  • Wedding Photography at Leez Priory for Lucy & Adam

It was a beautiful late Autumn Wedding Day for the Wedding Photography at Leez Priory of Lucy and Adam. Our day started at Lucy’s Parents’ home as that was where Lucy was getting ready. We took a few preparation pictures but as space was a little limited we decided to leave the arranged pictures until later.

    St Martins, Little Waltham

The ceremony was at St Martins Church, Little Waltham and what a beautiful setting it was in. The sun was shining, the leaves from the trees had fallen and added to the wonderful colour. Adam was at the Church with his Groomsmen carrying out their duties when we arrived. A short interruption was all that was needed to create their pictures. They then resumed their duties greeting the Guests.

It was not long before it was time for the everyone to take their seats in the Church. The Bridesmaids arrived followed shortly afterwards by Lucy and and her Father. A lovely arrival in an old police car!

After the ceremony everyone went outside and we got on with the requested pictures. This was also our opportunity to quickly catch up with the pictures we had missed at Lucy’s parents house.

The Guests lined the path leading out of the Church and as Lucy and Adam walked down they threw confetti over them, before waving them off.

Arriving at Leez Priory Lucy, Adam and their Guests enjoyed the Reception Drinks. The Police car was very important at Lucy and Adam’s Wedding as Adam, his Father and Grandfather have been or are Policeman. The car made for some nice pictures. A few pictures of Lucy and Adam in front of Leez Priory were taken as well.

The picture of everybody happened a little later just before sunset. Lucy and Adam greeted their Guests in the Receiving Line before they sat down for the Wedding Breakfast in the Coach House. The Speeches followed, there were a few!

  • Wedding Photography at Channels for Kimberley & Ben

Kimberley and Ben asked us to carry out their Wedding Photography at Channels for their November Wedding .

    Channels wedding venue

Arriving at Channels we went to see Kimberley, her Mum, Bridesmaids and Flowergirls who were getting ready at Channels. They started their preparations in one of the rooms before transferring to a couple of other rooms across in Channels Lodge.

    The Preparations

    Bride preparing at Channels

This was a good idea as there was definitely more space to get ready. Kimberley got ready in one room after we had photographed her Wedding Dress and Accessories. Meanwhile Ben was in the Essex Barn with his Best Man, Ushers, and his nephew, Ronnie, who was the Pageboy! Ronnie was dressed as a ‘Mini Ben”! He looked so smart! It was dry outside so all the guy’s pictures were taken outside the Barn. After that they all talked to the Guests as they were arriving.

Kimberley’s Mum, Debbie, helped Kimberley get ready. Once Kimberley was dressed the Bridesmaids joined her. Dad, Colin, came into the room a few minutes later. Very emotional moments especially as David and I know the family as well. After drying our eyes we got on with taking some Bridal pictures of Kimberley and some family pictures. We then went downstairs and waited for Kimberley. As a surprise a car was going to take her around to the Barn. This was extremely good as the weather had turned and the rain had started. Fortunately after seeing the Registrar, the rain had stopped and Kimberley made her way across the Courtyard and into the Barn.

Following the Ceremony as the weather was ok we all went outside for a few pictures. After the everybody picture, Kimberley and Ben were showered in confetti before we got on with a few requested family pictures.

    Winter wedding group pictures

The group pictures were mostly finished before the rain began to fall and then it became windy. During the Drinks Reception we found an area for the remaining pictures to be taken. Watching the weather there was a gap so we quickly took Kimberley and Ben for their pictures outside. We did take the umbrellas though! That was a good idea, before long the rain started again but we took some lovely pictures with the umbrellas and without!

    Wet wedding at Channels

We captured some informal pictures during the afternoon as well. Kimberley and Ben opted for wedding photography coverage up until the Wedding Breakfast. After a cake picture and pictures of them seated at the Wedding Breakfast we said our goodbyes having completed another day of wedding Photography at Channels. Kimberley and Ben, you are a lovely couple. We wish you all the best.

  • Hintlesham Hall Wedding Photography for Jemma & Ben

Hintlesham Hall Wedding Photography is always great and we were delighted that Jemma and Ben booked us for their autumn Wedding. It was a beautiful November day. We arrived quite early in the morning at Hintlesham Hall so we could take some images of the preparations going on.

Jemma and her sister, Olivia, were enjoying the time getting ready upstairs. With lots to photograph we got on with our job whilst Jemma and Olivia continued their preparations. Once the pictures of Jemma’s Dress and accessories were taken Olivia put her Bridesmaid Dress on and then assisted Jemma.

Meanwhile, Ben was downstairs in Hintlesham Hall with his Best Man and Ushers. After the Groomsmen had their pictures taken outside, they greeted the Guests as they arrived.

Jemma was almost ready when she was joined by her Mother and Father upstairs. Good timing! Jemma looked elegant in her dress, after a few Bridal pictures we got on with taking a few family pictures in the room. It was then time for Jemma to make her way to the Ceremony. On the way Jemma paused on the staircase for a few extra pictures.

    The Wedding Ceremony

With everybody seated for the Ceremony, the doors opened and Jemma holding her Father’s arm walked up the aisle. After the Ceremony, Reception Drinks were served inside and everyone socialised for a little while. As it was  such a lovely afternoon we were able to take all the requested family group pictures outside.

We then took Jemma and Ben for a short walk around the grounds. Hintlesham Hall is a lovely setting and has many opportunities for pictures with wonderful backdrops. Autumn colours enhanced the setting and we were eager to take advantage of it. Jemma and Ben’s together pictures were lovely.

  • Mulberry House Wedding Photography for Lauren & Bodj (aka Jordan)

Mulberry House Wedding Photography for Lauren & Bodj (aka Jordan)

David and I were really looking forward to the Mulberry House Wedding Photography for  Lauren & Bodj’s Wedding. We have known Bodj for many years as he is a very good friend of our son’s. We have known Lauren for a while as well!

We arrived at  Mulberry House as it started raining. The weather forecast for the day was not brilliant but as usual we had our plans ready! Mulberry House Wedding PhotographerLauren was getting ready in the House with all the girls, so off we went off to see them. They were all relaxed, enjoying the preparations. We captured the details, preparations, fun and laughter.

We photographed Lauren’s Wedding Dress and shoes in the bedroom next door as  there was more space. We knew that we would be using this room at other times also!

    The Groomsmen

David was waiting for Bodj and his Groomsmen to arrive and when they were ready took their pictures. It was raining but not hard enough to stop David from being outside. The men stayed in the porch and on the steps, just in the dry! Pictures finished, Bodj and his Groomsmen went inside greet the Guests.

The girls were now ready for their pictures so we got on with those and had time to take some lovely Bridal portraits of the beautiful Lauren!Wedding Photographer Mulberry House Ongar

    The Wedding Ceremony

Once the Wedding Guests made their way over to the Ceremony Room and took their seats, Lauren came downstairs where her Dad was waiting. A proud Father moment!

Justin and Nathan the Ushers escorted the Bridesmaids over to the Ceremony room holding umbrellas! Heather the Co-ordinator helped Lauren walk the short distance to the room making sure she didn’t get wet.

Lauren was escorted up the aisle by her Mum and Dad. Some lovely moments during the Ceremony, great to capture. Mulberry House wedding ceremonyFollowing the Ceremony, everyone went back over to Mulberry House. We took some nice pictures as they came out, umbrellas as well! wet weather wedding photographs Mulberry House The Reception Drinks were in the Conservatory so everyone socialised there. After a little while we started taking the requested family pictures. With a bit of temporary furniture removal we had enough space. We even managed to do a couple of big group pictures. Mulberry House indoor group photosUnfortunately outside pictures were totally out of the question today but we found many places inside Mulberry House to take Lauren and Bodj’s ‘together’ pictures.Mulberry House wet wedding photography Before the Wedding Breakfast it was time for the Speeches.

Good Speeches and great reactions.  After the meal there was a short time for us to take Lauren and Bodj for a few extra pictures. Although the rain had not completely stopped but we all went outside anyway.  It was worth it, making Lauren & Bodj some lovely pictures.Mulberry House Wedding Photography

    The Evening Reception

Before the cake cutting Lauren & Bodj had time with the evening Guests.

The happy couple then took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Everyone else joined them  shortly afterwards. Sometime later after we had captured a flavour of the evening, taken a night shot it was time to go. Mulberry House evening wedding photos Lauren and Bodj’s Wedding Day was wonderful! A fantastic couple, easy going and a real pleasure to work with. Thank you so much Lauren and Bodj! Congratulations!

Outdoor Family Photos for Kirsty & Matt

It was lovely to see Kirsty, Matt and their son Brodie for some Outdoor Family Photos.

This was an early autumn morning at Highwoods Country Park, Colchester. We all thought this was a good place to meet especially with Brodie being so active there is the play area as well as a variety of walks.

Timing was good, Brodie had the play area to himself! After a short while we decided to go for a walk. Chatting and laughing as we went we ended up with some lovely pictures.

Kirsty and Matt wanted an acrylic block print  to go up in their new home and the product looked fantastic!  An enjoyable time was had with this lovely family.
