Photographers Atlantica Sensatori Resort Crete – Our first Destination Wedding Abroad!! Fantastic!  We have previously had to turn down several Weddings abroad due to us being already booked, so we delighted that we were able to do this one!  Danielle had seen us a couple of times at Wedding Venue Open Days, when she was going along the lines of having her Wedding in the UK.  Deciding to have her Wedding in Crete in Greece and after a few conversations with us, she booked!  We were delighted!  Danielle and Jon chose the superb Atlantica Caldera Palace Sensatori Resort in Crete for their Wedding. Photographers Atlantica Sensatori Resort Crete

We arrived a couple of days before the Wedding to familiarise ourselves with the surroundings and met with Danielle and Jon to finalise their requirements.  The Wedding day was warm but overcast rather than the perfect sunny weather we were all expecting. I covered the Bride’s preparations, whilst David photographed Jon’s preparations and his side of the family on the opposite side of the Resort. David then returned so we could work together for the Bridal Portraits.Photographers Atlantica Sensatori Resort Crete

Once these were completed and Jon had made his way to the Ceremony, Danielle followed escorted by her Dad and Bridesmaids.  The Ceremony took place under a canopy at the on site Chapel.  After the Ceremony we took a few requested family pictures, before everybody left for the Reception drinks and canapes. It wasn’t long before Danielle and Jon wanted to do some of their pictures and being spoilt for choice as to where to go we picked a few and off we went.

Shortly we returned to the Reception for the cutting of the Wedding cake and captured some relaxed images of their Guests.  The sun came out and to make the most of it the Bridesmaids, Emily, Kayleigh, Hayley, Danielle, Jon and ourselves crossed over the road to Lyttos Beach.  What a fun time we had!  Photographers Atlantica Sensatori Resort Crete

On our return and after an impromptu  ‘everybody’ picture, it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. During the Wedding Breakfast and the Speeches as well as taking pictures David and I enjoyed being a part of their special day even providing unplanned children’s entertainment for Danielle and Jon’s daughter Ava and their nephew Caleb, blowing bubbles, sticker sticking….! Our fingers were crossed for a sunset and we were not disappointed.  A sunset shot seems very popular with most of our couples and Danielle and Jon were no exception.  Back to the beach again and what brilliant results! After a very few minutes the couple returned to their Guests for their First Dance and confetti canons as everybody joined them on the dance floor.  Our job was not finished yet as Sensatori Resort looked wonderful at night and to finish the picture coverage we suggested some pictures by the illuminated pools.

Then it was time to party, and we certainly did! Danielle and Jon, you are a lovely couple, thank you so very much for making us so welcome at your Wedding, being so easy and co-operative and above all wanting to do these pictures!  Thank you to their Guests as well, what a lovely family.  A fantastic Wedding we really enjoyed being Photographers Atlantica Sensatori Resort, Crete!

  • Wedding Photography Hunters Meet, Hatfield Heath, for Mel & Ollie

Wedding Photography Hunters Meet – It was a wet start when we travelled to Mel and Ollie’s house for Mel’s final bridal preparations. When we arrived Mel was having the finishing touches to her hair and make-up, giving us time to photograph the details and accessories.  Once Mel was ready, a few pictures were taken of Mel and her Bridesmaids inside as it was still rather wet outside.  As luck would have it, when we were ready to leave for the Church, it had stopped raining and the sky was brighter.Essex Wedding Photographer

St Mary The Virgin Church, Debden was where we met Ollie and his Groomsmen and managed to get a few pictures of all of them before they continued to carry out their duties.   It wasn’t long before Mel and her Mother arrived in her Grandad’s classic Austin car and after a couple of pictures they entered the Church.

Following the service Mel and Ollie spent a few minutes talking to their Guests, then it was time to quickly get on with the requested family pictures as the clouds were threatening more rain.  Confetti followed the photographs before we all left for the Reception. Wedding Photographer Essex

When Mel and Ollie arrived at Hunters Meet Hotel, the Austin was driven into the Garden where their racing Mini car was, so they could have some special pictures taken. Making sure Mel and Ollie spent some time with their Guests, we spent our time getting some informal pictures.  Although the weather was fine the rain clouds were on their way again!  We took Mel and Ollie for their pictures, taking some other small group pictures before the ‘everybody’ shot was a good move.  No sooner as we had finished our last picture, the rain started!  How fortunate they were!  The heavens opened and continued for some time. With everybody inside it was time for the Wedding Breakfast followed by the Speeches before the evening Reception.  Later Mel and Ollie’s Evening Guests arrived and just before their First Dance we went onto Hatfield Heath itself for a few evening images, not quite the sunset we hoped for but a little colour in the clouds made up for it.  Essex Wedding Photographers

Our coverage of Mel and Ollie’s Wedding Day finished a little while later.

  • Wedding Photography Prested Hall Feering Essex for Sarah and Adam

Prested Hall, Feering looked a picture in the glorious sunshine, when we arrived for Sarah and Adam’s Wedding. Before the Guests started to arrive we took a couple of pictures of Adam with his Best Man and Usher.  With Sarah and the girls  ready we took a few  portraits of them together with Sarah and Adam’s daughter Charlotte, who was the Flowergirl.  After seeing the Registrars, Sarah took her Mother’s arm and entered The Garden Room for the Civil Ceremony.  Afterwards everybody went outside and enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the beautiful sunshine.  After a few minutes, Sarah and Adam wanted to get out of the sun (so did we!) so it was an opportunity for us to go with them to the far side of Prested Hall under the weeping willows, where it was somewhat cooler.

    Wedding Photographer Prested Hall Essex

After leaving them to talk to each other for a few minutes we then took a few pictures under the willow before going over the Prested Hall bridge for a few shots with the hall behind them, before returning to the Drinks Reception. Later we caught up on a few requested close family shots and a few fun pictures.  As our coverage was only up to the Wedding Breakfast we made sure we took a couple of  posed pictures of Sarah and Adam with their wedding cake in The Orangery. After the Guests were seated Sarah and Adam made their entrance and took their place for the meal to begin.

  • Testimonial for Crabbs Barn wedding photographer

Testimonial for Crabbs Barn wedding photographer!

    Hi David and Sandra,

Hope all’s good with you – Craig and I are just back from honeymoon, and wanted to drop you a quick email to say thankyou for everything you did for the photography at our wedding 🙂 We really appreciated how much time you spent with us on the day and made it all fun – quite a few people commented on how attentive you were to us, and how great it was that you knew exactly how to position everyone to get the photos (although me and Craig both noticed we weren’t all that great at following your instructions by the time we got to the sunset shoot and had got through a few drinks!). Can’t wait to see the photos!

    Thanks,
    Hannah & Craig

    Hi David and Sandra,

Thanks so much for the parcel! We opened it last night and spent all evening looking through the photos, they’re sooooooo lovely!! THANK YOU!

    Thanks,

    Hannah

  • The Waterfront Dovercourt – Wedding Photography for Rebecca & Andrew

The Waterfront Dovercourt, is a new Wedding Venue for us and we were looking forward to Rebecca and Andrew’s Wedding with great anticipation.  Rebecca and Andrew originally wanted to book us for their Wedding on a different date but we were already booked, so they moved their date to one we could do! The pressure was on!  We arrived at Rebecca’s Parents’ house on the morning of the Wedding,  just before Rebecca returned from the Hairdressers.  With all of Rebecca’s accessories laid out we got on and photographed them for their book.  Rebecca’s Mum and Sister helped her get dressed and we captured some nice moment shots when the Flowergirls, Katelyn and Rebecca, and Pageboy, Reuben, saw Rebecca in her Wedding Dress.  Time was evaporating very quickly but we managed to take a few family pictures before leaving for the Church.

All Saints Church, Dovercourt was where Rebecca and Andrew were to be married.  Andrew, his Best Man and Ushers were busy with their duties but we managed to take a few pictures of them before taking some pictures of the Wedding Guests arriving.Essex Wedding Photographer

With everybody inside the Church, it was not long before Rebecca arrived.  Following the service we arranged some family group portraits  in the church grounds.  It was a beautifully hot day but we made sure we didn’t keep everybody standing around for any more time than was necessary for the photographs.  After the confetti pictures, Rebecca and Andrew and their guests, left for the Wedding Reception at The Waterfront Dovercourt.

    Essex Wedding Photographer

After a couple of pictures with the car outside the Venue, Rebecca and Andrew went inside to get a break from the sun and to greet their Guests during the Drinks Reception. Their Guests were entertained by George, The Wedding Artist, a Caricaturist, who was superb!   After a little while Rebecca, Andrew and the Bridal Party crossed the road to the beach and we took a few fun pictures and a couple of Rebecca and Andrew by themselves.

Rebecca and Andrew greeted their Guests in the Receiving Line before the Wedding Breakfast.  The Speeches followed and after that there was an interval before the evening Reception. Wedding Photograher Essex

It was during this time we took Rebecca and Andrew for a few more pictures before the evening Guests arrived and before the First Dance.  Wow!  What a fantastic rehearsed First Dance! Letting us in on their secret we provided them with some fabulous images! In our planning with Rebecca and Andrew before the day they requested a sunset picture at Harwich Pier which would be after the First Dance. We made sure our car had had a good clean, as that was the transportation to the Pier! We wanted these pictures as much as Rebecca and Andrew and thankfully neither of us were disappointed! In next to no time we were back to The Waterfront. Wedding Photographer Essex

A little while later it was time to say goodbye.  A lovely couple and thank you Rebecca and Andrew for inviting us to be part of your wonderful day.  As for The Waterfront Dovercourt it is a very nice new venue with friendly staff and we look forward to working there again.

  • Parklands Wedding Photography for Siri & Shaf

Parklands Wedding Photography – Siri and Shaf chose the poplar and superb Wedding Venue, Parklands, Quendon Hall, for their Wedding.  Our day started at Parklands, where all the preparations were underway. Siri with her family and Bridesmaids were upstairs in the  Bridal changing room whilst Shaf, his family and Groomsmen were also getting ready in another room and once they were ready, we took them outside for a few pictures. As Siri had the final touches applied for her make-up, a few pictures were taken of her before all the girls transferred to Room 1 for a few more pictures.  Loving this room, with so much more space, we were able to take some nice pictures formally as well as capturing some nice informal images. Wedding Photographer EssexEssex Wedding Photographer Soon it was time for the Bridesmaids to lead Siri and her Father down the staircase, through Parklands and into the Pavilion for the Civil Ceremony.  Following the Ceremony, Siri and Shaf were showered in confetti as they left the Marquee and led their Guests through to the Banqueting Hall for the Drinks Reception and Canapes.

    Wedding Photographer Essex

With it being a nice day Guests made their way outside enjoying the grounds whilst socialising. After giving Siri and Shaf some time with their Guests it was time to get on with the requested family pictures.  We were extremely grateful for the help from Shaf’s brother, who was the Best Man, and Shaf’s Usher, as well as the co-operation of all Siri and Shaf’s Guests with the group pictures.  All of us working together, brilliant!  After the fun Bridal Party pictures, it was time for Siri and Shaf’s together pictures around the grounds of Parklands, finishing by the field with the oil seed rape.

Siri tossed her bouquet when we returned and shortly afterwards, Siri and Shaf  changed into traditional Asian dress and we took a few pictures of them together.  Once their Wedding Guests had made their way back into the Pavilion they made their entrance.  Before they took their places for the meal they took part in a few traditional Sri Lankan games followed by the cutting of their Wedding cake.  We photographed the Speeches later and traditional ceremony games and captured some great images. Before the evening celebrations really began, we managed to take Siri and Shaf for a couple of evening pictures before returning for the dancing.  The Marquee looked fabulous as the couple took to dance floor for the First Dance, quickly joined by everybody else.  A spectacular scene! 140509-Siri-Shaf-w6  Essex Wedding Photos

Colourful, lots going on, a superb Bride and Groom, a fabulous day!  Siri looked lovely and Shaf didn’t look bad either!

  • Wedding Photography Fennes for Natalie & Matthew

Wedding Photography Fennes for Natalie and Matthew – It was a beautiful day when we arrived at Fennes, Bocking, for the Wedding of Natalie and Matthew.  Preparations were going well with the girls and all things were running smoothly.  The Fennes Estate looked superb and when Matthew and his Groomsmen arrived we took advantage of the setting for their pictures.  Once the girls were ready, we took a few portraits before it was time for the Civil Ceremony.  Wedding Photographer EssexNatalie and Matthew chose to have their Wedding Ceremony in the Pavilion, which as usual looked lovely. Afterwards, everybody made their way outside at the front of Fennes for the Drinks Reception. After the requested family group pictures were taken, the Guests were left to  enjoy the Drinks Reception for a few minutes in the warm sunshine, while we took Natalie and Matthew for their pictures.  Essex Wedding PhotographerUsing the remaining bluebells for some of their together pictures worked very well before they returned to join the guests.  Wedding Photography EssexWith a few fun Bridal Party pictures done, it was then time for the Receiving Line and the Wedding Breakfast.  After the speeches there was enough time before the Evening Reception for us to take some images of Natalie and Matthew in the Gold Room and by the Bridal Cottage.  With their Evening Guests arriving we took a few informal pictures of them before and after the First Dance. We finished our coverage of Natalie and Matthew’s Wedding with a sunset picture  and one under the illuminated pergola.Essex Wedding PhotographyWedding Photographer Essex

  • Wedding Photography Friern Manor, Dunton, for Laura & David

Before we could do the Wedding Photography at Friern Manor, our first port of call on the morning of Laura and David’s Wedding was arriving at Laura’s Parents’ house.  Following the trail of excitement led us us up two flights of stairs to the room where Laura was getting ready.  A lovely room, with the added natural light from the skylight and a view to the church.  That said, with Laura, her Bridesmaids, her Mum, Make-up Artists, David from Rideout and ourselves, it was a touch busy and tight at times!Friern Manor, Essex wedding photographer

After capturing the getting ready pictures the girls put on their dresses and assisted Laura with hers.  Laura’s Bridal portraits and family pictures were taken downstairs and we just had enough time to take a few pictures outside with the Bridesmaids and the car.  St Andrew’s Church, Hornchurch was where Laura and David were to be married and David and his Groomsmen arrived shortly after us.  With a few pictures of all of them taken, we left them to greet the Wedding Guests whilst we took some candid pictures. Not long after, Laura arrived and made her entrance into the Church. Friern Manor, Essex wedding photos

Essex wedding photographers Friern ManorAfter the service we took a few group pictures before taking Laura and David for a very quick walk around the back of the Church for a couple of pictures with the cherry blossom and lilac trees, which provided the backdrop.  As Laura and David walked down the path from the church they were showered in confetti and a little while later left for the Reception.  Photos Friern ManorSo far we had escaped the showers but not taking chances as soon as the guests had arrived at Friern Manor we got on with the remaining pictures so  Laura and David still had time to greet their Guests during the Drinks Reception.Essex wedding photography Friern ManorIt was soon time for the Wedding Breakfast and the Speeches.  Unfortunately, during the Speeches, the heavens opened, a couple of evening pictures we had planned to do after were scuppered.  Being determined to get something though, we found a dry area outside for a couple of evening pictures. Then Laura and David cut their Wedding cake before their First Dance.  A nice rewarding day!     Documentry wedding photography
