  • Pre-Wedding Pictures

It was a beautifully sunny morning when we met Cherilyn and Anthony for a walk along the River Walk in Witham for their pre-wedding pictures.  After the rain of the previous few days we were fortunate not to need our wellies!  It was great to see Cherilyn and Anthony again as they had booked us as their Wedding Photographers in early 2011.  Cherilyn and Anthony are getting married at Channels Golf Club later this year.wedding-photographer-essex-pre-wedding pictures

  • English Toastmasters Association

It was a privilege to be invited to join the English Toastmasters Association for their St Georges Day meeting at the County Hotel, Chelmsford, Essex. The meeting was for networking, training and helps promote working as a team when we are working together on a Wedding or Event.

Thank you to Dave Court who managed to surprise me with a Diplome de Sabreur – which in reality is taking the top off a champage bottle with a sword. Great fun! Thanks to Kevin Pengelly for photographing the moment.

  • Styles of Photography

Styles of Photography available in the wedding photography market:-

Standard – Lots of group pictures and straight forward often unflattering Bride & Groom pictures.

Classical – carefully arranged formal pictures making everyone look their best before the picture is taken. You and you guests may need patience.

Reportage – capture the action without interfering with the couples day (often now called ‘Documentary’ as Reportage sometimes has a poor reputation). When we see great examples of ‘Documentary’ wedding photography it is often because the couple have been coached before the day in what is expected!

Lifestyle – lots of Photoshop to mess up the colours and give the pictures a ‘modern’ look. Couples in natural (not always flattering) poses.

We like to think of our Wedding Photography as contemporary Story telling. We are happy to capture real action if it looks good but we are also happy to encourage ‘moments’ to happen! Family groups and Classical pictures are usually required but do not have to take the whole day and we work in a fairly informal way. By photographing our couples at some point during their Engagement they are generally more relaxed on the big day and understand how we would like them to stand to make them look their best. Why not contact us and see what a whole wedding looks like?

  • Wedding Photography for Jennifer & Richard – Leez Priory, Chelmsford

Jenny and Richard chose the beautiful Leez Priory for their Wedding on a pleasant Winter’s day.  Jenny, her Bridesmaids, and Parents were getting ready in the main house, where we took their pictures, before getting a few photographs of Richard and his Attendants in the grounds of Leez Priory.  The Civil Ceremony was held in the Great Hall and this was followed by a Drinks reception downstairs.  After everyone had socialised for a little while we all went outside for a few requested photographs.  The expressions of the Bridal Party during the informal fun pictures will be etched in all our memories, due to David not looking where he was going and tripping over – but like a true professional he got the shot! Not to be missed was the late afternoon sun and for a few minutes we took Jenny and Richard for a short walk around the Grounds of Leez Priory.  The Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed before the Evening Guests arrived. Our day finished after Jenny and Richard’s First Dance and a couple of pictures by the illuminated Tower and in front of Leez Priory.

  • Wedding Photography for Helene & Mark at Leez Priory

As we arrived at Leez Priory for Helene and Mark’s Wedding Day, Helene’s hair and make up was underway in the cottage before the girls moved to the main House, for the finishing touches.  Meanwhile Mark made his final preparations in the Granary.  The Wedding Ceremony was held under the Tower in the warm afternoon sunshine.  Whilst the Guests were enjoying the Drinks Reception, we took a few pictures of Helene and Mark with their Wedding Car before their family group pictures.  After the Wedding Breakfast in the Coach House we took some Bride and Groom portraits around the beautiful grounds including the Lake. Later, Helene and Mark decided  to perform their First Dance outside to enable their wheelchair-bound Guest to watch, and  just as we were leaving the sunset got even better and we ended with a great picture!Wedding Photo - Leez Priory

  • Pre-Wedding Picture

We met Kelly and Dan on a pleasant evening at Danbury Lakes.  The last time we saw Kelly was when she was a Bridesmaid at her sister’s Wedding in 2005, as the Wedding booking was made over the phone. A stroll around the Lakes produced some nice pictures for Kelly and Dan prior to their Wedding in the next few weeks.  Wedding Photo Stock Brook Manor

  • Testimonial for Essex wedding photographers

Another lovley note received this time from Musa & Kate who were married this summer at Leez Priory and have a beautiful Queensberry album:-

“Wanted to write to thank you but just can’t find the words to express enough how delighted with the photos we are but also with your service as a whole. We loved having you as part of our day and all our guests commented on how unobtrusive you both were.

We love the photos too much – our walls are still bare! We just cannot decide which ones to display 🙂

It is no surprise that you have a sucessful business the ammount of hard work that you both put in you deserve nothing less.

    Many thanks again – here’s to a happy & prosperous 2011.”
