  • Crabbs Barn Wedding Photography for Louise & Stephen

Crabbs Barn Wedding Photography – We arrived at Louise’s home for her preparation photographs prior to Louise and Stephen’s Wedding Ceremony at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.  Preparations were well in hand and Emily, Louise and Stephen’s daughter was enjoying watching what was going on! With the details photographed, Isobel, the Bridesmaid got ready whilst Louise dressed Emily before getting herself ready.  Emily was wonderful, smiling constantly, providing us with some nice images,  a ‘thank you’ to Isobel for helping us as well.  Meanwhile, Louise was putting on her lovely Wedding Dress and it wasn’t long before she came downstairs for a few pictures before we left for Crabbs Barn.  The earlier rain had disappeared and the forecast for the day was looking good and so it continued when we got to Crabbs Barn. Crabbs Barn Wedding Photography EssexWe took a few pictures of Stephen and his Best Man, Dan, then left them to continue their duties. Louise arrived later escorted by her Dad and they made their way into the Barn for the Civil Ceremony.  After the Ceremony Louise and Stephen went for a ride in the car whilst their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception. During the afternoon we took a few family group pictures and later took Louise and Stephen for a few together pictures.

  • Is your Essex Photographer still in business?

We have had three instances in the last few days which remind us how long we have been in business as an Essex photographer …. and it’s still here.

Firstly a call to replace a damaged picture of the Mayor from 1998 – as it turns out although we still have our 1998 negatives we did not start our Mayors portraits until 1999! We will be doing a scan, retouch the damage and reframe; Secondly, the Matron of Honour on a recent wedding said “you did my first wedding in 1988”; and thirdly we bumped into Helen and Stefan who are celebrating their Silver Wedding this month. It is really nice to see our past clients, if you see us do say ‘hello’.

Helen & Stefan – if you read this, do get in touch a for complimentary Silver Wedding portrait rather than a rather hasty casual snap!

  • Crabbs Barn Evening Wedding, Kelvedon for Elizabeth & Ryan

Crabbs Barn Evening Wedding – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon was the chosen Wedding Venue for Elizabeth and Ryan’s evening Wedding Ceremony and Reception.  We arrived at Crabbs Barn and met Ryan, together with his brother who was the Best Man.  In between Ryan welcoming the Guests we took a couple of pictures of him together with members of his family before it was time for him to see the Registrars.  Elizabeth arrived shortly after with her daughter, who was the Flowergirl, and her sisters who were the Bridesmaids. We managed to get a couple of pictures of them all before it was time for the Ceremony to begin.  Following the Ceremony everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the grounds of Crabbs Barn. A little while later we took a few requested family pictures before the fun Bridal Party pictures and catching up on a few portraits of Elizabeth.Crabbs Barn Evening Wedding Enjoying the nice weather we later took Elizabeth and Ryan all around Crabbs Barn including taking some pictures in the lane and in the Cornfield before the confetti shots.

Informal Speeches followed and these made for some nice images outside the Barn before it was time for the meal.  Shortly afterwards it was time for the cake cutting and then Elizabeth and Ryan took to the dance floor for their First Dance as husband and wife, which is where we ended our wedding photography coverage.

  • Wedding Photography Kent – Court Lodge Barn, Stansted for Emma & James

Wedding Photography Kent – It was a bright and early start for us, with fingers crossed for the rain to stop for Emma and James’ Wedding in Kent –  We arrived at Emma’s house and the bridal preparations were well underway and going smoothly. With lots to photograph I busily got on with the ‘getting ready’pictures whilst David did something we don’t often do and disappeared for a little while to photograph the men’s preparations at the nearby Brands Hatch Place Hotel.

David returned shortly and it wasn’t long before the girls were dressed and ready for a few pictures. As it had dried up outside we took a couple of pictures of Emma, the Bridesmaid and her Parents and a few bridal portraits, before it was time for us to leave for the Church.

St Mary’s Church, Fawkham, was where Emma and James were to be married.  The sunshine was out as James, his Groomsmen and the Guests arrived at the Church.  A few pictures of James with his Best Man and Ushers were taken before it was time for them to go inside the Church.

Emma arrived at Church with her Father and Bridesmaids and made the short walk up the path and into the Church for the service.

After being showered in confetti Emma and James left the Church for the Reception.

Court Lodge Barn, Stansted was the chosen Wedding Venue and as the Guests arrived they enjoyed the Drinks reception in the warm sunshine in the grounds behind the Barn whilst being entertained by a Steel Band. Once Emma and James arrived, we took a few pictures of them before they socialised. During this time we took some informal pictures before the fun bridal pictures before the Wedding Breakfast.

As there was a few minutes between the end of the dessert and Speeches, and it was very hot in the Barn, Emma and James came outside and we took advantage and took some pictures of them.  This was followed by capturing some lovely reactions when the Speeches took place.

The lane beside the Barn provided Emma and James with some lovely evening pictures before their First Dance.  Thinking we were not going to get a sunset that evening, we all were delighted when we looked skywards for the umpteenth time that evening and found we did! A nice way to end our coverage of a lovely Wedding.

  • Wedding Photography Layer Marney for Rebecca & James

Wedding Photography Layer Marney Tower– It was a lovely day for Rebecca and James’ Wedding.  Our day started at the home of Rebecca’s Parents for a few preparation pictures followed by a few portrait pictures once everybody was ready.  The garden proved to be a good spot for a few pictures before it was time to make our way to Layer Marney.  Rebecca and James chose to have a Church Ceremony at Layer Marney Church and that is where we met James with his Groomsmen.  In between the Groomsmen carrying out their duties and James greeting the Wedding Guests, some of whom travelled on the Layer Marney Routemaster bus, we managed to find a little time for a few pictures of them. Rebecca arrived not long afterwards in the Layer Marney Rolls Royce. Rebecca and her Bridesmaids then walked up the path and into the Church.  Following the  service there were a couple of pictures outside the church and the confetti shots. Rebecca and James went for a ride in the car, whilst their Guests walked the short distance from the Church up the path and steps to Layer Marney Tower, for the Drinks Reception.

Wedding Photography Layer Marney The String Quartet provided the entertainment for the Guests in the sunshine.and it wasn’t long before the happy couple returned.  With a few requested family group pictures to do we got on with them, followed later by some fun bridal party pictures, with the Flowergirls providing us with some extra fun pictures. Wedding Photographer Essex  Making sure Rebecca and James had time to talk to their Guests we just went for a short walk around Layer Marney with them for a few pictures.  The Wedding Breakfast took place in the Long Gallery and was followed by the Speeches. Afterwards everybody enjoyed the evening sunshine before the start of the evening Reception.  When it was time for the First Dance, Rebecca and James surprised their Guests with a superb rehearsed dance. With their dancing shoes on, their Guests then  joined them on the dance floor.  A firework display happened later on in the evening and that is when our coverage of this lovely day ended.Essex Wedding Photography It was nice to work with Emma Brooks, make up artist and Andrew of Crystal Clear and  no doubt we will be working with them again soon.
