We were delighted to be asked to photograph the Wedding of Stephanie and Mario particularly as the father of Marios is our friend and fellow Professional Photographer Panikos. Starting our day with David leaving me at Marios’ house, he left to go to to Steph’s house. From a quiet beginning at Marios’ house, relatives then arrived every few minutes before the greek custom of dressing the Groom. With live Greek music being played and Marios’ relatives singing, it made for some emotional images., Meanwhile, at Steph’s house, David was busily taking photographs of bridal preparations, details and Steph’s relatives, musicians, who were congregating. The Wedding Ceremony was held at Battersea Kingdom Hall before everybody then travelled to The Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington for the Reception. As Steph and Mario’s Wedding was held on the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Weekend, a spur of the moment decision was made to stop on Wandsworth Bridge with Steph and Mario and take a couple of photographs as rain was in the air. Fantastic! A wonderful opportunity to photograph Steph and Mario on the bridge with the flotilla of boats passing by underneath!
Arriving at The Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington it was not long before the rain began to fall, but with the cover of the Hotel we managed to get some photographs of the couple as well. Formal requested group pictures were taken on the stairs in the Hotel as well in various other parts of the Hotel.
Following a lovely Wedding Breakfast, dancing started and it was a pleasure to watch as well as photograph everybody having a wonderful time.
