A return to the Doe Show at Ulting, Maldon, Essex today as the weather permitted the demonstrations to proceed in the fields. I was briefed to capture the crowds watching. Getting the timing, lighting, exposure, lens choice and angle of view correct are all you need to do!!
Kathy & Steve called in for some Passport photographs and we persuaded them to sit for a quick portrait, just to demonstrate how much better they can look than passport photos!
Today was the start of the Doe Show 2009, an annual event held at Ulting, Maldon, Essex which I have been booked to photograph for the last 8 years. The show attracts thousands of farmers from across the south-east of England. The usual equipment demontrations in the fields were cancled today because of the frozen ground but the remainder of the show went ahead as planned.

This Sunday 1st February, we will be exhibiting our wedding photography at Charter Hall Colchester, Essex from 10.0am – 4.0pm. This is usually one of the busiest Fairs we attend why not stop and talk about your wedding in Essex, Suffolk or anywhere else!
We were asked recently why we were more expensive than another photographer? Good question, however, perhaps the question should have been reversed ‘why are they so cheap?’
Do they have any experience of photographing weddings? Do they have insurance? Do they have Photography Qualifications from BIPP or MPA, the only recognised UK Qualifing bodies? What quality are the albums and can they show you completed albums from full weddings? How long have they been in business or living at the same address? Do they let you know their address or is it just e-mail and a mobile? Do they have any client testimonials? Do they have back-up equipment of a high standard?
The credit crunch may last a year or two – your wedding pictures should last a lifetime. Why risk a cowboy?

Sunday 25th January 2009 we will be exhibiting at the fantastic Layer Marney Tower, near Colchester, Essex. Opening times are 11,0am – 4.0pm. Layer Marney Tower is a great venue for a relaxed wedding and beautiful photographs.
