It was a very hot day when we arrived at the Premier Inn where Nina was getting ready for her Wedding. Fortunately, we found a shady area outside in the grounds for a few pictures once Nina, her Bridesmaids and Family were ready. Leaving them a short while later we met Steve at The Kings Oak Hotel, High Beach. With the beautiful Epping Forest all around us we had plenty of nice areas to take some pictures of Steve and his Best Men before the arrival of the Guests. Following the Civil Ceremony everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception before we took a few requested family group pictures under the shade of the trees in the Forest. Once the Guests returned to the Drinks Reception we kept Nina and Steve for a few portraits of them together before we returned and captured some informal pictures.
After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches by Steve, the Best Men and Nina, there was time to enjoy the evening sunshine around the Hotel. Keeping a watchful eye on the evening sun as it was going down and trying to anticipate when we should let Nina and Steve know when the best time would be for their sunset pictures, was well worth it, as we achieved some lovely results.
Some First Dance pictures and some informal pictures of Nina and Steve’s evening Guests ended our day.

Wedding Photography for Eilidh & Ben – Butley Priory, Woodbridge
It was an early arrival for the start of our Wedding Photography for Eilidh & Ben’s Wedding. Eilidh was staying at the Country Lodges at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club, with members of her family who had come down from Scotland for the Wedding. It was our first visit to the Lodges and we must say we were very impressed, contemporary, spacious and light inside with balcolnies to compliment. With final bridal preparations taking place, it was all systems go with us taking a few detail shots and just having time for a few portraits of Eilidh, Bridesmaids and Parents, before we left to go to St. George’s Church, Great Bromley, for the Service. As the Flowergirls had arrived at the Church, we took a couple of pictures of them as well as capturing Ben with his ‘Beetle’!
With the beautiful colour scheme Eilidh and Ben had chosen, a glorious day, a Piper leading Eilidh and her Father from the Lych gate into the Church, lovely pictures! After a few family photographs, it was time for the confetti pictures and to make our way to Butley Priory, Woodbridge. The Priory looked a picture in the mid-afternoon sun especially decorated with bunting in the vintage theme the couple had chosen. Eilidh, Ben and the Bridal party arrived in Camper Vans which made for some fun shots.
Everybody enjoyed the cream tea and had a relaxing time socialising as David and I photographed the many accessories and details that Eilidh and Ben had made. Afterwards, we used the coolness of the Priory for a few pictures of Eilidh and Ben. Once the Wedding Breakfast had finished Eilidh and Ben wanted a couple of pictures in the Bridal Suite and in the early evening sun around the grounds before the evening Reception, which was held in the Marquee.
With Eilidh and Ben’s first dance completed and a few informal pictures of the evening guests we squeezed in a concluding evening picture of the happy couple before departing.

Wedding Photography for Lorraine & Steve – Fennes
Lorraine and Steve held their Wedding at The Fennes Estate, Bocking. Bridal preparations were taking place when we arrived, so after capturing these pictures together with some accessory shots. With Steve and the guys having arrived at Fennes we took a few pictures of them outside the house. Back to the girls who were now ready for their portraits. Annabelle, the Flowergirl and Bobby, the Pageboy, led the way into the Pavilion for the Ceremony. During the Ceremony it rained so afterwards Lorraine, Steve and their Guests had the Drinks Reception inside. Everybody mingled in the four rooms at the front of the house whilst we took some informal pictures. After a little while we were able to go outside for a few family group pictures and took a couple of pictures of Lorraine and Steve on the bridge before we were forced to return to the house due to the weather.
Fennes provides many opportunities for photographs inside anyway so we took some photographs in the Gold Room. We were able to get outside again before the Receiving Line and this allowed us to to do some fun bridal party pictures. The Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast and Steve’s son Guy, the Best Man, delivered his speech packed with emotion. The early evening light made for some nice pictures of Lorraine and Steve together before the arrival of their Evening Guests.
Capturing images of Lorraine and Steve’s First Dance and a sunset pictures ended our coverage of their Wedding.

Here in your Heart
Here in your Heart
In trying to keep our pictures fresh, we are always looking for alternative views, sometimes they have been seen before and occasionally we find something unique!
In preparing for David’s Fellowship panel, the advice was, if possible, not to enter any of the pictures in competitions or use the pictures on our website, as when they get copied by other Photographers they start to lose their impact!
As far as we are aware this location and framing has not been used by anyone else previously, although that will undoubtedly soon change – this is where you saw it first!

Wedding Photography for Sally & Lee – Parklands, Quendon Hall
It was a beautiful day when we arrived at Parklands, Quendon Hall, for the Wedding of Sally and Lee. The girls were getting ready and whilst I stayed with the girls, David went off to meet with the boys. Having taken a few pictures of Lee, his Best Man and Ushers in the grounds of Parklands, the girls portraits were taken in the preparation rooms. Sally and Lee chose to have an indoor Civil Ceremony and afterwards led their Guests outside for the Drinks Reception where they socialised for a little while before we got on with the requested family pictures and fun bridal party pictures. We left the Guests to enjoy the sunshine whilst Sally and Lee joined us for a short stroll around Parklands. With some nice pictures captured by the Lake and some walking shots it was time to go back.
With some lovely evening light after the Wedding Breakfast, we took Sally and Lee for a few more pictures which they wanted around Parklands, before the Evening Reception and their First Dance together, which were more than happy to do!
The sunset put on a good display for us of coloured sky and Sally and Lee were delighted to be photographed with and that is where our coverage of their Wedding Day ended.

Wedding Photography for Dominique & Lea – Butley Priory, Woodbridge
Dominique and Lea chose the picturesque setting of Butley Priory as the venue for their Wedding. When we entered the House, the first person we met happened to be Sarah, whose Wedding we photographed at The Fennes in 2011! Hearing lots of excitement from upstairs we followed the trail! Plenty of space helped our job of taking the details and accessories shots, as well as capturing the events of getting ready. Once Lea had arrived with his Best Man, Michael, we took a few shots of them outside.
Once Dominque was ready we took the pictures of her in the room she was getting ready in before moving to the Bridal Suite and onto the landing for some family pictures. Before long it was time for Dominique to make her way down the wonderful staircase for the Ceremony. Domique and Lea wanted an intimate Ceremony surrounded by their Family and a few of their closest friends. After the Ceremony the Guests followed Dominique and Lee outside for a couple of confetti pictures, a few family pictures and a couple of fun Bridal Party pictures. Everybody then enjoyed tthe Drinks Reception back in the House as it was a little chilly outdoors, this gave us the opportunity to take some informal shots while the guests relaxed. A little while later, we took Dominque and Lea for a few pictures around Butley Priory, both inside and out, with some lovely results!
The Speeches were before the Wedding Breakfast and we captured some great images of everybody enjoying them. The sun’s first appearance of the day came in the early evening and grabbing the opportunity we took Dominique and Lea into the grounds around the back of Butley Priory.Evening Guests arrived for the Evening celebrations which were held in the Marquee and where we eventually caught up with Emily and Chris, whose Wedding we photographed at Braxted Park in 2007. Later, following cake cutting and the First Dance, some pictures of their evening Guests, it was time for us to leave. A lovely day!
