Essex Barn Wedding Photography – Sarah & Bob

Sarah and Bob had an Essex Barn wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.

It was beautiful weather at a wonderful Venue. As we arrived we were joined by some of the Wedding Guests. Meeting and greeting happened so we captured these moments. Some Guests had arrived early and made the most of the setting enjoying the weather.

After Bob had spoken to some of the Guests we took him, together with his Ushers and Best Man for a few pictures.

It was soon time for them all to go into the Barn and take their seats for the Ceremony. Sarah travelled to the venue with her two sons and Bridesmaids. Matthew and Adam,Jayne and Sophie had done a good job in calming the nerves that Sarah felt! After a few pictures and seeing the Registrars, Sarah escorted by Matthew and Adam entered the Barn.

It’s Now or Never!

Sarah’s nerves were on hold but as Sarah walked up the aisle they made an appearance! As Sarah arrived at the front the nervous tears went, these were replaced with laughter and tears of joy! Bob had arranged to change the music to ‘It’s now or never” as Sarah arrived. Everyone fell about laughing, this was very apt as Sarah and Bob have been together for 30 years and only now decided to get married! Wonderful moments, lovely pictures. Once the formalities were over Sarah and Bob went out of the Barn and went off for a short ride in the car. Their Guests enjoyed Drinks and Canapies during this time. When Sarah and Bob returned they had a little time to socialise before we got on with taking some requested pictures. A few fun/informal pictures followed. Later following the confetti pictures it was time for the Wedding Breakfast.

The Speeches

The Speeches took place after the meal, some great reactions. Evening Guests arrived to join in the celebrations. During the evening we went for a short walk with Sarah and Bob around Crabbs Barn finishing in the field for a sunset. Cutting of the Wedding Cake was then followed by the their First Dance and dancing. Sarah and Bob wanted a beautiful relaxed, jovial Wedding which is certainly what they had. Thank you Sarah and Bob for asking us to photograph your Wedding, we really enjoyed it!

St Mary Magdalene Church & Prested Hall

It was a beautiful day for Sophia and Glen’s Wedding photography. Our day started arriving at Orsett Hall where Sophia and her Family were staying.

Sophia was getting ready with her Bridesmaids when we went to see her. Preparations were well under way and the girls were enjoying every minute. As they carried on with their preparations David and I got on with taking the pictures of Sophia’s Wedding Dress and her lovely range of accessories. Once the pictures were taken, Sophia then got into her Wedding Dress, assisted by her Bridesmaids. Sophia looked lovely and before we got on with taking some pictures, her Father came into the room to see her. After taking pictures of all of them, as everyone was ready we had time to go out the front of Orsett Hall for some pictures with the cars. We then left to go to St Mary Magdalene Church at Great Burstead.

Arriving at the Church we went to find Glen and his Groomsmen. When they were all together we took a few pictures of them outside the Church before they greeted the Wedding Guests and went into the Church. The Church looked lovely decorated inside and outside by Jo of Brown’s Blooms and Balloons. Sophia arrived a short time later and after we took a couple of pictures, she then took her Father’s arm and entered the Church. After the Church service the Wedding Guests came out first with their confetti and waited for Sophia and Glen. As they exited the Church they were covered in confetti, some nice pictures. A few family group shots were taken in the grounds and of course a few with Sophia and Glen with their dog!

Sophia and Glen wanted a few pictures of the two of them in the Church and we happy to go back inside and take these before we all left the Church. Prested Hall was the setting for Sophia and Glen’s Wedding Reception.

Prested Hall

Everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception and during this time we took some informal pictures and a few other requested ones as well. We had a little time to go over to the Gazebo with Sophia and Glen for a few pictures of them before returning to the Guests and getting everyone together for a big ‘everybody’ picture.

The Wedding Breakfast followed and afterwards it was time for the Speeches. Once these were finished Sophia and Glen had a few relaxed pictures taken with their Bridal Party and we took some relaxed evening pictures around Prested Hall of the two of them. Later Sophia and Glen cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Evening Guests had joined the party so we took some informal pictures of them during the evening. Later as a surprise for their Guests Sophia and Glen provided Sparklers. The weather, which had been lovely all day, decided not to play ball! Fortunately it was only light rain and Sophia and Glen ended up with some lovely Sparklers pictures. After this event we said our ‘goodbyes’. A wonderful day and a lovely couple!

Parklands Quendon Hall Wedding Photography for Sarah & Gordon

This was a Parklands Quendon Hall Wedding for Sarah and and Gordon earlier this year. We arrived at Parklands in the morning and went to see Sarah who was getting ready within the House in the Changing Rooms. Preparations were going well but it was busy with several Bridesmaids having hair and make up done. Gordon and his Groomsmen were getting ready at Parklands as well. As soon as Gordon was ready we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen outside. They then greeted the Guests.

Once Sarah’s hair and make-up were finished Sarah got dressed. As always the last hour goes so quickly but we managed to take a few pictures before Sarah was needed bythe Registrars.

The Outdoors Ceremony

The day was so hot the Guests were seated for the outdoor Ceremony very close to the time of the Ceremony, just before Sarah came downstairs. The Bridesmaids led the way outside, then Sarah took her Father’s arm and they followed. After the Ceremony Sarah, Gordon and their Guests went to the fountain at the back of Parklands for the Drinks Reception. Sarah and Gordon spent a little time with their Guests before we took some family pictures and caught up with the pictures of Sarah and the girls. A little later on we took Sarah and Gordon to the lake but this was only for a short while as the sun was so strong and they were both too hot! Guests later threw confetti over Sarah and Gordon before they all sat down for the Wedding Breakfast.

The Wedding Breakfast and Evening

The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and after the meal the Speeches took place. When these were finished everyone mingled in the Pavilion as well as outside. During this time we took some evening pictures of the happy couple around the grounds as it was now a little cooler. Sarah and Gordon cut their Wedding Cake prior to the First Dance and afterwards it was time for the sunset. A nice one! We stayed a little while longer to capture some informal pictures of the evening celebrations. Happy with our coverage we said our goodbyes. A lovely day!

Evening Wedding Photography

Susannah and Daniel booked us for Evening Wedding Photography when they were married at the popular Crabbs Barn earlier in the year.

When we arrived at Crabbs Barn, Susannah was almost ready and we had enough time to take a few pictures of her and her family. The weather was fine to take some pictures outside the Bridal Room. The sun going down was a bonus and provided a nice setting. Daniel had a few pictures taken before going in to the Barn for the Ceremony.

Following the Ceremony for a few minutes we took Susannah and Daniel off for a few pictures whilst the Guests were served drinks. Susannah and Daniel had time to mingle with their Guests for a short time afterwards.

In the Barn we took a few requested family pictures. Joshua, Susannah and Daniel’s eighteen month old son had a few pictures as well. Before everyone had something to eat we all went outside where the Guests threw confetti over Susannah and Daniel. A couple of informal Speeches took place later. The Band had set up and after the cutting of the cake Susannah took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Our final pictures of the evening were a little later and after that we said our goodbyes. A lovely couple and a nice relaxed Wedding.

Leez Priory Winter Wedding Photography for Robyn & Alan

It was a pleasure to provide Leez Priory Winter Wedding Photography for Robyn & AlanRobyn and Alan. When we arrived at Leez Priory we went to see Robyn who was getting ready with her Mother, Bridesmaids and Flowergirls in the Main House. Robyn’s Gran joined them and enjoyed watching all the preparations. David then went off to find Alan and his Best Men who were getting ready at Leez Priory as well. Alan is his uniform looked very smart and when all of them were ready they had a few pictures taken in front of Leez Priory. Meanwhile the girls were in the final stages of their preparations. Once ready, we got on with taking a few pictures of Robyn and her party in the wonderful atmosphere of Leez Priory.

The Ceremony

Whilst this was happening the Guests were arriving with the Piper playing them in as they made their way into the Great Hall for the Ceremony. Soon it was time for Robyn to take her Father’s arm to go to the Great Hall. The winter sun was shining through the windows as Robyn and Alan exchanged their vows. After the Ceremony, although it was a chilly, it was dry and sunny so we went outside to take some requested pictures. Finishing with the confetti pictures Robyn and Alan had time to mingle with their Guests inside the House while we captured some informal pictures. We took Robyn and Alan for a short walk around the grounds for their pictures together.

The Wedding Breakfast & Evening Celebratins

Not long after we returned it was time for the Guests and Robyn and Alan to make their way unto the Coach House for the Wedding Breakfast. We just love capturing these natural pictures. Following the Wedding Breakfast it was time for the Speeches. Emotion and laughter captured! Once these were over, everyone made their way back to the House for the evening celebrations. As the lights were on Leez Priory we took a couple of pictures of Robyn and Alan with Leez Priory in the background before the First Dance. Robyn and Alan performed a rehearsed First Dance which was brilliant. After capturing a few images of the evening we then said our ‘goodbyes’. A wonderful day!

Wedding Photography The Lawn Rochford – Tracey & John

Tracey and John booked us for their Wedding Photography The Lawn Rochford -. It was a nice day when we arrived at The Lawn on the morning of the Wedding. We went up to the Brides Room to see Tracey first of all. Preparations were in hand and although there were a lot of Bridesmaids and Flowergirls everything was under control. After taking pictures of Tracey’s Wedding Dress, Accessories and a few other pictures the Flowergirls got dressed.

John had arrived with his Best Woman in an old Police car while the guests arrived on a Routemaster bus. Together with the Ushers, John and Sue had some pictures taken before greeting the Guests. Upstairs Tracey was getting dressed initially in another room helped by her Mother and sister as lots was going on. Returning to the Brides Room so Tracey could finish putting on her jewellery we then took a few pictures of them all including Louis, who was in charge of Ring security! He looked brilliant!

The Ceremony

The Guests were seated for the Ceremony and the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls led the way downstairs. Tracey was escorted by her Father and Uncle into the Ceremony Room. Louis caused merriment handing over the rings as this was a surprise to everyone. After the Ceremony it was time for the Drinks Reception. Tracey and John had time to socialise with their Guests for a little while before we got on with taking the requested family group pictures. The grounds at The Lawn are superb and later we took Tracey and John for a few minutes for a short walk around. Pictures taken we ended up by the steps for the confetti pictures. Everyone gathered round, showering Tracey and John with confetti.

The Wedding Breakfast

The Wedding Breakfast was in the Orangery and during the meal a Singer performed a few song. The Speeches followed. As there was time available we took some fun Bridal Party pictures and a few other pictures that Tracey and John wanted. Tracey tossed her bouquet just before the cutting of the Wedding Cake and the First Dance. A little later we finished our coverage of Tracey and John’s lovely Wedding Day.

Wedding Photographer Channels for Nicola & Nick

Our next assignment was Wedding Photographer Channels for Nicola and Nick. We began our coverage of their Wedding joining Nicola at Channels where she was getting ready. The preparations went well considering the number of bodies in a fairly small space on a very hot day!

Nick and his Groomsmen were waiting until the last moment when they had to put on their jackets for their pictures! After taking some pictures of Nick, his Groomsmen and Parents the Bridesmaids got changed whilst Nicola was having the final touches applied to her hair and make-up. They then helped Nicola get into her Wedding Dress.

The Wedding Ceremony

After a few pictures it was time for the Ceremony. Nicola and her attendants made their way outside where Nick and the guests were waiting

After the Ceremony and with their glasses of bubbly Nicola and Nick led their Guests to the area in the grounds for the Drinks Reception.

Unplanned, a Receiving Line occurred! Actually, this turned out ok as the Guests were served with Reception Drinks and could escape into the shade! Whilst this was going on we took some informal pictures. A short time later we got on with the requested family pictures. Later on the afternoon we took the Nicola, Nick and the Bridal Party for a few pictures around the front of Channels. Once these were completed the Bridal Party returned to the Drinks Reception whilst we took Nicola and Nick’s pictures. The trees provided the shade which was very welcome!

The Confetti and Wedding Breakfast

Nicola and Nick were showered in confetti just before the wedding Breakfast.

The Speeches followed the meal. Not to be missed was taking some pictures in the evening light so we then took Nicola and Nick to the lake for a walk around for a few minutes. As their Evening Guests had arrived it was time for the cake cutting which was then followed by the dancing. First of all Nicola and Nick had the chair dance the Hora, around the dance floor before they then had their First Dance. We captured a few pictures of the evening before it was time for the sunset. What a sunset it was! It was nice to work with A most rewarding day of Channels Wedding Photography. It was nice to see and work with Michelle of Bumblebee Bridal again and will see her again very soon.

Wedding Photographer Layer Marney Tower for Stacey & Sam

It was an early start for Stacey and Sam’s Wedding at Layer Marney Tower. Our first port of call was at Stacey’s Parents’ house where Stacey was getting ready. Stacey’s Bridesmaids were getting ready as well and all preparations were going well. We got on with taking pictures of Stacey’s accessories and details. Once the Bridesmaids and Orla the Flowergirl were ready we went into the garden as it was such a nice day to take some pictures. Stacey was soon ready as well and we were able to finish all the pictures.

Off to the wedding

We then headed off to Layer Marney Tower where the Wedding Ceremony was being held. Layer Marney Tower is a glorious setting for a Wedding and looked wonderful in the brilliant sunshine. Meeting with Sam we took a few pictures of him with his Best Man before they greeted the Guests. Some Guests arrived on the Layer Marney bus we captured their arrival. Sam went into the Corsellis Room which was where the Ceremony was taking place after having a brief chat with the Registrars. Meanwhile Stacey had arrived driven by Graham in the Layer Marney Tower. They then made their way into the building for the Ceremony stopping for a couple of quick pictures on the way. After the Ceremony Stacey and Sam went for a short ride whilst the Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the grounds. When Stacey and Sam returned they were dropped at the bottom gate and walked up the path to the Tower watched by their Guests.

After the requested family group pictures Stacey and Sam enjoyed having social time to spend with their Guests. Later when we took Stacey and Sam for a few pictures around Layer Marney. The brilliant caricaturist Steve Hearn and the String Quartet entertained the Guests. Just before the Wedding Breakfast Breakfast in the Long Gallery, it was confetti time. Some nice pictures.

After The meal

After the meal it was time for the Speeches. With it being such a nice evening people made the most to by going outside. During the evening we took a few informal pictures and escaped for a few minutes to take Stacey and Sam around the front of Layer Marney. The bus was there so they had a few fun pictures with that as well before it was time for their cake cutting. Stacey and Sam’s First Dance followed.

We ended our coverage of Stacey and Sam’s Wedding Day with some fabulous sunset and Tower shots. Thank you Stacey and Sam for asking us to take your photographs of your Wedding. It was a lovely day spent with lovely people.

Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Nicola and Robert

Prested Hall was the chosen Wedding Venue for Nicola and Rob’s Wedding. Arriving at Prested Hall we went upstairs to see Nicola. It was nice and relaxed up there with Nicola having the finishing touches applied to her hair and make-up. Robert was downstairs and once he was ready we took a few pictures of him, and a a couple of pictures with his Parents, Brother and Nephews. Robert then went off to join his Guests. Once Nicola was ready, her Father came into the room and saw her before we got on with a few pictures. It was soon time for the Wedding Ceremony. This was going to take place in the Garden Room once the Guests were seated. The children led the way. Keiran and Issac were the Ringbearers and theywere followed into the room by Ellie the Flowergirl. After that Nicola taking her Father’s arm made her entrance. Some lovely moments. After the Ceremony everybody socialised in the Lounge area for a little while, where we were able to capture some informal pictures. A little while later as it was dry and fine day, everyone went outside for a group picture followed by a few requested family pictures. Leaving the Guests for a few minutes we took Robert and Nicola for a few pictures around the grounds of Prested Hall. Not keeping them too long, we managed to take some nice pictures on and over the bridge. This was late Autumn and the light was going fast. Later, finishing off with a picture as the sun was going down was an added bonus. Returning we took a few more requested pictures before we took Nicola and Robert into the Orangery to take a picture of them with their Wedding Cake. It was then time for the Wedding Breakfast. Once everyone had taken their seats we took table shots. Our coverage of Nicola and Robert’s Wedding finished once the meal was served. Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel

We were looking forward to being Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel in the Autumn last year. Having known Hannah for a long time it was a pleasure to be part of Hannah and Daniel’s special day. Our day started at Hannah’s Parents’ house, where Hannah was getting ready with the Bridesmaids. Whilst preparations were going on we took a few pictures of the accessories (loved Hannah’s shoes!) and details.

Ellie, Ruby and Kitty, the younger Bridesmaids and Pip, the Pageboy, were the first to be ready and looked wonderful in the colour scheme Hannah and Daniel had chosen. We took a few pictures of them as Hannah was getting dressed. Wow! Hannah looked amazing in her Wedding Dress! Just enough time for a few pictures of Hannah with her Parents, Gil and Michael and Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboy, before we left. Marks Hall,Coggeshall. It was lovely to be back there again after not being there for a while. It was a dry, bright day and fingers crossed it would remain so. Dan was there with his Groomsmen and we had a little time to take a few pictures. The sun broke through for the pictures.The men then greeted the Guests giving us the opportunity to take a few informal pictures. Hannah and the girls arrived soon after and made their way inside. Hannah and Dan hoped for suitable weather for an outside Ceremony and luckily got this! Guests took their seats. Hannah took her Father’s arm and they made their way outside for the Ceremony. After the Ceremony, Hannah and Dan had time to enjoy the Drinks Reception outside with their Guests. After a short while we got on with the requested family pictures. With these finished everyone continued socialising. Later we took Hannah and Dan for a short time down to the Lake for a few together pictures before the Bridal Party joined us. Fun pictures at the Lake! During the afternoon other pictures were taken finishing with the confetti pictures. Hannah and Dan chose to have the Speeches before the meal so they could really relax and enjoy the food. Once this was finished Hannah and Dan cut their Wedding Cake and the band set up for the evening entertainment. This gave time for Guests to enjoy a stroll around the grounds and gave us an opportunity for a few extra minutes with Hannah and Dan. The sunset beckoned! We could not have asked for a better evening! The Guests made their way to the dance floor ready for Hannah and Dan’s First Dance. After a few songs, Dan then surprised Hannah by singing with the Band as well. Later during the evening the sparklers were lit and these made for some great pictures. That was the end of our coverage of Hannah and Dan’s Wedding although we stayed until late! A superb day! A wonderful couple! Congratulations Hannah and Dan on your Wedding Day!
