    Crondon Park Wedding Photographer for Stephanie and Will

    Brentwood Cathedral and Crondon Park Wedding Reception. It was a dry start to the day for Stephanie and Will’s Wedding. Stephanie and her family were getting ready at The Harvard Inn, Stock, so we made our way there on the morning of the Wedding. Final Bridal preparations were going well so we got on with taking some pictures of the dresses and accessories. Once Stephanie was looking lovely in her Wedding Dress, her Father came into the room to see her, some nice moments. We took a few groups pictures and a couple of Bridal portraits of Stephanie before we left.  Our destination for the Wedding Ceremony was the splendid Brentwood Cathedral. We had our fingers crossed that the weather would hold out for the pictures of Will and his Groomsmen before the Ceremony.  The forecast for the day was not too good! Will was at Brentwood Cathedral with his Groomsmen when we got there, so we got on straight away with a few pictures of them. Wedding Photographer Essex The men then greeted the Wedding Guests whilst we took some arrival pictures of them.  The rain started to fall a few minutes later, phew! It wasn’t long before Stephanie, her Parents, Bridesmaids and Flowergirls arrived, fortunately they didn’t have far to walk from the car to the entrance of the Cathedral. Using the cover we took a few pictures before Stephanie took her Father’s arm, the doors of the Cathedral opened and the Bridesmaids led the way into the Cathedral. We so love Brentwood Cathedral! Such space and a beautiful ambience.Essex WeddingPhotographer After the service, Stephane and Will made their way to the exit and paused just outside the doors for a couple of pictures as it was still raining.  The Guests remained inside as Stephanie and Will turned back to join them. Having the area to take the large family pictures inside we got on with arranging these requested pictures. Wanting just a window of opportunity to go outside we thought was not on the cards but just as we finished the family shots pictures inside the rain stopped! It was so nice as Stephanie and Will’s Guests blew bubbles over them after we did an ‘everybody’ picture. We worked quickly taking the pictures whilst the weather was on our side.  As we left Brentwood Cathedral the rain started again, great timing! Wedding Photographer Crondon ParkCrondon Park, Stock was the Venue for the Reception and after Stephanie and Will and their Guests arrived, they had time to socialise during the Drinks Reception. Finding time a little later we took Stephanie and Will for a few pictures outside before the Receiving Line and Wedding Breakfast.Crondon Park Wedding Photographer Afterwards it was time for the Speeches. The Barn was then set up for the evening’s entertainment.  Stephanie and Will had their First Dance soon after which was followed by a Ceilidh. As always these are great fun and after capturing some pictures, it was time for us to leave. It was such a pleasure to work with Stephanie and Will, such a lovely couple! A Crondon Park Wedding always seems to make nice pictures!

    Pre-Wedding Pictures – In the summer last year Jodie and Oliver came to see us to update us on their Wedding plans for their Wedding at Fennes in the Autumn. It was nice to see them again and after a chat about their Wedding Day we went for a short stroll locally for some pictures of them. It was a lovely day and we took some simple nice pictures.

    Wedding Photography Layer Marney Tower – Lydia & Terry

    Layer Marney Tower – Lydia and Terry chose the wonderful Layer Marney Tower for their Wedding.  First of all we started off at The Holiday Inn, Eight Ash Green, Colchester, which is where Lydia and her family were staying. Everything was running smoothly, so we were able to capture a flavour of the day’s preparations and taking pictures of the accessories. After a few pictures of the girls,  a couple of pictures of Lydia, who looked stunning in her Wedding Dress, and a couple with her Parents once they were ready we left them to it and went to Layer Marney Tower. We met with Terry, his Best Man, Ushers and his Parents straight away when we arrived.  After taking a few pictures of them, the double decker Bus had arrived with the Guests so we were able to take a few pictures of them. Terry and his Groomsmen greeted the Guests before Terry was ushered to see the Registrars. Lydia arrived a little later on in the Layer Marney car and as there was a little time spare we were able to take a couple of pictures. The Wedding Ceremony was held in the Corsellis Room and when it was time Lydia made her entrance accompanied by her Father and Bridesmaids. After the Ceremony, Lydia and Terry went for a short ride whilst their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception in front of the tower whilst we took some informal pictures.   On Lydia and Terry’s return from their car ride, they walked up the path in the glorious sunshine towards the Tower and their Guests.

    Wedding Photography Layer Marney Tower As Lydia and Terry’s Wedding was in the early afternoon there was plenty of time for them to mingle with their Guests and we had more time for taking the pictures in the afternoon. With Lydia and Terry being such a wonderfully relaxed couple, what more could we ask for! The requested family group pictures were taken and a little while afterwards we took the fun bridal party pictures.   Using the area in front of the Tower, such a wonderful setting and with the sun shining, these turned out well! Lydia and Terry wanted a few pictures around the grounds including the Barn. Layer Marney Recommended Wedding PhotographerThey enjoyed doing these as we did too! Just before the Wedding Breakfast the Guests threw confetti over Lydia on the stairs before they all sat down for the meal in the Long Gallery.Layer Marney Tower Recommended Wedding Photographer After the Speeches, the Long Gallery was set up for the evening’s entertainment. It was  such a beautiful evening everyone went outside, we took  a little time out with Lydia and Terry for a few evening pictures and some pictures of the evening Guests as they arrived.Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photographer Lydia and Terry cut their Wedding Cake later in the evening and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. A sunset concluded our coverage of Lydia and Terry’s wonderful Wedding Day!

    Ipswich School Engagement Pictures for Sarah and Ian

    Sarah and Ian’s Engagement pictures were taken at Ipswich School.  Meeting them there one evening worked well as it is the Venue where they are getting married. As usual with a new venue, we like to visit ahead of the wedding to familiarise ourselves with the area. The Engagement shoot was an ideal opportunity to look around and familiarise ourselves with this location before Sarah and Ian’s Wedding Day. It is so nice to work at different places and we are so looking forward to this one. Afterward taking the pictures we finalised the arrangements for their wedding. We came away buzzing!

    Stephanie and Paul visited us one afternoon to up-date us on the details of their forthcoming Wedding at Fennes.  It was an ideal opportunity to meet their children, Sienna and Evie, before the Wedding. We know from past experience that familiarising ourselves with younger children can make a big difference on the wedding day itself! It was a nice afternoon so we used our local River Walk to take a few pictures of them all and a few of Stephanie and Paul together. Stephanie and Paul are getting married at Fennes.

    Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Fayre – Sunday 8 January 2017

    The Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Fayre is, this Sunday 8th January, from 11am-3.30pm. It is very well organised by Sharon Donaldson of The Wedding Fayre and it is well worth a visit. David and I are looking forward to attending and exhibiting our Wedding Photography at this wonderful Wedding Venue. We will have new sample Albums of complete Weddings for you to view, so why not come and have a chat about your Wedding Day requirements. As always this is a very busy show  and popular Venue so there will be lots of Exhibitors showcasing their work.     Tara and Tom asked us to be their  Colchester Town Hall Photographer and afterwards at Green Island Gardens, Ardleigh, for their Summer Wedding.  It was a beautiful day when we arrived at Tara’s Parents’ home for Tara’s preparation pictures. Tara was having her hair finished and the Bridesmaids were putting their sarees on Everything was going well. When Mum was ready, she helped Tara put on her Wedding Dress. The garden was the place for a few pictures, giving a lovely backdrop and shade.  With a few portraits of Tara and a the pictures of the Bridesmaids and Family completed it was time for us to leave. Colchester Town Hall was where the Civil Ceremony was taking place. We left extra time for some known road closures and also holiday time traffic! turned out not to be a problem leaving us with sufficient time for Tom’s pictures with his Best Man and Ushers. We also managed a few Guest arrival pictures before they made their way up the stairs to the Moot Hall for the Ceremony.

    Colchester Town Hall Photographer Tara arrived, we used the few minutes for a couple of pictures before she saw the Registrars and went upstairs.  With everybody seated Tara entered the impressive Moot Hall. Colchester Wedding Photographer Town Hall ColchesterAfter the formalities of the Ceremony, Tara and Tom went out of the room, paused on the stairs for a couple of pictures before heading downstairs. Tara and Tom then went outside into the brilliant sunshine and chatted a little while with their Guests, whilst the Chaffeur was opening the Champagne. Everybody then waved them off as they left the Town Hall for the Wedding Reception at Green Island Gardens. The Guests arrived, they made their way into the gardens for the Welcome Drinks and being entertained by a String Quartet. Tara and Tom arrived a while later. Whilst the Bridal Party were organising the confetti with the Guests, we took a few pictures of Tom and Tara. After being covered in confetti by their Guests, they then had time to socialise, whilst we took some informal pictures. We managed to  find a nice area in the shade to do the requested family pictures, followed by Tara and Tom’s pictures around the grounds as the time was racing by!  The Garden games proved to be a hit with the Guests during the rest of the afternoon and provided a few good reaction pictures.  Green Island Gardens Wedding PhotographerBeautiful backdrops and light! Evening Guests then started to arrive and after Tara and Tom spent a little time with them it was time for them all to move to the Marquee for the Wedding Breakfast.  It was at this point Tara and Tom went to get changed into traditional Sri Lankan clothing. They looked stunning! We were able to take a few pictures as they had to make their way over to the Marquee. Before the start of the meal the Father of the Bride made his Speech and after the main course, Tom made his Speech. Essex Wedding PhotographerA beautiful night sky appeared and we were able to capture this before the desserts were served.  Yuandi completed the Speeches later before the cake cutting.  Tara and Tom then took to the Dance Floor for their First Dance. A colourful, rewarding and fabulous day!  Thank you Tara and Tom for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers.

    Trish and Chris came to see us one afternoon before their Wedding at St Margaret’s Church, Downham, followed by a Reception at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon. After having a chat about their Wedding Day and filling in the details we then went out to take a few pictures of them. The time spent with Trish and Chris is enough to put them at ease, find out a bit more about them and be very relaxed! Happy with the outcome and now looking forward to their Wedding Day.
