Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography – Rosie & Ross

Rosie and Ross chose the wonderful Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer, as their venue for their Wedding. Our day started at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury, where Rosie, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready. After taking a few getting ready pictures and pictures of Rosie’s Wedding Dress and Accessories, the girls got dressed.Sudbury Wedding Photographer Whilst this was happening we had found a good area for taking a few pictures of them. This was only a few steps from the room they were in. Luckily, we didn’t come into contact with any Guests going to the Wedding! It was a good spot, we worked quickly as we had to leave to get to Smeetham Hall Barn. Suffolk Wedding PhotographerArriving at Smeetham Hall Barn, Ross was greeting a few Guests.  Once we had got all the Groomsmen together we took a few pictures of them after which they resumed their duties. Rosie arrived and after seeing the Registrars, with the Bridesmaids leading the way walked into the Barn, accompanied by her Father.

    The Barn looked wonderful

The Barn looked wonderful, decorated by W.Flowers. After the Ceremony, everyone went outside and enjoyed the Drinks Reception.  The weather was lovely and Rosie and Ross were able to take full advantage off socialising and having pictures around the grounds.

Following the requested group pictures. Rosie and Ross resumed mingling with their Guests.

During the afternoon we took the Bridal Party to the lawn infant of the House for some pictures and whilst we were there we took Rosie & Ross’ ‘together’pictures.Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography We rounded off the afternoon pictures with the the throwing of confetti. It was then time for the Wedding Breakfast and afterwards the Speeches. Straight after the Speeches, Rosie, Ross and ourselves headed away from the Guests to the fields at the back of Smeetham. Well worth the mini trek!Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographer When we returned the Evening Guests had arrived. It was time for the cake cutting and the First Dance.  Capturing a few informal pictures after it was then time for us to say our ‘goodbyes’. A great day, and a nice couple.

Wedding Photography for Maria & Ian

It was a bright dry day when we arrived at Crabbs Barn for the Wedding Photography for Maria and Ian.  Maria was getting ready in the Bridal room and we joined her to take a few pictures of her Wedding Dress and Accessories, as well as a few ‘capture the moment’ shots.

When Ian arrived before he got on with  greeting too many of the Guests, we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen. Everyone mingled until it was time to go inside the Barn for the Ceremony. Maria was soon ready and was joined by the Bridesmaids. After a few pictures, it was time to walk around to the Barn. Rain started to fall so we hurried inside quicker than usual.Wedding Photography Essex

    The Reception

Following the Ceremony, the Guests went into the Garden Room for the Drinks Reception, whilst we took Maria and Ian for a couple of pictures at the gate. The rain had stopped and the ground was drying up. Maria and Ian then joined their Guests.Crabbs Barn Wedding Photographer A little while later we went outside and took the requested family pictures with a variety of others. We managed to take Maria and Ian for a quick walk around the grounds before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast.

The Speeches followed, during this time it rained again but worked nicely for Maria and Ian because just as the Speeches had finished a rainbow appeared! A nice picture followed by the Guests joining us for the confetti pictures.Wedding Photographer Crabbs Barn By now it was nice evening,  sunny and the children and adults had the choice of staying outside or return to the Garden Room.  For their entertainment a Magician was on hand, whilst  we took Maria and Ian out into the lane for a couple of sunset pictures. As we returned the Evening Guests were arriving and a little while later everyone returned to the Barn for the cutting of the Wedding Cake and Maria an Ian’s First Dance.Crabbs Barn Recommended Wedding Photographer After capturing a flavour of the evening and happy with our coverage of Maria and Ian’s Wedding we said our ‘goodbyes’. Pre-Wedding Pictures – Elena and James came to see us again in the Autumn last year so we could catch up on their plans for their Wedding Day. After a coffee and a chat we went for a walk locally just to take a few pictures of the two of them. The weather was good to us and we had a leisurely time re-aquainting ourselves with Elena and James and they ended up with some nice pictures. Elena and James are getting married in the summer at Fennes . Looks like they are going to make some great wedding pictures!

  • Fennes Photographer Recommendation

    Fennes Photographer Recommendation

We received thisFennes Photographer Recommendation from Ness & Malcolm after their Renewal of vows at Fennes:-

    Hi David and Sandra,

    Happy New Year.

“David and Sandra’s work is amazing. They captured our day perfectly. They were professional, understanding, gave advice on the type of photo’s and spent time with us. The pre-wedding shoot was a chance for us to get used to each other and really built up a relationship with us. When the big day arrived we both felt really comfortable as did our guests.

Our vicar praised them as being non intrusive through the ceremony which meant that the important part of the ceremony was not dominated by a photographer. David and Sandra perfectly captured these moments without us knowing they were there.

The service they gave us from beginning to end was excellent. David and Sandra captured our personalities, the mood of the day and produced the most amazing album to treasure and can not praise them enough. We would recommend them to any future bride and groom.”

I know the above is long but I wanted to make sure we covered all aspects. Anne was really impressed with your work covering the ceremony, and said you were one of THE best photographers she has ever worked with.

Everyone who has seen the album absolutely love it. Especially the way it is laid out and how you really did capture what the day was all about.

We can not thank you enough for making our day so special.

    Kind regards

    Ness and Malcolm

Wedding Photography The Lawn Rochford – Tracey & John

Tracey and John booked us for their Wedding Photography The Lawn Rochford -. It was a nice day when we arrived at The Lawn on the morning of the Wedding. We went up to the Brides Room to see Tracey first of all. Preparations were in hand and although there were a lot of Bridesmaids and Flowergirls everything was under control. After taking pictures of Tracey’s Wedding Dress, Accessories and a few other pictures the Flowergirls got dressed.

John had arrived with his Best Woman in an old Police car while the guests arrived on a Routemaster bus. Together with the Ushers, John and Sue had some pictures taken before  greeting the Guests. Upstairs Tracey was getting dressed initially in another room helped by her Mother and sister as lots was going on. Wedding Photographer EssexReturning to the Brides Room so Tracey could finish putting on her jewellery we then took a few pictures of them all including Louis, who was in charge of Ring security! He looked brilliant!

    The Ceremony

The Guests were seated for the Ceremony and the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls led the way downstairs. Tracey was escorted by her Father and Uncle into the Ceremony Room. Louis caused merriment handing over the rings as this was a surprise to everyone. Wedding Photographer EssexAfter the Ceremony it was time for the Drinks Reception. Tracey and John had time to socialise with their Guests for a little while before we got on with taking the requested family group pictures. The grounds at The Lawn are superb and later we took Tracey and John for a few minutes for a short walk around. Wedding Photographs at The Lawn RochfordPictures taken we ended up by the steps for the confetti pictures. Everyone gathered round, showering Tracey and John with confetti.

    The Wedding Breakfast

The Wedding Breakfast was in the Orangery and during the meal a Singer performed a few song. The Speeches followed. Wedding Photographer The LawnAs there was time available we took some fun Bridal Party pictures and a few other pictures that Tracey and John wanted. Tracey tossed her bouquet just before the cutting of the Wedding Cake and the First Dance. A little later we finished our coverage of Tracey and John’s lovely Wedding Day.

Fennes Outdoor Wedding for Kelly & Ben

It was a beautiful day for Kelly and Ben’s Fennes Outdoor Wedding. Both Kelly and Ben were getting ready at Fennes so  David and I went our separate ways to photograph the preparations. In both camps preparations were going well. The Flowergirl, Ophelia,  was happy drawing and colouring whilst watching the preparations, waiting patiently for her turn to get dressed.

Once Ben and his Groomsmen were ready they came over to the House. After Ben had opened his present from Kelly he had a few pictures taken with his Best Man and Ushers. Upstairs, Kelly and her Bridesmaids were getting dressed with Mum assisting Kelly and were all soon ready for some pictures. Recommended Wedding Photographer Fennes

    The Ceremony

Guests who had been socialising outside and others who were arriving made their way to the area for the Ceremony. Ben escorted Kelly’s Mother over to the Gazebo for the Ceremony as Kelly came down the stairs and was greeted by her Father. After seeing the Registrars, Kelly and the girls had a few minutes before leaving the Gold Room and going outside. Some lovely pictures against a wonderful backdrop as they joined everybody. The Reception

After the Ceremony everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception entertained by the String Quartet. Timings were fine allowing time for Kelly and Ben to socialise as well as taking their requested pictures. A nice relaxing afternoon gave us time to take a variety of pictures but without keeping Kelly and Ben for long periods of time away from their Guests.  Before the Wedding Breakfast the Guests showered Kelly and Ben in confetti.

After the Wedding Breakfast it was time for the Speeches. Once these were finished as it was such a lovely evening, the light was good we went outside for a few more pictures.  Finishing off as we returned to the Pavilion we took a couple of pictures in the house.Classic posed wedding pictures in Fennes red room After the evening Guests had arrived it was time for cutting the Wedding Cake and the First Dance. Kelly and Ben were joined on the dance floor by their Guests. • Wedding Photographer Fennes Estate for Beth & Alex

Wedding Photographer Fennes Estate for Beth & Alex

It was a nice day when we arrived to be Wedding Photographer Fennes Estate for Alex and Beth’s  Wedding. We arrived early at Fennes as Beth   was getting ready there before the Church Wedding at St Mary’s Church, Bocking. Beth was upstairs in the Bridal Changing Rooms with her Bridesmaids and all was calm and collected.   We got on with taking pictures of Beth’s accessories and details whilst capturing images of the final preparations.

It wasn’t long before Beth and the Bridesmaids were dressed and ready for some photographs. After a couple of pictures upstairs we went downstairs and into the Gold Room. It is really nice when there are no Guests inside the House as we are able to take some pictures in the downstairs rooms before leaving for a Church Wedding. With the pictures taken we left Beth to go to the Church.

    St Mary’s Bocking

Alex and his Groomsmen were there carrying out their duties we were able to interrupt them just for a few minutes to take a few pictures.St Mary's Church Bocking Wedding Photographer We took some Guests arrival pictures coming up the path and into the Church before Beth arrived. At the Church Tippi, the Flowergirl, joined Beth, her Father and the Bridesmaids.St Mary's Church Bocking Wedding Photographer Beth and her Father followed the Bridesmaids into the Church for the service. It was a nice service and when it was finished everybody exited the Church for a few quick family pictures.  Beth and Alex then walked down the path being showered by confetti as they went. Returning to Fennes, we got on with the car pictures before the Guests arrived.

The Drinks Reception followed outdoors with the weather holding. Alex and Beth wanted to have plenty of time to spend with their Guests and that is exactly what they had. During the afternoon we took a few smaller group pictures. We spent a few minutes with Beth and Alex taking their pictures as the forecast was not looking too good for later. Wedding Photographer Fennes Estate Then the rain came just before we could get the ‘everybody’ shot done. Thankfully Fennes has lots of space and with the help of the staff we managed to improvise just prior to the Wedding Breakfast.

    The Wedding Breakfast

The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and this was followed by the Speeches. Afterwards there was Crazy Golf and other games in the Banqueting Hall to keep the adults and children entertained. Later Beth and Alex cut their Wedding Cake and then took to the dance floor for their First Dance. The weather prevented us taking Beth and Alex outside for some evening pictures so we made use of the steps and took the ‘heart’ picture. Fennes Recommended Wedding PhotographerHappy with our pictures we then said our ‘goodbyes’. It was a lovely day and nice to see Stephanie (Alex’s sister)  and Tim, whose Wedding we photographed 21 years ago at Leez Priory!
