  • Prested Hall Wedding Fair

Wow! What a really good Wedding Fair it was at Prested Hall, Kelvedon, today!  A massive thank you to the staff at Prested Hall and to everyone who attended despite the rain!  We thoroughly enjoyed talking to prospective Bride and Grooms, who came and spent time talking to us, and to cap a very successful Wedding Fair we finished the day with bookings and appointments to see people.

  • Wedding Photography for Natalie & Wayne – Parklands, Quendon Hall

It was a lovely day in February, for the Wedding of Natalie and Wayne at Parklands, Quendon Hall. Natalie was just having the final touches applied to her make-up, when we arrived, which worked well for us as we photographed this as well as the detail shots. As the Men were getting ready at Parklands as well, David went and captured the laughter there.  Natalie then moved to one of the other rooms for her photographs where we captured some lovely images. Following the Civil Ceremony, Natalie, Wayne and their Guests enjoyed a Drinks Reception in the grounds of Parklands in the warm sunshine. A few family photographs were followed by a short break for the couple, then we took Natalie and Wayne for a short walk around the superb grounds of Parklands, for their pictures, where there are so many opportunities, without taking too much time.  The Pavilion was the setting for Natalie and Wayne’s evening celebrations, and after taking some First Dance pictures  we left them to finish enjoying their Wedding Day.  It was nice to meet Richard of ‘Your Perfect Day’ Video and look forward to working with him again during the year. • Wedding Fair – Charter Hall, Colchester

What a brilliant day we had today at Charter Hall!  Thank you to everybody who visited our Stand and had a chat with us about your plans. We had such an enjoyable day and we were very pleased to come away with Wedding bookings.  Thank you!

  • Commissions (again)

We recently photographed a wedding for some friends who told us afterwards that the feeling they got from the Venue was that they were being pushed towards various suppliers probably for a ‘commission’ payment.

Please note that  while we are aware that SOME venues ask for a commission, WE DO NOT PAY COMMISSION to any of the numerous venues that recommend us. We are recommended because of the job we do, respect for venue, staff, timing….and oh yes we take some decent pictures!!

  • Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Fayre

Thank you to everybody who attended the Wedding Fayre at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer yesterday.  It was a brilliant day and we enjoyed talking to so many couples about their Wedding Day plans.  Thank you also to Sharon of The Wedding Fayre… for all her hard work in making the day such a success!

  • Wedding Photography for Lisa & Mark at Fennes

Lisa and Mark chose the lovely Fennes Estate, Bocking, for their Civil Ceremony and Reception. The girls were busy with their final preparations in the house whilst Mark had arrived with his Best Man and Ushers, unfortunately, not bringing the Wedding Rings with them!  Not to worry, plans were soon in place to get them, however the Registrars needed to leave on time  for another Wedding! Lisa, after being told of this, was amazingly chilled!  The rings arrived moments before the Ceremony so everything turned out fine and we captured some lovely pictures.  After the Ceremony we took a few family pictures before taking Lisa and Mark onto the bridge.  It was a dry day but a little bit damp underfoot so Lisa and Mark stood mostly on the bridge, rather than around the grounds.  Following the Wedding Breakfast we took a few pictures of Lisa and Mark in the Gold Room before a night shot, ending with First Dance pictures.Wedding Photograph at Fennes, Essex

  • Wedding Photography for Emily & Andy at Hadleigh Town Hall, Suffolk

It was a pleasure to be asked to photograph Emily and Andy’s Wedding as we first met Emily when we photographed Kate (Emily’s sister) and Aaron’s Wedding at Crabbs Barn in 2008.  It was a dry day when we joined the girls at Emily’s parents’ house for the getting ready pictures and after taking a few pictures we left to go to Hadleigh Town Hall.  The marriage Ceremony took place in the Council Chamber and Harvey and Amelia, Emily and Andy’s children, were a very special part of this.  After the Ceremony, Guests socialised in the Guildroom, where we also took some requested family group pictures as a shower stopped us from going outside.  The rain did stop and despite being a bit chilly, we took some fun shots in the Gardens with the Bridal party, followed by going for a short walk for Emily and Andy’s pictures.  The Wedding Breakfast was held in The Old Town Hall and the food was wonderful.  The evening Reception was held in the Grand Hall and after capturing First Dance pictures and Emily and Andy’s final pictures we said our goodbyes.  Thank you to Helen and John for making us so welcome and being part of a very enjoyable day.Wedding - Hadleigh Town Hall, Suffolk
