  • Wedding at Frinton Free Church and Colchester Town Hall, Essex

This was our penultimate wedding for 2008, to descride the weather as bad for wedding photography would be something of an understatment! Having said that Esther & Tim smiled all day and did not let it bother them – even when Esther’s veil blew away as she was entering the church, great picture Sandra! The wedding ceremony took place at Frinton Free Church in Essex and provided an ideal location for the family groups, Colchester Town Hall provided an excellent location for some bridal portraits. A very nice family to work with! We look forward to returning to Frinton with Esther & Tim for some beach photographs hopefully with slightly better conditions…..

  • Baby photography in the home

Sandra’s baby photography skills were in use again today for 8 month old Nicole. We photographed Nicole’s parents wedding almost 2 years ago at Layer Marney Tower. It is alway nice to see how ‘our’ Brides & Grooms are moving on in life. This image is probably not the first choice of many Mums (& yes we do have smiley ones!) but we think it is really sweet and just captures her as she is.

  • Christmas dinner with the competition

Sandra & myself enjoyed an annual Festive lunch at one of the great wedding venues in Suffolk, Hintlesham Hall.  This was with 14 of our main photographic rivals (who are also good friends!) from around the Essex & Suffolk border area. The food at Hintlesham Hall is delightful and well worth a visit.

  • Essex & Suffolk wedding photography educational day

Today was spent in London with my good friend and ‘rival photographer’ Kevin Pengelly -yes competitors really can get on! First we visited an exhibition by Nikon whose Professional cameras we both use and are both members of their Professional Service. Then we visited the National Portrait Gallery for the Annie Leibovitch exhibition which was extremely inspiring, anybody with an interest in people photography will appreciate it.

  • What to buy for an 80 year old!

So many families get stuck with what to buy for the older generations for special birthdays – why not buy them a portrait of those they love? This is how the Luckie family solved their problem. We have had the pleasure of working with them before at Jo & Oliver’s wedding last year at Dunmow, Essex with a reception at Maidens Barn and we are looking forward to photographing Amanda & Lee’s wedding in 2010 at Spains Hall, Finchingfield, Essex. A lovelly family to work with!

  • Studio portrait photography

Joana made a fantastic subject to photograph in the studio. Although she really wanted something in an outdoors enviornmental setting the weather was against us! We do hope to photograph her again in the spring!

  • Benton Hall Golf Club, Witham, Essex

For the third year in sucussion we have been priveledged to create the Captain and Lady Captain’s portraits for the Club house at Benton Hall.

  • Wedding photography at Leez Priory

A very cold day for wedding photography at the stunning Leez Priory near Chelmsford, Essex. Kate & Richard put on a fabulous day for their family & friends who, despite the cold did their part for the happy couple’s (or should that be trio’s?) wedding photographs. For us when the weather is not fantastic outside we do have more opportunity to work with the beautiful interiors.

  • Family portrait for past wedding client

Creating family portraits is always a pleasure especially when it is for a couple whose wedding photography we did in 2006 at Smeetham Hall Barn, Essex. The arrival of Joseph has now made them into a family. We created a range of family and individual pictures for them.

  • Pre-wedding pictures

I met Katie & Jeff for a rather chilly pre-wedding portrait at Danbury Country Park, near Chelmsford, Essex. They are getting married next year at Layer Marney Tower near Colchester, Essex and I look forward to being their wedding photographer.
