  • Wedding Photography for Nina & Steve – Kings Oak Hotel, High Beach, Epping

It was a very hot day when we arrived at the Premier Inn where Nina was getting ready for her Wedding.  Fortunately, we found a shady area outside in the grounds for a few pictures once Nina, her Bridesmaids and Family were ready.  Leaving them a short while later we met Steve at The Kings Oak Hotel, High Beach.  With the beautiful Epping Forest all around us we had plenty of nice areas to take some pictures of Steve and his Best Men before the arrival of the Guests.  Following the Civil Ceremony everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception before we took a few requested family group pictures under the shade of the trees in the Forest. wedding-photographer-essex-kings-oak-hotel-high-beach Once the Guests returned to the Drinks Reception we kept Nina and Steve for a few portraits of them together before we returned and captured some informal pictures.wedding-photographer-essex-epping-forest After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches by Steve, the Best Men and Nina, there was time to enjoy the evening sunshine around the Hotel.  Keeping a watchful eye on the evening sun as it was going down and trying to anticipate when we should let Nina and Steve know when the best time would be for their sunset pictures, was well worth it, as we achieved some lovely results. wedding-photographer-essex-epping-forest Some First Dance pictures and some informal pictures of Nina and Steve’s evening Guests ended our day.

  • Wedding Photography for Eilidh & Ben – Butley Priory, Woodbridge

It was an early arrival for the start of our Wedding Photography for Eilidh & Ben’s Wedding.  Eilidh was staying at the Country Lodges at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club, with members of her family who had come down from Scotland for the Wedding.  It was our first visit to the Lodges and we must say we were very impressed, contemporary, spacious and light inside with balcolnies to compliment.  With final bridal preparations taking place, it was all systems go with us taking a few detail shots and just having time for a few portraits of Eilidh, Bridesmaids and Parents, before  we left to go to St. George’s Church, Great Bromley, for the Service.  As the Flowergirls had arrived at the Church, we took a couple of pictures of them as well as capturing Ben with his ‘Beetle’! wedding-photographer-essex-st-george's-church-great-bromley With the beautiful colour scheme Eilidh and Ben had chosen, a glorious day, a Piper leading Eilidh and her Father from the Lych gate into the Church, lovely pictures! After a few family photographs, it was time for the confetti pictures and to make our way to Butley Priory, Woodbridge. The Priory looked a picture in the mid-afternoon sun especially decorated with bunting in the vintage theme the couple had chosen.  Eilidh, Ben and the Bridal party arrived in Camper Vans which made for some fun shots.wedding-photographer-essex-butley-priory-woodbridge Everybody enjoyed the cream tea and had a relaxing time socialising as David and I photographed the many accessories and details that Eilidh and Ben had made.  Afterwards, we used the coolness of the Priory for a few pictures of Eilidh and Ben. Once the Wedding Breakfast had finished Eilidh and Ben wanted a couple of pictures in the Bridal Suite and in the early evening sun around the grounds before the evening Reception, which was held in the Marquee.wedding-photographer-essex-butley-priory-woodbridge-suffolk With Eilidh and Ben’s first dance completed and a few informal pictures of  the evening guests we squeezed in a concluding evening picture of the happy couple before departing.

  • Wedding Photography for Jo and Lee – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon

It was a glorious day when we arrived at Jo’s house for the final bridal preparations.  Lots of excitement coupled with lots of things going on but it was all was running smoothly.  A patch of shade in the garden allowed us to take the portraits pictures of Jo, her Parents and Bridesmaids before leaving to go to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.  With a few pictures of Lee and his Groomsmen taken, it wasn’t long before Jo arrived.  After the Civil Ceremony Jo and Lee went for a short car ride before returning to join their Guests who were enjoying the Drinks Reception.  With the blue sky, warm sunshine, Crabbs Barn looked wonderful and was enjoyed by everybody.  Making sure Jo and Lee had time to be with their Guests in between we took some family photographs, and fun bridal party shots. wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs-barn Just before the Wedding Breakfast we whisked Jo and Lee away from everybody for a few pictures of just the two of them.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn Following the Wedding Breakfast and coverage of the Speeches the happy couple and their guests relaxed in warm sunshine in the grounds.  With lots of laughter, some relaxed informal pictures were taken before Jo and Lee’s pictures in the evening light.  Good fun, nice images, taken prior to their First Dance. wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs-barn Shortly afterwards we left them to continue their celebrations.

  • Wedding Photography for Lorraine & Steve – Fennes

Lorraine and Steve held their Wedding at The Fennes Estate, Bocking. Bridal preparations were taking place when we arrived, so after capturing these pictures together with some accessory shots.  With Steve and the guys having arrived at Fennes we took a few pictures of them outside the house.  Back to the girls who were now ready for their portraits. Annabelle, the Flowergirl and Bobby, the Pageboy, led the way into the Pavilion for the Ceremony. During the Ceremony it rained so afterwards Lorraine, Steve and their Guests had the Drinks Reception inside.  Everybody mingled in the four rooms at the front of the house whilst we took some informal pictures.  After a little while we were able to go outside for a few family group pictures and took a couple of pictures of Lorraine and Steve on the bridge before we were forced to return to the house due to the weather. wedding-photographer-essex-fennes Fennes provides many opportunities for photographs inside anyway so we took some photographs in the Gold Room. We were able to get outside again before the Receiving Line and this allowed us to to do some fun bridal party pictures. The Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast and Steve’s son Guy, the Best Man, delivered his speech packed with emotion.  The early evening light made for some nice pictures of Lorraine and Steve together before the arrival of their Evening Guests.wedding-photographer-essex-fennes

  • Wedding Photography for Anne & Paul – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon

The Crowne Plaza Resort, Five Lakes, was where Anne, and the girls were getting ready so it was there that we started our day.  Knowing that time would be short, we still managed to capture the moments to tell the story.  When we arrived at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, Paul, his Best Man and Ushers were ready for their pictures, before they were required to be out of sight!  Following the Ceremony, Anne and Paul went for a short ride in the car whilst their Guests enjoyed the Drinks reception.  On their return and just as we had taken a couple of pictures by the car, the heavens opened!  This was forecast but it was slightly earlier than expected, and took a longer time to go!  After taking some informal pictures we decided to take some of the smaller family group pictures in the Pavilion followed by taking Anne and Paul into the Barn and other sheltered areas around Crabbs Barn for a few pictures of them.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn Although we work alot at Crabbs Barn and love it, we strive to give each couple different pictures and today was no exception, despite the weather!  In between the courses of the Wedding Breakfast the sun came out and Anne and Paul wanted to have a couple of pictures taken in the grounds which we did.  Once the Speeches had finished the larger family group pictures were taken before the evening Reception.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs-barn With a sunset picture and a rainbow picture later, Anne and Paul’s Wedding Day certainly had variety!

    Crabbs Barn Wedding Photography

It was a a lovely day when we arrived at The Rivenhall Hotel, Kelvedon, for the getting ready pictures of Nicola.  Nicola, her Mum and the Bridesmaids were busily getting ready but they were all relaxed, organised and enjoying themselves.  Getting caught up in the emotions of the day comes with our job which we love,  but the moment when Nikki’s Dad and Brother saw her for the first time, will be remembered by us for a long time to come. Moment over, we got on with the pictures!wedding-photographer-essex-rivenhall hotel At Crabbs Barn Kris and the guys had a few pictures taken before Nicola arrived.  With the Guests seated, Nicola made her entrance into the Barn for the Civil Ceremony.  After the Ceremony, Nikki and Kris led their Guests outside for the Drinks Reception. • Here in your Heart

    Here in your Heart

In trying to keep our pictures fresh, we are always looking for alternative views, sometimes they have been seen before and occasionally we find something unique!

In preparing for David’s Fellowship panel, the advice was, if possible, not to enter any of the pictures in competitions or use the pictures on our website, as when they get copied by other Photographers they start to lose their impact!

As far as we are aware this location and framing has not been used by anyone else previously, although that will undoubtedly soon change – this is where you saw it first!

  • Wedding Photography for Sally & Lee – Parklands, Quendon Hall

It was a beautiful day when we arrived at Parklands, Quendon Hall, for the Wedding of Sally and Lee.  The girls were getting ready and whilst I stayed with the girls, David went off to meet with the boys.  Having taken a few pictures of Lee, his Best Man and Ushers in the grounds of Parklands, the girls portraits were taken in the preparation rooms.  Sally and Lee chose to have an indoor Civil Ceremony and afterwards led their Guests outside for the Drinks Reception where they socialised for a little while before we got on with the requested family pictures and fun bridal party pictures.   We left the Guests to enjoy the sunshine whilst Sally and Lee joined us for a short stroll around Parklands.  With some nice pictures captured by the Lake and some walking shots it was time to go back. wedding-photographer-essex-parklands-quendon-hallWith some lovely evening light after the Wedding Breakfast, we took  Sally and Lee for a few more pictures which they wanted around Parklands, before the Evening Reception and their First Dance together, which were more than happy to do!

  • Wedding Photography for Dominique & Lea – Butley Priory, Woodbridge

Dominique and Lea chose the picturesque setting of Butley Priory as the venue for their Wedding.  When we entered the House, the first person we met happened to be Sarah, whose Wedding we photographed at The Fennes in 2011!  Hearing lots of excitement from upstairs we followed the trail!  Plenty of  space helped our job of taking the details and accessories shots, as well as capturing the events of getting ready. Once Lea had arrived with his Best Man, Michael, we took a few shots of them outside.  wedding-photographer-suffolk-butley-priory Once Dominque was ready we took the pictures of her in the room she was getting ready in before moving to the Bridal Suite and onto the landing for some family pictures. Before long it was time for Dominique to make her way down the wonderful staircase for the Ceremony.  Domique and Lea wanted an intimate Ceremony surrounded by their Family and a few of their closest friends.  After the Ceremony the Guests followed Dominique and Lee outside for a couple of confetti pictures, a few family pictures and a couple of fun Bridal Party pictures.   Everybody then enjoyed tthe Drinks Reception back in the House as it was a little chilly outdoors, this gave us the opportunity to take some informal shots while the guests relaxed. A little while later, we took Dominque and Lea for a few pictures around Butley Priory, both inside and out, with some lovely results!wedding-photographer-suffolk-butley-priory
The Speeches were before the Wedding Breakfast and we captured some great images of everybody enjoying them.  The sun’s first appearance of the day came in the early evening and grabbing the opportunity we took Dominique and Lea into the grounds around the back of Butley Priory.wedding-phoographer-essex-butley-priory Evening Guests arrived for the Evening celebrations which were held in the Marquee and where we eventually caught up with Emily and Chris, whose Wedding we photographed at Braxted Park in 2007. Later, following cake cutting and the First Dance, some pictures of their evening Guests, it was time for us to leave.  A lovely day!

  • Wedding Photography for Jo & Doug – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon

Jo and Doug chose the lovely Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon for their Wedding. Our first point of call when we arrived at Crabbs Barn was the Bridal suite where Jo was getting ready.  It was lovely to see Jo’s hairdresser, Sarah, (whose wedding we photographed in November 2011, at Prested Hall, Kelvedon) but as she was working the talk would be later on! Meanwhile, Doug and his Attendants had some pictures taken before their Guests arrived.  Having photographed Jo’s accessories and details we stepped outside for some pictures of Jo, her  Parents, Bridesmaid and Pageboys, as it was dry and bright although the clouds looked threatening.  The rain started on cue as we finished the pictures, thanks to Paul and Jack for being in the right place at the right time with the brollies!  As Jo was seeing the Registrars the rain turned to hailstones!!   Following the Civil Ceremony, the sun was out as Jo and Doug greeted their Guests during the Drinks Reception and we captured some nice informal pictures before taking the family group pictures.  We stole Jo and Doug away for a few pictures around Crabbs Barn before the Wedding Breakfast. wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn-kelvedon Coverage of Speeches followed before everybody exited the barn so it could be turned around for the eveining Reception.  With some nice evening light we took Jo and Doug for a couple of pictures at some different spots around Crabbs Barn ending in a sunset picture.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs-barn
wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn-kelvedon It was nice to see some familar faces at this Wedding and catch up during the evening.  Following some pictures of their Evening Guests and pictures of their First Dance our day ended.
