One of the hardest things we have to do is supply pictures from our archives, of people who have lost their lives. As we make our living from happy events, these pictures are usually supplied for a donation to whatever charity is relevant.

Sunday 11 January 2009 we are exhibiting at Lords Golf & Country Club, Rayleigh, Essex. Why not come and have an informal chat about your wedding plans and look at our work. Opening times 11.0am-4.0pm
New Year is the time for many people to reflect on the year past and on the year to come, we are no different.
The year past – one of our best ever. We have photographed 67 weddings at many locations throughout Essex, Suffolk and beyond as well as many portraits. We have worked with and met so many nice people this year, a big thank you to you all!! An award of Excellence from ‘Wedding & Portrait Photographers International’ was very special, another next year would be sublime but we will have to wait for February to see about that! Helping some friends work towards their photographic goals was very rewarding.
The year to come – We are both looking towards the great learning experience by visiting the WPPI international convention in Las Vegas (a real hardship, he he!!) and are hoping to return with some fresh ideas to move our photography forwards. We are also very much looking forward to working with some great clients in the year to come.
Wishing a very Happy New Year to all our friends, suppliers & clients both past and present.
David & Sandra

Well it’s that time of year to wish all our clients, suppliers and friends a very merry Christmas.
We hope that we bring many smiles as our photographs are received – that’s what we really like to do, make people happy with weddings and portraits.
Our regular readers may remember the secret job from a few weeks back – well we can reveal it now, chickens! Yes we did a portrait of these fine ladies, and no it’s not because they are on the table tomorrow dinner time!
Merry Christmas,
David & Sandra

Claire & Stewart descided they wanted a home session for their Engagement pictures, which is always a pleasure when time permits. We will be photographing the wedding of Claire & Stewart at Leez Priory, Chelmsford, Essex next year and we are now very much looking forward to it!

Katie & Kieron picked an excellent day for their wedding at The Fennes, Bocking, Essex. The Fennes is a great venue even if the weather is poor. As Katie & Keiron are going on a long Honeymoon we worked late so we could upload their pictures for them to see before they go. We hope they have a great time on their travels.

This was our penultimate wedding for 2008, to descride the weather as bad for wedding photography would be something of an understatment! Having said that Esther & Tim smiled all day and did not let it bother them – even when Esther’s veil blew away as she was entering the church, great picture Sandra! The wedding ceremony took place at Frinton Free Church in Essex and provided an ideal location for the family groups, Colchester Town Hall provided an excellent location for some bridal portraits. A very nice family to work with! We look forward to returning to Frinton with Esther & Tim for some beach photographs hopefully with slightly better conditions…..

Sandra’s baby photography skills were in use again today for 8 month old Nicole. We photographed Nicole’s parents wedding almost 2 years ago at Layer Marney Tower. It is alway nice to see how ‘our’ Brides & Grooms are moving on in life. This image is probably not the first choice of many Mums (& yes we do have smiley ones!) but we think it is really sweet and just captures her as she is.

Sandra & myself enjoyed an annual Festive lunch at one of the great wedding venues in Suffolk, Hintlesham Hall. This was with 14 of our main photographic rivals (who are also good friends!) from around the Essex & Suffolk border area. The food at Hintlesham Hall is delightful and well worth a visit.
Today was spent in London with my good friend and ‘rival photographer’ Kevin Pengelly -yes competitors really can get on! First we visited an exhibition by Nikon whose Professional cameras we both use and are both members of their Professional Service. Then we visited the National Portrait Gallery for the Annie Leibovitch exhibition which was extremely inspiring, anybody with an interest in people photography will appreciate it.
