We were happy to be asked to be the photographers for James and Ben’s Hedingham Castle Wedding. They had waited a long time for their special day and what a day it was!
The morning of the Wedding proved to be rather wet but we had our fingers crossed that later it would be fine. James and Ben were getting ready in the Cottage so we joined them there as the preparations were taking place. Happy and chilled everyone was and we captured some of those moments. When James and Ben were ready just a few pictures were taken of them before they made their way over to the Castle.
The Wedding Guests had taken their seats and once James and Ben arrived it was time for the Ceremony. James and Ben walked in together and the Ceremony began.
Afterwards, following a few pictures inside we went outside as it had stopped raining. Guests enjoyed the drinks Reception in the Castle and came out if they were required for pictures. James and Ben were able to spend time with their Guests before taking a short time out for pictures of the two of them. The lake looked a picture especially as it was late afternoon. Although it had been raining, therefore wet underfoot, James and Ben were happy to go over to the lake. Good timing, lovely pictures.
Heddingham Castle is not one of the easiest to get sunset pictures due to the trees. This day was great as the sunset showed high into the sky!
Returning to the Castle it was time for the Wedding Breakfast which was in the held in the wonderful Tapestry Room in the Castle. The Speeches took place after the meal as did the cake cutting.
Afterwards everyone enjoyed the evening celebrations, dancing and socialising in the Garrison Room. This was the end of our coverage for James and Ben’s Heddingham Castle Wedding, a really enjoyable day, thank you both for asking us to be a part of it.

Bruisyard Country Estate, was a new Wedding Venue for us, located near Saxmundham, Suffolk. Sandie and Jim have been together for many years and wanted to ‘tie the knot’ at Wedding Venue not too far from them, without too much fuss. They chose the Bruisyard Country Estate to celebrate with their friends and family.
The weather was lovely when we arrived, on the morning of their Wedding, so we had a good look around before anyone was about and took some pictures of the setting.
Preparations were going on in the House so we went off to find them. Sandie and Jim didn’t want getting ready pictures taken so we left them to finish getting ready. It was just as well really as Jim was feeling under the weather.
As the Guests started to arrive, they congregated in the Courtyard at outside the Barn, which was very relaxed and enabled us to get some informal pictures. Jim, his sons, Bob and Sonny, welcomed the Guests. Just before leaving the house, we took a couple of pictures of Sandie with her bridesmaids and flowergirls.
Guests took their seats for the Ceremony, just before Sandie arrived at the Barn in a camper van with her sister.
The ceremony and exchange of vows was followed by their Drinks Reception.
Unfortunately the weather had turned and it was raining, so socialising took place inside the barn, until we could go outside. We did go outside and take some pictures which was good during the afternoon.
Later it was time for the meal and as the sky was good we were able to go out and take a couple of pictures on the bridge.
The evening party started and we are pleased to say Jim felt much better in time for the dancing.
Sandie and Jim wanted their Bruisyard Country Estate wedding to be relaxed and casual and more about their friends and family than them. Happy with our coverage of what they wanted for their special day we said our goodbyes.
Always happy to discuss your wedding – do contact us.
Great to see this wonderful family again! This time for the Christening Photography of Charlotte and Paul’s youngest son, Theo. We met them at St Peter’s Church a little while before the start of the service , took a few pictures as they arrived.
Theo was extremely good during the service, although preferred to put his hand over his face when it was time to get wet!
We captured a few pictures during the service and afterwards outside a few family pictures.
A little while later we left to go to Rivenhall Golf Club, Witham, where we took a few requested pictures together with some informal pictures, during lunch.
Thank you Charlotte and Paul for asking us to carry out the Christening photography of Theo. You have a lovely family and it was a pleasure to be part of Theo’s special day. David and I look forward to the next event!

Wedding Photography at Vaulty Manor and what a day it was! Finally Emma and Amit’s Wedding Day was here! Long overdue, this day was due to take place when Covid hit! An early start for us and Kieran, who we asked to help out, on Emma and Amit’s Wedding. The weather was good from the moment we arrived and continued the whole day.
Emma and her Bridesmaids were getting ready in the Farmhouse and it was a hive of activity! All was going well, with lots going on and they were having a lovely time. Rian, Emma and Amit’s son slept through it al! Great to be there capturing lots of casual pictures as well as pictures of Emma’s Dress and accessories.
Meanwhile, Amit and his Groomsmen were getting ready in the rooms, their preparations were going well. It wasn’t long before the Guests started to arrive. By then Amit and his Groomsmen were ready so just before they greeted the Guests, a few pictures were taken.
Once the girls were ready, Emma’s Dad looked proud as he saw his daughter, a few pictures were taken upstair before we went downstairs. The men had moved away so we were able to congregate outside on the patio area.
Time for the Wedding Ceremony! The Guests were seated, Emma and the girls had walked across from the Farmhouse and were setting themselves up for their entrance. Lovely! Amit was beaming as Emma walked towards him. They exchanged their Wedding vows.
When all was complete, they walked back down the aisle and stepped into the Baronial Hall for a few minutes. Guests made their way out the front armed with confetti! Emma and Amit then walked down the steps and were covered with it!
Everyone was outside so we got on with the requested family pictures. These went well and before long everyone went to the terrace and inside to enjoy the Drinks Reception. Emma and Amit’s together pictures were taken a little while later around Vaulty Manor.
Before the Wedding Breakfast, time for the Speeches. Some great moments.
After this, time for everyone to spend the time as they wished. Emma and the Bridesmaids had fun together outside, resulting in some nice relaxed pictures.
Later Emma and Amit cut their Wedding cake before taking to the dance floor for their First Dance.
A beautiful day resulted in a nice sunset for Emma and Amit’s country Wedding.
Our final picture was of the two of them under the fairy lights.
Thank you Emma and Amit was choosing us to be your Wedding Photographers, it was a pleasure. Our thanks go to Kieran for helping us out, you did a wonderful job. Not forgetting, Jo of Browns Blooms and Balloons, as always, the flowers were wonderful.
Prested Hall Short Coverage Wedding Photography is always nice to do and being there with Jo and Karl for their Wedding Ceremony was a pleasure.
It was a beautiful late afternoon Wedding at the end of the Summer for Jo and Karl’s Wedding. When we arrived at Prested Hall we met up with Karl, who was socialising with some of the Guests. There was time to take a few pictures of Karl and his Best Man, then we left Karl to continue talking with his Guests.
Before it was time for Jo to arrive, the Guests and Karl walked over to the Gazebo. Jo arrived with her sister vey soon after. After a couple of pictures of Jo as she arrived with her sister. After Jo had seen the Registrars, it was time her Jo’s Mother to escort her to the Gazebo for the Wedding Ceremony.
The Wedding Ceremony took place in the Gazebo and then afterwards everyone enjoyed the Reception Drinks in the grounds of Prested Hall. Nice informal pictures of the Guests having an enjoyable time were taken. Jo and Karl went for a ride in the Wedding car during this time. A few requested group pictures were taken when Jo and Karl returned. We spent a few minutes with Jo and Karl walking around Prested Hall for a few pictures of them together.
The relaxed afternoon continued outside, until it was time to go inside.
We took a couple of pictures of Jo and Karl with their Wedding cake, before they did their speeches.
With Jo and Karl’s Prested Hall Short Coverage Wedding Photography completed we said our goodbyes. Thank you Jo and Karl for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers, it was a lovely day.
Hi David hope you and Sandra are well?
We absolutely love our wedding album – thank you so much. I can’t see how we can put a comment/testimonial on your website so we’re sending you in email for you to put on yourself.
David and Sandra took exceptional photos of our beautiful wedding day. They are incredibly professional, yet very relaxed and put everyone at ease. We – and our guests – didn’t notice them most of the time as they were incredibly discrete. Our wedding album is so beautiful , we are absolutely delighted! Thank you both ❤️
We will be recommending you both for sure. Take good care.
Best regards from us bothBrenda and Richard
Brenda and Richard were married at Gosfield Hall in the Spring this year.
Houchins Wedding Photography, it was a pleasure to take Wedding pictures at this lovely Wedding Venue. We had been looking forward to this date for a while. Knowing Gemma for many years, it was lovely to be asked to do the photography Gemma and Scott’s Houchins Wedding.
As forecast the weather was not at all kind to us when we arrived on the morning of the Wedding. First of all we went off to find Gemma who was getting ready in the Bridal room with her family and Bridesmaids.
Preparations were going well, lots of chatting and laughter as well. We got on with taking pictures of Gemma’s Wedding Dress and accessories. Scott and his Groomsmen were getting ready in the Farmhouse. Once they were ready we were able to take them through to the Drawing Room for a few pictures.
Meanwhile the girls were progressing nicely upstairs. Gemma was being helped by her Mum and Bridesmaids. When Gemma was ready we took couple of pictures upstairs before going downstairs.
After some pictures it was time to go across the way to the Wedding Ceremony. Wonderfully, the rain had stopped at just the right time! As the ground was very wet when Gemma came out of the Farmhouse, holding onto the back of her dress was no problem, stopping it from getting wet. Gemma looked lovely coming along the path with her Dad towards the Gazebo where Scott and the Guests were waiting.
The Wedding Ceremony commenced and aftewards the Guests lined the path so they could throw confetti.
Afterwards everyone enjoyed canapies and the drinks Reception. The requested family pictures were taken a little later on. During the afternoon a surprise for everyone. The arrival of Gemma’s horse with Adele’s, her twin sister’s horse, as well. Lovely pictures.
After various Guests had enjoyed watching, that left us with Gemma and Scott. Great pictures!
After this we took Gemma and Scott for a couple of pictures, we now had sun! We knew we would do more later.
The Wedding Breakfast was held in the barn followed by the Speeches.
Afterwards everyone enjoyed socialising on the terrace or wandering around the Wedding Garden. While the evening entertainment was being organised a few more pictures of Gemma and Scott before capturing the bouquet toss.
A walk in the nearby field gave us a few more pictures of the happy couple before they took to the dance floor for their First Dance.
A splendid day! It was lovely to see some familar faces, Adele and Danny, Sam and Paul, Claire and Sam, and several more couples, who we know very well. Thank you Gemma and Scott for letting us be there on your special day. Congratulations!
