On arrival at Five Lakes Hotel we were unsure of what the weather would produce for Rebecca and Gavin’s Wedding, although bright and breezy, showers were forecast, we would just have to wait and see! On arrival at Five Lakes where Rebecca was having her make-up done by the superb Emma Quin! With lots going on and with Rebecca having her make-up done by the superb Emma Quin, we captured some nice images before Rebecca and her Bridesmaids were ready for a few portraits. We then made our way to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, which was looking fantastic with blossom on the trees, wonderful colours around, and sunshine! The men were looking their best and after photographing them and a few Guest arrivals, Rebecca arrived for the Civil Ceremony.
Rebecca looked wondeful in her Wedding Dress which was supplied by Nell ‘Amore and after seeing the Registrars the Civil Ceremony began. After the Ceremony, Rebecca and Gavin led their Guests to the Drinks Reception outside and had some social time with them. We took some family group pictures and some fun bridal photographs during the afternoon. With the Guests enjoying themselves we took Rebecca and Gavin around the gardens for a short time for their together pictures.
With time going extremely quickly, as with all Weddings, it was time for the Speeches before the Wedding Breakfast. Afterwards, Rebecca and Gavin wanted a few pictures in the early evening low sun light, which we were happy to do! As the Evening Guests had arrived Rebecca tossed her bouquet before taking to the dance floor for the First Dance. To round off a splendid day a fantastic sunset!

Pre-Wedding Pictures
It was nice to see Nicola and Ian again to go over the details of their Wedding and take some pre-wedding pictures. Nicola and Ian are getting married at Fennes later this year.

As Jo and Doug were on their way to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, for a meeting, they stopped off at ours to go over the details of their Wedding one afternoon recently. Afterwards we decided to go to Crabbs Barn with them to take their pre-wedding pictures.

Wedding Photography for Carly & Gary – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was a pleasure to be asked to photograph Carly and Gary’s Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, Essex. Our day started at Carly’s parents’ home where there was lots going on but everything was going to plan. Once all preparations were complete, we had plenty of time to take pictures inside the house as well as in the garden, before we left to go to Crabbs Barn.
Arriving at Crabbs Barn, Gary, his Best Man and Usher were there and we had enough time to take some photographs of them before the Bridesmaids and Carly arrived. Following the Civil Ceremony Carly and Gary had a couple of pictures taken with the car before leaving for a short car ride. Once they returned and socialised with their Guests for a little while, we took a few requested family groups and then some relaxed pictures of the bridal party before we took Carly and Gary for a short stroll around the grounds for their pictures.
After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches and whilst the guests enjoyed their coffee, Carly and Gary had their caricatures drawn by the brilliant Caricature Artist Steve Hearn who we have met at numerous events. With the Guests then having their caricatures drawn, we took the opportunity of taking Carly and Gary for another walk around Crabbs Barn as the light was so good.
Evening Guests arrived before the happy couple took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Later on, Carly, Gary and their Wedding Guests were entertained by a surprise firework display. -

Wedding Photography for Ellie & Danny – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was a dry if chilly day when we arrived at Ellie’s Parents’ home, where Ellie was getting ready for her Wedding. After taking a few pictures of Ellie getting ready, just on cue, the sun made an appearance and as we went outside to the garden to take a few photographs. It was soon time for us to leave to go to Crabbs Barn to see Danny and his Groomsmen and take a few pictures of them before Ellie arrived. Following the Civil Ceremony, the Guests followed Ellie and Danny outside for an ‘everybody’ photograph before enjoying the Drinks Reception in the warmth of the Garden Pavilion. A few family group pictures were taken later on before Ellie and Danny left their Guests socialising for a short time to have some pictures taken of them together around the grounds of Crabbs Barn.
After the confetti pictures it was time for the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches. Ellie and Danny wanted to have a few pictures afterwards around the gardens and luckily for them sunset pictures before the arrival of their evening Guests.
After the cake cutting and First Dance we left them all to continue with the evening celebrations. An enjoyable day, a lovely couple and thanks to Paul, Jack and JLS Catering for looking after us as always. -
Wedding Photography for Natasha & Mark – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was a cold but dry day when we arrived at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, for the Wedding of Natasha and Mark. Natasha was getting ready in the Bridal Suite together with her Bridesmaid, Khadyah, and as the time progressed we captured the images. When Natasha was ready, her Dad greeted her and after a few pictures it was time to take the short walk to the Barn for the Civil Ceremony, where close family and friends were waiting. Natasha and Mark wanted an intimate and relaxed day with their close family and friends. Following the Ceremony, Natasha and Mark had a little while by themselves before we took a few pictures of them. Not wanting to keep them outside very long, we managed their time very well and achieved some nice images.

With their Guests enjoying the Reception Drinks and Natasha and Mark joining them, in between we took a few family group pictures inside the Garden Room together with some informal pictures. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the barn on one big table, which made for a wonderful intimate atmosphere.
Coverage of the Speeches followed before the start of the evening Reception. As more Guests arrived for the Evening Reception we took some informal pictures of them before the cutting of the cake and the First Dance. To finish our day we took a couple of pictures of the happy couple outside the Barn. -

Wedding Photography for Diane & Ken – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was a busy morning for Diane at her Parents’ house getting ready for her special day. After taking a few pictures of preparations, and as we had a journey to get to Crabbs Barn, it was decided to catch up on some of the pictures later on. The rain clouds were holding off as we arrived at Crabbs Barn allowing us to get some pictures of Ken and his Dad, who was Best Man. After the Civil Ceremony, we quickly took a few pictures of Diane and Ken and their son Oliver with the car, outside Crabbs Barn, which Oliver thoroughly enjoyed!
During the Drinks Reception, with the Guests enjoying the sunshine and the children playing with the garden games, we took a few family group pictures, together with those we did not have time to do earlier. Making sure Diane and Ken had some social time we were able to steal them away for a few minutes for their portraits around Crabbs Barn before the Wedding Breakfast.
The time of the sunset was during the wedding breakfast but thanks goes to Paul, the Manager at Crabbs Barn for adjusting the timings of the courses so Diane and Ken could have the pictures they wanted.
After capturing some of the evening celebrations and guests we ended our day .
