Stacey and Jonathan chose the wonderful Wedding Venue Leez Priory for their Wedding. Our day started at Leez Priory with Stacey and the girls getting ready at the Fisherman’s Cottage. Preparations were going well and once the make-up and hair were finished we were on the move! Stacey was going to put on her Wedding Dress and do the final preparations upstairs in the main house.Leez Priory Wedding Photographer Whilst this was going on, David went off to find Jonathan and his Groomsmen to capture a few final preparation and ready shots. Once Stacey and the Bridesmaids were dressed, they were joined by Bob, the Bridesman for a few pictures. Guests were making their way over to the Tower where the Ceremony was going to take place.  Being such a lovely day, the Ceremony was going to be outside. With the meeting with the Registrars over, the Bridesmaids led the way followed by Stacey and her Father to the Ceremony. Wedding Photographer Leez PrioryFollowing the Ceremony, Stacey, Jonathan and their Wedding Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception. After a little while, we took the requested family pictures. Giant garden games kept the guests entertained during the afternoon. We took some Bridal Party pictures in front of Leez Priory later on and then had some time to take Stacey and Jonathan’s together pictures around the grounds.Leez Priory Wedding Photographer After the ‘everybody’ picture it was time to move to the Coach House. The Speeches followed their Wedding Breakfast. It was a glorious evening so the Guests enjoyed walking around the grounds, playing the games or just generally socialised in the grounds.   They cut their cake and moved onto the  dance floor which was set up outside for Stacy and Jonathan’s First Dance. Wedding Photographer Leez Priory There was a lovely ambience together with a lovely setting for their First Dance. Just before we left we took a coupe of evening pictures in front of Leez Priory to finish our coverage of their Wedding.  A great day!

Layer Marney Wedding Photographer for Clare & Michael

It was a lovely day for the Wedding of Clare and Michael at Layer Marney Tower, Colchester.  Clare was getting ready at her home so that is where we started our coverage. On our arrival we were met by Clare, her Mother and the Bridesmaids. Everybody was happy and relaxed with preparations well in hand. After taking a picture of the girls in their Dressing Gowns with the Champagne, it was time for them to get dressed. The Bridesmaids looked wonderful in their Poppy Red Bridesmaid dresses, with Clare looking amazing in her Wedding Dress. After taking a couple of pictures inside as it was dry and warm we all went outside for a few more. Leaving them we made our way to Layer Marney Tower, Layer de la Haye. Michael was there, looking very smart in his uniform, with his Best Man and Ushers. We had time to take some pictures  before the Registrars needed Michael before the Ceremony. The Layer Marney Double Decker Bus arrived with some of the Guests so we took a few pictures as they arrived. The Guests made their way to the Corsellis Room and it wasn’t long before Clare arrived in the Layer Marney vintage Rolls Royce.

Layer Marney Wedding Photographer Clare took her Father’s arm and made her way into the Corsellis Room. After the Ceremony, Clare and Michael went for a ride in the car whilst their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception outside in the grounds of Layer Marney. Clare and Michael returned a little later and arrived at the bottom gate. They walked up the path towards the Tower as their Guests took pictures of them from the top of the steps. Following spending some time with their Guests during the Drinks Reception we got on with the requested family pictures. After a break we then took Clare and Michael for a quick walk around the Layer Marney grounds. This included going to the lake and the barn, ending up with some nice pictures. Wedding Photographer Layer MarneyClare and Michael were showered with confetti on the stairs before then going into the Long Gallery for the Wedding Breakfast. After the meal it was time for the Speeches.  Some great reactions!Recommended Wedding Photographer Layer Marney Afterwards, whilst the Long Gallery was being arranged for the evening celebrations, Guests socialised outside and during this time we took some informal pictures. Clare and her Bridesmaids wanted a couple of pictures on the bus, which we took before it was time to go  back into the Long Gallery for the dancing. Layer Marney Recommended Wedding PhotographerAfter the happy couple cut their Wedding Cake and they took to the dance floor for their First Dance. A couple of night pictures ended our coverage of Clare and Michael’s Wedding Day. A great day and a joy to work with such a lovely couple.

Hylands House Wedding Photography for Adelle & Danny

Hylands House Wedding Photography for Adelle and Danny’s Wedding was well worth waiting for! Hylands House is set in a magnificent park on the outskirts of Chelmsford, Essex, and it it has been too long since our previous visit!.Hylands House Wedding Photographer There was an extra special feeling about this Wedding for us considering we have known Adelle for a number of years as she grew up as a friend of our daughter.  When we arrived at Hylands House we went upstairs to see Adelle who was in the wonderful Bridal Room, with her Bridesmaids and Mother. Adelle was sipping her Champagne whilst her hair was being finished whilst Gemma, her twin sister, and cousin and Mum were getting ready. David met Danny, his Best Man and Ushers, downstairs for their pictures. Spoilt for choice where to take the pictures we did a few outside and a few inside Hylands House. Wedding Photographer Hylands House Time then for them to greet the Guests. Everything was going smoothly upstairs and it wasn’t long before it was time for Gemma to assist Adelle with getting her dress on. Wow! Adelle looked amazing! Hylands House Wedding Photographer With the Guests seated in the Drawing Room, Adelle took her Father’s arm and walked down the staircase with the Bridesmaids leading the way. Adelle entered the Drawing room to the sound of the piano, played by her friend Claire (who we also know very well), superb! After saying their vows and the Ceremony completed, they left the Drawing Room and went into the hall where the Reception Drinks were being served. The sun was out, it was getting warmer and warmer and the guests were directed out the back of the House.  There was a reason for keeping everyone from going out the front of Hylands House. Adelle and Danny chatted with their Guests until we got the nod that another star of the day was here! Hylands House Wedding PhotographerAlthough Adelle and Danny and a couple of close confidants knew Adelle’s horse would be making an appearance, nobody else did!  It was so nice to be there to capture the moments when Adelle and Danny and their Guests went outside. Added to this, Adelle and Danny’s dog  put in an appearance as well. After all, he was at their pre-wedding shoot! Hylands House Wedding PhotographyWe got on after a few minutes with the requested family pictures followed by some fun Bridal pictures and a few pictures of Adelle and Danny. After a break in the shade, a little later the confetti pictures were taken on the steps to the side of Hylands House before it was time to go into the Banqueting Hall. Time for the Speeches! Brilliant! Great reactions! Afternoon Tea was then served.  During this time Spencer Wood went around the tables providing ‘Magical’ entertainment. The guests enjoyed going outside to cool off and socialise before the evening entertainment in the Marquee.  Just before the evening Guests arrived we took Adelle and Danny to the formal gardens for a few pictures in the golden evening sun. On our return Adelle and Danny greeted their evening Guests before it was time for their First Dance. A brilliant rehearsed First Dance!Wedding Photographer Hylands House Leica MThe best place to see the sunset was past the far end of the car park so  it was a quick car ride!  We were back before people had noticed! After capturing some pictures of the evening Guests, we finally put our cameras down and chilled out! So lovely to see so many familiar faces and have catch ups.  Thank you Adelle and Danny for asking us to provide your Wedding Photography, it was a pleasure and a privilege.  A fabulous Wedding Day of Hylands House Wedding Photography for a wonderful couple!

  • Jimmys Farm Wedding Reception

    Jimmys Farm Wedding Reception

A first for us, a Jimmys Farm Wedding Reception! A Wedding with a difference!  Let’s start at the beginning of Andrea and Simon’s Wedding Day. Our first port of call on day of the Wedding was arriving at Andrea’s Parents’ home. Andrea was in the final stages of having her make-up and hair done so after capturing a couple of pictures we got on with taking pictures of  Andrea’s Wedding Dress and accessories. Sarah, Andrea’s sister, Sarah, helped Andrea then get into her Wedding Dress. Andrea’s Father was waiting downstairs and we were there to capture the moment.Wedding Photographer Colchester It had been raining earlier but had dried up enough for us to take some family pictures outside on the patio. With a few bridal portraits and the car pictures taken we then left to go to St Mary the Virgin Church, Langham, Colchester. Arriving at this lovely Church, we met with Simon and his Best Man, Dan. Car shots were first! Simon had the use of Dan’s own TVR! Before the Guests started to arrive we took some requested family pictures as well as some pictures of Simon.  Simon and Dan and the ‘Usherettes’ then went about their duties. The pathway leading up to the Church gives the opportunity of some nice Guest arrival pictures which we took. The Guests were seated in the Church when Andrea arrived for the Wedding Ceremony. After the service, with everybody in the church grounds we got on with the requested pictures. Colchester Wedding Photographer Fingers had been crossed for the weather to hold as Andrea and Simon wanted the majority of the family and group pictures taken at the Church. It worked! Once these were completed, Andrea and Simon were covered with confetti at the Lych Gate. Afterwards the Guests left to go to Jimmy’s Farm and Simon and Andrea went for a very short drive. They then returned to the Church wanting a few shots down the driveway and also had the opportunity of getting some different pictures overlooking Dedham Vale. Not to be missed! Deciding to take their ‘together’ pictures and other pictures around proved to be a good idea!Wedding Photographer Colchester Arriving at Jimmy’s Farm, the sun was out and the Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception. Sarah who is married to Dan awaited for Andrea and Simon to arrive.  The four of them then walked together into Jimmy’s Farm to where the the Guests were.  Some lovely pictures!Wedding Photographer Jimmy's Farm Andrea and Simon had time to socialise with their guests as we only had an everybody picture and a few informal group shots to take. The meal was inside the Barn and when the Guests were seated Andrea and Simon made their entrance.  A lovely atmosphere! Platters of sumptuous BBQ food from the Farm were provided for the guests to help themselves to. Following the meal Andrea and Simon cut their Wedding Cake. It was a nice evening so the Guests mingled outside before the First Dance.  After the First Dance there was a beautiful sunset and to top it all, a moon shot as well! Jimmys Farm Wedding ReceptionWhat a truly enjoyable day! Thank you Anna, (lovely to see you),  and Craig, (hope you enjoyed your friend’s stag do!)  whose Wedding we photographed at Crabbs Barn in 2014, for recommending us.

Orsett Hall Wedding Photography for Collette & Tim

It has been some time since we provided Wedding Photography at Orsett Hall, so it was nice to be back to photograph the Wedding of Collette and Tim.  Our day started at Collette’s Parents’ house where the girls were getting ready.  On arrival the girls were chilled, chatting, drinking champagne, whilst getting ready.  It was nice to see again Carla Brooks who was doing the make-up on the day. David was at Orsett Hall where the men were getting ready and to capture their final preparations. After taking pictures of Collette’s dress and accessories in between taking pictures of what was happening, it was soon time for everybody to get dressed.Wedding Photographer EssexCollette looked lovely in her Wedding Dress and the girls looked a picture in their dresses. The weather was fine, dry and bright so into the garden we went for a few pictures. We then made our way to St Mary’s Church, North Stifford,  which was where Collette and Tim chose to be married. We managed to get a few pictures of Tim, his Best Man and Ushers in between them carrying out their various duties before the service.Essex Church Wedding Photographer Collette arrived shortly afterwards and with everybody seated in the Church with the Bridesmaids leading the way, followed by Collette and her Father, they went down the church path into the Church. After the exchange of vows and wedding rings,  it was time for the signing of the Register.  Once Collette and Tim signed the Register of their marriage, the Vicar produced the Register which Collette’s parents, Ann and Phil signed when they got married in the Church many years ago. A lovely moment! Essex Wedding Photographer After the service everyone went outside into the Churchyard for some requested group pictures. Collette and Tim were then showered with confetti before they left the Church to go to the Reception. Whilst the Guests were still arriving at Orsett Hall we took Collette and Tim off for a few minutes around the grounds for their pictures before they socialised with their Guests during the Drinks Reception. Orsett Hall Wedding PhotographyDuring this time we took some informal pictures and some fun bridal pictures. Just before the Wedding  Breakfast the Toastmaster showed the way of performing ‘Sabrage’ which is taking the top off the Champagne bottle with a Saber. Tim’s turn to perform this! Accomplished! Wedding Photographer Orsett HallWith everybody seated for the Wedding Breakfast, the Speeches were delivered before the meal. Well done to Adam, the Best Man, a brilliant Speech!  At the end of the Wedding Breakfast, a surprise for the Guests! The appearance of the Singing Waiters! As always they provide great entertainment. Everybody later left the room and went outside for the room to be set up for the evening celebrations. It was a beautiful evening and after Collette and Tim had time to talk to their Guests, sunset beckoned, so off we went! Returning a few minutes later it was time for their First Dance.Orsett Hall Wedding Photographers A little while later we left them to continue their celebrations.  Thank you Collette and Tim for letting us be your Wedding Photographers and be  part of your special day, a truly memorable day spent with a wonderful couple!

It had been a while since Emily and Gareth had booked their Wedding Photography with us and their Wedding was fast approaching! We managed to get together one evening and fill in the gaps about their wedding day, the usual who, what where, when, information!  Once the Wedding details were sorted we went to take a few pictures on a local footpath. Emily and Gareth are getting married at Gosfield Hall soon. The Engagement session helps our couples fell more comfortable when we come to take the important wedding pictures!

  • Wedding Photos Fennes for Nikki & Rob

Wedding Photos Fennes for Nikki & Rob

We were very pleased to be asked to photograph Nikki and Rob’s Wedding Day at Fennes. Nikki works in the Accounts Office at The Fennes Estate.

Our day started at Fennes, arriving whilst the girls preparations were underway and the excitement was increasing.

Fennes Wedding Photographer Nikki and Rob chose to be married at St Mary’s Church, Bocking, so we had to be very aware of the time so we would not miss the Guys’ arrival shots at church. With pictures of the details and accessories in the bag, and everybody was ready, we got on with taking the posed pictures. After Nikki’s Dad saw her for the first time in her Wedding dress and escorted her downstairs, we went into the Gold Room. One of the nice things with Nikki and Rob choosing a Church wedding, was that the downstairs of Fennes was available for Nikki’s pictures before she went. Once we had taken the pictures we left to go to the Church.  The pathway up to the St Mary’s allows for some nice Guest arrival pictures whilst Rob, his Best Man and Ushers were having a few pictures taken, before he disappeared into the Church.

Recommended Fennes Wedding Photographer Nikki arrived, took her Father’s arm and walked up the path to the Church. After the Church service we organised the few requested family pictures.  The Guests then lined the path at the gate for Nikki and Rob to walk through, throwing confetti as they did so.  Nikki, Rob and ourselves were first back to Fennes so after a couple of pictures with the car driven by Adrian of Vintage Dreams, we walked over to the Bridge, a must for Weddings at Fennes! With Lottie, front of house co-ordinator and the staff at Fennes as always taking good care of the Guests as they arrived, we carried on with a short tour of the grounds for Nikki and Rob’s pictures. Wedding Photos Fennes They then joined the Drinks Reception and talked to their Guests. Bridal fun pictures happened later, shortly before the Wedding Breakfast. A singer entertained everybody during the Wedding Breakfast before the Speeches. Whilst waiting for the Evening Reception to start Guests enjoyed walking around in the grounds of Fennes.  A short time later the evening Guests started to arrive for the Reception in the Marquee.  The Pavilion looked wonderful as Nikki and Rob greeted all their Guests as they made their way in.  After the cutting of the Wedding Cake they took to the dance floor for their First Dance together as man and wife. Recommended Essex Wedding Photographer Fennes Making sure we were happy with our images of capturing Nikki and Rob’s special Day, catching up with people we knew, we said our ‘goodbyes’. Congratulations Nikki and Rob on a lovely day!

  • Fennes Wedding Photos – Jaimey & Mehmet

Fennes Wedding Photos for Jaimey & Mehmet

The sun was shining for Jaimey and Mehmet’s Wedding day at Fennes.  We arrived at Fennes just before Mehmet arrived with his Groomsmen.  They made their way into the Library to finish getting ready.  Jaimey was upstairs having her hair done and the room was a hive of activity! Working around their preparations I got on with photographing the details and accessories, whilst David was downstairs with the men capturing their preparations.  David couldn’t leave the men as a surprise was in store for Mehmet!  Unbeknown to Mehmet, Jaimey had arranged for a Ferrari to arrive at Fennes and take him to St Mary’s Church, Bocking for the Church service. It wasn’t long before the Ferrari arrived and Memhmet’s Best Man persuaded Mehmet to go to the front of the house .  How surprised Mehmet was!  Grinning from ear to ear, Mehmet just stared at the Ferrarri before climbing in to have some pictures taken. Recommended Wedding Photographer Fennes Jaimey was delighted her surprise had worked and enjoyed the feedback from the Bridesmaids and a few Guests who had watched the drama unfolding.  Mehmet  was then chauffeured to St Mary’s Church.  Time was racing by and with so many people getting ready we decided that I would go to the Church whilst David stayed behind capturing what was happening.  After meeting the men at the Church and capturing some pictures of the Guests as well as Mehmet, it wasn’t long before Jaimey arrived.  We captured the moments as they happened as they all made their way into the Church. Fennes Weddng Photography After the Church service we took a few family pictures outside the Church before the Guests made their way down to the gate for the confetti pictures. Before leaving the Church we took a couple pictures of Jaimey and Mehmet with the car before they left for the Reception.  As we were back at Fennes with Jaimey and Mehmet well before their Guests, we went to take some pictures on the bridge and around the grounds. Returning to the House we caught up on a few bridal shots of Jaimey that we didn’t get earlier in the Gold Room.Wedding Photographer Fennes Recommended As the Guests arrived they enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the gardens. The Wedding  Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and was followed by the Speeches. With the main Speeches delivered  a few of Jaimey and Mehmet’s relatives and friends said a few words.  It was a beautiful evening and afterwards Guests went outside and socialised.  Using the superb grounds we took some relaxed bridal party pictures before it was time for the First Dance.  Finishing Jaimey and Mehmet’s coverage of their special day a nice sunset picture. Fennes Wedding Photos Thank you so much Sue (Fennes Front of house) for your help, much appreciated as always!

  • Fennes Wedding Photography Jenna & James

Fennes Wedding Photography -Jenna & James

The popular Fennes was the chosen Wedding Venue for Jenna and James’ Wedding. On arrival at Fennes  the sound of fun and laughter greeted us!  Preparations were going well and everybody was having a nice time getting ready.  The girls were in the Bridal Suite whilst the guys were keeping out of the way getting ready in one of the bedrooms.  Jenna was so relaxed, giving a helping hand to everybody, sorting herself out in between!  Once James, his Best Man and Ushers were ready they went downstairs for some pictures.  Unfortunately, it was raining but they were able to stand on the steps outside in the dry, whilst David got wet! The men stayed downstairs then and greeted the Guests as they arrived.  When Jenna, looking wonderful, and the girls were ready we took a few portrait pictures of them all, then took Jenna onto the landing for a couple of Bridal shots.

Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer  The Guests made their way into the Pavilion for the Ceremony and after seeing the Registrars, Jenna took her Father’s arm and they made their way to the Pavilion.  After the ceremony Jenna and James led their Guests back through the house to the front where the Drinks Reception. We were prepared for doing the photography in the Gold Room as there wasn’t any prospect of the weather improving. With lots of Guests, Videographers and ourselves, it was busy, but we were really pleased with how smoothly this went.Fennes Wedding Photographer A huge ‘thank you’ goes to the Guests for their co-operation. Later on as we were still unable to venture outside other than on the steps, we took a couple of pictures in the Library before the confetti pictures in the Gold Room.Fennes Wedding Photography Soon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast.  The Speeches followed and as a surprise, Molllie, one of their Bridesmaids sung a song for Jenna and James. Another surprise followed!  A break in the weather!  We couldn’t believe it, nor could anybody else! Without further ado, we were on our way outside for some bridge pictures.  Not pushing our luck we took some pictures in the minimum of time on the bridge, using the gazebo as well.  We persuaded all the guests to come outside so that Jenna & James could have a big group picture.  As they returned to the Pavilion we took a few pictures of Jenna and James in the house before the start of the evening reception. The cutting of the Wedding Cake was followed by the throwing of the bouquet.  Jenna and James took to the floor for their First Dance.  The happy couple planned for some sparkler pictures which we did just with the two of them before it rained too hard, again!  These pictures ended our coverage of Jenna and James’ Wedding. Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer Thank you Jenna and James for smiling constantly throughout your day, you are a lovely couple,  some wonderful pictures we hope you are pleased with. For us another great day of Fennes Wedding Photography!
