Annette and Jason were married in May at Spains Hall, Finchingfield and we were delighted to receive this ‘Thank you’:-

Thank you so much for all your help with the build up and day of our wedding. We really had a perfect day and will never forget it.

You both did such a fantastic job making sure everything went so smoothly even if the the wind wasn’t particularly co-operative in the afternoon! At no point did we ever feel rushed or hurried along to the next part of the day and we are so grateful for all the hard work you both carried out all day. We look forward to seeing the finished Photo book.

Essex Wedding Photography – Spains Hall

It was a dry day for Annette and Jason’s Essex Wedding photography at Spains Hall, Finchingfield. On arrival at Spains Hall we made our way over to the House where Annette, her Mum and Bridesmaids were getting ready. Upstairs the girls were busy with their preparations and with lots of accessories and details to photograph, there was no time to lose! A little while later during the preparations, Mia, the Flowergirl, joined them and very happy to be part of what was going on. Meanwhile, Jason and his Brother, Micky, who was theBest Man had arrived and before they began their Wedding duties they had a few pictures taken. Once Annette was dressed, her Dad came into the room to see his daughter. A special moment, affecting us all!

After taking a few pictures of Annette with the Bridesmaids, Flowergirl and Parents, it was time for Annette to go and see the Registrars. The Guests who were seated for the Ceremony awaited the entrance of Annette and her Father. Following the Ceremony, Annette and Jason had a few minutes to themselves inside whilst the Guests went outside to get ready with the confetti. When Annette and Jason were ready they went outside for the confetti throwing. Annette and Jason then had time to socialise with their Guests during the Drinks Reception in the grounds. During this time we took some informal pictures together with the requested family pictures and a few pictures of Annette and Jason. Prior to the Wedding Breakfast we took a few fun Bridal Party shots and Annette throwing her bouquet. After the Greeting Line, everybody was seated in time for the Wedding Breakfast to be served. The Speeches followed the meal then the guests left the room so it could be set up for the evening celebrations. Whilst this was being done, Annette’s Dad played the Keyboard. Brilliant caricatures were drawn by George, providing extra entertainment whilst the Band were setting up. This gave us time to take Annette and Jason for a short evening walk around the grounds for a few extra photographs of them.Annette and Jason cut their Wedding Cake before taking to the dance floor for the their First Dance. After taking a few pictures of some evening Guests, it was time for us to take our leave. A wonderful day!

Annette and Jason visited us one evening recently to go over the details of their forthcoming Wedding at Spains Hall. After a chat we went to our local River Walk to take a few pictures of them. We include the pre-wedding picture as a way to get to know our clients a little better before the big day and for them to feel more comfortable with us on the day.

Wedding Photography Spains Hall for Vicki & Jonathan

Vicki and Jonathan booked us for their Spains Hall wedding photography for their big day in the early Autumn last year. On the morning of the Wedding we arrived at Spains Hall and met Vicki and the Girls in Crest Lodge. Preparations were well in hand, although Vicki was going to get dressed over at the Hall in the Tapestry Room. With the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls dressed we all walked over to the Hall. Whilst the girls finished their preparations I finished off taking pictures of the details and accessories. Meanwhile, David met up with Jonathan and his Best Man, and got on with taking a few pictures of them in the Stables before they walked over to the Hall.

Once Vicki was ready, her Father joined us upstairs for a few traditional portraits before it was time for the Wedding Ceremony. The Wedding Guests took their seats in the Elizabethan Hall ready for the entrance of Vicki accompanied by her Dad. After the Ceremony, Vicki and Jonathan had a few minutes to themselves before walking back through the Elizabethan Hall to go outside. Their Guests were waiting for them and as they walked out into the sunshine, the Guests covered them with confetti. Whilst everybody was in one place outside we decided to take the ‘everybody’ picture before they then walked around to the gardens of Spains Hall for the Drinks Reception. During the afternoon we took a few family pictures together with a few pictures of Vicki and Jonathan. When it was time for the Wedding Breakfast the Guests made their way over to the Stables and Coach House giving us some extra time with Vicki and Jonathan. After the Wedding Breakfast and the Speeches everyone enjoyed socialising on the terrace or walking around the grounds. It was a lovely evening and we managed to get a little time with Vicki and Jonathan, before the arrival of the evening Guests, for some extra pictures, which included a wonderful sunset! Just before the cutting of the Wedding Cake Vicki tossed her bouquet and then Vicki and Jonathan took to the dance floor for the First Dance. After capturing a flavour of the evening celebrations it was time for us to say goodbye.

Wedding Photography Spains Hall for Lucy & Steve

It was nice to be asked to photograph Lucy and Steve’s Wedding at Spains Hall, Finchingfield. On arrival at Spains Hall, after saying ‘hello’ to Lucy who was getting ready in the Tapestry Room, David went off to find the men. Steve, his Best Man, Ushers and Parents were in Crest Lodge. Steve’s final preparations were going well as were Lucy’s. The Flowergirls, Rebecca and Amelia, Lucy and Steve’s daughter, were enjoying getting ready and giving a helping hand. When the men were ready, they had a few pictures taken in the garden before walking over to the House for the Ceremony. With Lucy dressed, looking lovely, and everybody else ready, Lucy’s Dad joined them for some pictures. After we had taken the Bridal portraits of Lucy, it was time to go down the stairs for Luct to meet with the Registrars. The Wedding Guests were seated in the Elizabethan Hall awaiting the Ceremony. The Flowergirls led the way into the Hall followed by Lianne, the Bridesmaid and finally Lucy and her Dad. After all the formalities were completed, Lucy and Steve exited the room had a few minutes to themselves whilst the Guests were handed confetti and went outside. Lucy and Steve were covered in confetti as they made their way into the grounds surrounding Spains Hall. The happy couple then greeted their Guests during the Drinks Reception before we got on with the requested family photos. It was a glorious day, so hot, but we managed to take some fun bridal party pictures in next to no time and take Lucy and Steve for a few minutes around the grounds for their pictures. Just before the Wedding Breakfast there was time for the ‘everybody’ shot in front of the Hall before they made their way over to the Stables. The Speeches followed the meal. While the room was prepared for the evening, the Guests enjoyed the evening sunshine, relaxing and participating in the garden games. Amelia, Rebecca and the other children had fun running around as well. During the evening we took some informal pictures of the evening Guests. As it was now cooler we took Lucy and Steve for a few minutes along the driveway for some evening pictures before re-joining their Guests. With the turnaround complete everybody made their way back into the room for the evening celebrations to begin, starting with the First Dance, then it was the party! A beautiful day, a beautiful sunset to finish! After taking this picture we took our leave. It was nice working with Helga, the Wedding Co-ordinator, seeing Nina of Piana DJ. Thank you Lucy and Steve, you were brilliant, for being part of your Wedding, we enjoyed it!

Lucy and Steve came to see us one evening for their pre-wedding pictures. After discussing the final details of their Wedding Day it was time for their pictures along the River Walk. Lucy and Steve are getting married at Spains Hall, Finchingfield later in the summer.

Wedding Photography for Ashley & Simon – St Andrew's Church, Hempstead & Spains Hall, Finchingfield

An early start for us for Ashley & Simon’s Wedding as Ashley was getting ready at Crest Lodge, Spains Hall, before leaving to go to St. Andrew’s Church, Hempstead. On arrival, the girls were having their make-up applied by the superb make-up artist, Alexis Day. A wonderful atmosphere and some lovely pictures to take. We photographed Ashley in the garden together with her Parents and Bridesmaids before leaving for the Church. Following the Church service most of the group pictures were taken outside the Church door as this made a lovely setting. Ashley and Simon left the Church after being showered in confetti and made their way to Spains Hall, Finchingfield. Guests congregated inside and outside the House during the Drinks Reception as did Ashley and Simon, before we went for a short walk around the splendid grounds of Spains Hall for Ashley and Simon’s romantic pictures. Being a beautiful day, the stunning backdrops of Spains Hall made Ashley and Simon’s together pictures even better. Making sure Ashley and Simon had time to speak to their Guests, after a little while, the Bridal Party made their way to the front of Spains Hall for some fun bridal party pictures before being joined by everybody else. After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, evening Guests arrived and shortly the First Dance. Following the First Dance, we took a couple of pictures of Ashley and Simon outside The Stables, before we left.

Pre-Wedding pictures

It was lovely to meet Ashley and Simon again, one evening, prior to their Wedding at Spains Hall, Finchingfield. The weather was kind to us and we took a few pictures of Ashley and Simon as we walked along the seafront at Leigh-on-Sea.

Wedding Photography for Laura & Nathan at Spains Hall, Finchingfield

It was a beautiful day when we arrived at Laura’s Mum’s house for the final bridal preparations. The girls were relaxed, having their final make up touches applied by the excellent Kelly Hollands, and before long it was time for all of them to put their dresses on. We took a few pictures of the girls before leaving to go to the Church. All Saints Church, Rayne, was where the service was held and after the service, everyone came out into warm sunshine and socialised whilst a few family pictures were taken, followed by the traditional confetti throwing. Spains Hall, Finchingfield, was the Reception venue, a beautiful setting, especially with today’s weather! Laura and Nathan’s Guests enjoyed a Drinks Reception with the children enjoying themselves playing with the various garden games. We took Laura and Nathan for a few photographs in the shade under the trees also allowing them time to themselves. Following a break, some requested group photographs were taken together with a few fun bridal party pictures. Time just flew by and before long, it was time for the Wedding Breakfast, supplied by Le Talbooth, which was superb. Coverage of the speeches followed before an interval before the First Dance. A short stroll around the grounds in the soft evening light with Laura and Nathan provided us with wonderful pictures before the First Dance. Evening Guests arrived and joined in the celebrations and were entertained later on by a surprise Firework Display. A wonderful day! Video filming was by Your Perfect Day
