Wedding 'Thank You'

We were delighted to receive this ‘thank you’ from Susannah and Paul who got married in August 2012 at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer:-

Wedding Photography for Jane & Paul – All Saints' Church, Springfield & Little Channels, Little Waltham

We were pleased to be asked by Jane and Paul to photograph their Wedding, just before Christmas. Jane and Paul wanted coverage of their Wedding from the Church to the Wedding Breakfast, which we were very happy to provide. On arrival at All Saints’ Church, Springfield, Paul and his Groomsmen were greeting some Guests so in between this we took a few pictures of them. Jane’s Bridesmaids arrived shortly afterwards, followed by Jane and her Dad. Following the Church service, although chilly outside, it was dry enough to take family group pictures and a couple of confetti shots before leaving to go to Little Channels, Little Waltham. With Jane and Paul’s Guests enjoying the Drinks Reception we took a few photographs of the two of them as well as a few smaller requested group photographs by the christmas tree.

Wedding Photography for Cherilyn & Antony – St Bartholomews Church, Wickham Bishops & Channels

We were delighted to be asked to photograph Cherilyn and Antony’s Wedding. We arrived at Channels Cottage where Cherilyn, her family and Bridesmaids were getting ready. It was our first visit to Channels Cottage and we were impressed. After photographing details and the girls getting ready we took a few more portraits in the lounge before leaving to go to St Bartholomew Church, Wickham Bishops. Antony and his Groomsmen were greeting Guests but in between times we took a few pictures of them before they went into Church. Cherilyn arrived shortly afterwards and the church service began. Cherilyn and Antony had arranged for the use of the Church Hall for their Guests after the ceremony, so they could enjoy mulled wine whilst we created some photographs for Cherilyn and Antony in the church as it was raining outside. We took a variety of pictures around the church of Cherilyn and Antony, with the atmosphere of the Christmas season. Luckily as we left the Church after the family groups, the rain had stopped, just right for confetti! Fortunately, it wasn’t raining either when we arrived at Channels, so with a change of footwear for Cherilyn, pictures outside it was! We managed a few nice picturs under the barn before walking back past the lake to greet their Guests in the Essex Barn.Following an everybody picture outside the Wedding Breakfast commenced. After the Speeches it was nice to get a few shots of Cherilyn and Antony in the main Barn before the start of their evening celebrations. Later and after the First Dance we finished our coverage of Chereilyn and Antony’s Wedding with a couple of night shots. A extra special ‘thank you’ goes to Cherilyn and Antony for being such a relaxed couple, smiling continously, and we loved the quote ‘ so pleased to go outside’.

Wedding Photography for Simone & Rory – Hengrave Hall, Suffolk

With this being our first time photographing a Wedding at Hengrave Hall, David and I were particularly looking forward to Simone and Rory’s Winter Wedding. Having viewed this Venue a few weeks before on a dull day, we were delighted that this day was the opposite! Simone was getting ready with her Bridesmaids in the Bridal Room, which made for some nice pictures, whilst Rory was getting ready with his Groomsmen in the Boys Room along the corridor. Simone and Rory chose to get married in the Church within the grounds of Hengrave Hall. Just walking the short distance from the Hall to the Church made for some lovely images especially as the sun was breaking through, causing the ice to melt and fall from the trees. Following the service Simone and Rory led their Guests back to the Hall and quickly as not to keep everybody in the cold for too long we arranged the required family group pictures outside. Whilst the everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception inside we captured some informal pictures as well as a few small group pictures. With the splendid backdrops of this Venue, Simone and Rory took advantage of going back outside to capture the late afternoon sun. The Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed and in between the time before the evening reception began we took some Guest pictures, groups and couples by the Christmas Tree in the Library whilst final touches were being made to the dance floor for the evening entertainment.

Wedding Photography for Kirsten & Dom – The Lawn, Rochford

Kirsten and Dom chose The Lawn, Rochford, for their Wedding. We arrived at The Lawn just as the girls were arriving in their Limo, with their hair and make-up done. Whilst Kirsten was getting ready upstairs, Dom, his Best Man and Ushers were arriving downstairs and ready for some pictures. Once Kirsten was ready and we had taken a few photographs, Kirsten, her Dad, followed by the Bridesmaids walked down the staircase and made their entrance into the Grand Hall for the Civil Ceremony.Taking advantage of the bright dry day following the ceremony, Kirsten and Dom wanted some family group pictures taken outside. Kirsten and Dom socialised with their Guests afterwards before confetti and a few pictures of themselves around the grounds of The Lawn. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Orangery and the Speeches followed. Before the First Dance we took Kirstin and Dom onto the Balcony for a few evening pictures.After the First Dance, Kirstin and Dom were surprised by the arrival of Father Christmas and delighted by a gift of their Honeymoon destination. A nice ending to finish our day.

Wedding Photography for Rebecca & Michael – St. Mary's Church, Bocking & The Fennes

Our day started at Fennes with Becky getting ready there before going to the Church. After a few final preparation pictures upstairs, we took Becky’s Bridal portraits downstairs in the Gold and Red rooms. As Ian of Nixons Cars arrived, that was our cue to leave and head off to St. Mary’s Church, Bocking. Capturing some pictures of Mike, his Best Man and Ushers, before many of the Guests arrived was achieved and as they made their way into Church, we waited for the arrival of Becky. After the Church service and a few family photographs outside the Church, everybody left to go to Fennes for the Reception. With the light being good, whilst the Guests were still arriving, we took Becky and Mike for a few pictures on the bridge. Prior to the Receiving Line, with the sun going down we quickly whizzed Becky and Mike outside to capture the sunset. Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, Becky and Mike enjoyed a little while to themselves in the Gold Room (discreetly we took a couple of pictures!), before returning to their Guests for the cutting of the Wedding cake and their First Dance.

Wedding Photography for Amanda & Stuart – Gaynes Park, Epping

It was a really cold but dry day when we arrived at Gaynes Park, Epping, for the Wedding of Amanda and Stuart. Amanda was getting ready in the Apple Loft cottage and we took a few pictures there of Amanda, her Parents and her flowergirl, Gabby. For the Ceremony in the Orangery, despite it being cold, Amanda chose to go down the path, through the heart gate and make her entrance through the walled garden gates. After the Ceremony, Amanda and Stuart wanted a few pictures outside and as the light was going, it had to be quick! With a fabulous sunset and a sheltered area to take a few pictures, we captured some lovely photographs.
A few requested family group pictures were taken back in the Orangery before everybody made their way into the Mill Barn for the Wedding Breakfast. Following coverage of the Speeches, evening Guests arrived before the cake cutting. Amanda and Stuart then took to the dance floor for their First Dance and shortly afterwards it was time for us to leave them.

Wedding Photography for Nicole & Stephen at Gosfield Hall

On arrival at Gosfield Hall, after saying ‘hello’ and a few words with Nicole and the girls in the Rococco Suite, David went off to find the men as they were getting ready in another suite. I stayed with the girls as there was lots to capture before Nicole got dressed. Meanwhile David was taking some pictures of Stephen and his Groomsmen in the Library once they were ready as it was unfortunately raining. We took some lovely pictures of Nicole, her Bridesmaids and Flowergirl Daisy, before it was time for the Civil Ceremony in the Queen’s Gallery. After the Ceremony, Nicole and Stephen made their way downstairs to the Library for the Drinks Reception. Later some family group pictures were taken in the Grand Salon. Gosfield Hall provides wonderful opportunities inside for photographs and as we could not go outside we made full use of the rooms, staircases and corridors for pictures of Nicole and Stephen.
Following the Wedding Breakfast, it was time for the Speeches. Before the Evening Reception, Nicole and Stephen wanted a few photographs in the Bridal Suite, which we took. Once their Evening Guests arrived the cake cutting was followed by the First Dance and shortly afterwards the Guests were treated to a Firework Display.

Wedding Photography for Karla & Richard – Yaxley Hall, Suffolk

Karla and Richard chose the Suffolk Wedding Venue, Yaxley Hall for their Autumn Wedding. Our day started early being in plenty of time to capture all the happenings of the day. Whilst the girls were getting ready upstairs in the Bridal Room, the boys were downstairs relaxing and having a few pictures taken. Once the girls were dressed and their photographs taken, it was time for the Civil Ceremony. Karla, with her Uncle at her side, made her entrance into the Ceremony room to a song performed by the London Gospel Choir. After the Ceremony, Karla and Richard exited the House to be covered in confetti before a few quick family shots and the Drinks reception. With the lovely setting of Yaxley Hall and the late Autumn colours we managed to take the Bride and Groom portraits in a very short amount of time by staying close to the house. Karla and Richard chose to celebrate their Wedding in the afternoon with a small number of close family and friends and we were able to take some lovely photographs of these guests after the meal and during the Speeches. There was a lovley relaxed break before the Evening Guests arrived, Karla, Richard and ourselves took the opportunity of using the beautiful inside of this Country House for a few stylish pictures. Blue Rhondo Jazz commenced the evening celebrations, in the Marquee, followed by cake cutting and First Dance. The Soprano Bella Singing, a surprise act , was excellent. As Karla and Richard departed in the VW camper van, we were not very far behind them! It was a lovely day and it was nice to see Emily and Claire again, after photographing their Weddings a few year ago.

Wedding Photography for Carrie-Anne & Adam – Parklands, Quendon Hall

It was a mild sunny late Autumn day when we arrived at Parklands for the Wedding of Carrie-Anne and Adam. With plenty going on, Carrie-Anne, the Bridesmaids, the flower girls all getting ready, there was much to photograph. Adam had some pictures taken when he was ready before greeting the Guests as they were arriving. Following the Civil Ceremony, Carrie-Anne and Adam made their way outside towards the fountain which made a beautiful backdrop to some pictures. Canapes and Drinks were enjoyed by everybody, whilst some group pictures were taken. Later, making the most of the wonderful weather and grounds we took Carrie-Anne and Adam for a walk around Parklands, ending with some lovely Bride and Groom together shots down the drive to Parklands. After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, Carrie-Anne and Adam asked for some pictures of the two of them at the Parklands Bridal Cottage. Thanks to Vince of Parklands acting as Chaffeur this happened and with not keeping them from their Guests for too long. The Evening Guests arrived before the First Dance and a short time afterwards we took our leave.
