  • Bride in tears after receiving wedding photos!

Bride in tears after receiving wedding photos!

“we received them- they are amazing i cried my eyes out! as did my family!”

Thankfully these are the type of tears we want, tears of joy!! We hear so many stories of Brides who used inexperienced or ‘budget’ photographers and didn’t get the happy memories of their big day. That’s not to say that we are perfect! However, with approaching 2000 weddings of experience there is pretty good chance of us providing you with the service you expect!

All the sample pictures on this site were taken by either myself or Sandra and all at real live weddings. All our sample albums are from individual weddings, not just a collection of the best pictures over a period. Photographing a couple dressed in wedding attire but not on a wedding day, can result in some fantastic pictures, they are  however, not wedding pictures! Do check with your intended photographer exactly what you are looking at. How much experience have they got photographing weddings?

    Wedding Photographer Prested Hall

Sue and Mark’s home was where we started our coverage of their Wedding. We took the details and accessory shots together with a few getting ready picture, before they were all dressed.

Essex Wedding Photographer Not long after we left to go to Prested Hall, Feering. Mark was there with his son, Finley and Best Man, Ian, so before they got busy with greeting the Guests we took a few pictures of them.  Sue arrived early at Prested Hall with her sons, Ben and Jack. Making the most of the time and nice weather,we took a few pictures in and outside the Dingle.  When it was time they walked over to Prested Hall.  After seeing the Registrars, Sue, escorted by her sons made her way into the Orangery and down the aisle for the Ceremony. Once the formalities were completed Sue and Mark walked out of the Orangery and into the Lounge area. After getting a drink, people went outside.  During the afternoon we took a few requested family group pictures, confetti and informal pictures.  Allowing time for Sue and Mark to speak to their Guests and enjoy the Drinks Reception, we still had time to take them off for a short walk around the grounds. Wedding Photographer Prested Hall After taking some relaxed and  pictures of the children it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Essex Wedding Photographer Prested Hall Sue and Mark chose to have their Speeches after the main course, which we were on hand to cover. After the finish of the Wedding Breakfast, the Guests had time to wander around the grounds or just relax and catch up with each other over coffee.  The Orangery had been transformed for the the evening’s entertainment.  Sue and Mark’s evening Guests had arrived so after the cake cutting, they had their First Dance together. 1897- 8 Not having a sunset to finish their day, we made sure of a few night pictures for them.  A lovely day and once again it’s great to be a Prested Hall Wedding Photographer!

Wedding Photography Fennes – Hollie and Chris

It was a windy but dry and warm day for Hollie and Chris’ Summer Wedding at Fennes.  Hollie and Chris wanted to have an outdoor Civil Ceremony at Fennes and their wish came true.  Hollie and her Bridesmaids were getting ready in the house whilst Chris and his Groomsmen were getting ready in the Lodges.  When Chris was ready he had some pictures taken. Meanwhile, Hollie and her Bridesmaids were getting dressed, so they were ready for their pictures. Soon it was time for Hollie to go and see the Registrars before the start of the Ceremony.  The Bridesmaids then led the way outside, followed by Hollie and her Father. Wedding Photography Fennes After the Ceremony, Hollie and Chris spent a little time with their Guests before the arranged pictures.  We changed the planned location for the requested family pictures closer to the guitarist, as the wind had got up, making it hard for the guests hear him play.  The Guests carried on enjoying the Drinks Reception whilst we took Hollie and Chris for a short walk around the grounds for their ‘together’ pictures.  Fennes Recommended Wedding PhotographerBefore the Wedding Breakfast we did an ‘everybody’ heart shot.  Thank you to Sue from Fennes for helping us to achieve this so speedily! Fennes Wedding PhotographerEveryone then made their way into the Pavilion for the Wedding Breakfast.  The Speeches took place before the meal so they could all enjoy the meal without pressure!  Afterwards and before the evening Guests arrived we took a few pictures of Hollie and Chris in the Gold Room and Red Room. The cake cutting was before Hollie and Chris took to the dance floor for their First  Dance together.Recommended Wedding Photographer Fennes Capturing a lovely sunset picture for Hollie and Chris completed our coverage of their Wedding.

    wedding sparklers photos

Wedding sparklers photos and fireworks are increasingly popular, particularly at this time of year!  We are always happy to add some of these to your wedding. They are a great way to make a wow end to the wedding book or canvas for the wall.

For a great fireworks display we recommend Dynamic Fireworks who we have worked with many times with both full displays and low noise shows.

  • Marquee Wedding Suffolk

    Marquee Wedding Suffolk

It was a beautiful day for Helen and Jamie’s  Church and Marque Wedding.  Our first port of call was to Helen and Jamie’s home for some getting ready pictures. Whilst Helen was having the final touches applied to her make-up and hair we got on with taking detail and accessories pictures.  Once Helen was ready we took a couple of bridal portraits then a couple of pictures with her Parents before leaving. St Edmund’s Church, Assington was the place where the Church service for Helen and Jamie’s chose to get married.  With the sun shining brightly the flowers over the gateway to the Church enhanced the picturesque scene. Guests were beginning to arrive so we took  a few pictures of Jamie, his Best Man and Ushers, followed by a couple of requested pictures.Marquee Wedding Suffolk Whilst the Guests made their way into the Church, Anna, their Flowergirl waited outside for Helen to arrive.  Helen arrived in a white Morgan driven by her Father and after a couple of pictures walked up the path to the Church. Anna led the way into the Church sprinkling flower petals as she went, followed by Helen escorted by her Father.  After the service we took a few family pictures before the Guests threw confetti over Helen and Jamie as they reached the gateway.  Helen and Jamie wanted to have a few pictures of themselves in the Church before leaving, so their Guests left to go the Reception. Suffolk Wedding PhotographerJamie then drove the car to the Woods where we created some nice pictures of the two of them. Marquee Wedding Colchester It wasn’t long before we all joined the Guests at Jamie’s Parents’home for the Reception.  Their Guests were relaxing in the garden so we captured the images before the Wedding  Breakfast in the Marquee. We returned after the Wedding Breakfast to take a few informal pictures of the evening celebrations, including the First Dance.  A stroll down the road and into a field for a splendid sunset picture concluded our coverage of Helen and Jamie’s summer Wedding.  A wonderful day!

  • Fennes Wedding Photography Jenna & James

Fennes Wedding Photography -Jenna & James

The popular Fennes was the chosen Wedding Venue for Jenna and James’ Wedding. On arrival at Fennes  the sound of fun and laughter greeted us!  Preparations were going well and everybody was having a nice time getting ready.  The girls were in the Bridal Suite whilst the guys were keeping out of the way getting ready in one of the bedrooms.  Jenna was so relaxed, giving a helping hand to everybody, sorting herself out in between!  Once James, his Best Man and Ushers were ready they went downstairs for some pictures.  Unfortunately, it was raining but they were able to stand on the steps outside in the dry, whilst David got wet! The men stayed downstairs then and greeted the Guests as they arrived.  When Jenna, looking wonderful, and the girls were ready we took a few portrait pictures of them all, then took Jenna onto the landing for a couple of Bridal shots.

Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer  The Guests made their way into the Pavilion for the Ceremony and after seeing the Registrars, Jenna took her Father’s arm and they made their way to the Pavilion.  After the ceremony Jenna and James led their Guests back through the house to the front where the Drinks Reception. We were prepared for doing the photography in the Gold Room as there wasn’t any prospect of the weather improving. With lots of Guests, Videographers and ourselves, it was busy, but we were really pleased with how smoothly this went.Fennes Wedding Photographer A huge ‘thank you’ goes to the Guests for their co-operation. Later on as we were still unable to venture outside other than on the steps, we took a couple of pictures in the Library before the confetti pictures in the Gold Room.Fennes Wedding Photography Soon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast.  The Speeches followed and as a surprise, Molllie, one of their Bridesmaids sung a song for Jenna and James. Another surprise followed!  A break in the weather!  We couldn’t believe it, nor could anybody else! Without further ado, we were on our way outside for some bridge pictures.  Not pushing our luck we took some pictures in the minimum of time on the bridge, using the gazebo as well.  We persuaded all the guests to come outside so that Jenna & James could have a big group picture.  As they returned to the Pavilion we took a few pictures of Jenna and James in the house before the start of the evening reception. The cutting of the Wedding Cake was followed by the throwing of the bouquet.  Jenna and James took to the floor for their First Dance.  The happy couple planned for some sparkler pictures which we did just with the two of them before it rained too hard, again!  These pictures ended our coverage of Jenna and James’ Wedding. Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer Thank you Jenna and James for smiling constantly throughout your day, you are a lovely couple,  some wonderful pictures we hope you are pleased with. For us another great day of Fennes Wedding Photography!

Wedding Photography Fennes – Stephen & Richard

It was a lovely day for the Wedding of Stephen and Richard at Fennes. When we arrived at The Fennes Estate on the morning of the Wedding Stephen was getting ready in the cottage and Richard was getting ready  upstairs in the House.  Stephen and Richard chose to have one best man each and one best woman each to help them with all the preparations and what a good job they did! Once ready they had a few pictures taken of themselves together with their friends, before it was time for seeing the Registrars in the Library.

Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer Richard and Stephen chose to meet in the Library before going to the Ceremony in the Pavilion. When it was time the Best Men and Best Women led the way, followed by Stephen and his Mother Linda and Richard with his Mother, Mary. Wedding Photography Fennes After the Ceremony, the Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception outside, whilst Richard and Stephen had a few moments together.  They soon made their way outside, cheered by their Guests and joined them for Drinks. Richard and Stephen enjoyed relaxing and socialising for a little while whilst we were on hand to capture the moments.  During the afternoon we took some requested groups and relaxed fun pictures. There was time later for a short walk around the wonderful grounds of Fennes for Stephen and Richard’s together pictures. After the confetti pictures it was time for the Weddding Breakfast.  Following the meal the Speeches began.  Rukan, Richard’s Best Woman, started off the Speeches and introduced those following. Naomi, Stephen’s Best Woman completed the round of Speeches in her great theatrical style! Brilliant reactions! Gay Wedding Photographer EssexThere was a little time before the evening Guests arrived, so Stephen, Richard and ourselves went to the front of the house for some pictures.  The evening celebrations began with the cake cutting, then Stephen and Richard took to the dance floor.  Our final coverage of the guys’ Wedding was a sunset picture.Fennes Wedding Photographer Gay Weddings Thank you Stephen and Richard for asking us to photograph your Wedding, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Anita and Steve couldn’t have asked for a better day for their Maidens Barn Wedding.  Our first port of call on their Wedding Day was at Anita’s home for the bridal preparations.  We arrived as Anita was in the final stages of having her make-up and hair done.  In between photographing these moments we got on with photographing Anita’s accessories.

The Bridesmaids were also getting ready as well as Anita’s Mum so there was a lot happening, but everything was running smoothly.  It was a beautiful day and once they were all ready we all went into the garden. Anita looked stunning and with a mixture of sun and shade we got on with the more posed pictures.  We managed to find time for  a final picture of them all standing by the white London cab at the front of the house before we left.  It had been a while since we had photographed a Wedding at Maidens Barn so we were really looking forward to this country barn setting.  An outside Ceremony was what Anita and Steve wanted and their wish was granted! We took a few pictures of the set-up before the Guests started to arrive and some pictures of Steve and his Groomsmen. Anita arrived soon afterwards.  The Guests took their places for the Ceremony and with the Harpist playing the Barn Doors opened and Anita, holding onto her Mother’s arm made her way into the garden.  Maidens Barn Wedding PhotographerAfter the Ceremony, Anita, Steve and their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception, making use of the new Oak Barn which provided coolness and shade!  Once the requested family groups, fun and confetti pictures were done there was a little time for Anita and Steve’s pictures.  Although still hot we walked to the field for a few pictures of them together. Wedding Photography Maidens Barn Soon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The Wedding Breakfast was held in Elm Barn and the Speeches followed.  Everybody then went outside to enjoy the evening sunshine and the evening Guests started to arrive.  Anita and Steve wanted to practice their First Dance out of sight of their Guests, so this gave us the opportunity to go with them and take a few pictures as well.  When most of Anita and Steve’s evening Wedding Guests having arrived they took to the dance floor. A brilliant First Dance! The best place for the sunset that evening was a short drive down the road and knowing how much Anita and Steve wanted their pictures, they were happy to go for a ride in our car! Thank you Anita and Steve, lovely Wedding Photography Maidens Barn!Wedding Photography Maidens Barn After capturing some informal pictures during the evening, we finished with a Maidens Barn night picture!  Lovely to see Hannah and Craig again, a year after we photographed their Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon. A wonderful day!
