We met Alison and Mike, who are getting married at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, and Dominique and Lea, who are getting married at Butley Priory, Sufolk, recently. With both of their Weddings soon, there was much to talk about in setting plans and timings for their big days.

Wedding Photography for Sarah & James – Fennes
It was a beautiful spring day for the Wedding of Sarah and James at The Fennes Estate, Bocking. Sarah and her Bridesmaids were busily getting ready with everything going very smoothly. James was also getting ready at Fennes and when he was ready he greeted the arrival of the first Guests for their Wedding, before some pictures of him , his Best Man and Ushers. Sarah was very soon ready and together with her Bridesmaids had a few pictures taken before the Civil Ceremony. Following the Ceremony, Sarah and James led their Guests through the House and outside for the Drinks Reception. Guests enjoyed the warm sunshine whilst we got on with a few requested family group pictures. Fun and laughter took place during some bridal party pictures before we managed to take Sarah and James for a litte while for their pictures.
Sarah and James had a few pictures in the Red room before it was time for confetti pictures and the Wedding Breakfast. Speeches followed before a break before the evening. Being such a lovely day, Sarah and James had a wonderful sunset picture before it was time for the First Dance.
We took some evening Guest pictures, before James and the Wedding Guests were given a surprise with a rehearsed dance by Sarah and the girls! The response by the boys, an unrehearsed dance! Great fun, lovely atmosphere, wonderful captured images of the day!

No pressure – Professional Wedding Photographers!
When you book our services you will not be pressurised into booking other wedding services for our profit. We earn our living photographing weddings. If you ask for our recommendations we will gladly give them because that supplier or service is known to us as reliable, responsible etc, not for a payment!
Similarly, when a Venue recommends us it is because we do a good job and work well with the other suppliers, not because we pay a commission! We do know of a few Venues who are very insistant that you use specific suppliers, I wonder why?
Should you visit our studio to view our work, there will be no pressure to book. Our clients book because they want us to to a job, not because we pressurised them!

Wedding Photography for Nicole & Stephen at Gosfield Hall
On arrival at Gosfield Hall, after saying ‘hello’ and a few words with Nicole and the girls in the Rococco Suite, David went off to find the men as they were getting ready in another suite. I stayed with the girls as there was lots to capture before Nicole got dressed. Meanwhile David was taking some pictures of Stephen and his Groomsmen in the Library once they were ready as it was unfortunately raining. We took some lovely pictures of Nicole, her Bridesmaids and Flowergirl Daisy, before it was time for the Civil Ceremony in the Queen’s Gallery. After the Ceremony, Nicole and Stephen made their way downstairs to the Library for the Drinks Reception.
Later some family group pictures were taken in the Grand Salon. Gosfield Hall provides wonderful opportunities inside for photographs and as we could not go outside we made full use of the rooms, staircases and corridors for pictures of Nicole and Stephen.
Following the Wedding Breakfast, it was time for the Speeches. Before the Evening Reception, Nicole and Stephen wanted a few photographs in the Bridal Suite, which we took. Once their Evening Guests arrived the cake cutting was followed by the First Dance and shortly afterwards the Guests were treated to a Firework Display.

Horsemeat found in wedding photography!
The scandal continues now that authorities have discovered up to 100% Horsemeat in some wedding photography. The culture of cheap deals has been blamed with large quantities of untested, unregulated snappers looking to make a quick buck and hoping that nobody will find out.
A government spokesman said Horsemeat in wedding photography was only hazardous to the health of the snapper, the lack of a Bride’s happy memory of her big day was only an issue for Civil Courts.
Miss Hacked Offbride, a spokesperson for Disgruntled Brides Association, said she was surprised to find that despite having good cameras some unqualified photographers were delivering 100% horsemeat!
Qualified Professional Photographers who are Members of The British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and Master Photographers Association (MPA) seem less affected by this scandal and are seeing an increase in trade.
Further revelations regarding other wedding trades are expected soon.

Wedding Photography for Sally & Steve – Braxted Park, Witham
Sally and Steve chose the beautiful Wedding Venue, Braxted Park, for their Wedding. Sally was getting ready in the house, and when we arrived preparations were going well and with ample space for everybody to move around some nice images were captured. The rain that had been falling during the morning fortunately had stopped for some pictures of Steve outside with his Best Man and Parents. Sally and Steve had an early Wedding Ceremony as they wanted ” to make the most of a wonderful day”. The Wedding Ceremony was held in the Orangery and afterwards, Sally and Steve and ourselves went out towards the front of the House, whilst the Guests went the other way to the steps for the ‘everybody’ picture.
After this picture, with help from the Bridesmaids in keeping Sally’s dress from getting wet, Sally and Steve were showered in confetti before the Drinks Reception. Allowing time for socialising and for us taking some informal pictures, a few requested family photographs were taken, before making our way towards the Gazebo, where it was dry underfoot for some pictures. With the Bridal Party joining us as well we took a few fun pictures before they returned to the Pavilion leaving us with Sally and Steve. A change of footwear for Sally, an extremely quick drive to the Lake, a few pictures before returning to their Guests. The Wedding Breakfast was followed by the Speeches and towards the latter part of the Speeches the late afternoon sun was peering through the trees so after the Speeches Sally and Steve were more than happy to take advantage of this.
Sally and Steve’s evening celebrations started with the arrival of their evening Guests, then the Bouquet toss before the First Dance. Sally and Steve performed a fantastic rehearsed First Dance which delighted everybody. With the lights on around Braxted Park, Sally and Steve wanted a few evening pictures which we enjoyed doing before leaving them to continue with their party.

Wedding Photography for Kavita & Sam – The Fennes Estate, Bocking
We arrived at Fennes for the Wedding of Kavita and Sam with plenty of time to capture pictures of Kavita getting ready, then moving to The Fennes Suite for some pictures of Kavita, her Family and Bridesmaids. In between times we found Sam, his Best Man and Ushers, who were greeting Guests and took a few pictures of them before they went to the Pavilion for the Civil Ceremony. After the Ceremony, with the weather not playing ball, everybody stayed in the House for the Drinks Reception. During this time we took some family group photographs in the Gold Room, mixed with a few Bridal Party pictures and a few pictures of Kavita and Sam.
David and I are always up for going outside whatever the weather if the Bride and Groom want to as well, and as Kavita had her “Weddington Boots” , we took the opportunity. With the help of a few of the Bridal Party and umbrellas, off we went to the Bridge.
A short stop for a couple of pictures in the Gazebo, then back in the dry! Thank you to all! Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed before Kavita and Sam left their Guests for a change of dress for their Evening Reception. Once changed, we took some photographs of the two of them before they made their entrance for the start of the Evening celebrations.
After a few dancing pictures, and relaxed, informal pictures of their Guests and evening Guests, it was time for us to leave.

Wedding Photography for Nerys & Chris – Parklands, Quendon Hall
What a beautiful day Nerys and Chris chose for their Wedding at Parklands, on the Essex and Hertfordshire border! As we arrived, the men were finishing their preparations downstairs in the house whilst Nerys was upstairs, about to move rooms to get dressed and have some pictures taken.
Having plenty of time and being in the splendid ‘red room’ (room l) we were very happy! Following the Civil Ceremony, everybody went outside to enjoy a Drinks Reception in the warm sunshine. Nerys and Chris requested some group pictures which we arranged whilst the Guests enjoyed playing the garden games, which provided laughter and fun, and some amusing pictures! Leaving the Guests for a little while ,Nerys, Chris and ourselves went for a short time around the grounds of Parklands.
The Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed, before the evening celebrations. Nerys and Chris wowed their Guests with a fantastic rehearsed First Dance routine and we said goodbye to them after taking a couple of pictures outside the front of Parklands.
