Pre-Wedding Engagement session – Sarah and Rob

We met Sarah and Rob one evening to talk about their forthcoming Wedding and for their pre-wedding Engagement session. ThePre-Wedding Engagement session gives us a chance to get to know our clients a little better before the ‘big day’, finalise the timings and any special requests. We work at so many venues with beautifully manicured lawns, it is always nice to find some wild flowers to add interest to our pictures when possible! Sarah and Rob are having a Church Wedding followed by a Wedding Reception at The White Hart, Great Yeldham.

  • Prested Hall Wedding Photography – Charlotte & Jonathan

    Prested Hall Wedding Photography

Prested Hall Wedding Photography – It was nice to be asked by Jonathan and Charli to photograph their Wedding at St Nicholas Church, Witham and then Prested Hall, Feering. We have known Jonathan since he was born and it was a pleasure to provide Wedding Photography for them. Prested Hall was where we started on the day of Charli and Jonathan’s Wedding. Charli, her Mother and Bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done before moving to the Dingle.  After capturing a few ‘getting ready’ shots, we then moved to the Dingle where we took a few pictures of Charli’s Wedding Dress and accessories. It was soon time for Charli to move from the Spa to the Dingle to get dressed, assisted by her Mum. With everybody ready we took a few pictures outside before leaving to go to our local Church St Nicholas, Witham, where the Wedding service was taking place. We met Jonathan and as a few guests had started to arrive we promptly took his pictures together with his Best Men and Ushers. Once the Guests had made their way into the Church, Leah the Flowergirl joined Charli and the Bridesmaids who had just arrived and  we had a few extra minutes for a some nice pictures.  Charli then took her Father’s arm and walked up the path and into the Church.

St Nicolas Church Witham Prested Hall Wedding Photos After the service, Charli and Jonathan led their Guests out of the Church for a few requested family pictures.  Being a nice dry afternoon, we had a choice of where to do these. Everybody then threw confetti over Charli and Jonathan as they walked towards the Wedding car, making for some nice relaxed images.Prested Hall Wedding Photographer  Arriving at Prested Hall everybody socialised during the Drinks Reception and after the car pictures so did Charli and Jonathan.  With the Wedding Breakfast time not far off we decided to take Charli and Jonathan for their pictures over the bridge. Prested Hall wedding photographyOn our return it was time for the Wedding Breakfast.  The Marquee looked lovely and whilst Charli and Jonathan greeted their Guests we captured the reactions of their Guests as they had their ‘first look’ at the lego centrepieces on the tables.  Charli was extremely proud of her Brother’s work in making them all.  After the meal it was time for the Speeches, which included an ‘ode’ by Jane, the Groom’s Mum. Everybody then went outside for a big group photo  before the evening entertainment.  Charli, Jonathan and ourselves went for a stroll in the grounds, finding a patch of bluebells, just right for some relaxed evening pictures.  On our return the Band had set up, evening Guests had arrived and Charli and Jonathan had their First Dance. Later Jonathan surprised Charli with joining the Band playing his Guitar for a couple of songs. A little while later we said goodbye, finished with a couple of nice evening pictures. Another great day of Prested Hall Wedding Photography Essex Wedding Photographer Prested Hall Congratulations to Charli and Jonathan! A wonderful day!

  • Reid Rooms Wedding Photography for Louise & Stephen

    Reid Rooms Wedding Photography

Our day started at Louise’s Parents’ house for the bridal preparations. We took a few pictures of Louise’s dress and accessories whilst capturing the ‘getting ready’ pictures. Once everybody was ready we took a few posed photos of them inside as it was drizzling outside. We left Louise to go and meet Stephen at The Holy Name Church, which they had chosen for their wedding.  Guests were starting to arrive at the Church as we got there but we managed to take Stephen, his Best Man and Ushers for a few pictures in between the flow of guests! The rain had stopped and as Louise arrived the skies were brightening which was good timing! Louise took her Father’s arm and they made their way into the Church. This lovely light Church with a Balcony allowed us to get a variety of pictures during the service from different angles.

Chelmsford Wedding PhotographerLouise and Stephen exited the Church and exchanged a few words with their Guests, before we arranged the requested family group pictures.  The  Guests threw confetti over Louise the happy couple as they left the churchyard heading to the Reception. The Reid Rooms was where the Reception was held and as always looked a picture.  Whilst waiting for all their Guests to arrive at the Reid Rooms, we took Louise and Stephen for a few of their ‘together’ pictures. Reid Rooms Wedding Photography Louise and Stephen then joined their Guests in the Courtyard for the Drinks Reception. Being a warm afternoon, everyone enjoyed socialising outside whilst we took some informal pictures. Reid Rooms Wedding Photographer informal pictures During the afternoon we took a few fun pictures of the Bridal party.  The Wedding Breakfast beckoned and everyone entered the Dining Room for this to commence. Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast and then the cutting of the Wedding cake. Guests relaxed outside whilst waiting for the evening entertainment to begin.  James of PianaDJ  provided the music for the evening and when Louise and Stephen were ready they took to the dance floor for their First Dance.  A little while later we rounded off our coverage of Louise and Stephen’s Wedding with a couple of evening pictures. • Fennes Wedding Photography – Zhanine & David

    Fennes Wedding Photography

Our day started early with a visit to Zhanine and David’s home for Zhanine’s bridal preparation shots for her Wedding. With David downstairs taking some images of the hair and make-up, I went upstairs to photograph Zhanine’s dress and accessories. When Zhanine’s hair and most of her make-up were finished it was time for her to get dressed.  Zhanine’s sister and Bridesmaid  helped her get ready whilst I got a few action shots. The time had run out so we quickly took a couple of bridal portraits of  Zhanine before we left to go to the Church.Essex Wedding Photographer  Our Lady Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, Chelmsford, was where Zhanine and David were to be married.  Once we had finished our brief chat with Father Hugh,  taken some detail shots and met with the Videographer who was shooting his first wedding. David, his Best Man and Ushers arrived and and quickly disappeared into the Church  to take up their duties.  We found time between the guest arrivals to take a few arranged pictures of them.Chelmsford Wedding Photographer It wasn’t long before Zhanine, accompanied by her Father arrived. We took a couple of pictures before the music began and Zhanine took her Father’s arm and they made their way into the Church.Wedding Photographer Essex After the service as Zhanine and David left the Church with their Parents and the Bridal Party, we took a couple of quick group pictures of them all, before the rest of the Guests joined them outside. After greeting their Guests for a little while,  Zhanine and David were showered in confetti just before getting into the car to go to the Reception. The Fennes Estate was the chosen Reception Venue and a particular favourite of ours. It was a beautiful day and Fennes looked wonderful. Zhanine and David’s Wedding Guests arrived at various intervals and were entertained by the Piper. We got on and took some relaxed and informal pictures during the Drinks Reception. Once we believed everybody had arrived  we took the family group pictures. During the afternoon we managed to achieve the pictures that were required as well as taking Zhanine and David onto the bridge for the their pictures. Fennes Wedding Photography recommend A patch of Bluebells provided a lovely backdrop for a few bride and groom pictures but as always at Fennes there are so many opportunities for pictures that we are spoilt for choice! Later the Piper piped Zhanine and David into the Pavilion for the Wedding Breakfast.  The Speeches provided some amusing images before people went outside to enjoy the nice evening. Able to find a little time to take some evening pictures of Zhanine and David later we were pleased with the results.  Zhanine and David cut their Wedding cake before their First Dance, which was followed by a Ceilidh. Nice to work with www.debbielloyd.co.uk for and www.bridalpromhairdesign.com. A great day!

  • Bradbourne House Wedding – Kate & Mark

    Bradbourne House Wedding

We were delighted to be asked to photograph Kate and Mark’s Wedding at the stunning Bradbourne House, East Malling Kent.  Kate was a Bridesmaid at her sister’s Emma’s Wedding which we photographed at Court Lodge Barn, Stansted, Kent, in the summer last year. Now it was role reversal time! We arrived at Kate’s Parents’ house on a beautiful early spring day. The girls were getting ready and everything was running smoothly. Capturing the moments as well as detail and accessory shots kept us busy and as always the last hour was going so quickly!

Kent Wedding Photographer Kate was helped by her Mother, Yvonne, and her Bridesmaids, Jemma, Emma and Becky and once everything was completed we all stepped outside into the garden for a few portraits. With a slight wind blowing we were thankful the back garden was sheltered.  After taking the pictures we then left to go to St Mary’s Church, Fawkham, for the church service.  The sun was shining, some Guests were greeting Mark and his Groomsmen, whilst others were just arriving.  It was a lovely setting for some informal guest arrival pictures before the start of the Wedding.  After a couple of pictures of Mark, it was time for everybody to go inside the Church before Kate arrived.  With all the guests seated in the Church, Kate was  escorted by her Father, Paul, and her Bridesmaids, along the path and into the church.Kent Wedding Photographer After the service, Kate and Mark led their Guests outside for a few requested family pictures.  Although reasonably sunny and warm the wind had got up causing a change to our spot for some of the pictures. Kate and Mark in between the pictures talked to their Guests before it was time to leave for the Reception.  This was our first Bradbourne House Wedding and we were looking forward to taking pictures taken there, hoping we could find sufficient time! Luck was on our side, the journey was good so getting there at the same time as Kate and Mark allowed us to take the happy couple for a short walk around the stunning grounds for some pictures. Bradbourne House Wedding As their Guests arrived they went into the House to enjoy the Drinks Reception and as ever we wanted the happy couple to spend time with their guests, not just us taking photos! Whilst Kate and Mark enjoyed this period we took some candid and documentary pictures of the guests.  With it being so warm, several of their Guests spilled out onto the patio and steps at the back of the House to enjoy the sunshine, giving us extra opportunity for some different pictures.  After a few requested small group pictures and some fun bridal pictures, it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. We were unsure whether there was going to be a sunset and if we would be able to see it due to the trees! Knowing it would be during the Wedding Breakfast we were on standby and we couldn’t have been more lucky, a  brilliant sunset! Wedding Photographer KentAfter the Speeches the room was prepared for the evening entertainment. With the room transformation complete, Kate and Mark then performed a rehearsed First Dance to their Guests, followed by members of Kate’s family doing their ‘party’ piece, great fun!Essex Wedding Photographer We finishing our coverage of a wonderful Wedding with a couple of outside pictures.  Thank you to Emma for helping us finding Guests so quickly for the pictures allowing us to get some extra pictures of Kate and Mark together. A wonderful Wedding!  Thank you to Yvonne and Paul for making us so welcome. We look forward to doing another Bradbourne House wedding in the future.

  • Wedding Photographer The Fennes for Caroline & Simon

    Wedding Photographer The Fennes

Our Wedding Photography coverage of Caroline and Simon’s Wedding started at The Fennes Estate, Bocking on a bright and dry but chilly day. Caroline was in the final stages of having her hair done with the Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboys getting dressed. Simon was having a few pictures taken with his Groomsmen outside, with the ‘Back to the Future’ Delorean, which was going to take him to St Mary’s Church, Bocking, for the Wedding. It wasn’t long before Caroline got dressed with the help of her Mum and her Bridesmaids and she was ready for a few pictures.

Wedding Photographs The FennesDavid and I then left them to go to the Church. Many of Caroline and Simon’s Guests came on the Routemaster bus and as they arrived at the Church we took some arrival pictures as they made their way into the Church. Caroline arrived at the Church and as it was quite cold made her way quickly into Church for some warmth! After the Church service we quickly took a couple of family pictures before Caroline and Simon walked down the path and were showered in confetti. Once back at Fennes, the car took centre stage for a little while, making for some different pictures. With Caroline and Simon’s Guests enjoying the Drinks Reception inside as well, we managed to find a few minutes to take Caroline and Simon around Fennes for a few pictures of them together. Wedding Photographer FennesLater we used the Gold Room inside the House for a few requested family pictures before the Wedding Breakfast commenced. The Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast and then it was time for the evening celebrations to begin. Caroline and Simon’s evening Guests started to arrive, so we took a few informal pictures of them before the cutting of the Wedding Cake and the First Dance. Happy to have been the wedding photographer The Fennes for another day and happy with the pictures that we had taken throughout the day we said our goodbyes.

  • Wedding Photographer Blake Hall, Ongar, for Jenna & James

Wedding photographer Blake Hall, Ongar – Blake Hall is a wonderful Wedding Venue and our first Wedding there! After being asked to photograph there several times and couldn’t because we were already booked meant we were so looking forward to Jenna and James’ Wedding.  We arrived at Jenna and James’ house on an extremely humid day.  Bridal preparations were well underway and excitement was a plenty! Once Jenna was ready, looking beautiful, she made her way down the stairs where her Father and Bridesmaids were waiting. After Jenna had given presents to the Bridesmaids and emotions were back under control, we went outside for a few pictures. With our job completed we went off to St Mary’s, Great Baddow, where the marriage was to take place. We were there to capture images of James and his Groomsmen as they walked towards the Church. and as we had them altogether we took a few pictures of them before the Wedding Guests arrived. Wedding Photographer Essex The sun was out as James greeted the Guests before disappearing into the Church shortly before Jenna arrived. Following the Church service, Jenna and James led their Guests out of the Church.  After a quick few greetings to their Guests, we got on with the requested family pictures.  Everybody co-operated really well as time needed to be allowed for journey to Blake Hall.  Jenna and James then walked down the path to the Lych Gate where they were showered in confetti before leaving for the Reception. St Mary's Church Great BaddowThankfully there were no traffic hold-ups on the way, which enabled us to get straight on with Jenna and James’ pictures when arriving at Blake Hall as we had planned with them. When time is short a good plan makes a huge difference and this enabled us to get all the shots we needed of Jenna and James in the gardens whilst their Guests were welcomed by Mervyn and Austin.  Spoilt for choice of settings, we covered as much as we could before Jenna and James joined their Guests. Blake Hall Wedding photography A short time later we took some fun Bridal Party pictures and made sure we captured some informal pictures.  The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Barn and before the Speeches, time for a sunset picture! Wedding Photos Blake Hall OngarAfter the Speeches, everybody enjoyed the warm evening socialising.  The evening Guests arrived and Jenna and James took to the dance floor for their First Dance.  We finished our evening a little later after catching up with familiar faces. A lovely couple, a great day, a wonderful Venue!

  • Tyttenhanger Park Wedding Photography for Bridget & Chris

Tyttenhanger Park wedding – A new Venue for us! Bridget and Chris first saw us four years ago at Rebecca and Pete’s Wedding at Spains Hall, where they were Guests, so we were delighted to be asked to photograph their summer Wedding. It was a beautiful day when we arrived at Bridget and Chris’ house for Bridget’s final bridal preparations.  After capturing the details and accessories, we took a few pictures inside before stepping outside briefly for a couple more.  Just as we were leaving to go to the Church, the horse and carriage arrived for Bridget, her Parents and Bridesmaids.  St Thomas a Beckett Church in Northaw was the chosen Church for the marriage of Bridget and Chris.  We didn’t have long to wait  before Chris, his Parents, Best Man and Ushers arrived at the Church in a Limousine. After capturing a few pictures as they got out and a few traditional shots together with some Guest arrival pictures, we waited for Bridget. Once Bridget arrived she made her way into the Church for the service. St Thomas a Becket Church Northaw  Following the service, once all the guests had exited the Church, we got on with the requested pictures. With not much shade we worked as quickly as possible being an extremely hot day!  Bridget and Chris then left the Church in the Horse and Carriage to go to the Reception at Tyttenhanger Park.  As the Wedding Guests arrived before Bridget and Chris at Tyttenhanger Park, St Albans, they enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the superb grounds, entertained by the Harpist. We captured some lovely natural relaxed pictures of them all before Bridget and Chris arrived.  The splendid grounds of Tyttenhanger Park made a superb setting as Bridget and Chris arrived. Tyttenhanger Park wedding After they had socialised with their Guests for a little while, we took some fun bridal party pictures and a few pictures of Bridget and Chris around the grounds. Tyttenhanger Park wedding photography St AlbansAfter a big group shot it was time for the Wedding Breakfast in the Ballroom.  Before the beginning of the meal Bridget’s Dad and Chris gave their Speeches. The Best Man’s speech was after the meal after which everybody went outside and enjoyed the evening sunshine. With so many fabulous photographic opportunities at Tyttenhanger Park, we were spoilt for choice as to where to go for Bridget and Chris’ pictures, so taking a reality check, we condensed our ideas down!  Their Evening Guests were arriving and it was soon time for the cake cutting and First Dance.  Bridget and Chris entertained their Guests with a great rehearsed First Dance. Bridget and Chris wanted a sunset picture which incorporated a quick drive in our car and they were not disappointed!  A brilliant end to a brilliant day!

  • Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Anna & Chris

Prested Hall Wedding Photography – It was an early start for us arriving at Anna’s Parents’ home for the preparation pictures.  It was a beautiful day, and preparations were well underway. After capturing the getting ready shots, it was time for a few pictures in the garden which Anna’s Dad had worked so hard on to provide a nice backdrop.  It was sunny and very humid so we took the garden pictures as quickly as we could! Essex Wedding Photographer David and I then left to go St Nicolas Church, Witham. Chris and his Groomsmen were at the Church when we arrived and we managed to take a few pictures of them in between their duties.  It wasn’t long before Anna arrived, driven to the Church by her Dad in the E-Type Jag. With all the Guests in the Church she made her way up the path and into the Church with her Dad followed by the Bridesmaids. During the service there was an almighty downpour which was quickly followed by brilliant sunshine!  At the end of the Ceremony, Anna and Chris led their Guests out of the Church for some requested family photographs. Once these were finished everybody made their way to the gate for the confetti pictures, before leaving for the Reception. Wedding Photographer Essex Anna and Chris wanted some pictures with the car along the driveway to Prested Hall, which we were happy to do.  Timings were perfect, us arriving, getting set up just as they turned into the driveway.  It was a great fun session with Anna and Chris also rehearsing (without music!) their dance steps for later, with us getting the fun images we wanted.  Anna and Chris then joined their Guests for the Drinks Reception whilst we took a few informal pictures. A little while later as we were starting to organise the everybody picture, the rain made another appearance!  The Wedding Breakfast beckoned!  After the meal, we covered the Speeches, which was then followed by a second attempt at the ‘everybody’ picture with more  success this time!  Before the start of the evening celebrations and the arrival of their evening Guests, we took the happy couple for a short walk around the grounds of Prested Hall for a few relaxed pictures.  Being a day of good but mixed weather, they ended up with a brilliant sunset picture as well as a rainbow picture!Wedding Photographer Essex Essex Wedding Photographer Later Anna and Chris’ s rehearsed First Dance wowed their Guests before they joined them on the dance floor.  It was nice to see familiar family members again. • Forrester Park Wedding Photography for Carly & Craig

Forrester Park Wedding Photographyh – Carly’s Bridal preparations were well underway when we arrived to photograph them on the morning of her Wedding to Craig at St Bartholomews Church, Wickham Bishops.  Whilst taking some accessories pictures as well as the ‘getting ready’pictures, not on the cards for the day, the heavens opened!  Fortunately it didn’t last very long and after taking a few pictures of Carly with her Bridesmaids, Abi and Chelsea inside, we stepped outside for the rest. Leaving Carly, we went to St Bartholomews Church, Wickham Bishop, arriving just as Craig with his Parents, Best Men and Ushers arrived.  This allowed us to get some great informal pictures of them before the more arranged portraits.

Forrester Park Wedding PhotographersForrester Park is between Maldon and Tiptree, Essex, near the village of Great Totham and was the chosen Wedding Venue for Carly and Craig’s Wedding Reception.  The Drinks Reception was held in the grounds of Forrester Park, with Guests looking for the shade as the sun was shining brightly and the temperature was rising! We captured some informal pictures during this time and in between took a few smaller group pictures and fun bridal party pictures.  Having a little time before the ‘everybody’ picture and the Wedding Breakfast, Carly, Craig and ourselves went for a quick walk around the grounds for a few pictures of them.  After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, everybody enjoyed the evening sunshine and the evening Guests joined them.  Carly and Craig asked to do some relaxed more informal pictures which were were more than happy to take so off we went for a little while.  What a fun time we had!

Maldon Essex Photographer Essex As we returned, more of their Evening Guests had arrived and after talking to them for a little while, it was time for the First Dance.  Whilst the dancing carried on we kept a close eye on the sun going down, which was producing some wonderful colours in the sky.  A wonderful sunset followed!  Tiptree Wedding Photographer EssexThank you to Carly and Craig for wanting to do such a variety of pictures.
