Estelle and Wayne chose the superb Wedding Venue, The Fennes, for their Wedding. Regardless of the weather this has to be one of the very best Venues to take photographs at and this Wedding proved to be no exception. We photographed Wayne immediately we arrived outside Fennes, knowing the rain was not going to hold off for long! Bridal preparations were going on upstairs in the Fennes Suite, giving us ample space to do so nice portraits of Estelle, her family and Bridesmaids.
Following the Civil Ceremony in the Pavilion, Guests made their way to the front of the house for the Drinks Reception. Using the Gold Room for the photographs worked well for the requested family groups, having the experience of having this happen many times certainly helps! After a break as it was still raining we took Estelle and Wayne for a walk around the inside of Fennes, stopping every now and then for a few pictures. During the Wedding Breakfast, with us being there all the way through the Wedding, we noticed the rain had stopped. Asking the couple if they wanted to go outside, we were greeted with a delighted ‘yes’. With ‘wellies’ on, off we went together with David of Rideout Productions, had great fun, capturing lovely pictures.
Following the Wedding Breakfast, Speeches followed and later Cake cutting and First Dance pictures. What a day! Thank you to Wayne and Estelle for your smiles, laughter, all day long. Great also working with Rideout as always and all the staff at Fennes.

Wedding Photography for Ashley & Simon – St Andrew's Church, Hempstead & Spains Hall, Finchingfield
An early start for us for Ashley & Simon’s Wedding as Ashley was getting ready at Crest Lodge, Spains Hall, before leaving to go to St. Andrew’s Church, Hempstead. On arrival, the girls were having their make-up applied by the superb make-up artist, Alexis Day. A wonderful atmosphere and some lovely pictures to take. We photographed Ashley in the garden together with her Parents and Bridesmaids before leaving for the Church. Following the Church service most of the group pictures were taken outside the Church door as this made a lovely setting.
Ashley and Simon left the Church after being showered in confetti and made their way to Spains Hall, Finchingfield. Guests congregated inside and outside the House during the Drinks Reception as did Ashley and Simon, before we went for a short walk around the splendid grounds of Spains Hall for Ashley and Simon’s romantic pictures.
Being a beautiful day, the stunning backdrops of Spains Hall made Ashley and Simon’s together pictures even better. Making sure Ashley and Simon had time to speak to their Guests, after a little while, the Bridal Party made their way to the front of Spains Hall for some fun bridal party pictures before being joined by everybody else. After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, evening Guests arrived and shortly the First Dance. Following the First Dance, we took a couple of pictures of Ashley and Simon outside The Stables, before we left.

Thank you 2012 and Happy New Year
This post is a a big thank you to all our clients from 2012 and our New Year Resolutions for 2013.
Wedding photography will be our main area again during 2013 with an increasing number of family portraits. We will of course continue our endeavours to provide excellence in what we provide and how we provide it! Thank you to the venues that currently recommend us for what we do and how we do it, as we still believe it is wrong to be recommended solely on a commission basis.
We aim to be further inspired by some of the world’s greatest artists and photographers and not just slavishly copy them. All the wedding pictures in our galleries are and will continue to be from real weddings, not photo-shoots, something that we know a few of our ‘peers’ may struggle with!
We aim to work even more closely with our clients to achieve images that are very special for them and also for our portfolio.
A Happy New Year to all our all our friends in the trade and clients old and new.

Wedding Photography for Victoria & Michael – St Leonard's Church, Lexden & Westwood Park, Colchester
When we arrived at Victoria’s Parents’ house, preparations were in full swing, everything going well, lots of details and action for us to capture. Mum and Dad’s garden was spectacular and even though it was very hot with the sun shining, we all wanted to take some pictures in the wonderful setting.
With images captured, it was time for us to leave for St Leonard’s Church, Lexden. Michael, his Best Man and Ushers were greeting Guests when we arrived and in between arrivals we managed to get some pictures of them all. Not long afterwards, Victoria arrived at the Church with her Father and they made their way into the Church. Fortunately, we were able to photograph from the Balcony in this lovely Church, capturing some lovely images.
Some family group pictures were taken after the service, before going to Westwood Park. With many of the big group pictures being taken at the Church, Victoria and Michael had plenty of time to socialise at Westwood Park. Fun Bridal Party pictures happened during the afternoon as well as some Bride and Groom portraits around the beautiful grounds. With endless photographic opportunities, it was really nice that Victoria and Michael wanted to take advantage.
After the ‘Everybody’ picture by the Lake it was time for the Wedding Breakfast, followed by the Speeches. With timings working out well, and as the sun was going down, a few extra pictures were taken of Victoria and Michael.
Evening Guests arrived before the First Dance and not long afterwards we left them all to the celebrations. -
Wedding Photography for Karen & Gary – Prested Hall, Feering
It was a cloudy but dry start to Karen and Gary’s Wedding Day when we arrived at Prested Hall, Feering. Karen and her Bridesmaids were getting ready upstairs and after photographing some detail pictures and capturing preparations, some formal photographs of them all were taken. David took Gary and his Groomsmen for their pictures in the grounds before the Civil Ceremony. The Oak Room at Prested Hall was where the Civil Ceremony took place and this was followed by Karen and Gary greeting their Guests during the Drinks reception. With the weather not playing ball at this time, everybody socialised inside, waiting for the shower of rain to pass. The sun came out, making for some nice relaxed pictures outside and allowed us to take a leisurely stroll around Prested Hall for some pictures of Karen and Gary.
Following the Wedding Breakfast and coverage of the Speeches Karen and Gary took a few moments to enjoy an early evening stroll around the grounds which enabled us to captures some relaxed picures, finishing in a nice sunset shot.
Cake and First Dance followed with some pictures of their Evening Guests and a picture of Karen and Gary in the oak beamed main room, before the end of the day for us.
