want getting ready pictures taken so we left them to finish getting ready. It was just as well really as Jim was feeling under the weather.

As the Guests started to arrive, they congregated in the Courtyard at outside the Barn, which was very relaxed and enabled us to get some informal pictures. Jim, his sons, Bob and Sonny, welcomed the Guests. Just before leaving the house, we took a couple of pictures of Sandie with her bridesmaids and flowergirls.

Guests took their seats for the Ceremony, just before Sandie arrived at the Barn in a camper van with her sister.

    Exchanged of vows

The ceremony and exchange of vows was followed by their Drinks Reception.

    The weather turned!

Unfortunately the weather had turned and it was raining, so socialising took place inside the barn, until we could go outside. We did go outside and take some pictures which was good during the afternoon.

Later it was time for the meal and as the sky was good we were able to go out and take a couple of pictures on the bridge.
The evening party started and we are pleased to say Jim felt much better in time for the dancing.

Sandie and Jim wanted their Bruisyard Country Estate wedding to be relaxed and casual and more about their friends and family than them. Happy with our coverage of what they wanted for their special day we said our goodbyes.

  • Wedding Photography for Julie & Mike at Felixstowe Town Hall

We were pleased to be asked by Julie and Mike to take a few pictures of their low key Wedding at Felixstowe Town Hall. Julie and Mike just wanted a selection of pictures to record their Ceremony and the time afterwards spent with their families and a few friends.

Mike was greeting a few of the Guests at the venue when we arrived, so after taking a couple of pictures of him, it wasn’t long before Julie arrived with her son . After a couple of pictures of them, they made their way upto the Ceremony Room.

After Julie and Mike had made their vows, exchanged rings they exited the room to a side room for a reception.

After a short while we took Julie, Mike and their Guests outside for a group picture and a few requested pictures they wanted.

On a less cold and windy afternoon we would all have stayed outside for a little longer. Julie and Mike after having a little warm up inside then came back outside for a few pictures of them a little later.

  • Hintlesham Hall Wedding Photography for Jemma & Ben

Hintlesham Hall Wedding Photography is always great and we were delighted that Jemma and Ben booked us for their autumn Wedding. It was a beautiful November day. We arrived quite early in the morning at Hintlesham Hall so we could take some images of the preparations going on.

Jemma and her sister, Olivia, were enjoying the time getting ready upstairs. With lots to photograph we got on with our job whilst Jemma and Olivia continued their preparations. Once the pictures of Jemma’s Dress and accessories were taken Olivia put her Bridesmaid Dress on and then assisted Jemma.

Meanwhile, Ben was downstairs in Hintlesham Hall with his Best Man and Ushers. After the Groomsmen had their pictures taken outside, they greeted the Guests as they arrived.

Jemma was almost ready when she was joined by her Mother and Father upstairs. Good timing! Jemma looked elegant in her dress, after a few Bridal pictures we got on with taking a few family pictures in the room. It was then time for Jemma to make her way to the Ceremony. On the way Jemma paused on the staircase for a few extra pictures.

    The Wedding Ceremony

With everybody seated for the Ceremony, the doors opened and Jemma holding her Father’s arm walked up the aisle. After the Ceremony, Reception Drinks were served inside and everyone socialised for a little while. As it was  such a lovely afternoon we were able to take all the requested family group pictures outside.

We then took Jemma and Ben for a short walk around the grounds. Hintlesham Hall is a lovely setting and has many opportunities for pictures with wonderful backdrops. Autumn colours enhanced the setting and we were eager to take advantage of it. Jemma and Ben’s together pictures were lovely.

It was a lovely day for Becky and Marcus’ Church Wedding at Lavenham and their Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography and reception. Becky, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready at The Swan, Lavenham. When we arrived there earlier in the day preparations were well underway. We stayed a while in the room where the preparations were going capturing a few of these pictures before going off to photograph Becky’s Wedding Dress and accessories in another room. Essex Wedding PhotographerReturning to the girls it was time for the Bridesmaids to go and get changed and Becky followed soon after. With lots going on and time evaporating extremely quickly everyone was very focused!

David decided to go to the Church during changing whilst I remained with the girls. So good to have the Church just up the road! Once Becky and the Bridesmaids were ready, I just took a couple of pictures of them before Becky’s Father came upstairs to see his daughter. It is one of those moments I love and I was happy to be there. My turn now to get my skates on and leave them and make my way to the St Peter & St Paul Church.Essex Wedding PhotographerDavid had taken the pictures of Marcus and his Groomsmen and they were inside the Church awaiting the arrival of Becky. The Bridesmaids and Becky arrived and entered the Church. After the service Becky and Marcus came out of the Church and went off to the side to allow their Guests to exit. The guests lined the path and showered the happy couple!Essex Wedding Photographer At the Church we took the few requested family pictures before leaving to go to Smeetham Barn.

Drinks awaited everyone at Smeetham. After Becky and Marcus had some social time we went over to the House and grounds for a few pictures of them. Enjoying the weather everyone socialised outside and we got on with taking some informal pictures. Soon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast followed by the Speeches. Some great reactions captured!

As the time before the Wedding Breakfast had been a little short,  the Bridal Party and us went over to the lake for a few fun relaxed pictures after the meal.Wedding Photographer Smeetham Hall Barn Keeping Becky and Marcus a little while longer, we took a few more pictures of them by the water. Returning to their Guests as the Evening Guests were now arriving.

Becky and Marcus had time to socialise for a while.Later they cut their Wedding cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance.

Clare Priory & Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography

Jemma and Nick were married earlier this year at Clare Priory with their Reception at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer. Our day started at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury which is where Jemma and Nick were getting ready. Jemma was being assisted by her Bridesmaids and preparations were going well. Meanwhile Nick was being helped by his Groomsmen in a different part of the Hotel.

Both sets of preparations pictures were very relaxed and good fun. Once Nick was ready we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen outside The Mill Hotel before he set off for Clare Priory. The girls were soon ready for their pictures and we took those in the room.Wedding Photographer Suffolk It was then time for David and I to set off for Clare Priory. The Church of Clare Priory is lovely and located in a picturesque setting. When we arrived Nick and his Groomsmen were greeting some Guests but we had time to take a few pictures of them before they carried on with their duties. A little while later Jemma arrived with her Father and the Bridesmaids. When everyone was seated in the Church, Jemma made her entrance. The lighting of a Candle started the service.Clare Priory & Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding PhotographyAfter the service the Wedding Guests mingled whilst we spent a few minutes in the gardens outside the Church taking a few pictures of Jemma and Nick. Before leaving the Guests threw confetti over Jemma and Nick.

    Easton Grange Wedding Photography

Easton Grange Wedding Photography for  Karly and Mark. This was our  first time photographing a Wedding at this wonderful venue.

The Winter so far had not been the best so we had our fingers crossed their day there would be a change for their day. Although chilly, it was a bright day when we arrived at Easton Grange and we went off to meet Karly and the girls.Easton Grange Wedding Photography

    The Preparations

There was laughter and lots going on in the Bridal Changing Room. Karly, her Bridesmaids and Madison, Karly’s daughter  were busy getting ready.

Mark was getting ready in the Bakehouse so after a little while David went off to see the men.

Preparations were going well, pictures of Karly’s Wedding Dress and Accessories were take as well as capturing some nice informal moments. In the other camp Marka nd his Groomsmen were getting ready and once they were ready they made their way to the Barn.

There was time for their pictures to be taken just before the Coach bringing the Wedding Guests arrived. Mark and his Groomsmen then greeted the Guests. Meanwhile the girls were getting dressed  as the time was going very fast. Once they were dressed a few pictures were taken before it was time for the Wedding Ceremony.

    The Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Everyone was seated in the Ceremony Barn ready for the entrance of Karly. Karly looked amazing as she walked down the aisle and joined Mark at the front of the Barn. Wedding Photographer Easton GrangeAfter the Ceremony, everyone moved to the area between the two Barns for the Drinks Reception. As the wind was blowing and it was not  very warm we decided to take the requested family groups in the Barn a little later on. After Karly and Mark had time to spend with their Guests we took them and the Bridal Party outside for a few pictures. Easton Grange Wedding PhotographerThe sun was shining and we captured some good  fun pictures. Karly and Mark wanted a picture on the bridge over the river. Unfortunately, due to the recent wet weather it was flooded. Nevertheless, we made good use of the grounds around Easton Grange for their pictures.

During the afternoon we also took some informal shots of the Guests.

The Speeches, Wedding Breakfast and Evening Celebrations

The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Celebratory Barn. Karly and Mark chose to do the Speeches then have the meal. We took Karly and Mark outside between courses for a couple of pictures as the sun was setting. Once the meal was finished everyone went out of the Barn so it could be turned around for the evening celebrations.Easton Grange Wedding Photographer It was nice that many of the Guests then went outside into the Courtyard for the ‘Sparklers’ pictures. What great pictures!

it was then time for us to leave them all to continue with their evening celebrations. Thank you Karly and Mark for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers.

We had a lovely day! Congratulations!

Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography – Rosie & Ross

Rosie and Ross chose the wonderful Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer, as their venue for their Wedding. Our day started at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury, where Rosie, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready. After taking a few getting ready pictures and pictures of Rosie’s Wedding Dress and Accessories, the girls got dressed.Sudbury Wedding Photographer Whilst this was happening we had found a good area for taking a few pictures of them. This was only a few steps from the room they were in. Luckily, we didn’t come into contact with any Guests going to the Wedding! It was a good spot, we worked quickly as we had to leave to get to Smeetham Hall Barn. Suffolk Wedding PhotographerArriving at Smeetham Hall Barn, Ross was greeting a few Guests.  Once we had got all the Groomsmen together we took a few pictures of them after which they resumed their duties. Rosie arrived and after seeing the Registrars, with the Bridesmaids leading the way walked into the Barn, accompanied by her Father.

    The Barn looked wonderful

The Barn looked wonderful, decorated by W.Flowers. After the Ceremony, everyone went outside and enjoyed the Drinks Reception.  The weather was lovely and Rosie and Ross were able to take full advantage off socialising and having pictures around the grounds.

Following the requested group pictures. Rosie and Ross resumed mingling with their Guests.

During the afternoon we took the Bridal Party to the lawn infant of the House for some pictures and whilst we were there we took Rosie & Ross’ ‘together’pictures.Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography We rounded off the afternoon pictures with the the throwing of confetti. It was then time for the Wedding Breakfast and afterwards the Speeches. Straight after the Speeches, Rosie, Ross and ourselves headed away from the Guests to the fields at the back of Smeetham. Moreves Barn Wedding Photography for Katy & Sean

Katy and Sean booked us for Moreves Barn wedding photography. A perfect place for a summer country Wedding, we loved it!  On the morning of the Wedding we travelled to The Case, Assington, which is where Katy, her Parents and Bridesmaids were  staying and getting ready for the Wedding. Not only is The Case a wonderful place to stay but the food is absolutely fabulous!

Katy was enjoying her morning of getting ready and was so relaxed! Come to that so were all of them! Whilst the final preparations were taking place we took pictures of Katy’s dress and accessories. Leah, the Flowergirl looked lovely  in her dress as did the Bridesmaids. Katy looked stunning in her Wedding Dress. Once her Father had come into the room and seen her we got on with the pictures. We stepped outside and found a sheltered spot as it was a touch windy.

    Moreves Barn

With a few pictures taken we left them to go to Moreves Barn for the Ceremony. Sean and his Groomsmen were there and quickly took a few pictures of them before they were needed for their duties. With the guests all safely out of the way  Katy arrived and went up the outside steps into the Barn. A few minutes later Katy and her Father walked down the aisle. Katy’s Grandma was able to view the Ceremony from the ground floor which was perfect. Moreves Barn Wedding Photography

Following the Ceremony the Guests left by one entrance, then when they all gathered in the Courtyard, Katy and Sean came down the steps and once on terra firma were showered in confetti. Everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception outside. Katy and Sean went for a short drive in the car before we got on with the requested family pictures. There are so many photo opportunities at Moreves Barn that you are spoilt for choice, so during the rest of the afternoon we used a few of these without taking Katy and Sean away from their Guests for too long. The Speeches and Evening Celebrations

Time for the Speeches before the Wedding Breakfast. It was a nice evening so whilst waiting for the evening Guests to arrive and the evening celebrations to begin we took Katy and Sean for a few more pictures around the grounds. Katy and Sean cut their Wedding Cake before going onto the dance floor, not for their First Dance though!

A game took place between the two of them which was amusing. After their First Dance and when we had taken a few informal pictures to capture the evening, the sunset beckoned! A massive ‘thank you’ to Katy and Sean for that extra walk for the sunset picture, it was worth it! Wedding Photographer Suffolk Moreves BarnHappy with our coverage of Katy and Sean’s Wedding we said our ‘goodbyes’.  A fantastic Wedding and a pleasure to work with such a lovely couple! It was lovely to catch up Nicola (Sean’s sister) and Kris again, we photographed their Wedding at Crabbs Barn in 2013. It was also nice to see Katherine and Matt again whose Wedding we photographed at Haughley Park Barn in 2013. This was our first Moreves Barn Wedding Photography and we thoroughly liked it, we are looking forward to working there again.

  • Katy & Sean – some nice words
