It was a lovely to do the Fennes Wedding Photography for Becca & Kieran in May this year.
Preparations were well underway when we arrived at Fennes during the morning of the Wedding. The weather was not playing ball , it was raining but we were hopeful and according to the forecast it would be better later on. Once Kieran and his Groomsmen were ready they had a few pictures taken, as did Becca and the girls later.
Soon it was time for the Ceremony in the Pavilion. Becca and her Dad followed the Bridesmaids into the Pavilion for the Wedding to start. While the Ceremony was taking place the rain stopped. Yes, we could now go outside for the pictures. The afternoon outside allowed Becca, Kieran and their Guests enjoy being in the grounds of Fennes for the Drinks Reception. Becca and Kieran wanted a few family group pictures taken and we took Becca and Kieran for a few pictures of them during the afternoon.
Confetti pictures in the corridor in the house worked well before they sat down for the Wedding Breakfast.
Speeches were before the meal. Cake cutting and First Dance were later in the evening leaving them time to enjoy the grounds of Fennes.
Sparklers pictures finished our coverage of Becca and Kieran’s lovely Wedding day.
We said our goodbyes for the day but we were going to see them two days later!
Over the years The Old Essex Barn (formerly Crabbs Barn) has been a very good place for us to work. Great to be back at this fabulous venue and see the numerous upgrades from the new owners.
The Old Essex Barn is a good size for many weddings and events – not too big, not too small!
We couldn’t write a better description than on their website:-
a simply stunning renovated barn from the 15th Century, located on the outskirts of the quiet village of Kelvedon. The Barn itself oozes character, with its beautiful historic oak timbers and vaulted ceilings, it truly is a special place to say “I do”.
The venue and facilities are exclusively yours, so you can relax and enjoy your day with your friends and family. Every couples’ special day is unique we treat each wedding differently, providing you with a highly personalised and attentive service.
Such a lovely Smeetham Hall Barn wedding for Dawn and Nick in May this year. Our day started at Dawn and Nick’s home which was where Dawn was getting ready. All was going well with Dawn’s Father enjoying watching the many preparations going on. Time raced by, the two Bridesmaids, Mitzi and Elizabeth were soon ready, closely followed by Dawn. Dawn looked wonderful! Outside we went for a few pictures before we left for the Church. Molly, Dawn and Nick’s dog, Molly joined the girls.
St Andrew’s Church, Bulmer, was our destination and one of our favourite Churches and sunshine greeted us. Nick and his Groomsmen were there so we took a few pictures of them. Guest arrival pictures are always good here and today was no exception. Soon everybody was in the Church.
The Bride Arrives
Dawn arrived to be greeted by Molly, who was very pleased to see her! Molly would Molly be the Ring Bearer today when it was time! Following Dawn and Nick’s vows, Molly was there waiting with the rings!
Perfect! Following the service Guests showered the couple with confetti as they walked up the path to the car.
Smeetham Hall Barn Reception
Smeetham Hall Barn looked a picture as always. Drinks and canapes were served on the lawn. During the afternoon a mixture of family group pictures , Bride and Groom pictures and informal ones were taken as well.
The Wedding Breakfast was followed by the Speeches. It was a beautiful evening and all enjoyed socialising in the grounds of Smeetham. Evening Guests arrived to join in with the celebrations. After a while Dawn and Nick took to the dance floor for their First Dance.
A Ceilidh followed and it was great to see so many people joining in and having fun. A little while later it was time for us to say our goodbyes.
Thank you Dawn and Nick for asking us to photograph your Wedding, it was a beautiful day. Wonderful to catch up with a surprising number people who are known to us!
Yes, finally, Catherine and Adam’s Wedding at Fennes! After postponements, due to Covid and the birth of their daughter, Felicity, the Wedding finally took place!
Catherine and her Bridesmaids were getting ready at Fennes and all was going well.
The Camper Van was waiting to take Adam and his Groomsmen to St Mary’s Church Bocking for the Wedding service but there was time to take a few pictures of them before leaving.
Time as always was going very fast but we managed to take a few pictures of the girls before they left.
All Felicity wanted when we got to the Church was her Mum! No problem, Catherine carried her into the Church. Felicity loved being a part of her Mum and Dad’s Wedding Day.
A few pictures outside the Church and off we went back to Fennes,
A lovely relaxed afternoon was spent at Fennes enjoying the wonderful weather. We spent a little time with Catherine and Adam, taking a few pictures of them on the Bridge.
It was a beautiful evening after the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches so outside was the place to be. Sparklers finished our coverage of Catherine and Adam’s lovely Wedding Day.
Well, we had been keeping our fingers crossed for a long while for Sarah and David’s Wedding Day. Postponements, weather, hoping to be Covid free, were only a few things we were concerned about! Not only were we Sarah and David’s Wedding Photographers, but Guests at their Wedding, Grandparents to the Flowergirl and Pageboy and consequently knew many people at the Wedding!
An early start was the order for the day and what a beautiful day it was with it being very warm indeed!Preparations were going very well, timekeeping was spot on (thank you Katie (daughter-in-law)! Sarah was soon ready and looked fabulous! Pictures were taken before we left, inside and outside. A lovely garden Michael!
Time for us to depart for St Mary The Virgin, High Easter. Guests were arriving and it was good to find a bit of shade now the sun had come out for some arrival shots. Time to get on with some pictures of David and his Groomsmen before they disappeared into the Church.
Sarah arrived and entered the Church. Only one Grandchild shout out of ‘Grandad’ in the Church, that was good for us trying to be discreet as usual! Requested Group pictures outside the church were taken, then all off to Vaulty Manor, Heybridge.
A great afternoon was had at Vaulty Manor with relaxation in full swing. Capturing a few pictures of the happy couple during the afternoon we were able to do, knowing there would be more later in the evening light.
The Wedding Breakfast and Speeches were later, with everyone then enjoying the wonderful weather outside, having fun. Johnny B Goode were the entertainers for the evening and we all know how good they are! Dancing carried on all evening interrupted only by Sparklers.
Well, what an amazing day! Sarah and David, thank you so much for such a memorable day.. Thank you also Sarah and David for letting our trainee Kieron be there with us at the Church and gain some invaluable experience.
Lovely to be back earlier in the Spring at one of our favourite WeddingVenues, Layer Marney Tower. With it’s new Barn up and running, what a nice addition to this beautiful Venue.
Lots going on for the Wedding of Andrea and Terry on a beautiful Spring day this year. Starting at their home, then a visit to the local pub where the Layer Marney Bus was waiting to take Terry and some guests off to Layer Marney.
Layer Marney Tower looked glorious as Andrea and Terry’s Guests arrived. Once Andrea arrived the Wedding Ceremony started.
Afterwards everybody enjoyed the drinks and canapes in the gardens.
Spencer Wood of kept Guests entertained throughout afternoon. Nice seeing you again Spencer! We enjoyed taking great informal pictures whilst waiting for Andrea and Terry to return from their car ride.
Ending the afternoon, pictures of Andrea and Terry around the grounds for their togther pictures finishing with confetti on the stairs.
After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches., Guests had the choice of staying outside or going inside the new Barn for the evening celebrations and later the First Dance.
Fireworks finished a wonderful Wedding Day for Andrea and Terry.
Sara and Paul were married earlier this year at St Vincent de Paul RC Church, Dagenham and their Reception followed at Crondon Park.
The weather unfortunately was not the best for the day, Following the Church service, off we went to Crondon Park.
Something different, a Chinese Tea party, which was enjoyed by everyone took place during the afternoon. After the Chinese Tea Party and the Wedding Breakfast, we caught up with a few group pictures and a few pictures of Paul and Sara.
Throughout the day lots of great informal pictures.
