Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Anna and Michael. The couple chose the lovely Prested Hall for their Wedding at the end of last year.

Sunny but flooded!

Weather wise it was not the day that Anna and Michael thought it would be. Although sunny on the day the previous 3 days were heavy rain. Prior to the day access to Prested Hall had been pretty limited. Having photographed many Weddings at Prested Hall, we thought we had seen everything. Usually the lake is the other side of the house but what we first saw as we arrived surprised us! The rain had ceased in the morning and the water was slowly draining away, with a little help from a pump!

Preparations

Once inside Prested Hall we went upstairs to find Anna and her Bridesmaids. Preparations were going well. Michael was in the later stages of getting ready so when he was ready we went outside for a few pictures.

Afterwards Michael, with his Best Woman, Nikki, went back inside to see the Guests. When Anna was ready with the Bridesmaids. we took some pictures of them all. Anna’s sons, James and Harry, came into to see her before proceeding downstairs.

Wedding Ceremony

Anna took James’ arm and went into the room for the Wedding Ceremony. Harry proudly played his part in being the Ring Bearer. Following the Ceremony we went outside. There was just enough room to stand on the drier hard standing to take some requested family pictures. David’s feet got a little wet! Once these pictures were completed everybody went back inside Prested Hall for the Drinks Reception.

Dry Feet

We captured a variety of informal pictures during the time upto the Wedding Breakfast. Before that though, we took Anna and Michael outside for their pictures. Out the back we were really lucky, we used the decking, so Anna and Michael did not get wet feet! A beautiful sunset for Anna and Michael as well.

Evening Photos

After the meal it was time for the Speeches. James and Nikki did Anna and Michael proud. The Evening Guests arrived a little while later and Anna and Michael cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance.

Prested Hall Wedding Photography

Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Rebecca & Tom – Rebecca and Tom chose the popular Wedding Venue Prested Hall, Feering, for their relaxed early spring Wedding. We met Rebecca upstairs in the Bridal Room at Prested Hall, as she was getting ready with her Mum’ Bridesmaids and Flowergirls. With lots going on we captured a few images as well as taking a few pictures of Rebecca’s details and accessories.

Tom arrived at Prested Hall a little while later, with his Parents and Brother. We took a few pictures of them with the car before they were joined by Tom’s BestMan and Ushers. After these were completed they all then went inside to welcome the Wedding Guests. Once Rebecca was ready we took a couple of pictures before it was time for the Ceremony. Rebecca looked a picture as she made her entrance into the Orangery for the Civil Service. After the Ceremony, Rebecca and Tom led their Guests into the Lounge area for the Drinks Reception. Although dry outside, it was rather chilly, so we made use of the sheltered entrance outside Prested Hall for the requested family pictures. Following these pictures we carried on with Rebecca and Tom’s ‘together’ pictures. We achieved some nice portraits in a short amount of time, making sure Rebecca did not shiver too much! Rebecca and Tom returned to their Guests and to the warmth of Prested Hall! They socialised up until it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. As we had not visited the Bridge during Rebecca and Tom’s pictures earlier, so during a break in the Wedding Breakfast there was just enough time to take a few pictures of them over there. Speeches were after the meal and then everybody mingled in the rooms at Prested Hall whilst the Band set up for the evening entertainment. Once the Evening Guests had arrived Rebecca and Tom cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. After capturing some photos of the evening celebrations, our final picture of the night was a ‘sparklers’ shot. A lovely Wedding, a delightful couple! A pleasure as always working with David from Rideout.

Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Anna & Chris

Prested Hall Wedding Photography – It was an early start for us arriving at Anna’s Parents’ home for the preparation pictures. It was a beautiful day, and preparations were well underway. After capturing the getting ready shots, it was time for a few pictures in the garden which Anna’s Dad had worked so hard on to provide a nice backdrop. It was sunny and very humid so we took the garden pictures as quickly as we could! David and I then left to go St Nicolas Church, Witham. Chris and his Groomsmen were at the Church when we arrived and we managed to take a few pictures of them in between their duties. It wasn’t long before Anna arrived, driven to the Church by her Dad in the E-Type Jag. With all the Guests in the Church she made her way up the path and into the Church with her Dad followed by the Bridesmaids. During the service there was an almighty downpour which was quickly followed by brilliant sunshine! At the end of the Ceremony, Anna and Chris led their Guests out of the Church for some requested family photographs. Once these were finished everybody made their way to the gate for the confetti pictures, before leaving for the Reception. Anna and Chris wanted some pictures with the car along the driveway to Prested Hall, which we were happy to do. Timings were perfect, us arriving, getting set up just as they turned into the driveway. It was a great fun session with Anna and Chris also rehearsing (without music!) their dance steps for later, with us getting the fun images we wanted. Anna and Chris then joined their Guests for the Drinks Reception whilst we took a few informal pictures. A little while later as we were starting to organise the everybody picture, the rain made another appearance! The Wedding Breakfast beckoned! After the meal, we covered the Speeches, which was then followed by a second attempt at the ‘everybody’ picture with more success this time! Before the start of the evening celebrations and the arrival of their evening Guests, we took the happy couple for a short walk around the grounds of Prested Hall for a few relaxed pictures. Being a day of good but mixed weather, they ended up with a brilliant sunset picture as well as a rainbow picture! Later Anna and Chris’ s rehearsed First Dance wowed their Guests before they joined them on the dance floor. It was nice to see familiar family members again. An amazing Wedding!

Pre-Wedding Pictures

We met Helen and Matt early one evening at Furze Hill, Mistley, to take a few pre-wedding pictures and talk about their Wedding at Prested Hall, Feering. Furze Hill park proved to be a wonderful setting for the pictures with us achieving some nice images.

Wedding Photography for Cara & Nick – Prested Hall, Feering

It was such a pleasure to be asked to photograph Cara and Nick’s Wedding as well as being invited as Guests. Nick and Cara arranged their Wedding, within a very short time, whilst over here from Australia towards the end of last year! We arrived at Cara’s family home where Cara was having the final touches applied to her make-up whilst Cara’s Parents, Denise, her Sister and Nephews were getting ready. Cara was kept company by a few of her close friends who had flown in from various parts of the world. After taking a few pictures of Cara in her dress it was time for us to leave to go to Our Lady Immaculate Church, Chelmsford. Meeting up with Nick, his family and friends there, we took a few photographs of them before Cara arrived. With the Church service over, Cara and Nick greeted their Guests outside for a few minutes before we took a few family photographs. Unbeknown to the Guests, Cara and Nick asked us to go with them when they stopped at a pub for a celebratory private drink on their way to Prested Hall – they also wanted a couple of pictures by the river after they had had their moment together! After we arrived at Prested Hall we took a few small group pictures during the Drinks Reception and we even had time for a few pictures of the two of them in the grounds. The Speeches after the Wedding Breakfast gave some wonderful images. Later, there was time available for us to take Cara and Nick for a short walk for a few evening pictures before the evening Reception. The Wedding Cake was made by Nick’s sister, Hannah, which Cara and Nick duly cut before they took to the floor for their First Dance. Afterwards, Guests joined Cara and Nick on the Dance floor and danced the night away. A memorable day and one that we were extremely happy to be part of.

Prested Hall Wedding Fair

Wow! What a really good Wedding Fair it was at Prested Hall, Kelvedon, today! A massive thank you to the staff at Prested Hall and to everyone who attended despite the rain! We thoroughly enjoyed talking to prospective Bride and Grooms, who came and spent time talking to us, and to cap a very successful Wedding Fair we finished the day with bookings and appointments to see people.

Wedding Photography for Claire & Tom at Prested Hall, Feering

Claire and Tom chose Prested Hall, Feering, for their Civil Ceremony and Reception. Claire and her Bridesmaids were getting ready for the Ceremony when we arrived at Prested Hall, so after taking a few pictures we went to find Tom and his Best Man. A few pictures of their final preparations were taken together with pictures of Guests arriving. Other than a shower occurring whilst the Ceremony was taking place, the weather stayed fine and we were able to go outside and take the requested photographs. After Claire and Tom had time to socialise with their Guests we took them for a walk around Prested Hall for their pictures, before the Wedding Breakfast. Speeches followed and a while later the evening celebrations began, our coverage ending with the First Dance.
