It was nice to receive a call from Hardeep last summer asking to take some surprise Engagement pictures! Hardeep was planning to ‘pop the question’ to his girlfriend, one summer’s evening at Prested Hall. We were available and arrangements were made. Fingers were crossed on the August evening that Hardeep and Navina were not held up in the traffic coming to Prested Hall. All was ok. Hardeep and Navina had dinner served to them, whilst we kept out the way! The staff at Prested Hall had arranged tea lights to arranged in the shape of a heart under the Gazebo. You could not see them from the house. As it got dark these were lit. We just had to wait now!
Before long Hardeep and Navina came out of Prested Hall and walked towards the Gazebo! Using the bushes as a cover we waited until Hardeep popped the question and Navina said ‘yes’ before we came clean! Having captured the moment and the reactions we congratulated them and had a quick chat. We then took a few pictures of Hardeep and Narvina once everything was calmer! What a lovely idea this was and we were pleased we were there.
In the summer last year we provided Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography for Sarah and Ben. It was a lovely warm day when we arrived at Wivenhoe House. We went up to see Sarah, who was getting ready with her daughter, Mia, and her Bridesmaids. All the girls were relaxed and enjoying the time they had in the beautiful room they were getting ready in, before it was time to get dressed. Finishing touches were being applied whilst we got on with taking a few pictures of Sarah’s Wedding Dress and Accessories.
It was nice seeing Sam being Sarah’s Matron of Honour. A few years ago, Sarah was Bridesmaid at Sam’s Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, in 2015. David went off to find Ben who was with his son, Jacob and his Best Man, Liam. Their pictures were taken outside in the grounds. Guests were starting to arrive and enjoyed socialising in the sunshine. Meanwhile Sarah and the girls were getting dressed and Mum and Dad joined us once everyone was ready. We got on with taking some pictures, then it was time for to go outside for the Ceremony.
Outdoor Ceremony
As we got downstairs, the clouds had gathered and suddenly spots of rain appeared! Thankfully as Sarah taking her Father’s Arm walked towards the Gazebo, by the time she reached it no spots! The sun reappeared and all was well! Phew! The Gazebo looked wonderful and the colour scheme chosen by Sarah and Ben looked lovely.
Drinks and Pictures
After the Ceremony the Drinks Reception took place. When we took the requested family pictures, it was so nice to have the space to do these not far from everyone. Garden games kept everyone entertained, especially the children, during the afternoon. We took Sarah and Ben for a short walk to the lake for their pictures later.
On our return the Guests threw confetti over Sarah and Ben before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Sarah and Ben chose to have a BBQ and this went down very well with everyone. The Speeches were after the meal. The evening light was wonderful so after the Speeches we took Sarah and Ben for a few minutes around Wivenhoe House for a few pictures. Sarah and Ben cut their Wedding Cake a little later followed by their First Dance. We captured a flavour of the evening with some informal pictures before Sarah and Ben’s sunset pictures. Thank you Sarah and Ben for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers. It was a wonderful day of Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography! Nice to catch up with Craig as well as Sam at the Wedding.
Stock Street Farm Barn Wedding Photography for Kerri-Anne and Wayn. Their Wedding Day started at St Albrights Church, Stanway. We started our coverage of their Wedding at the Church meeting Wayne and his Best Man there. They were busy greeting Guests as they arrived so we captured a few of these pictures.
Finding a gap we took a couple of pictures of Wayne. The weather was holding up, it was a windy bright day, we were just hoping the storm clouds would not come our way! It was soon time for Wayne and the Wedding Guests to go into the Church as Kerri-Anne arrived. Her Father’s American Pick Up Truck was the mode of transport for her arrival. There was a little time to take a few pictures of Kerri-Anne and her Bridesmaids before they entered the Church.
After the Church Service, Kerri-Anne and Wayne exited the Church followed by the Guests. They showered them with confetti on the pathway before we got on with taking a few requested family pictures. After Kerri-Anne and Wayne talked for a short time with their Guests we all made our way to Stock Street Barn.
Stock Street Farm Barn Reception
Once there everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception. There were garden games for everyone to play and these kept them all entertained. Some nice informal pictures were taken during the afternoon in the sunshine. Whilst this was going on we managed to take Kerri-Anne and Wayne for a short walk around to take a few pictures of them.
A BBQ was held for everyone in the Barn shortly after. After the meal, it was time for a couple of Speeches. Once these were completed, the dancing started, around the tables, making for some nice pictures.
Fun and Games!
Afterwards, before the evening celebrations started, Michael, the Owner of Stock Street Farm Barn invited those into the field, who wanted to have some extra fun. Children and Adults participating in Sack races, very funny! When they changed to the Space Hoppers, that was even funnier! Trying to take pictures with a camera in our hands in between our bouts of laughter was hard! With these finished Kerri-Anne and Wayne went back into the Barn and cut their Wedding Cake before their First Dance. The Rock and Roll Band was set up and the evening was in full swing. Our last picture of Kerri-Anne and Wayne’s Wedding Day was as the sun was setting.
Phillippa, the Owner of Yaxley Hair and Beauty in Witham got in touch with for some Hairstyling Photography. Phillippa and her team were looking forward to continuing their way through the British Hairdressing Awards 2019 and wanted some pictures. We have done something similar in the past, so we were definitely up for it.
Portable Studio
Our equipment is portable so we were quite happy to set up our studio in the upstairs of the Salon. As the girls completed their different hairstyles, they came upstairs and we took a variety of pictures. The hairstyles were fantastic and Phillippa ended up with some great images.
We are pleased to say Phillippa and Hope got through to the finals with a little help from our Hairstyling Photography.
Fenia got in touch with us in the summer last year regarding taking some Family Portraits. These were to be of her son and other members of the family. One morning we went to their home and achieved some nice Family Portraits for them.
The next job in the summer last year was Fennes Wedding Photography for Dana & Trevor. A glorious sunny day made Fennes looked beautiful.
The Girls
We arrived at Fennes and went to the Bridal Suite. It was pretty lively as you can imagine with lots of preparations going on. David and I kept ourselves busy with photographing Dana’s Wedding Dress and Accessories, always with an eye open as to the happenings.
The Men
During this time Trevor and his Groomsmen and the Pageboys arrived. Once they had gone to their rooms and settled in David went over to take some pictures of their preparations. It wasn’t long before they were dressed and ready to do some pictures. These didn’t take very long so they were able to meet the Wedding Guests. Relaxed moments captured as Guests sat around at the tables or wandered around the grounds. Upstairs in the House, all preparations were coming together.
The girls were dressed and Dana was almost dressed being helped by Chanelle, her daughter. Barry, Dana’s Brother, who was giving her away, couldn’t resist coming upstairs and seeing Dana. Special moments. The two Pageboys had a sneak preview as well! We got with taking a few pictures of Dana with her Bridesmaids and a few Bridal Portraits before going downstairs.
The Wedding Ceremony
It was to be an outdoor Ceremony so everyone set up in the Gold Room. The Pageboys were the Ring Bearers as well and when the doors opened they were the leaders to the Gazebo for the Ceremony to take place.
When the Ceremony was finished Dana and Trevor walked down the aisle and when they reached the end they had a little dance! Some lovely reactions and pictures! After taking the ‘everybody’ shot we moved to under the trees where it was shaded forthe requested family pictures. Once these were finished everyone socialised during the Drinks Reception with the Harpist entertaining them. We had fun later with the relaxed Bridal party pictures. We took Dana and Trevor for a short walk around Fennes during the afternoon before the confetti pictures.
Dana and Trevor greeted their Guests before the Wedding Breakfast began.
After the meal and Speeches everyone made the most of the evening sunshine by being in the grounds.
The Evening Celebrations
This was the time when Dana and Trevor had a few extra pictures taken around Fennes. Dana then changed her dress just before the start of the evening celebrations. After cutting their Wedding Cake, it was First Dance time. Great dance moves from this Bride and Groom!
Finishing our Fennes Wedding Photography of Dana and Trevor’s big day was a sunset picture. A beautiful ending for a lovely couple!
Richard got in touch with us last summer enquiring about taking some home portraits of his two children. Ideally the pictures would be taken in their wonderful garden if the weather was fine. Unfortunately, the morning we arranged the heavens opened! No problem, we just set up our lights and used the superb interior of the home for the pictures. This worked really well and we were able to provide Richard with a variety of indoor pictures. We were drawn to the garden because there was such opportunity of some nice pictures to be taken.
There didn’t seem much hope of us getting out there but we kept peering out the windows just for that break. It came! The rain had not stopped but it had eased off enough for us and and to venture out! Brollies handy, and using the cover of the house at times, props in the garden, we managed to get another set of pictures. So pleased!
To get this message from Richard certainly made us happy as well.
Just to say that Jill and I are really pleased with the photos – many thanks for braving the rain and making it work so well!
It was so nice to see Nick and Cara again in the Spring last year especially as we could meet their son, Havey, for the first time and create them some Baby and Family Portraiture.
We had heard all about Havey so it was lovely to finally see him. Nick and Cara live in Australia so we me up with them whilst they were visiting family and friends in the UK. From the moment we first set eyes on Havey, he just smiled! So easy to take pictures of and he was happy to oblige!
Wedding Photography at Crondon Park for Dawn & Cam’s summer wedding
Wedding Preparations
Before we arrived at Crondon Park, our first port of call was at the home of Dawn and Cam. This was where Dawn was getting ready for her Wedding with her Bridesmaids and friends. Preparations were going very well. All the girls were relaxed, enjoying themselves and in the middle of very many preparations. Plenty of details and accessories to photograph so we got on with taking those pictures.
Once the girls had their hair and make up nearly finished we took a couple of pictures of them in their Dressing Gowns. The Bridesmaids then went upstairs to get their dresses on and Dawn followed a bit later.
It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and we had a nice garden to take the photographs in when everyone was ready. Dawn had some pictures taken of her as well as a few with her Bridesmaids. The car had arrived just after we had finished taking the pictures so just before we took the a couple of car photos too.
Crondon Park
Arriving at Crondon Park we met up with Cam who was with his Sons and got on with their pictures.
As the Guests started to arrive we took some informal pictures. Dawn and her Bridesmaids soon arrived at Crondon Park where they went into the Bridal Suite in the Cottage away from everyone. Dawn’s Father was waiting for her there and we had some time to take a few pictures with the two of them. Meanwhile the Guests were making their way through to the Ceremony Room to take their seats. When it was time Dawn and the Bridesmaids walked over to the Barn and through the Baronial Hall to the Ceremony Room. The Bridesmaids entered the room, followed by Dawn who took her Father’s arm as they came into the room.
After The Ceremony
After the Ceremony everyone went outside for the Reception Drinks. Dawn and Cam talked to their Guests for a little while. The requested family pictures were taken in the grounds as well as the ‘everybody’ shot and confetti pictures.
During the afternoon there was time for Dawn and Cam to socialise before we took them for a few pictures over by the lake. It was so sunny! Moving around we took a few more ‘together’ pictures before returning to their Guests.
The Speeches
The Wedding Breakfast was in the Baronial Hall and afterwards it was time for the Speeches.
Once these were completed and to allow the room to be set up for the evening celebrations everyone stepped outside. The Evening Guests joined them. Capturing informal pictures individual and of small groups took place for a little while. Before long the Room was ready and Guests followed Dawn and Cam inside. Dawn and Cam cut their Wedding Cake before taking to the dance floor for their First Dance.
The First Dance and Sunset
There was a sunset after a glorious day so that was an opportunity not to be missed. That worked well because after that Dawn and Cam disappeared for a very short time so that Dawn could change out of her Wedding Dress into another dress! Dawn and Cam are excellent dancers! As a surprise to the Wedding Guests Dawn and Cam then took to the dance floor again for a choreographed dance. It was superb!
A lovely way to end our Wedding Photography at Crondon Park for Dawn & Cam.
Springtime Outdoor Family Portraits for Debbie, Brian and their family.
We were the Wedding Photographers for Rob and Nicola’s Wedding at Prested Hall, Feering. We have also know the family for a number of years. Some updated family pictures were required, which happens with most families as they become extended. Earlier in the morning it looked like the rain was not going away but at the time of meeting up it had stopped. It was just as well as Debbie and Brian wanted the pictures outside!
We went for a short walk, finding the area where we knew would be suitable for the pictures. Debbie and Brian ended up with a great variety of family pictures which they were pleased with and so were we.
The classic family “all walk together” picture worked once again! Another good set of Outdoor Family Portraits.
