  • Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Anna & Michael

Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Anna and Michael. The couple chose the lovely Prested Hall for their Wedding at the end of last year.

    Sunny but flooded!

Weather wise it was not the day that Anna and Michael thought it would be. Although sunny on the day the previous 3 days were heavy rain. Prior to the day access to Prested Hall had been pretty limited. Having photographed many Weddings at Prested Hall, we thought we had seen everything. Usually the lake is the other side of the house but what we first saw as we arrived surprised us! The rain had ceased in the morning and the water was slowly draining away, with a little help from a pump!

    Preparations

Once inside Prested Hall we went upstairs to find Anna and her Bridesmaids. Preparations were going well. Michael was in the later stages of getting ready so when he was ready we went outside for a few pictures.

    Prested Hall Wedding Photography

Afterwards Michael, with his Best Woman, Nikki, went back inside to see the Guests. When Anna was ready with the Bridesmaids. we took some pictures of them all. Anna’s sons, James and Harry, came into to see her before proceeding downstairs.

    Wedding Ceremony

Anna took James’ arm and went into the room for the Wedding Ceremony. Harry proudly played his part in being the Ring Bearer. Following the Ceremony we went outside. There was just enough room to stand on the drier hard standing to take some requested family pictures. David’s feet got a little wet! Once these pictures were completed everybody went back inside Prested Hall for the Drinks Reception.

    Dry Feet

We captured a variety of informal pictures during the time upto the Wedding Breakfast. Before that though, we took Anna and Michael outside for their pictures. Out the back we were really lucky, we used the decking, so Anna and Michael did not get wet feet! A beautiful sunset for Anna and Michael as well.

    Evening Photos

After the meal it was time for the Speeches. James and Nikki did Anna and Michael proud. The Evening Guests arrived a little while later and Anna and Michael cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance.

A couple of final pictures by the Christmas Tree of the happy couple finished our photography coverage. An interesting day of Prested Hall Wedding Photography for Anna and Michael!

  • Wedding Photography at Fennes for Joan & Mark

The next job was Wedding Photography at Fennes for Joan & Mark. The wonderful Fennes was the venue for this early Autumn Wedding.

    Bride’s Prep

We arrived at Fennes and made our way up to the Bridal Room where Joan was getting ready. There was a lot going on! Joan and Mark’s daughters were there with their children. Joan is a very relaxed lady and was just enjoying the merriment and lively atmosphere. Joan had said to us at the pre-wedding meeting, what will be will be! Making sure we took a few pictures of Joan’s Wedding Dress and accessories, we captured lots of informal and fun pictures.

    Groom’s Prep

David went off to find Mark, who was with his Best Man, Martin. It was a greyish day outside with rain in the air so David took a couple of pictures of them on the steps outside the House. Mark and Martin then greeted the Wedding Guests who were arriving and socialising in the House. Upstairs, Joan was in the final stages of getting dressed. Joan’s Grandsons were in their suits and looked very handsome! Once Joan was ready, it was nice to take pictures of them altogether.

    Ceremony in the Pavilion

Meanwhile, the Guests made their way to the Pavilion for the Ceremony. Joan and Mark’s two dogs were going to be putting in a surprise appearance today! So, when all was quiet in the House, David went into the Red Room to take a couple of pictures of them before their task of the day! Everyone came downstairs, Mark was waiting for Joan at the bottom of the stairs and they saw the Registrars together. After this it was all ready to go, the Pageboys were the first entering the Pavilion full of smiles. Lauren, who was Bridesmaid followed, with the little ones, before Joan and Mark followed.

    Special Ring Delivery

When the time came for the exchanging of rings the doors opened and the dogs made their entrance! Would this work! It sure did! The dogs were so excited, but they delivered the rings, had their pictures taken, they were brilliant!

    Wedding Photography at Fennes

Once the Ceremony was completed, Joan and Mark danced down the aisle before towards the front of Fennes. Unfortunately it was raining outside so everybody had to stay in. Plenty of space though so no problem! We used the Gold Room later for some requested family pictures, always keeping an eye on the weather. It did break, the children were first out, followed by others. We took this break to take some pictures of Joan and Mark on the Bridge but kept to the hard standing for a variety of pictures. Joan and Mark had lots of time to spend with their Guests during the rest of the afternoon.

    Meal Time

Whilst the Guests later were taking their seats for the Wedding Breakfast, Joan and Mark provided us with fun and laughter in the corridor, which of course we captured.Joan and Mark chose to have the Speeches before the serving of the meal. Some great reactions.

The Three Waiters sing at Fennes

As a surprise to their Guests, Joan and Mark had arranged for the Singing Waiters to make an appearance during the Wedding Breakfast. This went down a treat! So much laughter and fun, making great pictures. After the Wedding Breakfast there was time to take a few more pictures of Joan and Mark around Fennes.

Later they cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. After capturing a flavour of the evening, it was time for us to depart. A lovely Wedding Day of Wedding Photography at Fennes! A great relaxed couple to work with, thank you Joan and Mark.

  • Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography for Sarah & Ben

    Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography

In the summer last year we provided Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography for Sarah and Ben. It was a lovely warm day when we arrived at Wivenhoe House. We went up to see Sarah, who was getting ready with her daughter, Mia, and her Bridesmaids. All the girls were relaxed and enjoying the time they had in the beautiful room they were getting ready in, before it was time to get dressed. Finishing touches were being applied whilst we got on with taking a few pictures of Sarah’s Wedding Dress and Accessories.

It was nice seeing Sam being Sarah’s Matron of Honour. A few years ago, Sarah was Bridesmaid at Sam’s Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, in 2015. David went off to find Ben who was with his son, Jacob and his Best Man, Liam. Their pictures were taken outside in the grounds. Guests were starting to arrive and enjoyed socialising in the sunshine. Meanwhile Sarah and the girls were getting dressed and Mum and Dad joined us once everyone was ready. We got on with taking some pictures, then it was time for to go outside for the Ceremony.

    Outdoor Ceremony

As we got downstairs, the clouds had gathered and suddenly spots of rain appeared! Thankfully as Sarah taking her Father’s Arm walked towards the Gazebo, by the time she reached it no spots! The sun reappeared and all was well! Phew! The Gazebo looked wonderful and the colour scheme chosen by Sarah and Ben looked lovely.

    Drinks and Pictures

After the Ceremony the Drinks Reception took place. When we took the requested family pictures, it was so nice to have the space to do these not far from everyone. Garden games kept everyone entertained, especially the children, during the afternoon. We took Sarah and Ben for a short walk to the lake for their pictures later.

    wedding couple in wivenhoe house

On our return the Guests threw confetti over Sarah and Ben before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Sarah and Ben chose to have a BBQ and this went down very well with everyone. The Speeches were after the meal. The evening light was wonderful so after the Speeches we took Sarah and Ben for a few minutes around Wivenhoe House for a few pictures. Sarah and Ben cut their Wedding Cake a little later followed by their First Dance. We captured a flavour of the evening with some informal pictures before Sarah and Ben’s sunset pictures. Thank you Sarah and Ben for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers. It was a wonderful day of Wivenhoe House Wedding Photography! Nice to catch up with Craig as well as Sam at the Wedding.

  • Pre-Wedding Pictures for Lisa & Nathan

Lisa and Nathan came to see us one morning in early summer last year for their Pre-Wedding pictures. After coffee and biscuits and a nice chat, it was time for go and take a few pictures of Lisa and Nathan. What a nice morning to choose, the sun was out so we just went down to our River Walk to take a few pictures of them. As you can see, it was relaxed and fun, which these sessions are. Lisa and Nathan’s Wedding was a September Wedding at Fennes, Braintree.

Confetti pictures finished the taking of pictures outside before capturing some pictures informal pictures inside Prested Hall amongst the Christmas decorations.

A beautiful sky marked the end of our pictures outside before Carol and Steve’s Wedding Breakfast. Just before we left them for the meal Carol and Steve pointed the knife at their Wedding Cake as we would not be there at the time the cake would be cut.

Wedding Photography Town Hall Braintree for Jenny & Sam

Jenny & Sam booked us for their Wedding Photography Town Hall Braintree.

When we arrived at the Town Hall we met with Sam  who had just arrived with his Best Man, Alex. We made the most of the peaceful time taking a few pictures of them.

Sam was a bit worried as the Guests were not arriving as early as he expected! As is often the case they had arrived but as  they waited outside for more of them to arrive and then make their entrance! Sam then mingled in the Foyer for a little while.

It wasn’t long before Jenny arrived out at the back of the Town Hall escorted by her Dad.Braintree Town Hall Wedding Photographer They were showed into a room out of sight of everyone else.      Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography  for Tara & Jordan

Tara and Jordan’s Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography included a visit to St Mary’s Church, Layer Marney.

Our first port of call on the morning of the Wedding was at Tara and Jordan’s house.   Tara, her Mother and Bridesmaids were getting ready. When we arrived hair and and make up was going on so after capturing a few shots of this happening we went upstairs to photograph Tara’s dress, shoes etc.

Pontlands Park Wedding Photography – Nicola & Glenn

Pontlands Park Wedding Photography – Nicola and Glenn booked us for coverage of their Evening Wedding Celebrations.

Nicola and Glenn were married abroad a week prior so this was for the UK evening party!

When we arrived at Pontlands Park, Nicola and Glenn were putting the finishing touches to the room layout. Leaving them to it for a little while we went to refamiliarise ourselves with  the grounds, having been a couple of yeears since our last wedding there.

When the room was all set up Nicola and Glenn then changed into their Wedding attire. As they came down the stairs we took a few pictures. Nicola and Glenn wanted some pictures outside of the two of them and as the weather was lovely that is where we went. We took a variety of pictures before their Guests arrived.Pontlands Park Wedding Photography Nicola and Glenn then had time to greet their Guests before we took a few requested family group pictures outside the Hotel. As the weather had been wonderful all day, there was a sunset.

These pictures were a great way to end the outside photos. Inside Guests were socialising and the Band was ready for Nicola and Glenn’s First Dance. After this everyone took to the dance floor or just chatted with friends and family. During this time we took some informal pictures of the dancing, mini relaxed groups and overall pictures to show what was going on. Later, happy with our coverage of Nicola and Glenn’s Wedding Celebrations we said ‘goodbye’ to everyone. A lovely evening!

  • Cliffs Pavilion Wedding photography – Tricia & Colin

Cliffs Pavilion Wedding photography – Tricia & Colin

Cliffs Pavilion Wedding Photography – Tricia and Colin’s summer Wedding last year was held at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend-on-Sea. It was a sunny and warm but extremely windy day, but we coped!

Arriving at Cliffs Pavilion we went off to find Colin who was in the  Ceremony room. Everything was going to take place in the one room and finalising the details was going well.

We managed to take a few pictures of Colin with his Groomsmen outside and their hats stayed on! Soon it was time for Tricia to arrive, so we left Colin and went upstairs to await Tricia. At least Tricia didn’t have far to walk until she was inside the building. Meanwhile the Wedding Guests were being greeted by the Lady Ushers and they took their seats for the Ceremony.

    The Ceremony

Tricia escorted by her Brother entered the room for the Ceremony. Essex Wedding PhotographerRing exchange was saved for the religious part of the ceremony which would follow on once the Registrars left. After the Registers were signed Tricia and Colin walked down the aisle and then waited at the entrance to the room.

The Guests stayed seated whilst the room was changed around. We took a few pictures of Tricia and Colin whilst this was happening. For the Blessing service, a Band and singers performed, Tricia and Colin exchanged rings and extra words were said.

Following the finish of the service Tricia and Colin went outside for a couple of pictures by the car. Cliffs Pavilion Wedding PhotographerThe Guests were served Drinks and entertained by a Singer. After Tricia and Colin spent a little time with their Guests during the Drinks Reception we got on with the requested family pictures.

There was shelter from the wind outside the building which is where we took the pictures. For Tricia and Colin’s ‘together’ pictures we found a secluded area not far from where we were and that was fortunately out of the wind. Wedding Photographer EssexWith some social time left Tricia and Colin spent time with their Guests before the Greeting Line. The Wedding Breakfast followed.

A little while after the Speeches took place Tricia and Colin cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Guests then joined them, Colin played his Guitar to add to the evening celebrations. Our last pictures of the evening were of the Sunset, still with a strong wind!Essex Wedding Photographer It was time for us to say our ‘goodbyes’ after a nice Wedding Day for Tricia and Colin. It was nice to see Trish and Chris again, we photographed their Wedding at St Margaret’s Church, Downham, in 2016. It was also good to work with Humble Productions again as well.

  • High House Wedding Photography – Beth & Jason

High House Wedding Photography – Beth & Jason

High House Wedding Photography at last! When previously asked to photograph Weddings at High House Althorne, we have already been booked for other wedding venues. It was great now to actually photograph at this wonderful venue.

Our day started early at High House at the Bridal Dressing area where Beth was getting ready with her Parents and Bridesmaids. The setting looked lovely and it was good to take a few pictures around before it became filled up with people. Beth’s preparations were going well. Beth opened her present from Jason whilst the finishing touches were being applied to the Bridesmaids.

Beth and Jason were having a Church Wedding so there was not a lot of spare time but enough for a few pictures outside in the gardens. High House Althorne Wedding Photographer

    St Mary’s Church, Woodham Ferrers

David and I then left to go to St Mary’s Church, Woodham Ferrers. The sun was shining brightly when we got to the Church. The Guests walked up the long path to the Church through an avenue of trees making for some nice arrival pictures.Jason was with his Groomsmen and before they greeted too many of the Guests we got on with taking their pictures. The Flowergirls and Pageboy were at the Church as well and had a few pictures taken as well. They were excitedly awaiting the arrival of Beth which made for some nice images. Wedding Photographer EssexIt wasn’t very long before they all went into the Church, Beth had arrived.

At the Church doorway, Beth took her Father’s arm and entered the Church. After the Church service, a little time for meeting and greeting then we got on with taking the requested family pictures. These went very smoothly in next to no time.

    The Confetti

The Guests lined the path and showered Beth and Jason in confetti as they left the Church.Everyone made then made their way to the Reception at High House.Wedding Photographer High House

    Wedding Reception at High House

The Stable Bar Courtyard was where everyone socialised and had where the Drinks Reception was held. When Beth and Jason arrived they joined their Guests for a while to unwind and relax. During this this time we took some informal and small group pictures. Before the Wedding Breakfast Beth and Jason’s together pictures were taken around the grounds. High House Wedding PhotographyThe wind was getting up but there are many areas to get out of the wind this wasn’t a problem. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Marquee and once the Guests were seated Beth and Jason made their entrance and took their seats. After the meal it was time for the Speeches. Following this Beth and Jason’s evening Guests started to arrive.

    The Evening Reception

Beth tossed her bouquet to her group of friends before the cake cutting.  Beth and Jason had their first dance together before the dancing properly began. Fingers were crossed for a few nice evening pictures. So lucky! A brilliant sunset topped it all! Essex Wedding PhotographerHappy with our coverage we then went to say our ‘goodbyes’. It was nice to see Chris and Hannah again and to meet their son, Felix. Chris an Hannah were married at Fennes in 2016. Thank you for recommending us to Beth and Jason.
