  • Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography for Dawn & Nick

    Such a lovely Smeetham Hall Barn wedding for Dawn and Nick in May this year. Our day started at Dawn and Nick’s home which was where Dawn was getting ready. All was going well with Dawn’s Father enjoying watching the many preparations going on. Time raced by, the two Bridesmaids, Mitzi and Elizabeth were soon ready, closely followed by Dawn. Dawn looked wonderful! Outside we went for a few pictures before we left for the Church. Molly, Dawn and Nick’s dog, Molly joined the girls.

    St Andrew’s Church, Bulmer, was our destination and one of our favourite Churches and sunshine greeted us. Nick and his Groomsmen were there so we took a few pictures of them. Guest arrival pictures are always good here and today was no exception. Soon everybody was in the Church.

    Dawn arrived to be greeted by Molly, who was very pleased to see her! Molly would Molly be the Ring Bearer today when it was time! Following Dawn and Nick’s vows, Molly was there waiting with the rings!

    Perfect! Following the service Guests showered the couple with confetti as they walked up the path to the car.

    Smeetham Hall Barn Reception

    Smeetham Hall Barn looked a picture as always. Drinks and canapes were served on the lawn. During the afternoon a mixture of family group pictures , Bride and Groom pictures and informal ones were taken as well.

    The Wedding Breakfast was followed by the Speeches. It was a beautiful evening and all enjoyed socialising in the grounds of Smeetham. Evening Guests arrived to join in with the celebrations. After a while Dawn and Nick took to the dance floor for their First Dance.

    A Ceilidh followed and it was great to see so many people joining in and having fun. A little while later it was time for us to say our goodbyes.

    Thank you Dawn and Nick for asking us to photograph your Wedding, it was a beautiful day. Wonderful to catch up with a surprising number people who are known to us!

    Clare Priory & Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography

    Jemma and Nick were married earlier this year at Clare Priory with their Reception at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer. Our day started at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury which is where Jemma and Nick were getting ready. Jemma was being assisted by her Bridesmaids and preparations were going well. Meanwhile Nick was being helped by his Groomsmen in a different part of the Hotel.

    Both sets of preparations pictures were very relaxed and good fun. Once Nick was ready we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen outside The Mill Hotel before he set off for Clare Priory. The girls were soon ready for their pictures and we took those in the room.Wedding Photographer Suffolk It was then time for David and I to set off for Clare Priory. The Church of Clare Priory is lovely and located in a picturesque setting. When we arrived Nick and his Groomsmen were greeting some Guests but we had time to take a few pictures of them before they carried on with their duties. A little while later Jemma arrived with her Father and the Bridesmaids. When everyone was seated in the Church, Jemma made her entrance. The lighting of a Candle started the service.Clare Priory & Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding PhotographyAfter the service the Wedding Guests mingled whilst we spent a few minutes in the gardens outside the Church taking a few pictures of Jemma and Nick. Before leaving the Guests threw confetti over Jemma and Nick.

    Smeetham Hall Barn looked wonderful on this bright, sunny, spring day. Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding PhotographerJemma and Nick had time to spend with their Guests and enjoy their Drinks Reception before we carried on with a few more pictures around Smeetham Hall Barn. Time was getting on and the Wedding Breakfast was next. Jemma and Nick decided to have the Speeches before the meal. Shortly after the meal Jemma and Nick cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. As it was such a lovely day, sunset beckoned!Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photographer Happy with our coverage of Jemma and Nick’s Wedding a little later we left them to continue the celebrations.     Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography – Rosie & Ross

    Rosie and Ross chose the wonderful Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer, as their venue for their Wedding. Our day started at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury, where Rosie, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready. After taking a few getting ready pictures and pictures of Rosie’s Wedding Dress and Accessories, the girls got dressed.Sudbury Wedding Photographer Whilst this was happening we had found a good area for taking a few pictures of them. This was only a few steps from the room they were in. Luckily, we didn’t come into contact with any Guests going to the Wedding! It was a good spot, we worked quickly as we had to leave to get to Smeetham Hall Barn. Suffolk Wedding PhotographerArriving at Smeetham Hall Barn, Ross was greeting a few Guests.  Once we had got all the Groomsmen together we took a few pictures of them after which they resumed their duties. Rosie arrived and after seeing the Registrars, with the Bridesmaids leading the way walked into the Barn, accompanied by her Father.

    The Barn looked wonderful, decorated by W.Flowers. After the Ceremony, everyone went outside and enjoyed the Drinks Reception.  The weather was lovely and Rosie and Ross were able to take full advantage off socialising and having pictures around the grounds.

    Following the requested group pictures. Rosie and Ross resumed mingling with their Guests.

    During the afternoon we took the Bridal Party to the lawn infant of the House for some pictures and whilst we were there we took Rosie & Ross’ ‘together’pictures.Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography We rounded off the afternoon pictures with the the throwing of confetti. It was then time for the Wedding Breakfast and afterwards the Speeches. Straight after the Speeches, Rosie, Ross and ourselves headed away from the Guests to the fields at the back of Smeetham. It was time for the cake cutting and the First Dance.  Capturing a few informal pictures after it was then time for us to say our ‘goodbyes’. A great day, and a nice couple.

    Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Fayre – Sunday 8 January 2017

    The Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Fayre is, this Sunday 8th January, from 11am-3.30pm. It is very well organised by Sharon Donaldson of The Wedding Fayre and it is well worth a visit. David and I are looking forward to attending and exhibiting our Wedding Photography at this wonderful Wedding Venue. We will have new sample Albums of complete Weddings for you to view, so why not come and have a chat about your Wedding Day requirements. As always this is a very busy show  and popular Venue so there will be lots of Exhibitors showcasing their work.     Today Sandra ran the display at Fennes Open Day and I ran the display at Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Fayre.

    We both took bookings so it was an excellent day!

  • Wedding Photography Smeetham Hall Barn – Sasha & Neil

    Wedding Photography Smeetham Hall Barn

    It was a beautiful day for Sasha and Neil’s Wedding at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer, Suffolk.  Sasha, her Bridesmaids and Parents were getting ready at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury and that’s where we met them early on the Wedding Day.  After capturing some getting ready pictures, we took a few formal pictures when they were all dressed.

    Wedding Photography Smeetham Hall Barn Sasha looked amazing and we took some lovely bridal images of her.  Leaving them we made the journey to Smeetham Hall Barn for the Civil Ceremony.   Neil was busy with last minute preparations when we got there but we managed to find some time for his pictures and some with his Groomsmen.  Once these were completed Neil greeted a few of the Guests before moving out of sight into the Barn before Sasha arrived. After meeting with the Registrars, Sasha took her Father’s arm and joined the Bridesmaids in the Marquee, before they made their way into the Barn for the Ceremony.  Sasha and Neil exchanged their vows with the sun streaming in through the windows.  After the Ceremony, Sasha and Neil led the way into the Marquee where they spent a little while talking with their Guests. During the Drinks Reception, the requested family pictures were taken outside as it was dry and bright. The grounds of Smeetham Hall Barn looked lovely bathed in winter sunshine and Sasha and Neil as well as ourselves wanted to make the most of the opportunity.Wedding Photography Smeetham Hall Barn  Later the Speeches took place followed by the Wedding Breakfast.Wedding Photographer Smeetham Hall Barn Whilst the Barn was arranged for the evening Reception and the Band was setting up, it was nice to take some shots of Sasha and Neil by the Christmas Tree.  Sasha and Neil’s evening Guests arrived and a short while later it was time for the cake cutting and the First Dance.     We had a nice time yesterday at Smeetham Hall Barn and Fennes.  Thank you to all those who visited our Stands and for the bookings we took.

    A massive ‘thank you’ to everybody who looked at our wedding photography at  Fennes Wedding Open Day and Smeetham Barn Wedding Fayre.  Both David and I met some lovely people, had plenty of conversations and hopefully we will see some of you again soon.
