We met Lucy and Richard for their pre-wedding photo shoot at Richard’s Parents home one evening recently. After talking about their forthcoming Wedding at Hedingham Castle, we went outside for a short walk in the lane and garden for their pictures.
We met Sarah and Rob one evening to talk about their forthcoming Wedding and for their pre-wedding Engagement session. ThePre-Wedding Engagement session gives us a chance to get to know our clients a little better before the ‘big day’, finalise the timings and any special requests. We work at so many venues with beautifully manicured lawns, it is always nice to find some wild flowers to add interest to our pictures when possible! Sarah and Rob are having a Church Wedding followed by a Wedding Reception at The White Hart, Great Yeldham.
Fennes is one of the most popular and also one of our favourite Wedding Venues. This was where Gemma and Dan chose to have their Wedding. When we arrived at Fennes, it was raining, so unfortunately the planned outside Ceremony looked highly unlikely! Gemma was getting ready upstairs and preparations were going well. Meanwhile, Dan was getting ready in the Bridal cottage with his Best Man and Ushers. For Dan’s pictures the rain had stopped so we went outside for their pictures. Excitement was building upstairs as the Bridesmaids were getting their dresses on, followed by Gemma getting dressed. Gemma looked lovely and once ready we took a few classic pictures.
After Gemma and Dan had seen the Registrars, with the Wedding Guests seated, it was time for the Ceremony in the Pavilion which looked perfect. Beautiful singing by Gemma’s Mum, Lynn, and sister, Charlotte, added to the celebration. Afterwards, Gemma and Dan left the Pavilion and made their way outside with their Guests following them. During the Drinks Reception we took the requested family pictures as well as some informal shots. The bridge and Gazebo provided the setting for some of Gemma and Dan’s ‘together’ pictures before the confetti pictures in the Gold Room.
We were hedging our bets for more pictures later together with the weather improving. The Wedding Breakfast was then served followed by the Speeches. The sun was now out so after taking some fun Bridal party pictures, there was time to go and take a walk around the grounds of Fennes, which Gemma and Dan wanted to do. 
The evening guests were starting to arrive and mingle with the day guests. The children were having fun on the Bouncy Castle and some of their Guests were relaxing in the evening sunshine. Later Gemma and Dan took to the dance floor for their First Dance, to be joined by their parents and Guests. As the sun was going, we couldn’t miss that!
A nice ending to a lovely day! Thank you to Nicola and all at Fennes as always.
It was a beautiful day for Sarah and Kevin’s Wedding at the stunning Gosfield Hall. Sarah was upstairs getting ready in the Rococco Suite when we arrived, whilst Kevin was arriving with his Groomsmen. Whilst Kevin made his way upstairs to get ready David took various pictures around Gosfield Hall and of the men getting ready, whilst I stayed with the girls. The Rococco Suite was a hive of activity, not just with the girls getting ready but with the Pageboys too. Kevin and his Groomsmen were getting ready at Gosfield Hall as well and once they were ready they had a few pictures taken. 
The Rococco Suite provides a wonderful setting for pictures, both formal and informal, and today was no exception. After Sarah’s Dad had seen her, it was time for the Registrars to see her before the Ceremony. Once the Wedding Guests were all seated in the Queen’s Gallery, it was time for Sarah to be escorted by her Dad along the corridor and into the Ceremony Room. Following the Ceremony Sarah and Kevin made their way down the staircase and into the Courtyard with their Guests behind them. 
Enjoying the Drinks Reception in the sunshine, Sarah and Kevin spent a little time with their Guests . We then took them for a quick walk around Gosfield Hall for a few of their ‘together’pictures.
Sarah and Kevin were showered in confetti upon their return as they walked under the Bell Tower and into the Courtyard. For the family group pictures everybody made their way to the lawn by the fountain. It was soon time for the Receiving Line, followed by the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches followed, with Guests surprised at a Speech delivered by Callum, Sarah and Kevin’s son. Afterwards, everybody relaxed in the rooms and in the grounds of Gosfield Hall before the evening celebrations. Being such a lovely evening, the light was better and it wasn’t as hot, we were able to escape to take a few relaxed pictures of Sarah and Kevin. The cake cutting was before the First Dance . 
Finishing with a couple of night shots we than said our goodbyes and left them to continue with their celebrations.
Prested Hall Wedding Photography – It was nice to be asked by Jonathan and Charli to photograph their Wedding at St Nicholas Church, Witham and then Prested Hall, Feering. We have known Jonathan since he was born and it was a pleasure to provide Wedding Photography for them. Prested Hall was where we started on the day of Charli and Jonathan’s Wedding. Charli, her Mother and Bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done before moving to the Dingle. After capturing a few ‘getting ready’ shots, we then moved to the Dingle where we took a few pictures of Charli’s Wedding Dress and accessories. It was soon time for Charli to move from the Spa to the Dingle to get dressed, assisted by her Mum. With everybody ready we took a few pictures outside before leaving to go to our local Church St Nicholas, Witham, where the Wedding service was taking place. We met Jonathan and as a few guests had started to arrive we promptly took his pictures together with his Best Men and Ushers. Once the Guests had made their way into the Church, Leah the Flowergirl joined Charli and the Bridesmaids who had just arrived and we had a few extra minutes for a some nice pictures. Charli then took her Father’s arm and walked up the path and into the Church.
After the service, Charli and Jonathan led their Guests out of the Church for a few requested family pictures. Being a nice dry afternoon, we had a choice of where to do these. Everybody then threw confetti over Charli and Jonathan as they walked towards the Wedding car, making for some nice relaxed images.
Arriving at Prested Hall everybody socialised during the Drinks Reception and after the car pictures so did Charli and Jonathan. With the Wedding Breakfast time not far off we decided to take Charli and Jonathan for their pictures over the bridge. 
On our return it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The Marquee looked lovely and whilst Charli and Jonathan greeted their Guests we captured the reactions of their Guests as they had their ‘first look’ at the lego centrepieces on the tables. Charli was extremely proud of her Brother’s work in making them all. After the meal it was time for the Speeches,which included an ‘ode’ by Jane, the Groom’s Mum. Everybody then went outside for a big group photo before the evening entertainment. Charli, Jonathan and ourselves went for a stroll in the grounds, finding a patch of bluebells, just right for some relaxed evening pictures. On our return the Band had set up, evening Guests had arrived and Charli and Jonathan had their First Dance. Later Jonathan surprised Charli with joining the Band playing his Guitar for a couple of songs. A little while later we said goodbye, finished with a couple of nice evening pictures. We met Jaimey and Mehmet one morning in Hackney for their pre-wedding photos and to go over the details of their Wedding Day. Choosing a park near to them for their pictures, proved the right choice, not many people around and the weather was just perfect. Jaimey and Mehmet are getting married soon at The Fennes Estate, Bocking.
We arranged to meet Anita and Steve one afternoon recently for their pre-wedding pictures and a chat about the their Wedding Day. Anita and Steve wanted their Pre-Wedding Pictures outside, however,when we arrived it was raining lightly. Fortunately, after going over the details for their Wedding, the rain had stopped, good timing! We are looking forward to their Wedding at Maidens Barn, High Easter, soon.
Our day started at Louise’s Parents’ house for the bridal preparations. We took a few pictures of Louise’s dress and accessories whilst capturing the ‘getting ready’ pictures. Once everybody was ready we took a few posed photos of them inside as it was drizzling outside. We left Louise to go and meet Stephen at The Holy Name Church, which they had chosen for their wedding. Guests were starting to arrive at the Church as we got there but we managed to take Stephen, his Best Man and Ushers for a few pictures in between the flow of guests! The rain had stopped and as Louise arrived the skies were brightening which was good timing! Louise took her Father’s arm and they made their way into the Church. This lovely light Church with a Balcony allowed us to get a variety of pictures during the service from different angles.
Louise and Stephen exited the Church and exchanged a few words with their Guests, before we arranged the requested family group pictures. The Guests threw confetti over Louise the happy couple as they left the churchyard heading to the Reception. The Reid Rooms was where the Reception was held and as always looked a picture. Whilst waiting for all their Guests to arrive at the Reid Rooms, we took Louise and Stephen for a few of their ‘together’ pictures. 
Louise and Stephen then joined their Guests in the Courtyard for the Drinks Reception. Being a warm afternoon, everyone enjoyed socialising outside whilst we took some informal pictures. 
During the afternoon we took a few fun pictures of the Bridal party. The Wedding Breakfast beckoned and everyone entered the Dining Room for this to commence. Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast and then the cutting of the Wedding cake. Guests relaxed outside whilst waiting for the evening entertainment to begin. James of PianaDJ provided the music for the evening and when Louise and Stephen were ready they took to the dance floor for their First Dance. A little while later we rounded off our coverage of Louise and Stephen’s Wedding with a couple of evening pictures.

After a meeting with Victoria and Lee to finalise the details and timings for their wedding day, we went to take their pre-wedding photo session. A lovely evening, resulting in some nice pictures. We are looking forward to Victoria and Lee’s marriage at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, soon.
