    Natural Family Portraits Essex

What a lovely morning taking natural family portraits! We just love meeting up with past clients who have now become friends! Spending time catching up on news, whilst capturing some lovely pictures.  Lottie and Rich were married in 2007 at Burgh Island, Devon and now have two daughters, Matilda and Imogen. They wanted some up-to-date pictures of the girls,  some family pictures, including the Grandparents pictures of course, at their Parents’ home.  They were not disappointed and we are looking forward to the next time. We provided them individual prints, a canvas and a beautiful keepsake book.

  • Prested Hall Wedding Photographer for Charlotte & Lee

    Prested Hall Wedding Photographer

Prested Hall, Feering was the Wedding Venue chosen by Charlotte and Lee for their Civil Ceremony and Wedding Reception.  Charlotte and her Bridesmaids were getting ready upstairs in the Bridal Suite so we captured these moments as well as taking the detail and accessory pictures.  Charlotte & Lee’s sons, together with Lee and his Groomsmen  arrived so David went off to meet  them for some pictures.  Once  Charlotte and her Bridesmaids were dressed and ready we took a few pictures. The Ceremony was in the Orangery, so when it was time, with the Harpist playing, Charlotee took her Father’s arm and they walked into the room.

Prested Hall Wedding After the Ceremony, Charlotte and Lee came out of the Orangery and went into the Lounge area, followed by their Guests.  Drinks were served and after a little time we all went outside. The weather was fine, the sun was out, and the garden games were on the lawn. During this time a few family pictures were taken, some fun bridal party pictures taken outside the front of Prested Hall.  After making sure Charlotte and Lee had socialised, it was time for some pictures of them together. A short walk around Prested Hal  provided us with the opportunity of taking some nice pictures.Prested Hall Wedding Photographer Getting some pictures of the boys was a must so picking the right time was important.  By this stage in the afternoon, Ryan and Oliver and  just wanted to have fun, fine with us!  Images achieved! The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Marquee with the Speeches following. Lee started off his Speech traditionally, then came the surprise! Playing his Guitar, singing a song, which he had written, brilliant! Prested Hall Wedding PhotographerAfter the Best Man’s Speech everybody had time to wander around the grounds or go in the house before the evening entertainment. The best place today for Charlotte and Lee’s sunset picture was a quick drive away and Charlotte and Lee were more than happy to do this! The Cake cutting and First Dance happened a little while later.  Now came the hardest part of the evening, keeping a low profile (disappearing!) as there was to be a ‘surprise’ firework display curtesy of her Dad, which Charlotte, Lee and the Guests did not know about! When everybody was ushered outside later in the evening, we reappeared! Charlotee said she thought we had gone without saying ‘goodbye’! Not us! Our time to go was after the brilliant display. A lovely day to be a Prested Hall Wedding Photographer!Wedding Photographer Prested Hall

  • Fennes Wedding Photography – Leah & Christopher

    Fennes Wedding Photography

It was a pleasure to photograph Leah and Christopher’s Wedding which was held at Fennes in the late summer.  The Fennes Estate looked a picture as always and whilst waiting for Leah to arrive we photographed the setting. Christopher arrived and made his way to Fennes Cottage where he got dressed.  Leah arrived shortly afterwards with her hair done and only the final touch up of her make-up needed. We worked with David of Rideout Productions who is one of the best wedding film makers anywhere. After taking pictures of Leah’s Dress and Accessories, Leah and the Bridesmaids put on their dresses. Fennes Wedding Photography Chris and his Groomsmen had their pictures taken in front of Fennes just before the Guests started to arrive.  Leaving Chris to greet the Guests it was time for Leah’s pictures upstairs.  The girls were so relaxed, giggling away!Fennes Wedding Photos After capturing the moments when Leah’s Dad entered the room, we finished off with taking a few pictures of Leah.  Sue (a gem! – Fennes’ front of house) arrived stating time was up! With the Bridesmaids leading the way, Leah taking her Father’s arm followed them into the Pavilion.  After the Ceremony, everybody went outside for a few requested family pictures before socialising during the Drinks Reception, with the String Quartet providing the music.  Leah and Chris wanted lots of casual pictures taken and they were not disappointed, we were spoilt for choice! For Leah and Chris’ pictures we went over to the bridge.  The ground was soft so Leah made the right choice to change into her ‘Hunter’ wellies and not spoil her wonderful shoes! Fennes Wedding PhotographerAfter the confetti pictures the Wedding Breakfast was in the Pavilion and was followed by the Speeches.  We great great moments captured in the speeches!  There was time before the cake cutting and First Dance for a little time with Leah and Chris for a few pictures in the Gold and Red rooms.  A beautiful day provided a nice sunset as well. Fennes approved Wedding PhotographerLater, finishing off with some informal pictures of Leah sand Chris’ evening Guests ended our day.  A wonderful day of Fennes wedding photography.

  • Burgh Island wedding photographer testimonial

    Burgh Island wedding photographer testimonial

Just before Christmas we finally retired one of our all time favourite sample books of ‘Lottie and Rich’ who were married on Burgh Island, Devon in 2007. Although we use mostly Graphistudio books these days we still do offer Queensberry to those who appreciate the difference. Although the pictures are timeless sadly even Queensberry albums show their age eventually with the large number of wedding exhibits we do! As the family have subsequently used us for children’s portraits a few times, we thought it would be a nice gift for the couple so we dropped the album into Lottie’s Mum. Here are some kind words she sent to us:-

“I have just been enjoying a wonderful trip down memory lane looking at the photo album (the shopping list had to take second place!). Lottie and Rich are going to be over the moon at such a fabulous surprise. I know they are going to adore the album. The photos are incredible and stunningly beautiful. Not that many are repeats of ones we chose which is a great bonus. In fact there are a few that I can hardly remember seeing. I don’t have the words to thank you, we were blessed when Sam at the Wedding Shop recommended you. The only recommendation from her I hasten to add. She said she didn’t like giving Brides suggestions but made an exception with you because your photos were the best she had ever seen. She wasn’t wrong either!!

Glad that you are having a little bit of a respite. Make sure you really relax over Christmas.

Our love to all the family,
    Karen

  • Hedingham Castle Wedding Photography for Lucy & Richard

    Hedingham Castle Wedding Photography

It was a beautiful day for the wedding of Lucy and Richard who were married at the wonderful Hedingham Castle. We started at the Garden Cottage which was a hive of activity with everybody getting ready but all was going well. Wedding Photographer Hedingham CastleOnce the Pageboys and Flowergirls were ready they went downstairs freeing up space for the Bridesmaids and Lucy to finish their preparations. Whilst this was going on, David went to meet Richard with his Best Man and Ushers who were arriving at the House. After taking some pictures he returned to the Cottage.  The girls were ready, looking beautiful, so just having enough time for a few shots of them all we set to work.  The Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboys then went in the car for the short drive to the House.  This allowed us time to take a few Bridal portraits of Lucy before the car returned to transport her to the House.  All together they then walked over the Bridge towards the Castle for the Ceremony. After they exchanged their vows they signed the Register in front of their Guests.  Whilst the Guests left the Castle to go outside, we took Lucy and Richard into the Minstrels Gallery for a few pictures before joining them all outside.Hedingham Castle Wedding Photography Moving swiftly on with taking the requested family group pictures, it wasn’t long before the Guests lined the Bridge for the confetti.  The Reception Drinks were served in the Great Hall and as the sun was still out everybody went into the gardens. The children enjoyed the freedom of the gardens to play whilst we captured the moments. During the afternoon we took a few other pictures together with a few ‘together’pictures of Lucy and Richard.  The Receiving Line preceded the Wedding Breakfast, which was held in the Marquee. Essex Wedding Photographer Hedingham Castle The Speeches followed before the beginning of the evening celebrations. After taking a few pictures of the Evening Guests and a few evening pictures of Lucy and Richard, the Band was set up ready for Lucy and Richard’s First Dance. Wedding Photographer Hedingham CastleA short time afterwards we left them them to continue their celebrations.  It was lovely to see Ross, Richard’s Brother with this wife Katie this time with their two children and other members of the family. We photographed Ross and Katie’s Wedding at Layer Marney Tower in 2007.  A lovely day!

    Wedding Photographer Layer Marney

It was a hot day for Julia and David’s Wedding Day at Layer Marney Tower, Layer-de-la-Haye. A late afternoon summer Wedding was what Julia and David chose.  We arrived  before Julia and David at Layer Marney and as the Wedding Guests arrived we took a few informal pictures.  Julia and David arrived together and had a few requested pictures taken before it was time for them to see the Registrars. Layer Marney Wedding PhotographerJulia and David then made their way into the Corsellis Room with their Flowergirl and Pageboys and greeted the Guests as they made their way to their seats. The Ceremony followed then Julia and David went for a drive together as their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception outside in the grounds.  Returning from their drive, Julia and David walked up towards the Tower and socialised with their Guests. Managing our time well we took various requested pictures as well as capturing a flavour of the day. Wedding Photographer Layer Marney Before the Wedding Breakfast we took Julia and David for a quick walk around the grounds for a few pictures of them together, including a couple of pictures in the Barn. Pictures with the cake followed before the children enjoyed throwing confetti over Julia and David on the stairs. With time upon us it was time for the Wedding Breakfast in the Long Gallery and time for us to say goodbye.Essex Wedding Photographer Layer Marney

Wedding Photographs Fennes – Dani & John

We were pleased to be asked to photograph Danielle and John’s Wedding at the wonderful Fennes. After initially booking us to photograph their Wedding next year, they decided to take advantage of an opportunity of booking the Fennes Estate for their Wedding this year. Danielle was getting ready at Fennes, helped by her Bridesmaids and Mum, so we captured the moments as they happened. When John arrived, we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen outside. Once these were taken John greeted the Guests whilst some pictures of Danielle were taken as she was now ready.  After everybody was seated in the Pavilion, Danielle came down the stairs to meet with the Registrars. She then made her way down to the Pavilion for the Civil Ceremony.Wedding Photographer Essex Fennes The forecasted rain arrived during the Ceremony so the Guests mingled in the rooms at the front of Fennes whilst we took some pictures in the Gold Room.Fennes Wedding Photographer With the requested pictures taken, on cue the rain stopped and we all went outside. After the ‘everybody’ picture we took Danielle and John over to Bridge for a few pictures of them together. As the Guests were now outside the Red Room was free and we took a few more pictures in there.Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer After managing to squeeze in some fun bridal party and confetti shots, it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches followed and then it was soon time for the evening reception. With some colour in the sky, Danielle and John ended up with some evening pictures before their First Dance. Happy with our coverage we took our leave.Wedding Photographer Fennes It was a lovely day and it was nice to see Victoria and Antony again, whose Wedding we photographed in September 2014 at Crabbs Barn. Congratulations Danielle and John!
