Wedding Photography Fennes – Hollie and Chris

It was a windy but dry and warm day for Hollie and Chris’ Summer Wedding at Fennes. Hollie and Chris wanted to have an outdoor Civil Ceremony at Fennes and their wish came true. Hollie and her Bridesmaids were getting ready in the house whilst Chris and his Groomsmen were getting ready in the Lodges. When Chris was ready he had some pictures taken. Meanwhile, Hollie and her Bridesmaids were getting dressed, so they were ready for their pictures. Soon it was time for Hollie to go and see the Registrars before the start of the Ceremony. The Bridesmaids then led the way outside, followed by Hollie and her Father. After the Ceremony, Hollie and Chris spent a little time with their Guests before the arranged pictures. We changed the planned location for the requested family pictures closer to the guitarist, as the wind had got up, making it hard for the guests hear him play. The Guests carried on enjoying the Drinks Reception whilst we took Hollie and Chris for a short walk around the grounds for their ‘together’ pictures. Before the Wedding Breakfast we did an ‘everybody’ heart shot. Thank you to Sue from Fennes for helping us to achieve this so speedily! Everyone then made their way into the Pavilion for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches took place before the meal so they could all enjoy the meal without pressure! Afterwards and before the evening Guests arrived we took a few pictures of Hollie and Chris in the Gold Room and Red Room. The cake cutting was before Hollie and Chris took to the dance floor for their First Dance together. Capturing a lovely sunset picture for Hollie and Chris completed our coverage of their Wedding.

Wedding Photography Fennes – Stephen & Richard

It was a lovely day for the Wedding of Stephen and Richard at Fennes. When we arrived at The Fennes Estate on the morning of the Wedding Stephen was getting ready in the cottage and Richard was getting ready upstairs in the House. Stephen and Richard chose to have one best man each and one best woman each to help them with all the preparations and what a good job they did! Once ready they had a few pictures taken of themselves together with their friends, before it was time for seeing the Registrars in the Library.

Richard and Stephen chose to meet in the Library before going to the Ceremony in the Pavilion. When it was time the Best Men and Best Women led the way, followed by Stephen and his Mother Linda and Richard with his Mother, Mary. After the Ceremony, the Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception outside, whilst Richard and Stephen had a few moments together. They soon made their way outside, cheered by their Guests and joined them for Drinks. Richard and Stephen enjoyed relaxing and socialising for a little while whilst we were on hand to capture the moments. During the afternoon we took some requested groups and relaxed fun pictures. There was time later for a short walk around the wonderful grounds of Fennes for Stephen and Richard’s together pictures. After the confetti pictures it was time for the Weddding Breakfast. Following the meal the Speeches began. Rukan, Richard’s Best Woman, started off the Speeches and introduced those following. Naomi, Stephen’s Best Woman completed the round of Speeches in her great theatrical style! Brilliant reactions! There was a little time before the evening Guests arrived, so Stephen, Richard and ourselves went to the front of the house for some pictures. The evening celebrations began with the cake cutting, then Stephen and Richard took to the dance floor. Our final coverage of the guys’ Wedding was a sunset picture. Thank you Stephen and Richard for asking us to photograph your Wedding, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Fennes Wedding Photography – Zhanine & David

Our day started early with a visit to Zhanine and David’s home for Zhanine’s bridal preparation shots for her Wedding. With David downstairs taking some images of the hair and make-up, I went upstairs to photograph Zhanine’s dress and accessories. When Zhanine’s hair and most of her make-up were finished it was time for her to get dressed. Zhanine’s sister and Bridesmaid helped her get ready whilst I got a few action shots. The time had run out so we quickly took a couple of bridal portraits of Zhanine before we left to go to the Church. Our Lady Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, Chelmsford, was where Zhanine and David were to be married. Once we had finished our brief chat with Father Hugh, taken some detail shots and met with the Videographer who was shooting his first wedding. David, his Best Man and Ushers arrived and and quickly disappeared into the Church to take up their duties. We found time between the guest arrivals to take a few arranged pictures of them. It wasn’t long before Zhanine, accompanied by her Father arrived. We took a couple of pictures before the music began and Zhanine took her Father’s arm and they made their way into the Church. After the service as Zhanine and David left the Church with their Parents and the Bridal Party, we took a couple of quick group pictures of them all, before the rest of the Guests joined them outside. After greeting their Guests for a little while, Zhanine and David were showered in confetti just before getting into the car to go to the Reception. The Fennes Estate was the chosen Reception Venue and a particular favourite of ours. It was a beautiful day and Fennes looked wonderful. Zhanine and David’s Wedding Guests arrived at various intervals and were entertained by the Piper. We got on and took some relaxed and informal pictures during the Drinks Reception. Once we believed everybody had arrived we took the family group pictures. During the afternoon we managed to achieve the pictures that were required as well as taking Zhanine and David onto the bridge for the their pictures. A patch of Bluebells provided a lovely backdrop for a few bride and groom pictures but as always at Fennes there are so many opportunities for pictures that we are spoilt for choice! Later the Piper piped Zhanine and David into the Pavilion for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches provided some amusing images before people went outside to enjoy the nice evening. Able to find a little time to take some evening pictures of Zhanine and David later we were pleased with the results. Zhanine and David cut their Wedding cake before their First Dance, which was followed by a Ceilidh. Nice to work with www.debbielloyd.co.uk for and www.bridalpromhairdesign.com. A great day!

Wedding Photographs Fennes for Kristen & Andrew

Wedding Photographs Fennes – The popular friendly Wedding Venue, The Fennes near Braintree, Essex, was Kristen and Andrew’s choice for their Wedding Day. Arriving at Fennes, Kristen was busily getting ready upstairs with the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls. Preparations were going well, so with keeping an eye on developments together with taking some detail pictures, it was busy! David sought out the men who were almost ready and when they were, there was time for some pictures to be taken. For a change David took Andrew, with his Best Man, Andy, out the back of Fennes for their pictures, even though it was raining.
Pleased with the results they returned to the house. Meanwhile, Kristen was in the final stages of getting dressed and soon ready for some pictures.

Equally some lovely pictures captured of Kristen and the girls. In no time at all it was time for the Wedding Ceremony. With the Guests seated the Flowergirls led the way into the Pavilion followed by the Bridesmaids and Kristin escorted by her Father. Following the Ceremony, Kristen and Andrew led their Guests to the front of Fennes for the Drinks Reception.

Unable to go outside at that particular time due to the continuing rain, the Wedding Guests made themselves comfortable in the rooms in Fennes, leaving us the Gold Room to take some pictures of the happy couple. A short while after the rain stopped, we all went outside for a few pictures, making good use of the steps. Later after socialising with their Guests, Kristen changed her footwear so we could venture further outside for their pictures. Kristen and Andrew wanted to make the most of the superb grounds for their wedding photography, so off we went, for a short tour! An enjoyable time, resulting in some lovely pictures for them.

Once they were back indoors the Guests threw confetti over Kristen and Andrew before the guests made their way to the Pavilion for the Wedding Breakfast. This allowed a few minutes for some pictures of Kristin and Andrew in the Red Room, before they also made their entrance into the Pavilion. Speeches followed the meal and then the Pavilion was prepared for the evening celebrations. After their evening Guests arrived in time for cutting the Wedding Cake shortly prior to the First Dance. Some lovely moments captured! Our coverage of Kristin and Andrew”s Wedding Day finished with their ‘sparklers’. A great day!

Wedding Photographer The Fennes, Bocking, for Lauren & Terry

The Fennes Estate was the chosen Wedding Venue for Lauren and Terry’s Wedding. This lovely Venue is a joy to work at and fantastic for a wedding photographer! An early start was required for Lauren and her Bridesmaids with lots of preparations going on. When we arrived we just followed the sound of laughter and excitement which led us upstairs into the Bridal Room. In between taking the details and accessory pictures, we captured some lovely informal moments of the preparations. At the same time we were keeping our ears open for the sound of a McLaren Sports Car which had been a surprise for Terry, he was being picked up and driven to Fennes by his Best Man. We wanted to make sure we were in the right place so we did not miss the big arrival. Once Terry with his Best Man and Ushers were all there, they quickly finished their preparations in the Library before any of the Guests arrived and we took a few portraits.

Back upstairs the girls were almost ready. Lauren, six Bridesmaids and family members, and ourselves all moved to The Fennes Suite where there was more room for the finishing off and pictures. As usual, the time was rapidly disappearing so we had to work quickly to get the pictures needed for Laura’s Storybook album. Lauren’s Dad was waiting at the bottom of the stairs and greeted her before she saw the Registrars.

Once the Guests were seated in the Pavilion, Lauren and her Bridesmaids made their entrance looking beautiful. Everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception outside whilst we arranged the requested family pictures. Trying to keep the wonderful relaxed atmosphere going we took some fun pictures of the Bridal Party and some car shots. Leaving their Guests temporarily for a few minutes to take Lauren and Terry for their bridge shots resulted in some nice images.

After the confetti shots it was time for the Speeches prior to the Wedding Breakfast in the delightfully decorated Pavilion. Lauren and Terry wanted some pictures in the Red Room and Gold Room together with other evening pictures. To make the most of their Venue in the pictures we took these in the relaxed time after the meal.

Going here, there and everywhere capturing images of the day, kept us busy!

Following the First Dance and some informal pictures of the evening Guests it was time for us to say goodbye. A superb day! A couple of notes we must add, it is always great to work with David of Rideout Films as we keep each other informed of what is happening that either of us could miss, and thanks to the staff at Fennes for making us welcome as usual.

Fennes Wedding Photography – Olivia & Jon

It was a beautiful day for the Wedding of Olivia and Jon at The Fennes Estate, Bocking. Just following the sound of laughter and excitement when we arrived to where the girls were getting ready, set the tone for the day! With lots going on, it was a busy start, not forgetting Jon with his Groomsmen getting ready as well. Time as usual was going very quickly but we were able to get a few pictures of the girls before it was time to go downstairs. With Olivia and Jon’s Wedding Guests seated outside ready for Civil Ceremony, Olivia took her Father’s arm and made her way through the Gold Room and out into the sunshine, to where Jon was waiting for her in the Gazebo. After the Ceremony, Olivia and Jon enjoyed a little time socialising with their Guests before it was time to take the requested family group pictures, followed by the everybody shot. During the Drinks Reception we took some great fun shots and a few pictures of Olivia and Jon around the splendid grounds of Fennes. The Gold Room provided the setting for the confetti pictures before the Wedding Breakfast. Speeches followed before Guests went outside to enjoy the evening sunshine. Shortly before the first dance we took Olivia and Jon for a few pictures with the spectacular sunset. Later, Olivia and her Bridesmaids performed a surprise dancing routine, which resulted with Jon and the men giving a reply! A lovely day, a lovely couple and great to work with Iain Wagstaff, the Videographer again.

Wedding Photography for Gemma & Richard – Fennes

Gemma and Richard chose the superb Fennes Estate for their Spring Wedding. With final bridal preparations taking place, Richard and his Groomsmen were arriving. Being a dry and bright day, and once Richard was ready, we took a few pictures of him, his Best Man, Ushers and Parents outside. All was well with the Girls and after taking a few pictures of them it was time for the Civil Ceremony.Whilst Gemma and Richard were in the Wedding Ceremony, there was a short shower, but by the time they had greeted their Guests in the Drinks Reception we were able to go outside for the main pictures. Gemma and Richard had chosen a colourful theme for their day which blended well with the sunshine and daffodils. A wonderful setting, lovely pictures! Making sure Gemma and Richard had breaks in between their pictures to talk to their Guests, gave us the chance to capture the informal pictures. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and was followed by the Speeches. Later Gemma and Richard wanted a couple of pictures outside the Bridal Cottage and in the Gold Room . After the cake cutting it was time for the First Dance and Gemma and Richard surprised their Guests with their rehearsed dance routine, which was great! Our day ended a short time later.
