The weather was kind to us on the morning we met Ellie and Danny at Ellie’s parents’ house for a chat about their Wedding and a few pre-wedding pictures. Ellie and Danny wanted a couple pictures of them with Ellie’s horse as well a few of them on their own and we happily obliged. Ellie and Danny are getting married this year at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.

Wedding 'Thank You'
We were very happy to receive a lovely ‘Thank You’ recently from Colin and Rebecca, who were married in August at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, Essex.

This is just a little note to say Thank You so much for the amazing service you both provided, not only on our Wedding Day but also before and after our special day.
We are so happy with the photos you have taken and are so proud to show them off to our friends and family! We can’t wait to see the final album.
You are both very easy people to work with and we are so happy that we chose you as it made our day that little bit more special.
We will definitely be recommending you in the future.

Wedding Photography for Alison & Nathan – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was our first visit to Jepcracks Barn, Great Totham, which is where Alison and her family were getting ready and we were very impressed. With the converted barn being so light, it made for some nice images. Everything was running well and being happy with what we had captured we left to go to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon. On arrival, Guests who had arrived, were enjoying the sunshine in the grounds of Crabbs Barn. It was nice to see some familar faces again, seen at previous Weddings. After taking a few pictures of Nathan and his Best Men, and with Nathan safely inside the Barn, Alison arrived with her Father and Bridesmaids. Following the Civil Ceremony, everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception, in between some requested family pictures. During the afternoon a few fun Bridal Party pictures were taken and a few Bride and Groom portraits around Crabbs Barn.
Speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast in the Barn, followed by everyone exiting the Barn enjoying the early evening warmth. We took Alison and Nathan down the lane beside the Barn for a short while and captured some lovely shots, including some wonderful sunset pictures, thank you Alison and Nathan! 
Evening Guests arrived before the First Dance and shortly afterwards it was time for us to leave. -
Wedding Photography for Rebecca & Colin – St. Peter's Church, Boxted & Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
Our day started at Rebecca’s Parents’ house with some pictures of Rebecca, together with her Parents, Bridesmaids, and James the Pageboy,who is Rebecca and Colin’s son. All was running smoothly and some lovely images were taken. We then made our way to St. Peter’s Church, Boxted, to take a few pictures of Colin, Best Man and Ushers, before Rebecca arrived. The weather forecast for the rest of the day was not looking very good at all so we all decided to take the majority of the group pictures outside the Church, after the service, before the rain clouds that were lurking in the distance arrived! What a good call that was as by the time we reached Crabbs Barn, the heavens had opened! Whilst the Guests had the Drinks Reception, we took Rebecca and Colin for a few Bride and Groom portraits in the Barn.
Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, and as the rain had stopped, Rebecca, Colin, David and I went for a short stroll around Crabbs Barn for a few extra pictures before the evening Reception.
First Dance pictures and informal pictures of Rebecca and Colin’s evening Guests were taken before we left them to enjoy the remainder of their special day.

Wedding Photography for Rachel & Garry – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
Rachel and Garry chose the popular Crabbs Barn for their Summer Wedding. Rachel was getting ready in the Bridal Suite whilst Garry arrived at the front of Crabbs Barn in his classic Fiat 500. Following a few pictures of Garry with his Best Men, being such a humid day, a heavy shower interrupted proceedings but was soon over.
A few photographs of Rachel were taken outside the Bridal Suite before the Civil Ceremony in the Barn with their close family and friends. During the afternoon Rachel and Garry were joined by the rest of their Guests creating a Garden party atmosphere in the warm sunshine. We took Rachel and Garry for a few minutes during the afternoon Reception for some pictures, making sure we got a picture with their classic cars.
Following a BBQ, a short walk with Rachel and Garry in the soft evening light achieved some relaxed pictures, before the Speeches and Cake Cutting, which were going to take place in the grounds of Crabbs Barn. 
Dancing and evening celebrations followed in the Barn. Rachel and Garry had a really relaxed Wedding, just as they wanted. -
Wedding Photography for Vanessa & Geoff – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was a pleasure to be able to photograph Vanessa and Geoff ‘s Wedding Day. Our day started at The Marks Tey Hotel where both Vanessa and Geoff were getting ready. David went to take some pictures with the Boys with the Vintage American Car, whilst I went off to the Girls. Vanessa and Geoff’s two children, Keira and Lauren, who were the Flowergirls, were enjoying getting dressed into their posh dresses, together withVanessa and the rest of the party who were getting themselves ready as well. After a few pictures at the Hotel we left to get to Crabbs Barn, just after Geoff’s departure , making sure we were at Crabbs Barn with time to spare before the arrival of Vanessa. Following the Civil Ceremony, everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the warm sunshine, in between some group photographs. We took Vanessa and Geoff for a short while for a pictures of them together around the lovely grounds of Crabbs Barn.
Following the Wedding Breakfast and coverage of the Speeches and with it being such a lovely evening, Vanessa and Geoff wanted a few more pictures. The Cornfield down the road was where we wanted to take a few images, a quick trip in our car was needed! It was well worth the effort! 
Sunset pictures together with evening Guest pictures and coverage of the First Dance ended our day.

Wedding Photography for Anne & Stephen – St Michael's Church, Braintree & Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
It was a lovely hot sunny day when David and I arrived at Anne’s family home for the final bridal preparations. Everything was running smoothly and before long Anne and her Bridesmaids were ready for some photographs in the garden. Anne and Stephen chose to be married in the lovely St. Michael’s Church, Braintree, (a great favourite of ours – we were married there !). Stephen, his Best Man and Ushers were greeting Guests when we arrived but we were able to steal them away for a few minutes for some pictures.
After the Church service, Anne, Stephen and their Guests mingled in the grounds of the Church in between the taking their family group photographs. A special picture not to be missed was of Anne with the children from her Class at School. Anne and Stephen made their way out of the Church though a shower of confetti for the drive to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, for the Reception. A few Bride and Groom pictures, as well as informal images were taken at times before the Wedding Breakfast. Early evening light provides us with some of our best pictures and Anne and Stephen were keen to take advantage of our experience, so after Speeches, we created some great photographs, walking in the lane, with the long grass and the setting sun, wonderful!
Our night ended with pictures of evening Guests and the First Dance. A great day, thank you Anne and Stephen! -
Wedding Photography for Lisa & Nicholas – Holy Family Roman Catholic Church & Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
We arrived at Lisa and Nicholas’ home to a hive of activity, with Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboys getting dressed for the big day! All was going well, although as always the last hour of preparations goes twice as quick. Whilst Lisa was getting ready we were able to take some pictures of all the attendants outside, followed by a few pictures of Lisa. Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Witham was Lisa and Nick’s choice of where to be married and what a lovely Church it is! Nick and his Groomsmen were at the Church greeting Guests, so after a couple of pictures, Lisa arrived ready for the service.
After the service with clouds threatening we took a few requested family photographs outside the Church and left to go to Crabbs Barn for the Reception. Despite a rain shower we were able to go outside at Crabbs Barn for their pictures. Brandon and Isabelle, Lisa and Nick’s children, enjoyed being outside and provided us with some relaxed shots, as did the Wedding Guests. After covering the Speeches after the Wedding Breakfast we were able to take Lisa and Nick for some bridal portraits, finishing with some evening photographs.

Wedding Photography for Claire & Matthew – St. Mary The Virgin Church, Peldon & Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon
Our day started with David going to see Matt and his Groomsmen whilst I stayed with Claire and her Bridesmaids who were enjoying the final bridal preparations with a glass of champagne. Claire and Matt chose to be married at St. Mary The Virgin, Peldon, so Claire was able to walk to the Church with her Dad and Bridesmaids, which made for some nice pictures.
Following the Church service and a few family groups outside the Church and confetti pictures, we all left to go to Crabbs Barn,Kelvedon, Guests arrived and enjoyed a Drinks Reception in the grounds of Crabbs Barn. 
Allowing time for Claire and Matt to talk to their Guests when they arrived, we took some informal pictures. After a while we took Claire and Matt for a stroll around the lovely grounds of Crabbs Barn, capturing some lovely images. 
The Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed, and as the soft evening light was brilliant for photographing in, and not to be missed, for a very short time, Claire, Matt, and ourselves used different areas of Crabbs Barn, including the Bridal Suite, for some relaxed pictures, wonderful! A sunset picture for Claire and Matt added the final touch to our pictures! -
Pre-Wedding Pictures
We met Rachel and Garry one evening at Highwoods Country Park, Colchester, to take a few relaxed pictures of them ahead of their Wedding at Crabbs Barn in August.
