    Barnardiston School wedding – Sophie-Jane & Christopher

It was an early start for Sophie-Jane & Chris’ summer ceremony at Withersfield Church and Barnardiston School wedding reception in Suffolk.  We arrived at Sophie-Jane’s Parents house where all the preparations were happening for Sophie, the Bridesmaids, Flowergirl and Pageboys.  Hair and Make up preparations were going well and whilst this was taking place, we capturing the moments, as well as taking pictures of Sophie-Jane’s Dress and Accessories. It was a beautiful day, really hot but fortunately we found a shady spot in the garden for a few pictures. Taking a few pictures of them all  we then left them to go to St Mary the Virgin Church at Withersfield. Chris arrived on his Dad’s tractor so after taking a couple of pictures and his Groomsmen, they made their way into the Church.Wedding Photography Suffolk As the Guests arrived we took some arrival pictures.  Sophie-Jane arrived a little while later and with all the Guests inside the Church made her way into the Church for the service. Following the service, Sophie-Jane and Chris led their Wedding Guests out of the Church into the brilliant sunshine for a few requested pictures.  Once these were completed the Guests lined the path and showered Sophie-Jane and Chris with confetti as they walked  towards the car. Suffolk Church Wedding Photographer Barnardiston School was the venue for the Reception.  Whilst waiting for all of the Guests to arrive we took Sophie-Jane and Chris for a walk around the grounds finishing with a few pictures in the School, which holds fond memories for Sophie.Barnardiston School wedding Later, after Sophie-Jane and Chris had time to socialise with their Guests we got on with taking the requested family pictures. With garden games, and  a Bouncy Castle everybody enjoyed  the afternoon sun.  The Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast. Some of the Guests, especially the children, wanted their pictures taken in the tractor which we were happy to take. The evening Guests started to arrive and soon it was time for the cake cutting and First Dance. The best place for a sunset picture was in a nearby cornfield just up the road and Sophie-Jane and Chris were more than happy to get in our car and off we went.  It was worth it! sunset Wedding Photos SuffolkHappy with our coverage  a short time later we said our goodbyes. Thanks to Sally of Splinters Catering for looking after us so well. A lovely day!

Wedding Photography Spains Hall for Lucy & Steve

It was nice to be asked to photograph Lucy and Steve’s Wedding at Spains Hall, Finchingfield. On arrival at Spains Hall, after saying ‘hello’ to Lucy who was getting ready in the Tapestry Room, David went off to find the men.  Steve, his Best Man, Ushers and Parents were in Crest Lodge.  Steve’s final preparations were going well as were Lucy’s.  The Flowergirls, Rebecca and Amelia, Lucy and Steve’s daughter, were enjoying getting ready and giving a helping hand.  When the men were ready, they had a few pictures taken in the garden before walking over to the House for the Ceremony. Wedding Photographs Spains Hall Essex With Lucy dressed, looking lovely, and everybody else ready, Lucy’s Dad joined them for some pictures.  After we had taken the Bridal portraits of Lucy, it was time to go down the stairs for Luct to meet with the Registrars.  The Wedding Guests were seated in the Elizabethan Hall awaiting the Ceremony. The Flowergirls led the way into the Hall followed by Lianne, the Bridesmaid and finally Lucy and her Dad.  After all the formalities were completed, Lucy and Steve exited the room had a few minutes to themselves whilst the Guests were handed confetti and went outside. Spains Hall Wedding Photos Lucy and Steve were covered in confetti as they made their way into the grounds surrounding Spains Hall.   The happy couple then greeted their Guests during the Drinks Reception before we got on with the requested family photos. It was a glorious day, so hot, but we managed to take some fun bridal party pictures in next to no time and take Lucy and Steve for a few minutes around the grounds for their pictures.Wedding Photography Spains Hall Just before the Wedding Breakfast there was time for the ‘everybody’ shot in front of the Hall before they made their way over to the Stables.  The Speeches followed the meal. While the room was prepared for the evening, the  Guests enjoyed the evening sunshine, relaxing and participating in the garden games. Amelia, Rebecca and the other children had fun running around as well.  During the evening we took some informal pictures of the evening Guests.  As it was now cooler we took Lucy and Steve for a few minutes along the driveway for some evening pictures before re-joining their Guests.  With the turnaround complete everybody made their way back into the room for the evening celebrations to begin, starting with the First Dance, then it was the party! A beautiful day, a beautiful sunset to finish! Wedding Photography Fennes – Gemma & Dan

Fennes is one of the most popular and also one of our favourite Wedding Venues. This was where Gemma and Dan chose to have their Wedding. When we arrived at Fennes, it was raining, so unfortunately the planned outside Ceremony looked highly unlikely!  Gemma was getting ready upstairs and preparations were going well.  Meanwhile, Dan was getting ready in the Bridal cottage with his Best Man and Ushers.  For Dan’s pictures the rain had stopped so we went outside for their pictures.  Excitement was building upstairs as the Bridesmaids were getting their dresses on, followed by Gemma getting dressed.  Gemma looked lovely and once ready we took a few classic pictures.Wedding Photography Fennes Recommended After Gemma and Dan had seen the Registrars, with the Wedding Guests seated, it was time for the Ceremony in the Pavilion which looked perfect.  Beautiful singing by Gemma’s Mum, Lynn, and sister, Charlotte, added to the celebration.  Afterwards, Gemma and Dan left the Pavilion and made their way outside with their Guests following them.  During the Drinks Reception we took the requested family pictures as well as some informal shots.  The bridge and Gazebo provided the setting for some of Gemma and Dan’s ‘together’ pictures before the confetti pictures in the Gold Room.Wedding Photographer Fennes We were hedging our bets for more pictures later together with the weather improving. The Wedding Breakfast was then served followed by the Speeches.  The sun was now out so after taking some fun Bridal party pictures, there was time to go and take a walk around the grounds of Fennes, which Gemma and Dan wanted to do. Fennes Wedding PhotographerThe evening guests were starting to arrive and mingle with the day guests.  The children were having fun on the Bouncy Castle and some of their Guests were relaxing in the evening sunshine. Later Gemma and Dan took to the dance floor for their First Dance, to be joined by their parents and Guests.  As the sun was going, we couldn’t miss that!Essex Wedding Photographer Fennes heart shotA nice ending to a lovely day!  Thank you to Nicola and all at Fennes as always.

  • Wedding Photography Gosfield Hall – Sarah & Kevin

    Wedding Photography Gosfield Hall

It was a beautiful day for Sarah and Kevin’s  Wedding at the stunning Gosfield Hall. Sarah was upstairs getting ready in the Rococco Suite when we arrived, whilst Kevin  was arriving with his Groomsmen.  Whilst Kevin made his way upstairs to get ready David took various pictures around Gosfield Hall and of the men getting ready, whilst I stayed with the girls.  The Rococco Suite was a hive of activity, not just with the girls getting ready but with the Pageboys too. Kevin and his Groomsmen were getting ready at Gosfield Hall as well and once they were ready they had a few pictures taken. Wedding photography Gosfield Hall  The Rococco Suite provides a wonderful setting for pictures, both formal and informal, and today was no exception.  After Sarah’s Dad had seen her, it was time for the Registrars to see her before the Ceremony. Once the Wedding Guests were all seated in the Queen’s Gallery, it was time for Sarah to be escorted by her Dad along the corridor and into the Ceremony Room.  Following the Ceremony Sarah and Kevin made their way down the staircase and into the Courtyard with their Guests behind them. Wedding Photographer Essex Gosfield Hall  Enjoying the Drinks Reception in the sunshine, Sarah and Kevin spent a little time with their Guests . We then took them for a quick walk around Gosfield Hall for a few of their ‘together’pictures.Gosfield Hall Wedding PhotographerSarah and Kevin were showered in confetti upon their return as they walked under the Bell Tower and into the Courtyard.  For the family group pictures everybody   made their way to the lawn by the fountain. It was soon time for the Receiving Line, followed by the Wedding Breakfast.  The Speeches followed, with Guests surprised at a Speech delivered by Callum, Sarah and Kevin’s son.  Afterwards, everybody relaxed in the rooms and in the grounds of Gosfield Hall before the evening celebrations.  Being such a lovely evening, the light was better and it wasn’t as hot, we were able to escape to take a few relaxed pictures of Sarah and Kevin.  The cake cutting was before the First Dance . • Reid Rooms Wedding Photography for Louise & Stephen

    Reid Rooms Wedding Photography

Our day started at Louise’s Parents’ house for the bridal preparations. We took a few pictures of Louise’s dress and accessories whilst capturing the ‘getting ready’ pictures. Once everybody was ready we took a few posed photos of them inside as it was drizzling outside. We left Louise to go and meet Stephen at The Holy Name Church, which they had chosen for their wedding.  Guests were starting to arrive at the Church as we got there but we managed to take Stephen, his Best Man and Ushers for a few pictures in between the flow of guests! The rain had stopped and as Louise arrived the skies were brightening which was good timing! Louise took her Father’s arm and they made their way into the Church. This lovely light Church with a Balcony allowed us to get a variety of pictures during the service from different angles.

Chelmsford Wedding PhotographerLouise and Stephen exited the Church and exchanged a few words with their Guests, before we arranged the requested family group pictures.  The  Guests threw confetti over Louise the happy couple as they left the churchyard heading to the Reception. The Reid Rooms was where the Reception was held and as always looked a picture.  Whilst waiting for all their Guests to arrive at the Reid Rooms, we took Louise and Stephen for a few of their ‘together’ pictures. Reid Rooms Wedding Photography Louise and Stephen then joined their Guests in the Courtyard for the Drinks Reception. Being a warm afternoon, everyone enjoyed socialising outside whilst we took some informal pictures. Reid Rooms Wedding Photographer informal pictures During the afternoon we took a few fun pictures of the Bridal party.  The Wedding Breakfast beckoned and everyone entered the Dining Room for this to commence. Same-Sex Wedding Photography – Stock Brook Manor for Kate & Lorna

We were looking forward to Kate & Lorna’s marriage, this being our first same-sex Wedding Photography.  It was a bright, dry but windy day when we arrived at the Hotel for some preparation shots of Kate and Lorna. With lots going on together with lots of people, David and I had our work cut out capturing the key moments as they happened! TDH Media were on hand as well videoing and putting together the Marryoke. Kate was the first to be ready to leave the Hotel with some of the Bridesmaids and head off to Stock Brook Manor, Essex.  Time was getting short so we took our  final preparation images of Lorna and made our way to Stock Brook.  Whilst waiting for Lorna to arrive we had time to catch up with Kate for a few pictures.  Once Lorna arrived and after taking a few pictures of her it was time for the Ceremony.  With the Guests seated for the Ceremony, the girls took their Dads’ arm and made their separate way to the Rosewood Suite.  Kate was the first to enter the room from the side door and made her way to the front of the room. Then Lorna made her entrance from the back of the room to join Kate.Stock Brook Manor Wedding PhotographerAfter exchanging their vows and now married, Kate and Lorna led their Guests outside onto the patio behind Stock Brook Manor for the Drinks Reception. Essex Wedding Photographer Same-sex Weddings Whilst everybody was socialising we captured some informal pictures before the requested family photos.  We found a sheltered spot for these and despite the wind playing havoc we took a variety of pictures elsewhere during the afternoon. Same-Sex Wedding Photography EssexThe Wedding Breakfast was upstairs in the Banqueting Suite.  Wow!  It looked amazing! Once all the wedding guests were seated, Kate and Lorna took their places on the top table for the start of the Wedding Breakfast.  Soon it was time for the Speeches and as they finished it was a quick dash to get the sunset. Well worth it!  Nice pictures as well as good fun!Stock Brook Manor Same-sex Wedding Essex Returning to their Guests, Kate and Lorna then cut the Wedding cake before their First Dance.  After capturing a flavour of the evening entertainment, it was time for us to leave and let them continue with the celebrations.  A great day!

  • Wedding Photography Parklands, Quendon Hall – Jessica & George

    Wedding Photography Parklands

A beautifully, extremely warm spring day for Jessica and George’s Wedding Day at Parklands, Quendon Ha,ll in the north of Essex.  Our coverage started upstairs in the Bride’s changing room where it was all happening!  Sam, www.beautiful-you.biz, was doing the make up and Tina, www.beautifulhair4weddings.co.uk was doing the hair, so some nice images were captured.

Wedding Photography ParklandsWith pictures of other details and accessories taken it was soon time to move to Room l.  Whilst this was happening, George, his Best Man and Ushers were having their pictures taken in front of the House out of sight.   Some of the Guests as they arrived enjoyed mingling in the sunshine in the grounds of Parklands. When Jessica was ready we took a few pictures of her and her with her Mother and Bridesmaids.  It was soon time for the outside Ceremony.  Jessica, looking so elegant, made her way down the stairs with the Bridesmaids leading the way. With the Guests seated it was time for the Ceremony. It was at this point, the wind decided to play havoc with Jessica’s veil!  Parklands Quendon Hall Recommended Wedding PhotographerAfter the Ceremony the Wedding Guests followed Jessica and George to the Drinks Reception in the grounds.  For a little while Jessica and George socialised with their Guests whilst we captured some less formal images. Some requested family pictures followed,  and we were assisted by Glen Mayes, the Toastmaster.  We managed to take Jessica and George for a short time around the grounds of Parklands and to the lake for their pictures and do some bridal part fun shots before the Receiving Line.Parklands Quendon Hall Wedding Photographer The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Banqueting Suite followed by the Speeches.  Once these were finished, many of the Guests retreated outside to enjoy the warmth of the evening sunshine. • Stock Brook Manor Wedding Photography – Jane & Geoff

    Stock Brook Manor Wedding Photography

It was a windy but a bright dry day for Jane and Geoff’s Wedding at Stock Brook Manor.  Jane’s final bridal preparations were taking place upstairs at Stock Brook, which is where we found her with her Daughter, Nicki, Son, Dan and Granddaughter, Mikayla. Whilst I was capturing a few informal pictures upstairs, Geoff was having his pictures taken downstairs by David.  In between times Geoff was welcoming the Guests. We took a few pictures of Jane and her family, as Geoff and the Wedding Guests made their way into the Garden Room for the Ceremony.  Jane took Dan’s arm, with Mikayla leading the way, they walked into the Ceremony Room. Stock Brook Manor Wedding PhotographyAfter the Ceremony, everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception inside. We found the most sheltered spot from the wind to take  Jane & Geoff’s requested groups pictures.  The reactions they caused will be remembered! Good fun! Jane and Geoff then re-joined their Guests to continue the Drinks Reception, allowing us to capture some informal pictures.  Jane and Geoff wanted to spend as much time as possible with their Guests but we did manage to steal them away for a few minutes for their ‘together’ pictures. Ted Prior the Toastmaster organised the Receiving Line before the start of the Wedding Breakfast in the Rosewood Suite. The Speeches provided us with some good images and after taking some informal pictures later, it was time for us to leave. A lovely day of Stock Brook Manor wedding photography.
