  • Bradbourne House Wedding – Kate & Mark

    Bradbourne House Wedding

We were delighted to be asked to photograph Kate and Mark’s Wedding at the stunning Bradbourne House, East Malling Kent.  Kate was a Bridesmaid at her sister’s Emma’s Wedding which we photographed at Court Lodge Barn, Stansted, Kent, in the summer last year. Now it was role reversal time! We arrived at Kate’s Parents’ house on a beautiful early spring day. The girls were getting ready and everything was running smoothly. Capturing the moments as well as detail and accessory shots kept us busy and as always the last hour was going so quickly!

Kent Wedding Photographer Kate was helped by her Mother, Yvonne, and her Bridesmaids, Jemma, Emma and Becky and once everything was completed we all stepped outside into the garden for a few portraits. With a slight wind blowing we were thankful the back garden was sheltered.  After taking the pictures we then left to go to St Mary’s Church, Fawkham, for the church service.  The sun was shining, some Guests were greeting Mark and his Groomsmen, whilst others were just arriving.  It was a lovely setting for some informal guest arrival pictures before the start of the Wedding.  After a couple of pictures of Mark, it was time for everybody to go inside the Church before Kate arrived.  With all the guests seated in the Church, Kate was  escorted by her Father, Paul, and her Bridesmaids, along the path and into the church.Kent Wedding Photographer After the service, Kate and Mark led their Guests outside for a few requested family pictures.  Although reasonably sunny and warm the wind had got up causing a change to our spot for some of the pictures. Kate and Mark in between the pictures talked to their Guests before it was time to leave for the Reception.  This was our first Bradbourne House Wedding and we were looking forward to taking pictures taken there, hoping we could find sufficient time! Luck was on our side, the journey was good so getting there at the same time as Kate and Mark allowed us to take the happy couple for a short walk around the stunning grounds for some pictures. Bradbourne House Wedding As their Guests arrived they went into the House to enjoy the Drinks Reception and as ever we wanted the happy couple to spend time with their guests, not just us taking photos! Whilst Kate and Mark enjoyed this period we took some candid and documentary pictures of the guests.  With it being so warm, several of their Guests spilled out onto the patio and steps at the back of the House to enjoy the sunshine, giving us extra opportunity for some different pictures.  After a few requested small group pictures and some fun bridal pictures, it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. We were unsure whether there was going to be a sunset and if we would be able to see it due to the trees! Knowing it would be during the Wedding Breakfast we were on standby and we couldn’t have been more lucky, a  brilliant sunset! Wedding Photographer KentAfter the Speeches the room was prepared for the evening entertainment. With the room transformation complete, Kate and Mark then performed a rehearsed First Dance to their Guests, followed by members of Kate’s family doing their ‘party’ piece, great fun!Essex Wedding Photographer We finishing our coverage of a wonderful Wedding with a couple of outside pictures.  Thank you to Emma for helping us finding Guests so quickly for the pictures allowing us to get some extra pictures of Kate and Mark together. A wonderful Wedding!  Thank you to Yvonne and Paul for making us so welcome. We look forward to doing another Bradbourne House wedding in the future.

    Non-Sharing Wedding Photography

Occasionally and for a wide variety of reasons, we photograph Weddings where the couple request we keep their pictures private and not share them online or use them in anyway. Of course when requested to do this we will comply. Therefore, here is a lovely picture of the superb Wedding Venue from earlier in the year and as the couple have requested us not to use their pictures, that is all we can do do for this wedding!,

    Location Engagement photoshoot

It was lovely to meet Kate and Mark again for their Location Engagement photoshoot.  We chose to meet met them at their Wedding Venue, Bradbourne House, East Malling, Kent, as we had not photographed there previously. The sun made a timely appearance to lift the pictures. This being a new Venue for us, it was good to have a look around ahead of  Kate and Mark’s Wedding Day so we would have an idea which locations we might use on the wedding day.

  • Wedding Photography Fennes for Kirstie & Jason

    Wedding Photography Fennes

It was a bright but cold day when we arrived at Fennes to cover Kirstie and Jason’s Wedding Day. Kirstie was getting ready upstairs and Jason was getting ready in the cottage, so there was plenty of action going on to keep us busy! After a few pictures of Jason, his Best Man and Ushers they left to go to the Church.  When Kirstie, her Parents and Bridesmaids were ready we took a few pictures before it was time for us to leave for the Church, St Mary’s, Bocking. Fennes Wedding Photographer Guests were beginning to arrive by a Wedding Bus and Coach, but we had time to take a few pictures of Jason outside the Church, before he resumed his duties. The path leading up to St Mary’s Church makes for one of our favourite places for Guest arrival pictures which we took and captured some nice images.  It wasn’t long before Kirstie arrived.  Although it was still bright the temperature wasn’t increasing, so Kirstie, her Dad and the Bridesmaids didn’t waste any time getting from the car to the porch!  With the music playing Kirstie walked into the Church for the service to begin.  After the service Kirstie and Jason came down the aisle but didn’t go outside the door!  As a few pictures family pictures were requested, being extremely cold i,t was decided to do these pictures in the warmth of the Church! Afterwards the Guests lined the path for Kirstie and Jason to walk down, showering them in confetti. Kirstie and Jason returned to Fennes in the Coach with their Guests following them.Fennes Wedding Photographer After Kirstie and Jason had a short time with their Guests before Kirstie put her boots on for going over to the Bridge for a few of their together pictures.  During the afternoon we took pictures inside and outside Fennes as the weather held before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Whilst the Wedding Guests were being seated we made the most of a few moments with Kirstie and Jason in the Gold Room and Red Room resulting in some nice images. Essex Wedding Photography The Fennes Estate The Pavilion looked wonderful for the Wedding Breakfast.  After the Speeches, their Evening Guests arrived.  A couple of night shots and a couple of special group pictures ended our day. It was a beautiful day for Sasha and Neil’s Wedding at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer, Suffolk.  Sasha, her Bridesmaids and Parents were getting ready at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury and that’s where we met them early on the Wedding Day.  After capturing some getting ready pictures, we took a few formal pictures when they were all dressed.

Wedding Photography Smeetham Hall Barn Sasha looked amazing and we took some lovely bridal images of her.  Leaving them we made the journey to Smeetham Hall Barn for the Civil Ceremony.   Neil was busy with last minute preparations when we got there but we managed to find some time for his pictures and some with his Groomsmen.  Once these were completed Neil greeted a few of the Guests before moving out of sight into the Barn before Sasha arrived. After meeting with the Registrars, Sasha took her Father’s arm and joined the Bridesmaids in the Marquee, before they made their way into the Barn for the Ceremony.  Sasha and Neil exchanged their vows with the sun streaming in through the windows.  After the Ceremony, Sasha and Neil led the way into the Marquee where they spent a little while talking with their Guests. During the Drinks Reception, the requested family pictures were taken outside as it was dry and bright. The grounds of Smeetham Hall Barn looked lovely bathed in winter sunshine and Sasha and Neil as well as ourselves wanted to make the most of the opportunity.Wedding Photography Smeetham Hall Barn  Later the Speeches took place followed by the Wedding Breakfast.Wedding Photographer Smeetham Hall Barn Whilst the Barn was arranged for the evening Reception and the Band was setting up, it was nice to take some shots of Sasha and Neil by the Christmas Tree.  Sasha and Neil’s evening Guests arrived and a short while later it was time for the cake cutting and the First Dance. Smeetham Hall Barn at night looks beautiful and before we left we took a couple of pictures of Sasha and Neil outside.  A lovely end to our Wedding photography coverage of a wonderful couple and a fantastic day.Smeetham Hall Barn Bulmer Suffolk

  • The Old Rectory Wedding Photography for Catherine & Jamie

The Old Rectory, Dunton, was the chosen Wedding Venue for the winter Wedding of Catherine and Jamie. On the morning of their Wedding we arrived at Catherine’s Parents’ house to cover the final bridal preparations.  All things were going well and they all seemed relaxed and enjoying the occasion.  After taking a few detail and accessory pictures, it was time for the bridesmaids to get dressed.  It was then Catherine’s turn to get dressed, helped by her Mum.  Catherine’s Bridesmaids had not seen the dress so when Catherine walked into the room, some lovely moments were captured, she looked amazing!Wedding Photographer Essex The cars had arrived whilst we were taking the portrait pictures so afterwards we all went outside for some shots with the cars, then we left them to go the Venue.  Jamie was chatting with a few Guests when we arrived at The Old Rectory, so before many more arrived we took Jamie and his Best Man, Simon, for their pictures.  Catherine arrived a little while later in the glorious sunshine and made her way into the Manor House for the Civil Ceremony. After exchanging their vows, Catherine and Jamie went outside The Old Rectory for a couple of pictures before leaving for a quick drive in the classic American car . The beautiful weather allowed the Guests to mingle outside for the Drinks Reception for a short while, awaiting the return of Catherine and Jamie. It seemed a great opportunity to take an ‘Everybody’ picture with a difference with all the guests grouped around the  car. We moved swiftly onto the requested family group pictures before the fun pictures. The Old Rectory Dunton Wedding PhotographerThe late afternoon sun kept us all warm (ish)! Catherine and Jamie wanted to make the most of the wonderful weather so we quickly got on with their together pictures around the grounds of The Old Rectory. • Ballathie House Wedding – Kerry & Chris

Ballathie House Wedding photography  –  We were delighted to be asked to be the Wedding Photographers as well as Wedding Guests for Kerry and Chris at the stunning Ballathie House Hotel in Stanley, Scotland. This was an extra special Wedding for us as we have known Kerry since she was born.  Kerry was getting ready for her Wedding in a suite of rooms in the Hotel, so that is where we started off  our day.  We were greeted by Kerry and Chris’ children, full of excitement and why not! After taking some detail and accessory shots, David went off find Chris and his Groomsmen,  whilst I stayed with the girls.  Good timing! Chris had just arrived, so after capturing those moments, getting them altogether was the next job to do. It had been raining all morning but thankfully it had now stopped. David took a few pictures of the men outside Ballathie before they went inside to carry out their duties.Ballathie House wedding Scotland

Meanwhile, the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls were getting dressed, then they assisted Kerry as she got into her Wedding Dress. Kerry looked stunning! A few pictures followed before it was time for the Civil Ceremony.  The Bridesmaids and Flowergirls led the way into the room where the Ceremony was to be held.

Stanley photographerAfter the Ceremony Kerry and Chris left the room and headed towards the front of the Hotel, followed by their Guests.  Kerry and Chris wanted to make the most of the weather for their pictures.  Although wet outside, it was not cold at all, and with the help of Guests, minimum fuss, good organisation, we took a few requested family pictures. On a roll, with the agreement of Kerry and Chris, we continued with other pictures especially as the weather was holding up and we had light! A  couple of  pictures with Kerry and Chris with the children walking in the grounds with afternoon sun was a bonus! With these pictures achieved, Kerry and Chris had a short time to enjoy the Drinks Reception, whilst we caught up on some informal pictures..

Ballathie House wedding It was soon time for Kerry and Chris’ ‘together’ pictures. The River Tay provided a wonderful backdrop which we used as well as making full use of the trees and the fallen autumn leaves.  Wonderful colours, together with the changing colours in the sky. As the mist came down Chris wanted a picture with all the men in Kilts and a short while later it was time for the cake cutting.wedding photographer Perth ScotlandThen the Wedding Guests took their places for the speeches before the Wedding Breakfast.  After coverage of the Speeches, we finally became ‘Guests’ as well!  Later, once the Band were set up, the evening celebrations began.  Kerrry and Chris’ evening Guests arrived, and soon it was time for  the First Dance.  A little while later the Ceilidh began, the dance floor was full! After capturing some dancing pictures, we put our cameras down and joined the party! A wonderful Ballathie House Wedding!
