Gaynes Park Wedding Photography for Kira & Callum

It was a cool but dry day for Kira and Callum’s Wedding at Gaynes Park. Kira and the girls were getting ready in the Apple Loft cottage when we arrived  and the preparations were in full swing.  Whilst these were going on we took a few pictures of Callum and his Groomsmen before they greeted the Guests.Gaynes Park Wedding Photographer A horse and carriage had been arranged for Kira so once all the girls were dressed and a few pictures taken, Kira accompanied by her Father went for a short ride before the Ceremony.  The Ceremony was held in the Gaynes Park Orangery and with all the Guests seated it was time for Kira, taking her Father’s arm to make the walk into the Ceremony. After the Ceremony after having some time to socialise with their Guests we took a few requested classic family photographs.  Despite Kira and Callum’s children, Brogan and Freya, being a little under the weather we managed to get a couple of pictures of the whole family.

During the Reception everybody was treated to a plentiful selection of canapés and drinks whilst socialising. During the afternoon Kira and Callum together with their children and a few other children went for a ride in the horse and carriage, whilst we continued with capturing some informal pictures. Later we managed to take Kira and Callum for a few pictures of them, together.  Toasts and the cutting of the Wedding Cake followed a little later. Essex Wedding PhotographerBrogan and Freya had been asleep for a little while so once they had woken up we were able to finish the coverage of  Kira and Callum’s Wedding with a picture of the four of them under the Gazebo.

Marquee Wedding Photography for Alice & Peter

We arrived at Alice’s family home on a bright morning with fingers crossed it would continue! After David saying ‘hello’ to everybody he left to go a short distance to Alice and Peter’s home to catch up with the guys and their final preparations. Meanwhile, I stayed with the girls where their preparations were going along nicely. Alice was having her hair and make-up done every step watched  by her Flowergirl, Eliza. Once the men were ready they went off to the Church whilst David returned to Alice and the girls.  The girls were in the final stages of getting dressed and once they were ready we got on with a few pictures.  It was dry and bright outside so we took a few pictures but kept it brief as the wind was getting to be a nuisance.

Essex Wedding Photographer We then left to go to St Nicholas Church, Tolleshunt D’arcy  where Alice and Peter were to be married.  We had a little time to take a few pictures of Peter, his Best Man, Usher before the arrival of Alice.  Alice’s friend drove her to the Church in her Morris MG and then Alice’s two brothers escorted into the Church. Essex Church Wedding PhotographerAfter the service, Alice and Peter exited the Church, followed by their Guests and mingled in the sunshine for a short while. A few requested family pictures were taken at the Church before the Guests showered Alice and Peter in confetti.   The Guests waved them off in the Morris MG as they left to go to the farm for the Reception. When we arrived at the farm we took Alice and Peter for a very short while for their together pictures in the daffodils before many of the Guests arrived. Marquee Wedding Photography EssexOnce the Guests had finished arriving and had a few minutes for drinks we got on with some requested group pictures.  A big ‘thank you’ to Dave the Best Man for helping us organising these so quickly. With the weather looking like it was changing,  we wanted to capture as much as we could of Alice and Peter’s venue and knew we  were up against it! Alice and Peter were of the same mind.  We even managed to take a few more pictures of the two of them despite the spots of rain starting.  Then the rain came! We moved around the Marquee and captured some informal pictures before the Wedding Breakfast.  This was provided by the Event Catering Company from Colchester. After the meal and Speeches, it wasn’t long before the Band were ready for the dancing.  Alice and Peter cut their Wedding Cake and then a ‘surprise’! Alice’s Brothers rode into the Marquee on a Tandem which was a Wedding Present for Alice and Peter. Wedding Photographer EssexJust before leaving Alice and Peter braved the weather for a couple of night pictures with the lights outside. Thank you! A nice ending to a lovely day!

  • Vaulty Manor Wedding Photography for Joanne & Barry

Vaulty Manor Wedding Photography for Joanne & Barry

Our Vaulty Manor Wedding Photography for Joanne and Barry started in the morning at Joanne and Barry’s home. Jo was getting ready there with her Bridesmaids. All preparations were running smoothly and after taking pictures of Joanne’s dress and accessories, the girls got dressed.  Joanne’s Mother and Father arrived  with Mum then assisting Joanne with the final preparations.

Vaulty Manor Wedding PhotographerAfter a few family and girls’ pictures we left them to go to Vaulty Manor.  The men were all there so we got on with taking a few pictures of them outside.  Wedding Photographer Vaulty ManorWhen it was time,  everyone made their way inside for the Civil Ceremony. Joanne arrived soon after and once she had seen the Registrars took her Father’s arm and with the Bridesmaids leading the way, followed them into Vaulty Manor. It was nice to see Susie (Registrar) again, we photographed her Wedding at Stock Brook Manor in 2006 and have also taken family pictures since. Civil Ceremony Wedding PhotographerAfter the Ceremony, the Guests went outside with hands full of confetti and waited for Joanne and Barry to appear. This they did, so after being covered in confetti we got on with taking the requested group pictures. Some fun Bridal pictures followed before Joanne and Barry had a few minutes to talk to their Guests.  The forecast was not good, so we had to keep things moving and we were aware we needed to take Joanne and Barry for their pictures.  Making sure we had brollies to hand, we went off around the grounds, achieving some nice pictures in the daffodils.Vaulty Manor Wedding Photography Finishing their pictures, the rain started to fall, and by the time Joanne and Barry were walking back to Vaulty Manor, that signalled the end of outside pictures for the day! The Greeting Line preceded the Wedding Breakfast with the Speeches following. The Best Man’s Speech was superb, very amusing and we captured some great reactions. During the evening we took a few pictures of Joanne and Barry upstairs in between the arrival of their evening Guests. Before the First Dance Joanne and Barry cut their Wedding Cake, then the Guests joined them on the dance floor. Not long afterwards, it was time for us to say goodbye.  A lovely day!

Wedding Photographs Gosfield Hall for Gill & Chris

Gill and Chris chose the stunning Gosfield Hall for their Wedding and we were delighted to be asked to photograph their big day. Bridal preparations were taking place upstairs at Gosfield Hall when we arrived. Everything was running smoothly and Gill, her Mother, Val, Father, Cliff, and Sister, Nicola were all very relaxed. Meanwhile Chris was getting ready with this Best Man, Richard, and his Ushers, Steve, Mike and Graham. With  preparations and details completed and ready, Chris then spent a little time greeting some of the Guests in between having some pictures taken.

Gosfield Wedding PhotographerWhilst this was going on Gill was getting dressed in the Rococco Suite assisted by her Mum and Sister. Everybody looked lovely! The Rococco Suite is a lovely room for Bridal portraits etc, and as time was on our side we got on with these taking full advantage of the setting. Gosfield Hall Wedding PhotographyAfter seeing the Registrars, Gill took her Father’s arm and made her way to the Queen’s Gallery for the Civil Ceremony. Following the Ceremony, Gill, Chris and their Guests went into the Salon for the Drinks Reception.Wedding Photographs Gosfield Hall  It was raining at this time but the forecast was for it was to stop, so Gill and Chris enjoyed some social time with their Guests including being entertained by a Wedding Singer. This gave us ample opportunity for some informal pictures. Starting off inside at Gosfield Hall we got on with the few requested family pictures that Gil and Chris wanted before going off with them for a short while for their pictures.  The rain had stopped earlier so after a few pictures of them inside Gosfield Hall we went outside. Wedding Photographer Gosfield Hall Returning to their Guests, Gill and Chris had a little time before the Receiving Line.  The Wedding Breakfast  followed and then it was time for the Speeches.  Speeches took a different spin today! Questions and Answers! It worked well! In between the end of the Wedding Breakfast and the evening celebrations we took a few more pictures of Gill and Chris together with some special requested pictures.  The First Dance followed the cake cutting  and after capturing a flavour of the rest of the evening celebrations it was time for us to leave. Such a relaxed, enjoyable and rewarding day!

Gosfield Hall Wedding – Rebecca & Michael

It was a windy but dry day for Rebecca and Michael’s Wedding at the wonderful Gosfield Hall. Arriving in the morning we met with Rebecca and her sisters, Tareena and Nahida, who were having their hair and make-up done upstairs. David went off to meet with Michael and his Groomsmen who were downstairs  Once all the men were present the Courtyard was the setting for their pictures. With some formal and then fun images captured, Guests were arriving so they greeted them and socialised in the bar area. Whilst this was happening, I was keeping an eye on the ‘getting ready’ pictures in between capturing details of Rebecca’s Wedding Dress and accessories which were in the Rococco Suite. Everything was running smoothly but as always the last hour seems to go twice as quick so as soon as Rebecca’s veil was on, it was time to move and get dressed in the Rococco Suite.  Rebecca looked stunning in her Wedding Dress and without further ado we got on with her Bridal Portraits. Gosfield Hall Wedding  Rebecca’s Brother, Shafi, was giving her away, so after he saw her for the first time we had a little time for a few pictures before the Registrars appeared. The Flowergirls, Megan and Ellie, then led the way along the corridor for the Ceremony in the Queens Gallery.Gosfield Hall Wedding Photographer Once the formalities were completed we capturing some relaxed  pictures as Rebecca and Michael returned down the aisle before making their way downstairs into the Grand Salon. As it happened Michael and Rebecca had a few minutes to themselves which for us resulted in some nice natural images. Their Guests joined them for the Drinks Reception and Canapes, allowing us time for the informal pictures. After a little whilst socialising it was time to get on with the requested Group pictures and some Bridal Party pictures. Although chilly, these pictures were taken outside in the Courtyard before returning to the warmth of Gosfield Hall! Wedding Photography Gosfield HallA very quick walk around the outside of Gosfield Hall took place a little later on, well done Rebecca and Michael, more than a touch windswept! We took a few requested pictures just before the Greeting Line and theWedding  Breakfast. There were some wonderful expressive images during the Speeches which of course we were pleased to get. Wedding Photographer Gosfield HallEverybody then made their way downstairs for the evening reception. Rebecca and Michael cut their Wedding Cake then took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Wedding Photographer Gosfield HallAfter capturing a few relaxed evening pictures we said our goodbyes and left them to continue their evening celebrations.  A lovely day and it was nice to work with Luke (Videographer) Look Back and Remember.

A Christmas Wedding at Fennes! Beth and Lee chose the popular Wedding Venue The Fennes Estate for their Wedding. Arriving at Fennes, meeting with the girls was our first job.  David then went off to find the guys who were in the cottages making their final preparations.  Beth and the girls were having a great time upstairs in the changing rooms, having their hair and make-up done. Once Lee and the men were ready, looking splendid in their RAF uniforms, they made their way over to the house.  After taking a few portraits of Lee and a few pictures of them all Lee and his Groomsmen went into the house as the Guests were starting to arrive. By this time the girls were in the final stages of getting ready and once Beth’s Mother was ready, she assisted Beth to get dressed.  Beth looked lovely!

  • Emergency Wedding Cover

    Emergency Wedding Cover

Emergency Wedding Cover was provided by us for the wedding of Suzanne and Roy. At 1.40pm we were happily going about our tasks in the office and home, when Sue Nightingale from Fennes called. The wedding photographer due at Fennes had sent the Bride an email  just ONE hour prior to the ceremony saying she was not going to attend!! At 2.20pm Sandra and I started photographing the wedding of Suzanne and Roy, even though we did not know their names at this stage. The Registrars had kindly delayed the Ceremony to give us time to arrive. When we had finished the photographs, we spoke briefly with the couple to find who had let them down. They had booked their original photographer on Groupon without meeting her! They had had trouble contacting her which had unfortunatly not rung the alarm bells. Sadly the world seems full of so called photographers, who are very unprofessional and Brides will continue to book them just thinking about a great price and not what they REALLY get for it. Please do check that your chosen photographer has: some level of PROFESSIONAL wedding photography experience; insurance; back-up equipment; professional qualifications; a physical address as well as a website and somebody to call on in an emergency. A wedding can not be rescheduled or photographed at a later date so be aware the sort of risks you may take by trying to save a few pounds. Maybe not our most creative wedding photography ever but it fulfilled the simple requirements that Suzanne and Roy requested. Not every couple gets as luck as Suzanne and Roy.

It wasn’t long before Sarah appeared with her Bridesmaids and her Mum.  Whilst taking pictures of  the details and accessories, the Champagne was opened and sipped for a few minutes before the girls finished their final preparations. Once everybody was ready we took a few pictures before leaving to go to St Peter’s Church, Coggeshall.
