Donna & Sam were married at Hintlesham Hall, near Ipswich, Suffolk. Hintlesham Hall is set in beautiful grounds only a few miles from Ipswich, Suffolk and only a short distance from the A14.

Wedding Photography Fennes – Hollie and Chris

It was a windy but dry and warm day for Hollie and Chris’ Summer Wedding at Fennes. Hollie and Chris wanted to have an outdoor Civil Ceremony at Fennes and their wish came true. Hollie and her Bridesmaids were getting ready in the house whilst Chris and his Groomsmen were getting ready in the Lodges. When Chris was ready he had some pictures taken. Meanwhile, Hollie and her Bridesmaids were getting dressed, so they were ready for their pictures. Soon it was time for Hollie to go and see the Registrars before the start of the Ceremony. The Bridesmaids then led the way outside, followed by Hollie and her Father. After the Ceremony, Hollie and Chris spent a little time with their Guests before the arranged pictures. We changed the planned location for the requested family pictures closer to the guitarist, as the wind had got up, making it hard for the guests hear him play. The Guests carried on enjoying the Drinks Reception whilst we took Hollie and Chris for a short walk around the grounds for their ‘together’ pictures. Before the Wedding Breakfast we did an ‘everybody’ heart shot. Thank you to Sue from Fennes for helping us to achieve this so speedily! Everyone then made their way into the Pavilion for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches took place before the meal so they could all enjoy the meal without pressure! Afterwards and before the evening Guests arrived we took a few pictures of Hollie and Chris in the Gold Room and Red Room. The cake cutting was before Hollie and Chris took to the dance floor for their First Dance together. Capturing a lovely sunset picture for Hollie and Chris completed our coverage of their Wedding.

Marquee Wedding Suffolk

It was a beautiful day for Helen and Jamie’s Church and Marque Wedding. Our first port of call was to Helen and Jamie’s home for some getting ready pictures. Whilst Helen was having the final touches applied to her make-up and hair we got on with taking detail and accessories pictures. Once Helen was ready we took a couple of bridal portraits then a couple of pictures with her Parents before leaving. St Edmund’s Church, Assington was the place where the Church service for Helen and Jamie’s chose to get married. With the sun shining brightly the flowers over the gateway to the Church enhanced the picturesque scene. Guests were beginning to arrive so we took a few pictures of Jamie, his Best Man and Ushers, followed by a couple of requested pictures. Whilst the Guests made their way into the Church, Anna, their Flowergirl waited outside for Helen to arrive. Helen arrived in a white Morgan driven by her Father and after a couple of pictures walked up the path to the Church. Anna led the way into the Church sprinkling flower petals as she went, followed by Helen escorted by her Father. After the service we took a few family pictures before the Guests threw confetti over Helen and Jamie as they reached the gateway. Helen and Jamie wanted to have a few pictures of themselves in the Church before leaving, so their Guests left to go the Reception. Jamie then drove the car to the Woods where we created some nice pictures of the two of them. It wasn’t long before we all joined the Guests at Jamie’s Parents’home for the Reception. Their Guests were relaxing in the garden so we captured the images before the Wedding Breakfast in the Marquee. We returned after the Wedding Breakfast to take a few informal pictures of the evening celebrations, including the First Dance. A stroll down the road and into a field for a splendid sunset picture concluded our coverage of Helen and Jamie’s summer Wedding. A wonderful day!

Anita and Steve couldn’t have asked for a better day for their Maidens Barn Wedding. Our first port of call on their Wedding Day was at Anita’s home for the bridal preparations. We arrived as Anita was in the final stages of having her make-up and hair done. In between photographing these moments we got on with photographing Anita’s accessories.

The Bridesmaids were also getting ready as well as Anita’s Mum so there was a lot happening, but everything was running smoothly. It was a beautiful day and once they were all ready we all went into the garden. Anita looked stunning and with a mixture of sun and shade we got on with the more posed pictures. We managed to find time for a final picture of them all standing by the white London cab at the front of the house before we left. It had been a while since we had photographed a Wedding at Maidens Barn so we were really looking forward to this country barn setting. An outside Ceremony was what Anita and Steve wanted and their wish was granted! We took a few pictures of the set-up before the Guests started to arrive and some pictures of Steve and his Groomsmen. Anita arrived soon afterwards. The Guests took their places for the Ceremony and with the Harpist playing the Barn Doors opened and Anita, holding onto her Mother’s arm made her way into the garden. After the Ceremony, Anita, Steve and their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception, making use of the new Oak Barn which provided coolness and shade! Once the requested family groups, fun and confetti pictures were done there was a little time for Anita and Steve’s pictures. Although still hot we walked to the field for a few pictures of them together. Soon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The Wedding Breakfast was held in Elm Barn and the Speeches followed. Everybody then went outside to enjoy the evening sunshine and the evening Guests started to arrive. Anita and Steve wanted to practice their First Dance out of sight of their Guests, so this gave us the opportunity to go with them and take a few pictures as well. When most of Anita and Steve’s evening Wedding Guests having arrived they took to the dance floor. A brilliant First Dance! The best place for the sunset that evening was a short drive down the road and knowing how much Anita and Steve wanted their pictures, they were happy to go for a ride in our car! Thank you Anita and Steve, lovely Wedding Photography Maidens Barn! After capturing some informal pictures during the evening, we finished with a Maidens Barn night picture! Lovely to see Hannah and Craig again, a year after we photographed their Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon. A wonderful day!

Wedding Photography Spains Hall for Lucy & Steve

It was nice to be asked to photograph Lucy and Steve’s Wedding at Spains Hall, Finchingfield. On arrival at Spains Hall, after saying ‘hello’ to Lucy who was getting ready in the Tapestry Room, David went off to find the men. Steve, his Best Man, Ushers and Parents were in Crest Lodge. Steve’s final preparations were going well as were Lucy’s. The Flowergirls, Rebecca and Amelia, Lucy and Steve’s daughter, were enjoying getting ready and giving a helping hand. When the men were ready, they had a few pictures taken in the garden before walking over to the House for the Ceremony. With Lucy dressed, looking lovely, and everybody else ready, Lucy’s Dad joined them for some pictures. After we had taken the Bridal portraits of Lucy, it was time to go down the stairs for Luct to meet with the Registrars. The Wedding Guests were seated in the Elizabethan Hall awaiting the Ceremony. The Flowergirls led the way into the Hall followed by Lianne, the Bridesmaid and finally Lucy and her Dad. After all the formalities were completed, Lucy and Steve exited the room had a few minutes to themselves whilst the Guests were handed confetti and went outside. Lucy and Steve were covered in confetti as they made their way into the grounds surrounding Spains Hall. The happy couple then greeted their Guests during the Drinks Reception before we got on with the requested family photos. It was a glorious day, so hot, but we managed to take some fun bridal party pictures in next to no time and take Lucy and Steve for a few minutes around the grounds for their pictures. Just before the Wedding Breakfast there was time for the ‘everybody’ shot in front of the Hall before they made their way over to the Stables. The Speeches followed the meal. While the room was prepared for the evening, the Guests enjoyed the evening sunshine, relaxing and participating in the garden games. Amelia, Rebecca and the other children had fun running around as well. During the evening we took some informal pictures of the evening Guests. As it was now cooler we took Lucy and Steve for a few minutes along the driveway for some evening pictures before re-joining their Guests. With the turnaround complete everybody made their way back into the room for the evening celebrations to begin, starting with the First Dance, then it was the party! A beautiful day, a beautiful sunset to finish! After taking this picture we took our leave. It was nice working with Helga, the Wedding Co-ordinator, seeing Nina of Piana DJ. Thank you Lucy and Steve, you were brilliant, for being part of your Wedding, we enjoyed it!
