Our day started at Fennes, Bocking, where Natasha, and her Bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done. Everyone was busy with final preparations and it was nice to be there to capture these special moments. Time was flying by and after taking a couple of pictures David went ahead to St. Mary’s Church, Bocking, for Paul’s pictures with his Best Man and Ushers. I decided to stay behind with Hart Videography and capture the action pictures. As always the warm welcome by Canon Philip Need of St. Mary’s Church greeted Natasha as she arrived at the Church. After the church service we took a few photographs outside and confetti pictures before returning to Fennes. After giving Natasha and Paul some time to relax we photographed the requested family pictures, before having another short break, before taking them for a little while for their photographs around the beautiful grounds of The Fennes. Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, we took a few pictures of the happy couple before the First Dance.

Wedding Photography for Katy & Sam at Westwood Park, Colchester
We were delighted to be Photographers as well as Guests at the Wedding of Katy and Sam at the beautiful Westwood Park. This was a special Wedding to us as David photographed Sam’s Parents’ Wedding a week before our own Wedding in 1981 and we have known Sam since he was born. After taking Katy’s final preparation pictures at her home we went to Westwood Park. The Ceremony was held in the Old Library, followed by a Drinks Reception on the lawn. A rain shower briefly interrupted proceedings but didn’t distract from the relaxed atmosphere of the day. A walk around the wonderful grounds of Westwood Park with the Bride and Groom is a must, so taking the opportunity, we achieved some lovely photographs. Following a BBQ, Katy and Sam’s evening Guests arrived. Katy and Sam were lucky enough to have a rainbow and sunset, which made some special photographs for them. A brilliant day!

Wedding Photography for Danielle & Steve at Prested Hall, Feering
Danielle and Steve chose Prested Hall, Feering, for their Wedding, and as David and I arrived preparations were well underway with both Danielle and Steve. I joined Danielle, her Mum and Bridesmaids, capturing her final getting ready pictures, whilst David joined Steve and his Groomsmen in the grounds of Prested Hall. The Wedding Ceremony was held in The Orangery, followed by everybody going outside for some requested family group pictures. The weather held as we took Danielle and Steve for a short walk to the Gazebo and Bridge for some relaxed Bride and Groom portraits, before returning to their Guests for confetti shots. Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches we were lucky enough to get a sunset, resulting in a nice evening picture, before photographing the First Dance.

Kellie & Brian – Renewal of Vows at Maison Talbooth
Kellie and Brian chose the picturesque Maison Talbooth, Dedham, in Constable country, for their Renewal of Vows. We were delighted to be asked to photograph the event and took photographs during the relaxed informal ceremony and then of their family and friends during a Drinks Reception around the Pool. With the number of Guests that Kellie and Brian had, it was easy for us to communicate with everybody, keeping the relaxed atmosphere, which was what Kellie and Brian wanted.

Wedding Photography for Michelle & Adam – Prested Hall, Feering
Michelle’s final bridal preparations were taking place at Prested Hall, when we arrived, so we took a few pictures before heading off to the beautiful St. Peter’s Church, Coggeshall. Before Michelle arrived we took a few pictures of Adam and the men, outside the Church. After the service we quickly got on with the family group pictures and a few other pictures as it was a humid day and the clouds looked threatening! Fortunately, we managed all this before the rain began to fall! Once back to Prested Hall, as it was still raining Michelle and Adam socialised with their Guests inside. Before long it stopped raining, the sun came out and we were able to take a few pictures of Michelle and Adam around the grounds of Prested Hall. Coverage of the Speeches and pictures of the First Dance completed our day.

Wedding Photography for Lauren & Neil at The Lawn, Rochford
It is always a pleasure to visit The Lawn, Rochford, which is where Lauren was preparing for her Wedding. Having taken a few pictures of Lauren with her Attendants, we made our way to Holy Trinity Church, Rayleigh, to photograph Neil and his Attendants, before Lauren arrived. After the Church service we took a formal group of the Bridal party followed by confetti shots, to minimise the time spent at the Church. I took a few pictures of the Guests as we travelled back to The Lawn on a double-decker bus. The weather was beautifully warm for the Drinks Reception, whilst we took the requested family group pictures with some good fun pictures of the Bridal party. After spending a few minutes creating Lauren and Neil’s romantic pictures, everyone was seated for the Wedding Breakfast in The Orangery. Not wanting to take too much of Lauren and Neil’s time, we kept the range of evening shots to a couple, with very pleasing results!

Wedding Photography for Tara & Matt at The Fennes Estate, Bocking
Tara and Matt chose The Fennes Estate, for their Wedding. Tara and Matt were both getting ready in the Georgian House for their Civil Ceremony, which was being held outside in the Gazebo. After saying a quick ‘hello’ to Tara, David went to find the men to take some final preparation pictures, whilst I stayed with Tara and her Bridesmaids, capturing their preparations. Tara and Matt really wanted an outside Ceremony and as the Guests arrived and made their way to the Gazebo, fingers were being crossed regarding the weather! Following a few pictures of Matt, then Tara, everything was ready . Tara and her Bridesmaids made a lovely picture exiting the House towards the Gazebo. After the Ceremony, Tara and Matt made their way back to the House when the first drops of rain began to fall! We captured some lovely natural moments of Tara, Matt and their Guests in the Reception rooms whilst waiting for the heavy shower to pass. Fortunately it did, the sun came out, and everyone went outside for a few family photographs. We had a good time doing some fun relaxed pictures as well, before the Wedding Breakfast. The brilliant Irie J sang during the meal and for the First Dance, it was great to catch up with him again.

Wedding Photography – Rachel & Ben at Layer Marney Tower
Rachel & Ben’s choice of Venue for their Wedding was Layer Marney Tower, Essex. Rachel and her Bridesmaids were getting ready at her Parents’ house which is where our day started. Preparations were well underway when we arrived. As it was raining outside we took some nice pictures inside, before leaving for Layer Marney. Ben, being in the Paras, naturally looked very smart, was greeting Guests when we arrived so in between times we managed to take a few pictures of him before the Ceremony. As it was still raining after the Ceremony we took the family groups outside the Corsellis Room before Rachel and Ben went for a ride in the Layer Marney car and the Guests went for the Drinks Reception. When Rachel and Ben returned we took them into the tower for a short while for a few portraits. A break in the weather prior to the Wedding Breakfast allowed everyone to get outside for a few shots. We took some fun, informal photos outside in the early evening before the First Dance.
