  • Pre-Wedding Pictures

It was nice to meet Natasha and Paul again prior to their Wedding at The Fennes Estate later on this year.  As well as discussing the final details of their Wedding we took a few pictures of Natasha and Paul by themselves and also with their dog.Engagement Photo - The Fennes Estate

  • Wedding Photography for Claire & Tom at Prested Hall, Feering

Claire and Tom chose Prested Hall, Feering, for their Civil Ceremony and Reception.  Claire and her Bridesmaids were getting ready for the Ceremony when we arrived at Prested Hall, so after taking a few pictures we went to find Tom and his Best Man.  A few pictures of their final preparations were taken together with pictures of Guests arriving. Other than a shower occurring whilst the Ceremony was taking place, the weather stayed fine and we were able to go outside and take the requested photographs.  After Claire and Tom had time to socialise with their Guests we took them for a walk around Prested Hall for their pictures, before the Wedding Breakfast.  Speeches followed and a while later the evening celebrations began, our coverage ending with the First Dance.Wedding Photo - Prested Hall

  • Wedding Photography for Cathy & Matt at Creeksea Place, Creeksea

Cathy’s bridal preparations were taking place at Five Lakes Golf and Country Club, so this is where David and I joined the girls at the beginning of Cathy and Matt’s Wedding Day.  Lots of activity was taking place, so there were plenty of images to capture before leaving for the journey to Creeksea Place for the Civil Ceremony and Reception. Unfortunately, the weather was not as we would all have liked so the use of umbrellas was used to the maximum when we got to Creeksea.  Saying that, we captured some lovely images of the everyone making their way to the outdoor Ceremony.  After the Ceremony as it was still raining we were able to go into the House with Cathy and Matt and take some unexpected indoor pictures, with great results!  As we came out the sun was shining, so the requested family group pictures were taken outside on the lawn. Following the Wedding Breakfast, we covered the Speeches, which were interrupted by the marvelous ‘Del Boy’ Lookalike, www.delboy2.co.uk, which provided great fun and laughter.  A stroll around the grounds of Creeksea Place in the early evening and coverage of the First Dance ended our day.Wedding Photo - Creeksea Place

  • Wedding Photography for Lauren & David at Gaynes Park, Epping

A lovely warm day greeted us at home for the start of Lauren and David’s Wedding Day.  Lauren and her Bridesmaids were extremely relaxed enjoying the many preparations going on and this made for some nice informal pictures.  After taking a few pictures of Lauren in the garden we left to go to St Mary’s Church, Chigwell, for the Ceremony.  Following the church service, Lauren and David greeted their Guests outside the Church, proceeded by a few pictures of the two of them at the Church door.  Lauren and David left the Church, past confetti throwers in the glorious sunshine.  On arrival at Gaynes Park, Lauren and David socialised with their Guests before we organised the family group pictures to be taken in the Walled Garden. Gaynes Park provides ample opportunities for photographs and as we were there until after the First Dance, we were able to get such varied beautiful pictures.  An evening stroll for Lauren and David provided us with a closing picture which captured a wonderful day.Wedding Photo - St Mary's Church, Chigwell

  • Wedding Photography for Abby & Michael – The Old Kent Barn, Dover

Abby and Michael chose The Old Kent Bar, Dover, for their Civil Wedding Ceremony and Reception.  Abby got ready in the oldest part of the Barn which had atmospheric oak beams which added to the character of the pictures.  The Ceremony was held outdoors in the Gazebo, which was beautifully decorated.  After the Ceremony the Guests enjoyed a Drinks Reception on the lawn in the sunshine, whilst we arranged the requested family groups, assisted by Ian Low, the Toastmaster.  The Wedding Breakfast was held in the fabulous new Tithe Barn and the meal was excellent.  After the Speeches we took Abby and Michael for a few pictures by the lake and around the Barn, briefly interrupted by a fly-past by Abby’s Dad’s plane.  As it was such a lovely day, we waited for the wonderful sunset which was a while after the First Dance but well worth the wait.  This was our first visit to The Old Kent Barn, Dover, and we were very impressed not only with the Venue itself but with the friendliness of the Owners and staff and hope it will not be too long before we are there again. The Old Kent Barn, Dover

  • 30 years of Wedding Photography!!

Well it’s finally arrived, Jeannette & Martin’s 30th Wedding Anniversary, congratulations to them!  Guess who did their photography!

I can remember the terror and worry of my first professional Wedding, what shots to take, who to process the film! Well I guess it all went ok as Jeannette & Martin still talk to me and I am still a Photographer!

But what has changed in 30 years and almost 1700 weddings beside the demise of film! The photography is far more fluid and our aim is to ensure our couples enjoy their weddings and not just do a photoshoot! Sandra is now very much part of the team. When I started I had been on some training courses but was unqualified, uninsured but who had heard of lawyers in those days!! The quality from today’s digital cameras is fantastic but wedding photography is so much more that a good camera and a few poses. All those years of experience come into use on a regular basis and rather than still just doing what I did 30 years ago I regularly attend workshops and seminars to hone my skills and keep up with today’s trends.

…and one last thing, I still have nearly all the negatives and digital files!

  • Children Portraits

Rachel and Jon were married at The Fennes Estate in 2009, so it was lovely to meet them once again, and meet their son Issac for the first time.  On a really hot morning we took some lovely pictures of Issac and the three of them together, in the natural light of their garden.  Issac really enjoyed sitting on the grass, finding the grass and leaves very interesting indeed and providing us with some great pictures!Child Photo - London

  • Heather & Dan's Wedding Photography at Down Hall, Hatfield Heath

A beautifully warm sunny day heralded the start of our Wedding Photography for Heather and Dan.  Heather’s final preparations were at the stunning Down Hall, so we started there first of all, taking pictures of Heather, her Parents and the Bridesmaids before leaving for St. Andrew’s Church, Sandon.  On arrival at the Church, Dan and his Ushers were greeting the Guests and in between we took their pictures.  Heather arrived shortly after and the Wedding Ceremony began.  After the Church service and Heather and Dan had chatted to their Guests, we returned to Down Hall, where we did the majority of the family pictures and Bride and Groom portraits.  Following the Wedding Breakfast and coverage of the Speeches, the soft evening light provided us the opportunity to take a few more relaxed pictures in the grounds of Down Hall.St Andrew's Church, Sandon
