It was a beautifully warm, bright, sunny day for Claire and James’ Wedding Day at Gosfield Hall. Claire and her Bridesmaids were getting ready in The Queens Apartments, which made for some lovely photographs, whilst James and his Best Man and Ushers were getting ready in The Kings RoomsApartments. Following the Civil Ceremony, Claire, James and their Guests went outside to enjoy the Drinks Reception, allowing us to capture the relaxed atmosphere of the day. A few requested family photographs were taken after a little while, followed by another break for everyone. With so many photographic opportunities provided at Gosfield Hall, we try to use a variety of them throughout the day. We took a short walk around Gosfield Hall with Claire and James for their Bridal Portraits before finishing with some fun Bridal Party and confetti pictures. Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches and some evening pictures of Claire and James we covered the First Dance and a few informal pictures before leaving them to continue the end of their special day.
Clare and Denny choice of Wedding Venue for their Wedding was the lovely Fennes Estate. It was a beautiful spring day when we arrived at Fennes which allowed us to take a few pictures of Denny and his Best Man and Son in the grounds of Fennes. Claire was getting ready upstairs in the House, where we were able to take some lovely photographs of her. Clare and Denny’ s Civil Ceremony took place in The Gold Room, followed by a Drinks Reception. After spending some time with their Guests we took some family photographs that Clare and Denny requested . Following another break we took Clare and Denny for their Bride and Groom portraits making great use of some the many photographic opportunities that Fennes has to offer. Luke and Amelia, Clare and Denny’s children, were having a wonderful time together with the other children present and it was great to capture their enjoyment!
We were delighted to be asked to do the Wedding Photography for Rhian and Steve in the Cotwolds recently. Steve is a very good school friend of David’s and to be asked initially as Guests before we were asked to be the Professional Photographers, it was a pleasure to be part of their Wedding Day. The early mist was beginning to disappear, giving us sunshine, as we arrived at Rhian’s house for a few pictures before leaving to go to the beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum. The Great Oak Hall was where the Civil Ceremony took place and we were spoilt for choice with where to photograph afterwards. This picturesque setting made for some nice photographs of Rhian and Steve before going the short distance to their Wedding Reception at the Hare & Hounds Hotel, Tetbury. This wonderful Country House Hotel provided us many opportunities of photographs inside and out. Following the Speeches there was a short interval before the evening celebrations started.
Lucy and Nathan were married at Prested Hall, Feering on a chilly but dry day in December. Lucy’s final preparations were calmly taking place upstairs in Prested Hall while the Guests started to arrive for the Wedding. Nathan, his Best Man and Ushers greeted the Guests before we took them for a few photographs around Prested Hall. After capturing a few pictures of Lucy, she entered the Oak Room for the Wedding Ceremony. Lucy and Nathan were congratulated by their Guests during the Drinks Reception as we took some informal pictures. Preparing everybody for the Group Photograph outside, resulted in a lovely picture taken before people got cold. A few family pictures were taken inside but Lucy and Nathan braved the cold for some beautiful pictures outside in the Gazebo and on the bridge. It was well worth it!
Whilst it was raining in Essex, we were lucky and were booked for the wedding of Diane & Doug at Athelhampton House in Dorset. The venue is quite simply stunning. Diane & Doug will have some great pictures all around the fabulous gardens.
Our first visit to Spains Hall, at Finchingfield, Essex – www.spainshall.co.uk, to photograph a wedding revealed what a great place it is to work! The opportunities for locations to photograph in the well maintained grounds and gardens are fantastic; The staff are friendly, efficient and highly professional; the food by Le Talbooth was delightful. We have several more bookings for wedding photography Spains Hall in 2008 and look forward to working there again.
