Hylands Testimonial – We were delighted to receive this ‘Thank You’ from Adelle and Danny whose Wedding we photographed in the Summer at the stunning Wedding Venue Hylands House.
“Thank you for the amazing photos”.
Something we would like to do more of is Corporate Portraits and head shots. This session was for Paul Wearmouth who is a Motivational Speaker and Coach. We did a range of looks and backgrounds during the session both our suggestions and working with Paul’s ideas also. My favourites were the more moody black and white versions. These were taken in our small studio however, we are just as happy to create Corporate head shots or Corporate Portraits at clients premises. Professional people need a Professional Corporate Portrait created for a business profile rather than a quick camera phone snap!
It was a day of changeable weather for when we went for Fennes Wedding Photographs for Louisa and David. Just after we arrived at the lovely Fennes, Louisa and the girls arrived with the Flowergirls. Giving them time to settle in we went off and took a few pictures of general details around Fennes. Returning to the girls little later, everything was going well, whilst David with his Groomsmen and boys were getting ready in the Bridal Cottage. The girls with their hair already finished then proceeded to get dressed. The men and boys were ready for some pictures first, so we got on with taking theirs. Leaving them to talk to the Guests, it was now time to turn all our attention to Louisa and the girls. After a few pictures, we had enough time to take a few bridal portraits of Louisa, before it was time for them all to go downstairs. The sudden shower of rain put paid to the outside Ceremony which the Fennes Staff had to quickly rearrange indoors. Clark, Louisa and David’s son, was giving Louisa away and did a grand job of escorting her down the aisle. Following the Ceremony, the rain had stopped and it brightened up so we were able to take the requested family pictures outside. It was a good job we did them then because as we finished the big group picture it started to rain again! We captured some informal pictures of the Drinks Receptions inside and took Louisa and David into the Library for a few pictures of the two of them.
It was one of those days where the sun then came out again so we managed a couple of outdoor pictures also. Just before the Wedding Breakfast everyone showered confetti over Louisa and David. Following the Wedding Breakfast, it was time for the Speeches. After David’s Speech, Clark said more than a few words which he delivered very well indeed, emotions were running high! It turned out to be a lovely evening weather wise, garden games were available for those that wanted to play them, whilst others walked around the nice grounds of Fennes. Louisa and David had a couple of pictures taken on the bridge before a couple of pictures with all their children, Millie, Taylor, Samuel and Clark.
The cake cutting and First Dance took place in the Pavilion. Finishing our coverage of Louisa and David’s Wedding Day we took a couple of night shots, as well as the’heart’shot. A wonderful set of Fennes Wedding Photographs for Louisa and David and a wonderful day.
During our very busy time photographing Weddings in the summer, it’s nice to ring the changes! One morning in July this year, we went to see Sam and Paul and their family again to take some Family Portraits of the children and update their family pictures . We took a few pictures of Millie and Harry indoors but as it was such a lovely morning outside beckoned! Millie and Harry were stars! An enjoyable time was had and some nice relaxed Family Portraits were created!
It was an early start for us for the wedding photography for Debbie and Gbenga. Debbie, her Mother and Bridesmaids were getting ready not at the family farm but at The Mill Hotel in Sudbury. Meeting with the girls in the room all the preparations were going well. Timings were spot on, we were able to take some getting ready pictures as well as a few of Debbie when she was dressed.
Leaving them we then went to meet with Gbenga and his Groomsmen. They were getting ready close to Debbie’s family home so we stopped off to see them. We had a little time with them to capture a few preparation pictures. For their portraits we found a shaded spot behind the cottage in the shelter of the trees as it was now a very hot day. Leaving them we then went the short distance to Debbie’s family home. Waiting for us there were the two Flowergirls with their Mummies. Debbie wanted a couple of family pictures there before going to the Church. It worked well, wethen left them and made our way to St Nicholas Church, Castle Hedingham. At Church we captured a few pictures of the guests as they arrived. Debbie arrived with her Father shortly afterwards and walked down the path and into the Church.
After the service, using the shelter of the trees from the sun, we got on with taking the requested family group pictures. This worked well and it wasn’t many minutes before we were able to leave for the Reception. The Marquee was set up in the grounds of Debbie’s Parents Farm so we quickly took a few pictures of the details before we took some informal pictures of the Guests who were enjoying the Drinks Reception. Debbie and Gbenga arrived a little later, making for some great pictures as they entered the farm.
Debbie and Gbenga then enjoyed some social time with their Guests before some fun bridal party shots. We took Debbie and Gbenga’s pre-wedding pictures at the Farm earlier in the summer so knew the opportunities for their ‘together’ pictures. We were looking forward to take these. Although still rather hot we took a few pictures of them around but decided to take some more later on. When everybody was seated for the Wedding Breakfast, one person who was designated from each table, put on an apron and took on the job of carving the joint of beef for their party. After the meal the Speeches followed. It was a beautiful evening and more pictures beckoned! Debbie and Gbenga were more than happy to have a few pictures around the lake and then go into the cornfield. Wonderful!
After Debbie and Gbenga’s First Dance a little later we then said our ‘goodbyes’. A most rewarding day of wedding photography.
We were delighted to receive this Wedding Testimonial from Teri and Robert after photographing their wedding at Layer Marney Tower, Essex earlier in the summer:-

Hylands House Wedding Photography for Adelle and Danny’s Wedding was well worth waiting for! Hylands House is set in a magnificent park on the outskirts of Chelmsford, Essex, and it it has been too long since our previous visit!. There was an extra special feeling about this Wedding for us considering we have known Adelle for a number of years as she grew up as a friend of our daughter. When we arrived at Hylands House we went upstairs to see Adelle who was in the wonderful Bridal Room, with her Bridesmaids and Mother. Adelle was sipping her Champagne whilst her hair was being finished whilst Gemma, her twin sister, and cousin and Mum were getting ready. David met Danny, his Best Man and Ushers, downstairs for their pictures. Spoilt for choice where to take the pictures we did a few outside and a few inside Hylands House.
Time then for them to greet the Guests. Everything was going smoothly upstairs and it wasn’t long before it was time for Gemma to assist Adelle with getting her dress on. Wow! Adelle looked amazing!
With the Guests seated in the Drawing Room, Adelle took her Father’s arm and walked down the staircase with the Bridesmaids leading the way. Adelle entered the Drawing room to the sound of the piano, played by her friend Claire (who we also know very well), superb! After saying their vows and the Ceremony completed, they left the Drawing Room and went into the hall where the Reception Drinks were being served. The sun was out, it was getting warmer and warmer and the guests were directed out the back of the House. There was a reason for keeping everyone from going out the front of Hylands House. Adelle and Danny chatted with their Guests until we got the nod that another star of the day was here!
Although Adelle and Danny and a couple of close confidants knew Adelle’s horse would be making an appearance, nobody else did! It was so nice to be there to capture the moments when Adelle and Danny and their Guests went outside. Added to this, Adelle and Danny’s dog put in an appearance as well. After all, he was at their pre-wedding shoot!
We got on after a few minutes with the requested family pictures followed by some fun Bridal pictures and a few pictures of Adelle and Danny. After a break in the shade, a little later the confetti pictures were taken on the steps to the side of Hylands House before it was time to go into the Banqueting Hall. Time for the Speeches! Brilliant! Great reactions! Afternoon Tea was then served. During this time Spencer Wood went around the tables providing ‘Magical’ entertainment. The guests enjoyed going outside to cool off and socialise before the evening entertainment in the Marquee. Just before the evening Guests arrived we took Adelle and Danny to the formal gardens for a few pictures in the golden evening sun. On our return Adelle and Danny greeted their evening Guests before it was time for their First Dance. A brilliant rehearsed First Dance!
The best place to see the sunset was past the far end of the car park so it was a quick car ride! We were back before people had noticed! After capturing some pictures of the evening Guests, we finally put our cameras down and chilled out! So lovely to see so many familiar faces and have catch ups. Thank you Adelle and Danny for asking us to provide your Wedding Photography, it was a pleasure and a privilege. A fabulous Wedding Day of Hylands House Wedding Photography for a wonderful couple!
It was lovely to be back at the wonderful Wedding Venue, The Lawn for the Wedding of Tracy and Ben. The weather was beautiful and the setting was glorious. Tracy was getting ready in the Bride’s Room in the Manor House together with her Bridesmaids, and Mum. Tracy and the girls were enjoying the moments of the day and it was nice to capture these. Meanwhile, Ben was outside, having arrived and greeting a few Guests. We managed to prise him away for some pictures of him and his Groomsmen before more Guests arrived. Tracy and the girls were now ready. Tracy’s Grandad was giving her away so there were some lovely joyful moments when he first saw her, Tracy looked lovely. Whilst waiting for the Guests to be seated for the Ceremony, the Flowergirls enjoyed watching from above the activities. The Bridesmaids and Flowergirls led the way when all was ready, followed by Tracy accompanied by her Grandad.
After the Ceremony Tracy and Ben with their glass of Champagne went outside into the sunshine. The Guests followed and they all socialised for a little while, allowing for us to get some natural shots.
During the afternoon we took the requested family pictures and later pictures of Tracy and Ben around the grounds, finishing off with the confetti pictures on the steps.
The Wedding Breakfast beckoned, so the Guests took their places leaving Tracy and Ben a few minutes by themselves. Making sure they had chilling out time, just before they went inside a couple of pictures of Tracy swirling her dress. The Orangery looked lovely! In fact the colours Tracy and Ben had chosen for their Wedding was superb. After the meal it was time for the Speeches. Good Speeches, great reactions! Once these were completed everybody went outside to enjoy the evening sunshine. The Flowergirls went off to enjoy the freedom of playing and running about on the lawn as they had done earlier in the afternoon as Tracy and Ben’s evening Guests arrived. After Tracy and Ben had greeted a few of them we took them for a few pictures inside the house upstairs and on the balcony. Tracy threw her bouquet afterwards from the Balcony to the waiting girls below. Great pictures! After cutting their Wedding Cake, Tracy and Ben took to the dance floor for their First Dance, followed by their Guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better sunset, it was brilliant! Tracy and Ben then rejoined their Guess to continue dancing which is when we said ‘goodbye’. A wonderful day and a lovely couple!
