We have always offered photography for small weddings which due to the Pandemic are now back in fashion!
Being a smaller wedding does not make it a less important moment to record. Whether it is a Registry Office, Town Hall, church or Venue we are happy to work with you.
Let Your Guests Enjoy Themselves
You can of course just get camera phone pictures which can be really good in the right hands but then you are leaving that responsibility to one of your guests, who should be enjoying your day not stressing over the pictures!
Our service is discrete, quick, professional and probably less expensive that you may think.
Do contact us! Short notice photography for small weddings is often possible.
It was a lovely morning when we met Stewart, Connie and the children for some family portraits.
Outdoor Location
We had arranged to meet them early in morning at Beeleigh Weir, Maldon. Our aim was to take some pictures of them all before it became too busy. Good timing, we knew it was going to be a nice day and this setting attracts lots of people.
Pandemic Family Portraits!
Covid Restrictions had been lifted a little, therefore more people were about. Meeting in the car park we then went for a walk. We had researched the location and knew what we wanted to do, and the spots we wanted to utilise.
Social Distancing
Use of a longer focal length lens is aways and advantage for this type of work making Social Distancing no problem.
Stewart and Connie wanted family portraits as well as individuals of the children, Jackson, Victoria and Albert. The three children together proved to be the trickiest but we managed it! Thanks Jackson for your help!
Stewart and Connie ended up with a variety of pictures from an enjoyable morning spent with a lovely family.
What a lovely enjoyable afternoon we had with Catherine, Jamie, Stanley and Lucinda a few weeks ago making their Baby & Family Portraits!
Lockdown Delay
Catherine and Jamies wanted some pictures taken of their two children as well as some family pictures. Originally this was arranged a couple of months ago but ‘lockdown’ put paid to that! The weather on this particular afternoon was just right, not too hot and a breeze. We went for a walk not far from where we live and found a secluded area off the main footpath for the pictures.
The trees gave us shade as well as providing a nice backdrop. Stanley’s pictures were mostly on the move! No problem! Lucinda’s pictures on the other hand were the opposite! Being eight months old, Lucinda was crawling but enjoyed sitting on the blanket with her toys or just watching what was going on.
A Nice Selection
Catherine and Jamie ended up with a great selection of Baby & Family Portraits taken during the afternoon. They were really pleased and so were we!
Family pictures was our first job when restrictions were lifted due to Covid-19! We were allowed to take environmental photo shoots observing social distancing. What a lovely family to be our first clients!
Pictures in the back garden
We had met Laura and David before when we visited them a few years ago when their daughter Amber was born. Now they had a new addition to the family, Meghan. It was a lovely morning when we met up and it was decided to use their garden as the backdrop to the pictures. We took a variety of pictures, family group pictures and individuals. Meghan was fine throughout the time, sleeping mostly! Amber was quite happy outside, playing with her toys in between some pictures. We had an enjoyable time, keeping your distance worked, although it did feel rather odd as contact in our line of work helps. Still, we managed it and ended up with a nice selection of pictures for the family.
Lovely to actually get back working again and happy that we are able to take pictures within the restrictions.
David has been very busy with Mentoring and Training for The Guild of Photographers. David is a Judge and Mentor with this Organisation. This has kept him busy during Lockdown.
David has been assisting members with feedback on their competition pictures. Qualification Mentoring involves helping Members with their images before going for the different levels of Qualification. He enjoys doing this and received compliments for his efforts and guidance.
David also provided two Webinars for The Guild . This was new but was well received.
David’s first job photographing when restrictions were lifted in ‘lockdown’ was Property Photography.
The client wanted interior and exterior pictures taken of his house for online estate agents. Availability or time to do the job was definitely not a problem! Appropriate precautions were taken. All went well.
By the next day the client had the pictures and was able to put the house up for sale. Not only was the client happy with the pictures, we also saved him money!
Emma and Adam arranged to come and see us one morning in March for their Engagement Pictures and to talk about their forthcoming Wedding.
We discussed their Wedding plans for Fennes in April and then went to our local River Walk to take a few pictures. Lovely to get together with them again and we captured some nice Engagement pictures.
COVID-19 Lockdown
Then came the announcement ‘lockdown’! It wasn’t very long before Emma and Adam contacted us again, their Wedding like so many others had to be rescheduled! A very stressful time for Emma and Adam. We look forward to photographing their Wedding later in the year.
Val had been given one of our Pet Photography Vouchers as a present and wanted to redeem it.
We found a convenient day and time when we could go to her home and take some pictures of her lovely Golden Poodle, Lottie. What a good dog Lottie was! Extremely interested in what we were doing but the treats worked well!
Val was happy with the pictures and so were we! Thank you Lottie!
It was nice to catch up with Val in a different setting. Val is a Registrar so we regularly see her at Weddings.
Leez Priory Wedding Photography for Anna and Leon turned out to be our last wedding before Lockdown!
Anna and Leon chose the stunning Wedding Venue, Leez Priory for their early spring Wedding this year.
A Lovely Spring Day
It was a lovely day, dry and bright. Arriving at Leez Priory we went to see Anna who was upstairs with her Mother and Bridesmaids. Hair and make-up were being carried out so we got on with taking a few pictures of this and of Anna’s Wedding Dress and accessories.
The Groom’s Party
Leon and his Groomsmen arrived shortly after us and went off to finish their preparations. Once they were ready they had a few pictures taken outside. The Pageboys including Anna and Leon’s son, Theo, looked great in their suits.
Once the Bridesmaids were ready they assisted Anna with her dress.
The Wedding Guests arrived they socialised in the bar area before moving upstairs to the Great Hall when it was time for the Wedding Ceremony.
There was time to take a variety of pictures before it was time to go downstairs for Anna to meet with the Registrars. Anna then made her way with her Mother, Flowergirl and Bridesmaids to the Great Hall. Before entering the room, Anna took her Mum’s arm and then they walked in.
Wedding in The Great Hall
Theo was wondering what was going on at this point and so he joined Anna and Leon for the whole of the Ceremony, not wanting to leave their side. After Anna and Leon exchanged their vows, they moved to the table to sign the Register. Theo did not want to be left out so he joined them. Once the formalities were completed the three of them walked down the aisle and made their way outside.
Making the most of the weather we got on straight away with a few requested pictures. These pictures went really well, we had everybody there that we needed. We finished off with the bridal party pictures before everyone went inside. We knew we would have some time later on to take Anna and Leon for a short walk around the grounds for their pictures.
Relaxed Photos of Guests
Anna and Leon and everyone else then enjoyed the Drinks Reception. The children during the Drinks Reception had a treat in store. Marko the Magician gave a entertaining magic show for all the children. This event went down very well with the children and actually the adults as well! Some lovely captured pictures, not forgetting the adults enjoying the Drinks Reception as well.
Time for Relaxed Portraits
We took Anna and Leona for a short walk around Leez Priory which is always a must. Some nice pictures by the lake and daffodils. Afterwards before moving up to the Coach House for the Wedding Breakfast everyone showered Anna and Leon with petals.
The meal was served, then it was time for the Speeches. Anna contributed and Anna and Leon revealed the gender of their next child to be born. This answered the questions asked during the day! Afterwards everyone left the Coach House and returned to the main house. A mixture of pictures were taken during the late afternoon and early evening before the Evening Guests arrived, including a picture of Anna and Leon by the Tower.
The Band was set up in the Carriageway and started playing. The Guests watched and Leon joined in on his guitar. Anna and Leon cut their Wedding Cake a little time later and then the DJ called them into the room for their First Dance.
Our coverage of Anna and Leon’s Wedding then ended. A wonderful day! Lovely to catch up with Sarah, Anna’s sister and family again. Thank you Anna and Leon to ask us to do your Leez Priory Wedding Photography for your special day. Congratulations!
We were booked for the Farleigh Charity Ball 2020 to do Event Photography Chelmsford City Racecourse. Event photography is always satisfying by raising money for charity and fun especilly when there is a theme!
Great Gatsby Theme
Guests were dressed up 1920’s Great Gatsby style, pictures were a must! Everyone had gone to so much trouble with their outfits so we were very pleased we were there to photograph their efforts. As the Guests arrived, we were able to take pictures individually or in groups. This proved to be very popular throughout the evening, before the meal as well as during and afterwards! To say we were busy is an understatement!
New Event Printer
Using our new Event Photography printer was a baptism of fire! Yes, it did survive as did we, much busier than we anticipated! We were very pleased with the prints! Before the end of the evening celebrations Guests were all able to take home their reminder of a memorable event.
A massive ‘thank you’ to Debbie de Bolz and her team for all their hard work in organising such a fantastic event. David and I were very pleased to give Farleigh a very worthwhile Donation for such a wonderful Charity.
Can we help you with Event Photography Chelmsford or anywhere else?
