It was lovely to see Louise and Daniel again. We were their Wedding Photographers a few years ago.
They got in touch with us in March last year to arrange some pictures of their son, Oakley. Louise and Daniel also wanted some pictures of them as a family including their dog! We went to their home and started off with some pictures there. Next, off we went to the the local park for something different.
Leez Priory Wedding Photography for Nicola & Gary. The Wedding was held at Leez Priory, Chelmsford in March 2019. It was a beautiful day, cool, bright but windy.
Nicola was getting ready with her Bridesmaids when we arrived. Off we went to see her.
Nicola and the girls were having a lovely time with plenty of laughter about. Gary was in the cottage getting ready with his Groomsmen and equally having a great time with their preparations.
After reading his card from Nicola and once Gary was suited and booted, his pictures as well as pictures with him and the Groomsmen were taken outside the house.
Nicola had read her card from Gary and was soon getting dressed assisted by her Mother and the Bridesmaids were nearly ready.
Guests were arriving and they socialised in the Bar area. Soon it was time for all the Guests to make their way to the Great Hall and take their seats. Upstairs we were getting on with Nicola’s Pictures. Nicola looked amazing!
The Proud Father
Nicola’s Father was downstairs and looked totally proud and extremely happy to be Father of the Bride! As the Guests were all seated in the Great Hall it was soon time for the Ceremony. Following the Ceremony, the Drinks Reception was held inside Leez Priory, although dry it was quite cold outside.
The Formal Pictures
Later everybody assembled outside for a group picture before returning inside for the remainder of the pictures. Using the Light Oak Room as a backdrop for some of the family pictures was fine.
Taking a break afterwards allowed us some time for cathcing up with taking some informal pictures around. Before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast we whisked Nicola and Gary off for a short while for their pictures around the grounds. We kept the time short as possible as it was rather cold and windy. I could not believe what a stunning job Nicola’s friend, who is a hairdresser, achieved. Nicola’s hair looked wonderful early on and remained so for the remainder of the afternoon, despite the strength of the wind!
The Wedding Portraits
The Evening Celebrations
With a variety of pictures taken in a short space of time we returned to the House. It wasn’t very long before the Guests made their way up from the House to the Coach House followed by Nicola and Gary, for the Wedding Breakfast. A Singer entertained them until the meal was over and the Speeches began. After these, everyone returned to the House for the evening celebrations. A band was part of the evening and they had set up in the Carriageway.
Nicola and Gary had a few night shots taken before the next event. The cake cutting took place later followed by Nicola and Gary’s First Dance. Some time later everybody went outside for Fireworks. A lovely ending to the day for us. Time for us to leave. Thank you Nicola and Gary for asking us to photograph your wonderful Leez Priory Wedding Wedding, it was a pleasure working with such a lovely couple!
David and I are looking forward to attending Fennes Open Day tomorrow from 11am-3pm. This wonderful Wedding Venue is definitely worth coming to view and meet with some of Fennes Recommended Suppliers.
It was nice to see Nick, Deborah, Edward and Jessica again when they requested some Family Group Portraits. We have taken various pictures of them and other family members over the last few years. This time was at Nick’s parents’ house where Nick was with his family and his sister was with hers, together with their Parents.
On the morning spending time with the children and not being rushed was the key to getting the Family Group Portraits. We had time to catch up as well!
Pictures achieved, time for them all to go out for Sunday Lunch!
We were pleased when Chelsey Jay got in touch with us last year enquiring about taking some pictures of her. Chelsey wanted pictures for her profile, advertising, brochures etc, for her Election campaign. Chelsey was standing as an Independent and hoping to be elected as a Councillor for Witham. David and I were delighted when she achieved this! Chelsey now represents Witham South Ward. We had a nice relaxed time talking about various subjects and at the same time producing some nice images of Chelsey.
Fennes Wedding Photography for Lauren & Matt. It was a beautiful bright sunny day although it was windy.
After arriving at Fennes we went upstairs in the House to see Lauren. Preparations were going well with lots going on.
David went off to find Matt and the Groomsmen who were getting ready here as well. After a few final preparation pictures the boys were ready for some pictures. Outside they went, making the most of a dry day and the different places Fennes has to offer for pictures.
The Wedding Guests were arriving so Matt and the Groomsmen greeted them. Upstairs in the Bridal Room the Bridesmaids were ready to change into their Dresses. Lauren’s turn for final preparations!
The Flowergirls came and had a look at Lauren in her Wedding Dress as soon as she was ready . She looked lovely, her Father came into the room to see her before we got on with taking some Bridal pictures.
Matt had seen the Registrar so the Guests took their seats in the Pavilion for the Ceremony. Lauren saw the Registrar afterwards and then it was time for Lauren to make her way to the Ceremony. The Bridesmaids and Flowergirls went before Lauren into the Pavilion.
Fennes Wedding Ceremony
Following the Ceremony everyone went outside for a group picture before going back inside for the Drinks Reception. Once Lauren and Matt had spent some time socialising with their Guess we continued with the pictures. It was too windy to stay outside for long so we made the most of all the rooms inside at Fennes.
Windy Wedding
Keeping the guests inside was best and no problem at all. During the afternoon we took Lauren and Matt for a stroll around the gardens including going on the Bridge. The Daffodils made a lovely backdrop to Lauren and Matt’s together pictures.
Just before the Wedding Breakfast the Guests threw confetti over the couple in the Gold Room.
The Wedding Breakfast
During the meal everyone was entertained by a Singer. A nice sunset and we managed to take a couple of pictures of this in between the courses of the meal. The Speeches followed, these were very good.
The Evening Party
The Evening Guests arrived a little later and the evening celebrations began. There was a little time for us to take Lauren and Matt for a few evening pictures around Fennes. The bouquet toss and cake cutting followed soon after and then the First Dance.
Once we had a selection of pictures of the evening Guests we then said our goodbyes. It was wonderful Fennes Wedding Photography for Lauren & Matt. Two lovely people.

We met Nicola and Gary early one morning ahead of their upcoming Leez Priory wedding, for their Pre-Wedding pictures. Danbury Lakes, Chelmsford, was the location. The weather was good and as we know there is plenty of opportunity for some nice pictures in a lovely setting. It was an enjoyable time, very relaxed, which is how we like it to be. They ended up with some nice pictures and us looking forward to photographing their wedding.
It was a beautiful day for the Parklands wedding photography for Natasha and Shane’s winter Wedding. When we arrived the sun was shining and the deer were out in the park.
Preparations
First of all we went off to see Tash who was getting ready upstairs in Quendon Hall. Make up and hair preparations were taking place and were going well. Keeping an eye on the preparations we got on with taking pictures of the dresses, shoes etc. Shane and his Groomsmen were getting ready in one of the rooms so David went along to see how they were progressing.
After a little while they were ready for some pictures. Shane and his Groomsmen had a few pictures taken outside before they greeted the Wedding Guests as they arrived. The girls were getting dressed and it wasn’t long before they were ready. The Pageboys, Owen, Samuel and Logan came into see Tash when she was ready, she looked lovely. Some nice pictures of them as they saw her. Before Tash, her Mother and Father, and the Bridesmaids went downstairs we took a few pictures of them all.
Ceremony
Natasha and Shane wanted to have the Ceremony in the Marquee and with the Flower Arch, which looked lovely. The Pageboys led the way into the Marquee before Tash followed escorted by her Dad. After the Ceremony Tash and Shane went outside, followed by their Guests. Drinks were served and everyone mingled for a little while. All the requested family pictures were taken around the area of the fountain as this was where the Drinks Reception was.
Tash and Shane had time to mingle some more with their Guests during the afternoon before we took them for a short walk around the grounds for their pictures. Nice weather and lovely pictures.
After seeing the room layout and decorations for their Wedding Breakfast, the Guests then took their places for the meal. The Speeches followed, some good reactions captured!
A couple of evening pictures of Tash and Shane were taken afterwards. The Evening Guests arrived and Tash and Shane cut their Wedding Cake before taking to the dance floor for their First Dance.
Once we had taken a few pictures of the evening celebrations it was time for us to depart. Nice to part of Natasha and Shane’s lovely Parklands wedding photography Day!
Jodie got in touch with us earlier in the year about taking a picture of her Mum’s horse Cobra who was 38 years old! It was to be a surprise present for her Mum! Arrangements were made when there was not a chance that Jodie’s Mum would appear at the stables. Job accomplished!
