The Reid Rooms in the Essex countryside was Sarah & Chris’ choice of Wedding Venue for their Civil Ceremony and Wedding Reception. It was a lovely Autumn day with the weather just right. Sarah arrived at The Farmhouse at the Reid Rooms with her hair and make-up done. Once Sarah, her Parents, Bridesmaids and Flowergirl were in and all sorted they got changed. Whilst this was going on David went off to find Chris and his Best Man, Matt, to take a few pictures. When Sarah was ready we took a few bridal portraits of her before she went down the stairs to where her Father was waiting for her.
After capturing the moment we went into the Lounge to take a few pictures family pictures. As this was happening, Chris was making his way into the Ceremony Room together with the Guests. It was then Sarah’s turn to make her way to the Ceremony. so taking her Father’s arm off they walked. With the formalities of the Wedding Ceremony completed the Guests followed Sarah and Chris out into the Courtyard. 
Enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of this Wedding Venue, Sarah and Chris had time to socialise with their Guests allowing us to capture the informal moments. After the family pictures and fun Bridal pictures, it was time for us to take Sarah and Chris for a mini tour around the Reid Rooms grounds. Pleased with our photos we returned in no time at all ready for the confetti pictures.
After the Wedding Breakfast we covered the Speeches. Loving our sunset shots as we do, we had to be ready to take these soon after the Speeches finished! Once the Evening Guests had arrived it was time for the First Dance to take place. Finishing our coverage of Sarah and Chris’ Wedding Day we took a couple of pictures of them outside.

We were pleased to hear from Martin and Jess again in September last year telling us their news. They now have a daughter, Evie, and have now moved to Essex. Martin and Jess wanted some pictures of Evie and some up-dated pictures of Charlie, their Son, we couldn’t believe it was in 2010 they were married at Layer Marney Tower and almost a couple of years ago when we last photographed Charlie! When we arrived at their house, Jess was out picking up Charlie from a birthday party, which gave us some time to take some pictures of Evie. By the time they arrived back we had done this. After Charlie had told us about how much fun he had at the birthday party, he was more than happy to go outside. Martin and Jess wanted a couple of family pictures taken as well which we were able to achieve in the garden. An enjoyable time spent with a lovely family.
Vicki and Jonathan booked us for their Spains Hall wedding photography for their big day in the early Autumn last year. On the morning of the Wedding we arrived at Spains Hall and met Vicki and the Girls in Crest Lodge. Preparations were well in hand, although Vicki was going to get dressed over at the Hall in the Tapestry Room. With the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls dressed we all walked over to the Hall. Whilst the girls finished their preparations I finished off taking pictures of the details and accessories. Meanwhile, David met up with Jonathan and his Best Man, and got on with taking a few pictures of them in the Stables before they walked over to the Hall.
Once Vicki was ready, her Father joined us upstairs for a few traditional portraits before it was time for the Wedding Ceremony. The Wedding Guests took their seats in the Elizabethan Hall ready for the entrance of Vicki accompanied by her Dad. After the Ceremony, Vicki and Jonathan had a few minutes to themselves before walking back through the Elizabethan Hall to go outside. Their Guests were waiting for them and as they walked out into the sunshine, the Guests covered them with confetti.
Whilst everybody was in one place outside we decided to take the ‘everybody’ picture before they then walked around to the gardens of Spains Hall for the Drinks Reception. During the afternoon we took a few family pictures together with a few pictures of Vicki and Jonathan. When it was time for the Wedding Breakfast the Guests made their way over to the Stables and Coach House giving us some extra time with Vicki and Jonathan.
After the Wedding Breakfast and the Speeches everyone enjoyed socialising on the terrace or walking around the grounds. It was a lovely evening and we managed to get a little time with Vicki and Jonathan, before the arrival of the evening Guests, for some extra pictures, which included a wonderful sunset! 
Just before the cutting of the Wedding Cake Vicki tossed her bouquet and then Vicki and Jonathan took to the dance floor for the First Dance. After capturing a flavour of the evening celebrations it was time for us to say goodbye.
It was lovely to see Vicki and Sean again, together with their children Owen and Phoebe. We photographed Vicki and Sean’s Wedding at Crabbs Barn in June 2011 and subsequently photographed Owen several times and this was the second time we took Phoebe’s portrait! It is great to keep in contact with previous clients and become friends which Vicki and Sean truly are! The day when we took the latest pictures happened to be Owen’s Birthday, so excitement was rife! What fun we had and what great results! Child portraits are always challenging and usually fun.

We were very pleased to be asked to photograph Nikki and Rob’s Wedding Day at Fennes. Nikki works in the Accounts Office at The Fennes Estate.
Our day started at Fennes, arriving whilst the girls preparations were underway and the excitement was increasing.
Nikki and Rob chose to be married at St Mary’s Church, Bocking, so we had to be very aware of the time so we would not miss the Guys’ arrival shots at church. With pictures of the details and accessories in the bag, and everybody was ready, we got on with taking the posed pictures. After Nikki’s Dad saw her for the first time in her Wedding dress and escorted her downstairs, we went into the Gold Room.One of the nice things with Nikki and Rob choosing a Church wedding, was that the downstairs of Fennes was available for Nikki’s pictures before she went. Once we had taken the pictures we left to go to the Church. The pathway up to the St Mary’s allows for some nice Guest arrival pictures whilst Rob, his Best Man and Ushers were having a few pictures taken, before he disappeared into the Church.
Nikki arrived, took her Father’s arm and walked up the path to the Church. After the Church service we organised the few requested family pictures. The Guests then lined the path at the gate for Nikki and Rob to walk through, throwing confetti as they did so. Nikki, Rob and ourselves were first back to Fennes so after a couple of pictures with the car driven by Adrian of Vintage Dreams, we walked over to the Bridge, a must for Weddings at Fennes! With Lottie, front of house co-ordinator and the staff at Fennes as always taking good care of the Guests as they arrived, we carried on with a short tour of the grounds for Nikki and Rob’s pictures. 
They then joined the Drinks Reception and talked to their Guests. Bridal fun pictures happened later, shortly before the Wedding Breakfast. A singer entertained everybody during the Wedding Breakfast before the Speeches. Whilst waiting for the Evening Reception to start Guests enjoyed walking around in the grounds of Fennes. A short time later the evening Guests started to arrive for the Reception in the Marquee. The Pavilion looked wonderful as Nikki and Rob greeted all their Guests as they made their way in. After the cutting of the Wedding Cake they took to the dance floor for their First Dance together as man and wife. 
Making sure we were happy with our images of capturing Nikki and Rob’s special Day, catching up with people we knew, we said our ‘goodbyes’. Congratulations Nikki and Rob on a lovely day!
