Toni and Russell got in touch with us again in January this year. This time asking us if we could take some Family and Individual Pictures.
We have known Toni and Russell for some years now being their Wedding Photographers a few years ago at Layer Marney Tower.
We first met Aliya last year and took some pictures of her and Mum and Dad as well. As everyone knows young children grow up very quickly and capturing stages of their development is nice to look back on.
An enjoyable time with this lovely family ending up with some nice Family and Individual Pictures.
It was lovely to do the Christening Photography for Kai’s Christening earlier in the year. The ceremony was at St Nicolas Church, Witham, during the Family Service. It was a nice service and Kai was so good and fell asleep as well!
Family and friends joined Claire and Sam at their Son’s Christening and we were there to take some pictures of this happy occasion. As always we are unobtrusive and keep a low profile in Church, but managed to capture informally the important moments.
Poor Weather
After the Service as the weather was not playing ball, we took a few requested pictures in the Church. Off we all went to Wickham Bishops Village Hall for lunch. During the afternoon we took a mixture of informal and more formal pictures so that Claire and Sam had memories of the celebration. It was a lovely time and so nice to catch up with lots of people we knew! A memorable event! Lockdown has ended all our Christening Photography for now.
It was great to meet up with Josie and her family earlier in the year for some Family Pictures. We had tried before but as some of her family were coming from further away the weather prevented them on that particular day from getting into Essex. This agreed date was fine.
Selection of Pictures
Josie wanted a selection of pictures taken of her family and as it is hard to get everyone together, this date proved to be one everyone could do. As there were quite a number of them, Josie managed to acquire a room in her local Church for taking the pictures.
Portable Studio
This was ideal for us, we just brought along the backdrop required and our lights. A variety of pictures were wanted with ones of the dog as well! No problem. It was a nice afternoon taking these pictures for a lovely family, ending up with some nice pictures. Thank you to Josie for getting everyone together.
Amanda and David came to see us for their Pre-Wedding Pictures and to talk about their forthcoming Wedding at Layer Marney Tower.
We chatted over coffee, filled in the remaining details of their Wedding day, and then went for a walk locally.
Some nice pictures taken just along by the river even though the weather was a touch dull. We are looking forward to their Wedding incorporating a Rock & Roll theme!
Collette and Mark renewed their Wedding Vows at Prested Hall earlier this year. Collette and Mark’s daughter-in-law April, got in touch with us about capturing the Renewal of Vows Ceremony for Collette and Mark. When we arrived at Prested Hall early afternoon on the day of the Ceremony we went upstairs to see Collette. Collette was getting ready with her daughters and Granddaughters who were the Flowergirls . Preparations were going well. David went off to find Mark and his Groomsmen and take some pictures of them.
After this Guests were arriving so they socialised with them for a short while. Collette was soon ready and we got on with taking a few pictures of her and with her grandchildren when they were ready. The Guests made their way into the Oak Room for the Ceremony but Mark came upstairs. Collette and Mark wanted to come down the stairs and go into the Ceremony Room together. A nice Ceremony with Collette and Mark exchanging rings to mark the occasion.
After the Ceremony we went outside to take a few requested family pictures and any other pictures that were required. Everyone then enjoyed a Drinks Reception.
During the afternoon we took some informal pictures of everyone before taking Collette and Mark over to the Bridge for their pictures.
The Orangery looked lovely, as did the long table for everyone to sit at for their meal after we returned. A nice arrangement to a wonderful event. Leaving them to enjoy their meal and the rest of the celebrations we said our goodbyes.
Bethany got in touch with us in the Autumn last year regarding taking some outdoor Environmental Family Pictures.
A date and location was arranged with fingers crossed for the weather! On the set afternoon, the weather was fine. Autumn is such a lovely time of year to have outside pictures taken.
Our location was Tiptree Heath. The trees were changing colour and dropping their leaves, making a lovely backdrop. The children were happy to wander along and we made use of the natural props around to take some pictures. A nice set of family pictures taken, groups and individuals.
It was lovely to see Emma, David and Luca again. This time we were looking forward to meeting the newest member of the family, Enzo, as well . Emma and David wanted to up date their family pictures and asked us to do so. We went to their home one afternoon to take the pictures.
The last time we had seen Luca was a few years ago, when he was a baby. A proper little boy now and full of beans! He definitely wanted pictures of him in his Spiderman outfit and we were happy to oblige! A nice afternoon spent with this lovely family. We captured some family pictures as well as individual pictures of the boys.
It was nice when Paul got in touch with us again towards the end of last year for an updated Family Portrait.
Paul’s Mum and Dad wanted to up date the canvas picture they had of their three sons. We had taken the previous one 10 years ago! Paul and his Brothers came to us to have their picture taken.
We kept the arrangement the same aspreviously. The picture was done in next to no time.
The Family Portrait they chose was printed on canvas and framed in a virtually identical frame.
Hopefully we’ll be able to do another update in 10 years time!
Environmental Family Portraiture in a Country Park.
Trying to get everyone together for a little time is always a task and for this session it was the same.
The weather just about held although a touch dim and damp at the time we took to do the pictures.
Gail and Fiona wanted to provide an updated picture of all of them for their Mum and Dad as a present for Christmas as well as a few other pictures.
Country Park Photography
Meeting outdoors was the obvious choice and Clare Country Park was our agreed place. It was great to see, catch up, walk, talk and take some pictures and ending up with a good selection of formal and informal pictures to choose from.
With a wide range of ages and children who took a litte cajooling, we didn’t do too bad Environmental Family Portraiture! A big thank you to all of them!
