  • Essex Barn Wedding – Sarah & Bob

Essex Barn Wedding Photography – Sarah & Bob

Sarah and Bob had an Essex Barn wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.

It was beautiful weather at a wonderful Venue. As we arrived we were joined by some of the Wedding Guests. Meeting and greeting happened so we captured these moments. Some Guests had arrived early and made the most of the setting enjoying the weather.

After Bob had spoken to some of the Guests we took him, together with his Ushers and Best Man for a few pictures.

It was soon time for them all to go into the Barn and take their seats for the Ceremony. Sarah travelled to the venue with her two sons and Bridesmaids. Matthew and Adam,Jayne and Sophie had done a good job in calming the nerves that Sarah felt! After a few pictures and seeing the Registrars, Sarah escorted by Matthew and Adam entered the Barn.

    It’s Now or Never!

Sarah’s nerves were on hold but as Sarah walked up the aisle they made an appearance! As Sarah arrived at the front the nervous tears went, these were replaced with laughter and tears of joy! Bob had arranged to change the music to ‘It’s now or never” as Sarah arrived. Everyone fell about laughing, this was very apt as Sarah and Bob have been together for 30 years and only now decided to get married! Wonderful moments, lovely pictures.Essex Barn Wedding Kelvedon Once the formalities were over Sarah and Bob went out of the  Barn and went off for a short ride in the car. Their Guests enjoyed Drinks and Canapies during this time. When Sarah and Bob returned they had a little time to socialise  before we got on with taking some requested pictures. A few fun/informal pictures followed. Wedding Photographer EssexLater following the confetti pictures it was time for the Wedding  Breakfast.

    The Speeches

The Speeches took place after the meal, some great reactions.wedding speech reaction photos Evening Guests arrived to join in the  celebrations. During the evening we went for a short walk with Sarah and Bob around Crabbs Barn finishing in the field for a sunset. Cutting of the Wedding Cake was then followed by the their First Dance and dancing. Wedding Photography for Sophia & Glen –

St Mary Magdalene Church & Prested Hall

It was a beautiful day for Sophia and Glen’s Wedding photography. Our day started arriving at Orsett Hall where Sophia and her Family were staying.

Sophia was getting ready with her Bridesmaids when we went to see her. Preparations were well under way and the girls were enjoying every minute. As they carried on with their preparations David and I got on with taking the pictures of Sophia’s Wedding Dress and her lovely range of accessories. Essex Wedding PhotographerOnce the pictures were taken, Sophia then got into her Wedding Dress, assisted by her Bridesmaids. Sophia looked lovely and before we got on with taking some pictures, her Father came into the room to see her. After taking pictures of all of them, as everyone was ready we had time to go out the front of Orsett Hall for some pictures with the cars. We then left to go to St Mary Magdalene Church at Great Burstead.

Arriving at the Church we went to find Glen and his Groomsmen. When they were all together we took a few pictures of them outside the Church before they greeted the Wedding Guests and went into the Church.Essex Church Wedding Photographer The Church looked lovely decorated inside and outside by Jo of Brown’s Blooms and Balloons. Sophia arrived a short time later and after we took a couple of pictures, she then took her Father’s arm and entered the Church. After the Church service the Wedding Guests came out first with their confetti and waited for Sophia and Glen. As they exited the Church they were covered in confetti, some nice pictures. Wedding Photographer EssexA few family group shots were taken in the grounds and of course a few with Sophia and Glen with their dog!

Sophia and Glen wanted a few pictures of the two of them in the Church and we happy to go back inside and take these before we all left the Church. Prested Hall was the setting for Sophia and Glen’s Wedding Reception.

    Prested Hall

Everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception and during this time we took some informal pictures and a few other requested ones as well. We had a little time to go over to the Gazebo with Sophia and Glen for a few pictures of them before returning to the Guests and getting everyone together for a big ‘everybody’ picture.

The Wedding  Breakfast followed and afterwards it was time for the Speeches. Once these were finished Sophia and Glen had a few relaxed pictures taken with their Bridal Party and we took some relaxed evening pictures around Prested Hall of the two of them. Wedding Photographey Prested HallLater Sophia and Glen cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Evening Guests had joined the party so we took some informal pictures of them during the evening. Later as a surprise for their Guests Sophia and Glen provided Sparklers. The weather, which had been lovely all day, decided not to play ball!  Fortunately it was only light rain and Sophia and Glen ended up with some lovely Sparklers pictures.Prested Hall Wedding Photographer After this event we said our ‘goodbyes’. A wonderful day and a lovely couple!

Photography for smaller weddings – Hylands Park

Sometimes we get asked for Photography for smaller weddings, which are always a pleasure to cover.

Lisa got in contact with us in the early summer last year by recommendation, which is always nice to know! Lisa and Mark were going to have a small Wedding Ceremony at the Registry Office but wanted a few pictures beforehand. We arranged to meet Lisa and Mark together with their daughters at Hylands Park, Chelmsford.

Although a dry day it was chilly and the girls were glad of their cardigans! Hylands Park provides some lovely photographic opportunities so off we went with the family to see what we could capture. We had an enjoyable time walking around, stopping to take some pictures where we all wanted to. This didn’t take too long and Lisa and Mark ended up with a nice selection of varied pictures around Hylands Park as a few memories of their Wedding Day.

It was a lovely day for Becky and Marcus’ Church Wedding at Lavenham and their Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography and reception. Becky, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready at The Swan, Lavenham. When we arrived there earlier in the day preparations were well underway. We stayed a while in the room where the preparations were going capturing a few of these pictures before going off to photograph Becky’s Wedding Dress and accessories in another room. Essex Wedding PhotographerReturning to the girls it was time for the Bridesmaids to go and get changed and Becky followed soon after. With lots going on and time evaporating extremely quickly everyone was very focused!

David decided to go to the Church during changing whilst I remained with the girls. So good to have the Church just up the road! Once Becky and the Bridesmaids were ready, I just took a couple of pictures of them before Becky’s Father came upstairs to see his daughter. It is one of those moments I love and I was happy to be there. My turn now to get my skates on and leave them and make my way to the St Peter & St Paul Church.Essex Wedding PhotographerDavid had taken the pictures of Marcus and his Groomsmen and they were inside the Church awaiting the arrival of Becky. The Bridesmaids and Becky arrived and entered the Church. After the service Becky and Marcus came out of the Church and went off to the side to allow their Guests to exit. The guests lined the path and showered the happy couple!Essex Wedding Photographer At the Church we took the few requested family pictures before leaving to go to Smeetham Barn.

Drinks awaited everyone at Smeetham. After Becky and Marcus had some social time we went over to the House and grounds for a few pictures of them. Enjoying the weather everyone socialised outside and we got on with taking some informal pictures. Soon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast followed by the Speeches. Some great reactions captured!

Parklands Quendon Hall Wedding Photography for Sarah & Gordon

This was a Parklands Quendon Hall Wedding for Sarah and  and Gordon earlier this year. We arrived at Parklands in the morning and went to see Sarah who was getting ready within the House in the Changing Rooms. Preparations were going well but it was busy with several Bridesmaids having hair and make up done. Gordon and his Groomsmen were getting ready at Parklands as well. Essex Wedding Photographer ParklandsAs soon as Gordon was ready we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen outside. They then greeted the Guests.

Once Sarah’s hair and make-up were finished Sarah got dressed.  As always the last hour goes so quickly but we managed to take a few pictures before Sarah was needed bythe Registrars.

    The Outdoors Ceremony

The day was so hot the Guests were seated for the outdoor Ceremony very close to the time of the Ceremony, just before Sarah came downstairs. The Bridesmaids led the way outside, then Sarah took her Father’s arm and they followed. Parklands Wedding PhotographerAfter the Ceremony Sarah, Gordon and their Guests went to the fountain at the back of Parklands for the Drinks Reception. Sarah and Gordon spent a little time with their Guests before we took some family pictures and caught up with the pictures of Sarah and the girls. A little later on we took Sarah and Gordon to the lake but this was only for a short while as the sun was so strong and they were both too hot! Guests later threw confetti over Sarah and Gordon before they all sat down for the Wedding Breakfast. Wedding Photographer Parklands

    The Wedding Breakfast and Evening

The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and after the meal the Speeches took place. When these were finished everyone mingled in the Pavilion as well as outside. During this time we took some evening pictures of the happy couple around the grounds as it was now a little cooler. Sarah and Gordon cut their Wedding Cake prior to the First Dance and afterwards it was time for the sunset. A nice one! Vaulty Manor Wedding Photographers for Emma & Rob

We were delighted to be Vaulty Manor Wedding Photographers for the Spring Wedding of Emma & Rob. The forecast for the day was that it was going to be a hot day and we were not disappointed.

When we arrived at Vaulty Manor on the morning of the Wedding it wasn’t long before we were looking for the shade! Emma was getting ready in the Bridal Suite with her Mum.

Preparations were going well so we got on with taking a few pictures of Emma’s Wedding Dress and accessories. We liked their Disney theme!

Rob and his Brother,Paul, were around the Venue sorting out a few last minute things before they went off to get ready. Preparation pictures taken, Rob and Paul got into their Wedding attire. Once they were ready they had a few pictures with the Dads with the Wedding Car.

The car was for Emma and her Dad as they were going to go for a car ride before the Ceremony.Wedding Photographer Vaulty Manor Once Rob’s pictures were finished they went into the new Reception area. Emma had a few pictures taken in the Bridal Suite once she was ready but time was evaporating at an increased rate! Emma and her Father then went off for a ride. As the Guests arrived at Vaulty Manor they went into the new Reception area which is a lovely extension to this Wedding Venue.

    The Wedding Ceremony

Before long it was time for the Guests to go into the room for the Civil Ceremony. Emma had arrived back at the Venue and after seeing the Registrars was ready to make her entrance into the room accompanied by her Father.Vaulty Manor Wedding Photographers Following the Ceremony the Guests made their way outside and waited for Emma and Rob to come out so they could cover them with confetti. As everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception we took some informal pictures. Emma and Rob wanted some family pictures taken which we took afterwards.

We couldn’t believe the swan in the grounds of the Manor House made an appearance so taking the Bride and Groom with us we went over to the pond and took a few pictures.Wedding Photographer Essex Vaulty Manor It was such a lovely day but rather hot so we didn’t take very long in taking their pictures, they were happy and so were we to do catch up on their pictures in the evening.

    The Wedding Breakfast

It was soon time for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches followed. Rob delivered his Speech as is usual for the Groom, finishing it off with a magic trick. The pressure was on, especially as there was a Magician in the room! Brilliant! It worked, well done, Rob!Essex Wedding Photographer After the Wedding Breakfast the Magician entertained the Guests whilst we took Emma and Rob around the grounds to catch on a few pictures we didn’t do earlier. Another Essex Wedding Photographer Testimonial email to us before the couple had even seen a picture!

We can not thank you enough for being part of our special day. All our guests said how lovely you both were, and how your passion for photography really shows through. Myself and alex both enjoyed the photos being taken on the day and you made us both feel so comfortable. We did not feel at all like we were on an all day photo shoot. We really can not wait to see the photos and put the album book together with you.

Maybe not everybody wants to feel that way and book other photographers!Essex Wedding Photographer Testimonial

Jemma and Nick were married earlier this year at Clare Priory with their Reception at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer. Our day started at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury which is where Jemma and Nick were getting ready. Jemma was being assisted by her Bridesmaids and preparations were going well. Meanwhile Nick was being helped by his Groomsmen in a different part of the Hotel.

Both sets of preparations pictures were very relaxed and good fun. Once Nick was ready we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen outside The Mill Hotel before he set off for Clare Priory. The girls were soon ready for their pictures and we took those in the room.Wedding Photographer Suffolk It was then time for David and I to set off for Clare Priory. Susannah and Daniel booked us for Evening Wedding Photography when they were married at the popular Crabbs Barn earlier in the year.

When we arrived at Crabbs Barn, Susannah was almost ready and we had enough time to take a few pictures of her and her family. The weather was fine to take some pictures outside the Bridal Room. The sun going down was a bonus and provided a nice setting. Daniel had a few pictures taken before going in to the Barn for the Ceremony.

Following the Ceremony for a few minutes we took Susannah and Daniel off for a few pictures whilst the Guests were served drinks. Susannah and Daniel had time to mingle with their Guests for a short time afterwards.

In the Barn we took a few requested family pictures. Joshua, Susannah and Daniel’s eighteen month old son had a few pictures as well. Before everyone had something to eat we all went outside where the Guests threw confetti over Susannah and Daniel.Evening Wedding PhotographyCrabbs Barn Wedding Photographer A couple of informal Speeches took place later.
