Abby and Michael chose The Old Kent Bar, Dover, for their Civil Wedding Ceremony and Reception. Abby got ready in the oldest part of the Barn which had atmospheric oak beams which added to the character of the pictures. The Ceremony was held outdoors in the Gazebo, which was beautifully decorated. After the Ceremony the Guests enjoyed a Drinks Reception on the lawn in the sunshine, whilst we arranged the requested family groups, assisted by Ian Low, the Toastmaster. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the fabulous new Tithe Barn and the meal was excellent. After the Speeches we took Abby and Michael for a few pictures by the lake and around the Barn, briefly interrupted by a fly-past by Abby’s Dad’s plane. As it was such a lovely day, we waited for the wonderful sunset which was a while after the First Dance but well worth the wait. This was our first visit to The Old Kent Barn, Dover, and we were very impressed not only with the Venue itself but with the friendliness of the Owners and staff and hope it will not be too long before we are there again.
