Hylands House Wedding Photography for Adelle and Danny’s Wedding was well worth waiting for! Hylands House is set in a magnificent park on the outskirts of Chelmsford, Essex, and it it has been too long since our previous visit!. There was an extra special feeling about this Wedding for us considering we have known Adelle for a number of years as she grew up as a friend of our daughter. When we arrived at Hylands House we went upstairs to see Adelle who was in the wonderful Bridal Room, with her Bridesmaids and Mother. Adelle was sipping her Champagne whilst her hair was being finished whilst Gemma, her twin sister, and cousin and Mum were getting ready. David met Danny, his Best Man and Ushers, downstairs for their pictures. Spoilt for choice where to take the pictures we did a few outside and a few inside Hylands House. Time then for them to greet the Guests. Everything was going smoothly upstairs and it wasn’t long before it was time for Gemma to assist Adelle with getting her dress on. Wow! Adelle looked amazing! With the Guests seated in the Drawing Room, Adelle took her Father’s arm and walked down the staircase with the Bridesmaids leading the way. Adelle entered the Drawing room to the sound of the piano, played by her friend Claire (who we also know very well), superb! After saying their vows and the Ceremony completed, they left the Drawing Room and went into the hall where the Reception Drinks were being served. The sun was out, it was getting warmer and warmer and the guests were directed out the back of the House. There was a reason for keeping everyone from going out the front of Hylands House. Adelle and Danny chatted with their Guests until we got the nod that another star of the day was here! Although Adelle and Danny and a couple of close confidants knew Adelle’s horse would be making an appearance, nobody else did! It was so nice to be there to capture the moments when Adelle and Danny and their Guests went outside. Added to this, Adelle and Danny’s dog put in an appearance as well. After all, he was at their pre-wedding shoot! We got on after a few minutes with the requested family pictures followed by some fun Bridal pictures and a few pictures of Adelle and Danny. After a break in the shade, a little later the confetti pictures were taken on the steps to the side of Hylands House before it was time to go into the Banqueting Hall. Time for the Speeches! Brilliant! Great reactions! Afternoon Tea was then served. During this time Spencer Wood went around the tables providing ‘Magical’ entertainment. The guests enjoyed going outside to cool off and socialise before the evening entertainment in the Marquee. Just before the evening Guests arrived we took Adelle and Danny to the formal gardens for a few pictures in the golden evening sun. On our return Adelle and Danny greeted their evening Guests before it was time for their First Dance. A brilliant rehearsed First Dance!The best place to see the sunset was past the far end of the car park so it was a quick car ride! We were back before people had noticed! After capturing some pictures of the evening Guests, we finally put our cameras down and chilled out! So lovely to see so many familiar faces and have catch ups. Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographers for Danielle & Rick

We were Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographers for Danielle and Rick on a hot summer day. First of all Danielle was getting ready at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury. Danielle was there with her family and friends who were staying there, having arrived from Australia for her and Rick’s Wedding Day. Danielle was having her hair done so we got on with taking the accessory pictures, keeping an eye on the preparations as well. The Bridesmaids were doing a grand job sorting everything out as Danielle’s Mum was unfortunately not feeling very well and couldn’t help as much as she wanted. Excitement was building as the time was as always, going quickly. With the hair and make-up finished they all changed into their dresses. The Horse and Carriage arrived which increased the excitement. We had a little time for a few pictures when they were all dressed, including a picture of the girls looking down from the balcony of their room before we had to leave.

Danielle and Rick wanted a Church Wedding which was at the wonderful St Andrews Church, Bulmer. We met Rick there with his Best Man and Ushers and took a few pictures. Guests were arriving so they made their way into Church before the arrival of Danielle. A short time later Danielle arrived. Although the day was warm and bright, it was also windy so we took the minimum of pictures letting Danielle and the rest of the party get into the Church as quickly as possible. After the service Danielle and Rick wanted a few family pictures at the Church before they walked down the avenue of trees while their Guests threw confetti. The happy couple got into the carriage for short journey to Smeetham Hall Barn which was the Venue for the Wedding Reception. After everybody arrived at Smeetham and had a chance to relax during the Drinks Reception we got on with creating some pictures. Taking the Bridal Party away to the Lake for some fun Bridal Party photographs worked well, before they left us with Danielle and Rick for their together pictures. Opportunities for lovely pictures at Smeetham are plentiful, if there is the time and the couple want the pictures! After taking Danielle and Rick’s pictures it was time for the greeting line, before the start of the Wedding Breakfast. Good timing, it then rained for a while! Speeches were during the meal, introduced by Jimmy Lee Entertainment and Danielle and Rick cut their Wedding Cake. During the evening we captured a few pictures of the evening celebrations including the First Dance. From when Danielle booked us for their Wedding, she really wanted a sunset, but as we know this cannot be ordered or guaranteed! Earlier on they, got a rainbow, fingers crossed for a sunset. Danielle and Rick spent the time with us, watching the sun go down, a beautiful sunset! A wonderful end to our day as Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographers.

Wedding Photography The Lawn – Tracy and Ben

It was lovely to be back at the wonderful Wedding Venue, The Lawn for the Wedding of Tracy and Ben. The weather was beautiful and the setting was glorious. Tracy was getting ready in the Bride’s Room in the Manor House together with her Bridesmaids, and Mum. Tracy and the girls were enjoying the moments of the day and it was nice to capture these. Meanwhile, Ben was outside, having arrived and greeting a few Guests. We managed to prise him away for some pictures of him and his Groomsmen before more Guests arrived. Tracy and the girls were now ready. Tracy’s Grandad was giving her away so there were some lovely joyful moments when he first saw her, Tracy looked lovely. Whilst waiting for the Guests to be seated for the Ceremony, the Flowergirls enjoyed watching from above the activities. The Bridesmaids and Flowergirls led the way when all was ready, followed by Tracy accompanied by her Grandad. After the Ceremony Tracy and Ben with their glass of Champagne went outside into the sunshine. The Guests followed and they all socialised for a little while, allowing for us to get some natural shots. During the afternoon we took the requested family pictures and later pictures of Tracy and Ben around the grounds, finishing off with the confetti pictures on the steps. The Wedding Breakfast beckoned, so the Guests took their places leaving Tracy and Ben a few minutes by themselves. Making sure they had chilling out time, just before they went inside a couple of pictures of Tracy swirling her dress. The Orangery looked lovely! In fact the colours Tracy and Ben had chosen for their Wedding was superb. After the meal it was time for the Speeches. Good Speeches, great reactions! Once these were completed everybody went outside to enjoy the evening sunshine. The Flowergirls went off to enjoy the freedom of playing and running about on the lawn as they had done earlier in the afternoon as Tracy and Ben’s evening Guests arrived. After Tracy and Ben had greeted a few of them we took them for a few pictures inside the house upstairs and on the balcony. Tracy threw her bouquet afterwards from the Balcony to the waiting girls below. Great pictures! After cutting their Wedding Cake, Tracy and Ben took to the dance floor for their First Dance, followed by their Guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better sunset, it was brilliant! Tracy and Ben then rejoined their Guess to continue dancing which is when we said ‘goodbye’. A wonderful day and a lovely couple!

Layer Marney Wedding Photography for Teri & Robert

It was a beautiful day for Layer Marney wedding photography for Teri and Robert. Teri was getting ready at her Parents’ house, where our coverage started. With just Teri and her Parents at home it was nice to be able to take our time a little bit more with all the pictures. Everything was going well and once Teri was in her Wedding Dress, we went downstairs and into the lounge for a few bridal portraits.Happy with what we had taken we then left them and went to Layer Marney. We met with Robert and his Groomsmen and walked around to the front of the tower for their pictures. The Bridesmaids and Flowergirls had arrived and were awaiting the arrival of Teri who was being driven by Graham in the Layer Marney car. Robert and his Groomsmen made their way upto the Corsellis Room. Teri arrived and we took a few pictures of her with the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls before the Ceremony. Afterwards Teri and Robert went for a short drive in the Layer Marney car whilst their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception. After a short while the Guests waited on the steps for Teri and Robert as they returned and walked up the path to the Tower. Making sure the happy couple have time to socialise and enjoy the Drinks Reception is always important and this is where we capture a few nice informal pictures of the guests. Taking the requested family pictures happened a little later before we took Teri and Robert for a short walk around Layer Marney, including the barn and lake.Teri & Robert wanted a relaxed wedding that they and their guests could enjoy together with a few ‘professional photographs’ – it is always a pleasure to deliver what is requested!
Teri and Robert chose to have their Speeches before the start of the Wedding Breakfast so they could fully relax and enjoy themselves. This worked well. Afterwards whilst waiting for the band to set up Guests took a stroll around the grounds or stayed and chatted in the Long Gallery. Later after cutting their Wedding Cake and having their First Dance, Teri and Robert were lucky enough to get a lovely sunset. We then left then to enjoy the rest of their evening with their Guests and took our leave. A wonderful day of Layer Marney wedding photography with a lovely couple!

Wedding Photography Prested Hall for Carrie & Daniel

Carrie and Daniel’s wonderful Wedding was held at Prested Hall, Feering, a couple of months ago. Our day started at Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Hotel and Spa in one of the luxury Lodges. Carrie, her Mum and Bridesmaids were getting read in the Crispin Cox Lodge and everything was going well. Carrie’s Wedding Dress and accessories were in the bedroom so we got some pictures of these. Meanwhile, Carrie was having her make-up done and the Bridesmaids were chatting amongst themselves before starting to get ready. With Carrie’s make-up finished and the girls in their Bridesmaid dresses and Mum dressed in her outfit, there was time for Carrie to undo her card and present from Daniel. Some lovely moments! Carrie then helped by her Bridesmaids and Mum got dressed just before her Father arrived. Carrie looked amazing! Capturing the moment her Dad saw Carrie was then followed by taking a few pictures outside on the Balcony of all of them. It was soon time for us to leave to go to Prested Hall. Arriving there we went to find Daniel who was in the final stages of getting ready. There was time to take a few pictures of Daniel, his Groomsmen and Parents outside Prested Hall before they went inside before the girls arrived. Carrie arrived soon after with her Father. As the ground at Prested Hall was very soft (as it was at many other Wedding Venues this weekend) the outside Ceremony which was planned unfortunately had to take place inside. Once the Guests had taken their seats in the Garden Room and Carrie had seen the registrars, it was time for the Ceremony. After this Carrie and Daniel made their way out of Prested Hall so we could take a couple of pictures with the car. Meanwhile, the Guests were getting ready to shower Carrie and Daniel with confetti.As everyone was outside we carried on with some requested family pictures. These pictures were halted a short while later as a shower of rain made an unwelcome appearance! As the Guests socialised inside we took some informal pictures. After the rain shower, the sun came out and we carried on what we had started earlier. Following the fun bridal shots we took Carrie and Daniel for a few minutes over to the Bridge for their pictures. Scruffy, Carrie and Daniel’s dog was waiting for them on our return. Totally loving the moment, Scruffy was so excited! . The Marquee was set up beautifully for the Wedding Breakfast and after Carrie and Daniel were seated the meal began. The Speeches were next and then there was time for people to walk around the grounds, go to their rooms if they wanted, or just sit and chat. The evening light was good so it was at this time we escaped with Carrie and Daniel for some evening pictures, a lovely sky adding to the nice pictures captured. There were cocktails for the start of the evening celebrations which went down a treat! Aurora Pearl had set up the dance floor and the band were soon ready. Carrie and Daniel cut their Wedding Cake before Carrie had a dance with her Father, before the happy couple had their First Dance. For Carrie and Daniel’s sunset pictures, a quick ride in the car was required! We found the best place for the sunset, so we were happy! Sparklers finished our coverage of Carrie and Daniel’s Wedding later.Thank you Carrie and Daniel for letting us be a part of your special day. It was well worth the wait! A lovely couple and a memorable day! Great to work again with David Payne of Rideout Productions, Kerry and Paul of Timeless Acoustics and Aurora Pearl as well as all the staff at Prested Hall.

Wedding Photographs Fennes for Kerry & Asif

Wedding Photographs Fennes for Kerry & Asif was a nice assignment a couple of months ago. Kerry was getting ready in the Bridal Room in Fennes whilst Asif was over in the Cottage. Preparations were going well, we just had our fingers crossed, the rain would stop for Asif’s pictures before the start of the Wedding. Thankfully it did and we were able to take Asif’s pictures together with his Groomsmen outside Fennes once they were ready. They then greeted the Guests downstairs in Fennes, whilst we returned upstairs as the girls were ready. We got on with taking a few pictures of them.

As the Guests made their way into the Pavilion for the ceremony, the girls came downstairs and Kerry met with the Registrars. During the Ceremony, Imani sang a song whilst playing the Guitar. Kerry and Asif left the Pavilion accompanied by their Guests and went outside. The rain had stopped which made everyone much happier! Making the most of the weather we got on with taking the requested family pictures first off. During the Drinks Reception Kerry and Asif spent time with their Guests allowing us to capture some natural pictures. Confetti pictures were taken in the Gold Room just before the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches followed, including one from Thierry.There was time in the early evening for a few pictures with Kerry and Asif around Fennes before the start of the Evening celebrations.. A little while later Kerry and Asif cut their Wedding Cake and had their first dance together as man and wife. For the sunset pictures that evening, the best place for the pictures was a quick ride in our car to get to it! Happy with our coverage of Kerry and Asif’s Wedding we returned them to their Guests and said our goodbyes. Another nice set of Wedding Photographs at Fennes.
