Kent Wedding Photography – Somerhill School

Kent Wedding photography – Emma and Nick had booked us for their Wedding Photography over 18 months ago. They were recommended by Nick’s Best Man, Cameron, and his wife Judith, who were married at The Fennes Estate in 2012. It was a beautiful day and an early start for us for their Wedding photography in Tonbridge, Kent. Emma was having the final touches applied to her make-up at her Parents’ home and we quickly got on with the accessory shots before Emma was ready to put her Wedding Dress on. We took some images of Emma on the stairs and the hallway where the light was good, before going into the garden for some pictures with the family and Emma’s Bridesmaid, Anna.

With time on our side for a change and everyone relaxed we achieved some nice pictures and then left for the Church. St Peter’s Church, Southborough, was where Emma and Nick were to be married. When the Flowergirls arrived we photographed them together with some Guest arrivals. Nick, Cameron, and the Ushers provided us with some great images of them walking to the Church across the Green prior to a few formal shots of them all at the Church. Emma arrived shortly afterwards and entered the Church. We were able to provide different angles as we were allowed to photograph from the balcony and the aisle. After the service, we took a couple of pictures of the Bridal Party outside the Church followed by the confetti pictures. Emma and Nick then led their Guests across the road to the Green for some family group pictures which took around ten minutes. The Guests then waved Emma and Nick off to the Wedding Reception. Emma and Nick were allowed to have their Reception at Somerhill School, Tonbridge as they were both former pupils. A superb setting for a Wedding Reception! As the Guests were arriving and were welcomed with canapés and drinks, Emma, Nick and ourselves went for a quick walk around some of the grounds as time was now short!We did however make sure Emma and Nick had a little time to enjoy the canapes and socialise with their Guests, whilst we took some some reportage style pictures. Shortly before the Receiving Line and Wedding Breakfast we did the everybody shot which helped the Toast Master. After our coverage of the Speeches, the evening light and weather was even better and we managed to take Emma and Nick for a few minutes for some evening shots.

Their Evening Guests arrived and Emma tossed her bouquet, just before the First Dance. We thought the fantastic sunset would really round off a their great day of pictures, however when Emma and Nick went to get their Fish and Chips from the van they laid on, we got a couple of great night shots with the happy couple outside the illuminated School! A wonderful Wedding! Thank you Cameron (Best Man) and Judith for recommending us, it was lovely to see you again. It was nice to work with the Toastmaster, Jim Cattermole again, and thanks to the Caterers for looking after us so well. As for the fantastic Band, great to meet you! It seems Kent wedding photography is well suited to us!

Wedding Photography Crabbs Barn – Abi & Paul

Wedding Photography Crabbs Barn – It was a lovely day with a bit of a breeze, when we arrived at Abi’s Mum’s house for the final bridal preparation pictures. Whilst these were going on, David went to see Paul and the Groomsmen who were getting ready close by. Everything was running smoothly and by the time David returned the flower girls were ready and not long afterwards so was everybody else. With some family pictures taken it was time to leave for Plume Avenue United Reform Church. Paul, his Best Men and Ushers had a few pictures taken before the arrival of Abi. Making her entrance into the Church on her Mother’s arm we were able to get some nice pictures from the balcony as well as from the front of the church. After the service Abi and Paul requested an everybody shot before going outside for the confetti pictures. The Reception was held at the popular and superb Crabbs Barn in Kelvedon. As we were there with Abi and Paul before most of the Guests we all went for a quick walk around Crabbs Barn for a few of their pictures. During the Drinks Reception some family group pictures were taken, followed by some fun bridal party pictures. After photographing the Speeches ,which followed the Wedding Breakfast, the weather and evening light was good so we took Abi and Paul for a walk in the lane achieving some relaxed pictures ending with a sunset picture. The evening reception began, Evening Guests arrived, and once the Band was set up, Abi and Paul took to the floor for their First Dance. To finish our coverage of Abi and Paul’s Wedding Day we took a nightime picture of them outside the Barn.

Engagement Pictures for Emma & James

Engagement Pictures – It was a warm bright day when we arrived one morning at the home of Emma’s Parents for Emma and James’ Engagement Pictures. After a chat about their Wedding, the lovely garden provided us with opportunities of taking some nice pictures. Emma and James are getting married in the summer at Court Lodge Barn, Stansted, Kent.

Braintree Registry Office & Crofters Wine Bar Wedding – Lara & Mark

Braintree Registry Office Wedding – We were pleased to be asked to photograph the Wedding of Lara and Mark at Braintree Registry Office. Lara was Bridesmaid at her sister Leanne’s Wedding earlier last year at The Barn Brasserie, Great Tey which we photographed. Now it was role reversal time for Lara and Leanne! On arrival at the Registry Office we met Mark, his Best Man and Ushers and took a few pictures of them. It wasn’t long before Lara arrived, looking lovely, accompanied by her daughter, Mum, Dad and Leanne. It was a dry, bright, but chilly day, so after a few photographs, everybody went inside for the Civil Ceremony. The requested family group pictures were taken before we took Lara and Mark for a very quick but short walk away from the Guests for their pictures. It’s quite a while since we last photographed a Braintree Registry Office wedding but we have done so many over the years that it did not take may seconds to refamiliarise ourselves with surroundings! The Reception was held at Crofters Wine Bar, Witham, and during the afternoon we captured the relaxed atmosphere of the day, which Lara and Mark wanted to achieve.

Gaynes Park Wedding Photography – Melanie & Antony

Melanie and Antony chose the superb Wedding Venue, Gaynes Park in Epping, for their Wedding. The weather on the day could not have been better and added to the setting. Melanie and the girls were in the Apple Loft Cottage with final preparations taking place when we arrived. We took a few pictures of Antony with his Best Man and Ushers, shortly after they arrived, making sure we captured him on his Speedway motorbike! Once the girls were ready we took a few portraits of them before the Civil Ceremony. Melanie looked lovely as she made the walk from the cottage through the gate and along the path towards the Orangery. Following the Ceremony, Melanie and Antony led their Guests outside for the Drinks Reception. Greeting their Guests made for some relaxed pictures before a few family group pictures, which was followed by a short walk around the grounds of Gaynes Park for Melanie and Antony’s pictures. After a break with their guests, we arranged the confetti pictures outside the Orangery just before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Guests made their way to the Mill Barn and were followed in by Melanie and Antony. The speeches followed the wedding Breakfast during which we captured candid relaxed pictures. The light was good after the meal so we took the opportunity for a few more pictures of the happy couple culminating in some really nice sunset shots. The First Dance generated some very emotional pictures, our day ended with a picture under the illuminated Gaynes Park Gazebo, to complete our coverage of a lovely Wedding.

Wedding Photography for Cara & Ben – The Essex Barn at The White Hart, Great Yeldham

Cara was busy with her final preparations when we arrived at her home, which we captured before leaving to go to St Nicolas Church, Witham for the Church service. Guests were arriving but we were able to take squeeze in a few pictures of Ben with his Best Men and Ushers before Cara arrived. Following the Ceremony and a few family group pictures in the Churchyard Cara and Ben were showered in confetti at the gate, before leaving for The White Hart at Great Yeldham. Whilst all the Guests were arriving, Cara and Ben wanted to get their together pictures taken in the grounds, before mingling with their Guests in the Drinks Reception. Later after a discussion with Hayley, the Wedding Co-Ordinator, we decided the best time to do the ‘everybody’ shot was when the Guests moved between the Drinks Reception and the Wedding Breakfast. After the Wedding Breakfast we captured the expressions of the Speeches before Guests exited the Barn to enjoy the evening sun. This was an opportunity to complete the pictures of the day. Our finishing pictures were of Cara and Ben dancing the night away.

It was good to meet up with Amy, Gareth and their Son, Reece, again one evening recently. After filling in details of their Wedding at Newland Hall, Chelmsford, soon, we took a few pictures of Amy and Gareth as well as a couple with Reece.

Wedding Photography for Gemma & Richard – Fennes

Gemma and Richard chose the superb Fennes Estate for their Spring Wedding. With final bridal preparations taking place, Richard and his Groomsmen were arriving. Being a dry and bright day, and once Richard was ready, we took a few pictures of him, his Best Man, Ushers and Parents outside. All was well with the Girls and after taking a few pictures of them it was time for the Civil Ceremony.Whilst Gemma and Richard were in the Wedding Ceremony, there was a short shower, but by the time they had greeted their Guests in the Drinks Reception we were able to go outside for the main pictures. Gemma and Richard had chosen a colourful theme for their day which blended well with the sunshine and daffodils. A wonderful setting, lovely pictures! Making sure Gemma and Richard had breaks in between their pictures to talk to their Guests, gave us the chance to capture the informal pictures. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and was followed by the Speeches. Later Gemma and Richard wanted a couple of pictures outside the Bridal Cottage and in the Gold Room . After the cake cutting it was time for the First Dance and Gemma and Richard surprised their Guests with their rehearsed dance routine, which was great! Our day ended a short time later.
